The scorching heat of Pyre Grove is just as intense as usual. The small arena being a tough place to fight on, testing the user's capabilites in a small environment. This will be a test of wits, planning and stratergy, using the environment to your advantage being the key to victory.

The combatants stand in the middle of the arena, about 10 meters away from eachother and another 6.5 meters away from the edge, leading to a fiery doom. Both of you are on the same height, meaning that you have 15 Meters of sloping upwards and downwards. May the best combatant win.

Trial by Fire [Daichi Vs. Death A6d5a7cb551a929e6d4549775b940cec
Hmm, so this is where i'm going to fight my first opponent. Before I took over, my old self might have just resigned himself and either quit, never show up, or even intentionally lose. It still pisses me off that he would do such a thing when he could win. Life is all about winning and losing, but he permanently resigned himself to losing. A fool like that shouldn't be in charge of this body. Anyway. My opponent is over there, ten meters away. This arena is tilted and looks all irregular. And There is a dome over us and what looks like.... lava below. Fanfuckingtastic. And the floor is fucking blazing hot! Anyway, I need to get up high, which means I need to change into my true form, which would be a good idea anyways. I shudder as my normal body is consumed by the black liquid of myself, transforming almost the entirety of my apparent being except for my height. I grow large, bat-like wings from my back, I'm covered from head to toe with golden armour, my soulbound fuses with myself on the back of my hands, making me have nine inch wolverine claws basically (whooo), and in my face grows a multitude of horrors, unseeable due to the completely fitting helmet.

Trial by Fire [Daichi Vs. Death Maxresdefault

....As much as I want to do a hilariously frightening yet cheesy speech in this form towards my foe, now is not the time for it. We are in combat, and only fools monologue. At least, without moving, but it's still a distraction. I quickly flap my wings to get myself 5 meters in the air, directly above my former position. I then boost my speed with one of my special skills, hoping to be fast enough to combat my foe... whoever they are.

Let the dance commence!

Character Appearance:

"My, well if it isn't completely sweltering!" The garish man sauntered forwards, sweat clinging to his skin beneath his blue and white leotard as he fanned his face with a hand. The grace and beauty that was Lucas Fulbrite stood a good 5'11" with a slim and trim frame of 140lbs. He slicked his flawless blond hair back.
"I could just melt in this heat! What a rather splendid stage for my first dance of the evening, I simply must speak to my agent about this." Things could certainly be better, but he could do much worse than the center of a volcano of sorts. While he much preferred the spine-tingling chill of the rink, a change in scenery was always a welcome sight. Broadened the horizons, the experience was surely worth the toil. At least it must be, Lucas would not allow something so silly as scalding stone perturb him, no sir! He would give everything to the dance. To twirl and spin and enthrall no matter the stage! It was in his blood, nay, his very bones ached for it! Patiently in place so he stood, 10 meters from his opponent, 6 and a half from the broiling magma behind him, and an incline spanning 15 meters from top to bottom.

"My my, why aren't you the handsome devil! I was hoping for someone a little more dainty but a man's man! Mmmm, count me in!" the slim dancer flirted with the absolutely rugged piece of eye candy before him.
"Lucas Fulbrite, Prancing Lad of the Rink, a pleasure to have this dance, good sir," he bowed gracefully. This man... yes, he would dance the Devil's Tango with him tonight! Glorious, oh how so radiant it would be! His tortured screams letting out the Life's last breath... exquisite. Ravishing he may be, Lucas knew that he was much like himself: a devil in fine dress. And devils could not be allowed to besmirch this earth with their taint, for none were as full of splendor as he. For this, they would dance! His bones would break, his body ache, his flesh torn asunder in a beautiful rose bouquet! The devil would dance his last, but oh how magnificent a dance it would be!

"I would be delighted to take your hand an- Oh, we're already starting, ha ha! ~<3" The distinguished lad would chuckle as his darling partner would contort his body into the hideous beastly thing he knew he was inside and take to the air in elegant flaps. Lucas would also begin to take his more elegant form, performing a flawless Biellman spin, eschewing glittering sparkles as ice coated his body and began to melt away.

True Self Appearance:

"I'm ready for my debut! May we begin our radiant ballet...? Hmm hmm ~<3

When the spinning came to a halt a perfect creature rivaling only the angels in beauty would be standing in Lucas's place. The same height, the same flawless looks albeit with noticeably less clothing so as to present his impressive body to the world. Blue of skin like the flawless sky, he embodied the element he held most dear: Ice. Lucas, nay! Vanitas... loved the ice. It was as smooth and inviting as he, a perfect structure testament to Nature's beauty... On his feet he bore wicked ice skates capable of slicing even the hardiest and stubborn of elements in twain. His hands held twin MP9's, wicked little sub machine guns capable of piercing the hearts of his adoring fans... along with their brittle rib cages as well.

Weapons:

Vanitas chuckled a gleeful chuckle and turned his eyes upward toward his opponent, summoning the winds to aid him. A valiant effort, but one ultimately in vain. His fate had been sealed as soon as he stepped foot into the arena...
"Now let's do something about this abhorrent heat...~<3" he giggled sultrily, extending a hand toward the ground. From his fingertips ice would sprout, covering the ground in a layer of ice 6 inches thick. This ice would cover the entire incline of the stage top to bottom, a good 15 meters, while spreading the 6 and a half meters behind him and 8 and a half meters in front of him, another 15 meters for his capability. 8 meters of scorching earth on his opponent's side of the stage would remain, of course. As talented as he was, Vanitas was not a miracle worker. These talents of his were taxing on the spirit, not something he could waste on ugly landscape.
"Do please go ahead, my darling golden lark! Continue, give me a good dance!" he would egg on, more frost flying from his fingertips as he formed a perfect image of himself from ice and frost. The demonesque deity of cold would dance lithely circle around his creation with nonchalant grace, keeping an eye towards his opponent in anticipation of his move.

Hmph. Is this fool openly showing sexual orientation in a fight? Disgusting and foolhardy. Openly trying to make advances on the opponent? Is this some sort of strategy? No matter. He will fall like the rest. Looks like he transformed into some sort of..... blue-skinned form? Is he of an Ice orientation? That would make sense with his skates. .... He has dual machine guns. Shit. He.... he just.... froze the majority of the arena, up to about 1.5 meters away from my current position. He seems to be well versed in ice skating and he just made himself the perfect area for it. I must quickly correct this. Did he also make a statue of himself? I don't trust that. "FOOL!" I yell at this man... Lucas is his name. I fly down to the edge of the ice and attempt to destroy all of it with a torrent of wind concentrated through the ice with a punch at it, destroying the ice and his cover from the floor, and possibly also his mobility if he doesn't do something. After that I shoot a burst in his direction with my own machine gun. I then proceed to move forward 3 meters and back up to 3 meters high to get ready to attack him.

Oh, such a display! This raw, unrelenting force was exactly what Vanitas had hoped to see! Such unrestrained power! Although... it came at the cost of his beauty. Pity, that. Well now, can't have that, can we? What a shame this destructive gallant eagle needs to die. The massive impact from the Demon's blow was more than enough to shatter all the ice coating the battleground, giving no surprise to the dancer. He was anticipating such a test of might, although a little more direct of one. Nevertheless his reaction time was quick enough to avoid even stumbling a tiny bit as the frozen cold below his feet gave way as it evaporated into a lingering powder, dropping onto his skates gracefully. Excellent indeed! His rippling, icy body would be obscured amidst the driving crystal... As for his magnificent visage, however, remained delicately untouched, and the statue remained standing. There was radiance and wonder in unimaginable power such as that... but the destruction was ugly. Not fitting for this world. Not long for it either. A cheschire grin tugged at Lucas/Vanitas's lips.

"Now now, that wasn't very sweet of you..." he would coo. Strong as his opponent was, Lucas/Vanitas was that much more swift. He knew that the gusty assault would not harm him and allowed it to pass him by without action... but there would be repercussions for such a vile act. For one, he was making mistakes left and right. There was no variation in his movements, no variety! He traveled on a straight plane, so easily exploited. As the ice cracked and broke around him, Vanitas took a quick step forward and laid out a soft blue hand, forming yet another statue in front of him. He used this statue to push himself backward into the arms of the other as the Demon drew his firearm. Second mistake. It was quite the faux pas to stay where he was for any length of time, the dancer had the golden lark right where he wanted him. As shots rang out they entered his flawless, icy double, shattering it to pieces, but bought Lucas/Vanitas time. While incoming rounds were being fired, the devil of the rink whispered a sweet, lone word.

"Beira...~<3"

Materializing before him quickly a gorgeous Queen would appear, a giantess standing at 7 feet, with perfect turquoise skin clad in gay attire such as he, with long sapphire hair of silk...

Beira, Queen of Winter:

Oh, how regal and splendid and beautiful was she! Not to mention deadly... Queen Beira held forth a clawed hand, and just as soon as the statue Lucas/Vanitas was shattered a bullet pinged into her abdomen and she fired a powerful blast of cold the width a man was tall a meter above the Demon's head, sweeping downward like a beam as it traveled to the end of the arena. The Demon of Conquest would be jumping straight into the torrent of sub-zero chill if he chose to ascend from the ground into the sky like he had intended. Dodging to the left or the right was an option, of course, but it would require enhanced reflexes to avoid being caught by the beam. Those magnificent wings worked to his detriment here, providing a larger target to strike. Forwards and backwards was also a death sentence. He would need to act quickly...

Yet as Queen Beira did so, Lucas/Vanitas had his own missives. Using his own likeness to propel himself, he would skate along the edge of the arena in a wide arc, strafing just along the edge of it as carried himself along, heading to the peak of the arena, the very tippy top of the slope.
"You should do well not to underestimate you partner's skill! I might just surprise you... hmm hmm hmm! ~<3" giggled the prancing lad as he propelled himself along the dastardly hot ground at a quick pace.

What the.... the fool can still move..... he summons ice wherever he slides!? Damn, well, at least he seems to be suffering the effects of the ground. What the.... he made another statue. Whatever. Yes! The bullets broke through it! .....He summoned a reverse persona to block the last bullet. Damn. Oh SHIT! ICE BEAM!!! I quickly stop flapping and sprint diagonally to the left 5 meters using the shadows to boost my speed and then use the momentum to take off at the end to a height of 2 meters while moving diagonally another meter, quickly spraying a burst after take-off at Lucas, between Lucas and his statue, and at the statue. Shit, he had such an attack in his arsenal. If I didn't have that 1 meter of distance from my head I would have been screwed. That was an ice beam from the reverse's hand, right? I need to be wary whenever it appears. I also need to keep up my momentum, or i'm done.

Queen Beira's frost beam shifted downward at lightning speed, coating the ground in a thin frost as it climbed toward The Demon of Conquest... and missed entirely. Such pity. The meaty armored giant would have made for a fantastic gallery piece, such a work of art! Those angles! That girth! Imposing, powerful, intimidating! ...if only he would have been a good little songbird and stayed put. Instead he fought and writhed like the cur he was and found a means of escape, darting closer toward the peak of the smoldering rink of fire. What a shame, that. Oh well, can't win them all! What enjoyment would there be without a struggle, a challenge! The clashing of an unstoppable force of nature's beauty and an immovable specimen of a man ~<3. Oooooo-oh-oh... That armor... How he loved a man in uniform... It truly was unfortunate he was resigned so strongly to his fate, they could have waltzed so beautifully together... *sigh*

Vanitas clutched his magnanimous Queen of Winter back into the recesses of his mind, safe from the bullets and assault and harm. Her fragile visage could only handle so much, after all. Vanitas kept up his rhythm, the scraping of his skates like a symphony among the stone, crashing against the bubbling ichor in a concerto of defiance! The golden lark... he edged closer and once more unfolded his gleaming wings to the winds, taking himself nearly 3 meters above the ground and much closer to the prancing lad, he would say between 3 and 4 meters between the two of them. The quaint little arena left little room to stretch his legs. He could see him aiming his rifle and prepared for the incoming assault... but nay, he did not aim at his gleaming, perfect form! He had gone for the decoy! What luck, such a boon this was! Vanitas would have more than enough time to prepare his own counter attack.

He targeted his frigid copy first, a round echoing into its frozen form, the icy duplicate holding fast under gunfire. But... it was SO far away! The magnificent golden lark would need to swing his barrel from the scapegoat to the real deal, a good 8 meters or so. This left Vanitas with PLENTY of time to meet his steps. As the first round entered the sculpture and the second round skipped across the rocks, Vanitas holstered his own firearm, holding his arm to his shoulder. When the dastard's weapon began to line up with himself he knew that this was the time to react! Showtime! Vanitas turned himself, his back toward the trough of the arena and kicked off the lip of the sweltering stage, travelling 4 meters rapidly toward his opponent. The fired round sailed above his head, the elegant dancer feeling a passing need to wave to it as it left. His quick movement ended just below the flying beast, quite the short distance at that! If he had merely stretched out his arms he could have graced his fingers along those rugged iron boots. Mmmmm ~<3.

He shot like a lightning bolt, rapidly covering all that ground as he left tender flakes of snow in his wake. His quick movement may have ended just under the beefy devil yet his momentum did not subside. Using his honed, lightning reflexes the azure beauty would flash-freeze an icy lance  one meter in length into his fingertips and hurl it quickly to pierce the center between winged one's shoulder blades. It was an easy throw, his target was right next to him, after all. No more difficult than playing trashcan basketball...
quick pace.
"Shiiiiia!" he grunted in exertion, the icy projectile dancing past his fingertips as it left to seek a comfortable position through metal and bone. Should he freeze he would find his wings bound first, bringing Icarus to the earth so as he belonged. But regardless, Vanitas would sail along. Not as if he had any choice in the matter, which he did, but the sheer speed from his Demonic propulsion kept him moving at a quick pace.
"Come on, my darling meadow lark!" the cocky dancer mocked as he slid down the ramp, "Give me a show!"

OOC Note:

Shit, looks like I have to change my direction to shoot at him.... What the- He dashed under me! I quickly turn around towards him and see... he's catapulting into the edge of the arena, but he also shot towards me a spear of ice! I quickly activate my massacre mode. NOW IS THE TIME TO END THIS!!! I dash diagonally upwards 5 meters towards where Lucas is blasting off, simultaneously closing distance and avoiding the ice spear. Looks like the bastard underestimated his own speed! I continue gliding towards this Icy knave and summon what could only be described as 2 volleys of dark wind lances. "DIE!" I yell at Lucas, firing the 1st volley of lances and then firing the second .75 seconds later towards him. The diameter of this is 35 meters, so each will certainly be able to hit him unless he does something to intercept both volleys. Then he will also have to contend with the lava, and it may hurt him much. I take off my helmet, and let this knave gaze upon my true face, a face of horror.

Ah shit, forgot to calc damage and debuff chance.

Here be damage calc and the chance to lower enemy speed by 30%

101 PMstr +T4= 101+150%=252.5 +Wind boost and amp=252.5 +75%= 441 damage of the Wind Element towards Lucas Twice.

Now for the chance of luck reduction

Type of Damage: Wind [Self Explanatory]

This is a Tier 4 Wind AOE attack with a 20% chance to debuff the enemy's luck by 30%, for all the four corners of the world are not safe from the winds of conquest.

OOC:

Such awe! What a beautiful duet! The clashing of two very capable men in spirit and body, a magnificent display! Dance with me, golden lark! Tango with-

*FWIIIIIIIISSSSSSHHHH!*

...

...well now, isn't this quite the predicament?

Before Vanitas could react he found himself rocketing into the scorching magma just at the base of the platform. Such haste and speed was powerful enough to dig him in deep, and barreling downward at an angle as he did drive him past his waist into the searing molten rock instead of sliding along the top. Pity that. He had hoped for enough time to sculpt a magnificent sculpture to prevent this sort of tragedy... but it can't be helped. Monologues tended to do that, distract you from the unknown danger as you taunted the known one. Oh well, if he had to do it all over again he wouldn't have changed things in the slightest. Well, except for maybe generating a frigid ramp to prevent this sort of thing, but not the monologue. No use crying over spilled milk, on with the show! No pain, naught to gain as they say! Yet there was always a silver lining to be had, even when faced with the cruelty of hubris. The density of the lava had slowed Lucas to a standstill after a little bit of travel, merely sinking him to a little above his navel rather than taking an unhealthy dip in flaming agony. Throwing that spear of ice had left his arms completely free, quite another boon! No such thing as impossible, merely a greater challenge to conquer!

...as flippantly as Lucas was treating the situation the truth of the matter was he was in very real danger. His sculpted, icy body risked vanishing under the intensity of the heat. Despite all this, the dancer couldn't feel a thing. An uncomfortable chill, even for his snowy form, graced his skin as he could feel his cold flesh begin to melt away. Should he be a mere man he assumed that this is the part where his nerve endings would be incinerated into uselessness, but the Prancing Lad just felt... colder. And lighter. Not the best of signs, no. The hot, thick liquid began to steal his cold from him, making his immediate moves all the more important. But a dancer was always quick on his feet. Metaphorically, of course, even if his body was slowed his reflexes were still as sharp as a finely-honed blade. Stunned slightly, but still aware and in control, crackles and hissing could be heard as thick fog began to roll off his skin and gently, patiently, his already frozen shape began to freeze once more in a layer of white.

Lucas's subconscious mind was a bit more alert and forward thinking, and as soon as he was even able to comprehend reacting Queen Beira appeared above him in an elegant and alluring pose, a sexy smirk upon her full lips as she held a single finger out. And upon her appearance did it began to snow, soft flakes drifting from above the arena. Her cold, comfortable embrace would come to his rescue, preventing him from being damaged by her harsher, more piercing methods. Just then the two would be rocked by fierce hurricane gusts, such force to destroy the two instantly! That would be, if not for the Winter Queen's prescience and wise actions. The stalwart noble moved not during the windy assault, not did Vanitas with half his body submerged within a hot cocoon of death. Silver linings abound! As the two were rocked by strong blusters Lucas would feel his mind turn sluggish with subtle indecisions as chaos entered his thoughts. He began to think of how exciting all this was, very worth the struggle! Raw power and emotion, enough to bring a tear to the eye! As he lay dying in that fiery aby- oh, right. Queen Beira reacted after the dual strike, thrusting her palm down quickly and unleashing her own chilling blast toward Vanitas. The sub-zero chill gave him the extra "oomph" needed to freeze his form completely and prevent him from fading away into nothingness within his smoldering prison. The lava around him began to bubble and spit as it hardened and solidified gradually, penetrating deep below the surface with time.

"That's it, my eager sparrow! Leave me no quarter! Shower me in your soul ah ha ha! ~<3" the blue devil urged with a giggle as a frosty chill whipped around himself. Quite the opportunist, wasn't he? Well met, golden lark. Well met indeed... Lucas crossed his arms over his well-cut chest, closing his eyes as he began to edge closer to the brink.
"Your power... incredible..." With that final remark, the dancer of the ice froze completely, leaving a mere ice sculpture of himself wading in the lake of fire.

Back on the platform, the magnificent statue Lucas had crafted at the beginning of their ballet opened his eyes, the white frost beginning to coat his skin as deathly fog rolled from his body in the blistering heat. He peered upward at his soaring opponent with a slight smirk on his lips.

That's right, darling. So strong you are. But however strong you may be, I am that much more clever. Quite the ruse if I say so myself, ho ho! We will witness what will draw gasps of pleasure from the crowd in this dance: unmatched strength and form or graceful, cunning elega-

Wait... what's wrong with your face?! Is that a nose!? Noses don't look like that and they CERTAINLY don't jut out of the side of your head! Disgusting! Vile creature! Such a horrid abomination is not long in the presence of my flawless visage!

Vanitas's curling cheschire grin twisted into a determined scowl as he prepared for his next hidden strike. Such a... a thing could not be allowed to exist!

Trial by Fire [Daichi Vs. Death Empty
PostSubject: Re: Trial by Fire [Daichi Vs. Death   Trial by Fire [Daichi Vs. Death EmptyThu Feb 09, 2017 9:46 pm

Hah! The fool doesn't even notice my attack.... what? Did he just..... NULLIFY IT!? Damn, I need to keep on with the winds while I have advantage. Speaking of winds, I need to keep up my speed. Can't let him get out, and I think I also managed to slow him down some, so that helps. What is he doing by solidifying the lava? Trying to escape now are we? Well he is submerged, so it won't do him any good..... unless he has another plan in place. That, would be bad. Huh? He... turned into a statue? He's definently not trying to escape, and I would think he would try to avoid his death if at all possible, or based on his flamboyance, acknowledge my strength in his defeat. Yet, he said nothing of defeat. What is he planning? Wait a fucking minute. There is a statue in the lava. He created a statue before.... don't tell me he did some swapping bullshit. I quickly flap 180 degrees and lo and behold. The statue has it's eyes open and is scowling at me. Heh, so he had this as a last resort, huh? A statue swap? It won't do him any good. I use the shadows to hurl me diagonally downwards towards Lucas 5 meters, leaving about 3 and a half meters left in distance, about 11 feet to be able to make a reaction. PERFECT. He was never this close to me, and now he is dead. I drop my SMG to the floor before the shadow accel, knowing it's not needful anymore. Then, using the momentum from it, I glide toward Lucas, cruelly smiling, and cross my arms, preparing to slice him to ribbons. Each slice from each arm will go from the cross position to fully stretched out, making sure he can't dodge to either side. And if he decides to take it head on, it will be an ice-man vs a somewhat slower than bullet speed armoured flying corpse-man. So he can either die, or get fucking wrecked. "It's Finished!"

Yes, of course. Just as anticipated. You never let me down, do you songbird?

Lucas had been prepared for the charge, anticipating a savage assault from the hideous beast. For their entire ballet he had attempted to close the distance yet Lucas would prance away much like the Sugarplum Princess to his Nutcracker. This time would be no different. Regretfully, the ice dancer would have no time for a witty retort or degrading taunt toward his opponent. Time was of the essence. From his position in the air would the armored behemoth come down on him yet Lucas would not be where the abomination anticipated him to. In a flash his ice skates melted away, leaving the pretty boy to dash backward 2 meters with his bare feet on the scorching rock. The sacrifices we make... although, it was much more bearable given his frozen form. He wouldn't make that mistake again, no sir! One dip into the lake of fire was quite enough for one dance! He left tender snowflakes in his wake, trailing in the air as the clumsy bird smacked down to earth, bouncing and tumbling a bit from his airborne dive.

Queen Beira appeared before him in an instant, hovering over the metal menace and throwing forth an icy blast of chill from her palm downward onto him. Such cold should be enough to subdue even the most unruly of ne'er-do-wells, yet Lucas wasn't quite finished. He claimed it to be foolish to underestimate one's opponent and the magnanimous man was no hypocrite. He needed to be absolutely certain that such a monstrous visage could no longer grace his flawless presence. He had resolved himself to destroy such pock marks upon the world and despite his enjoyment, destroy it he would. It was too much a blight to continue living.

As his splendorous Queen would begin her assault so would Lucas begin his own icy attack. Puffing out his cheeks, he would blow a gust of sub-zero chill outward to engulf the grounded avian in a cornucopia of cold. If his opponent were to take him seriously, so should Lucas take seriously his opponent. Anything less was insulting to his vast skills and abilities.

But the heat had gotten to him. Panting hard, the sculpted young man would brush his glorious hair from his eyes.
"Phew! Such heat in this arena! I'm... *haaah* ...I'm glad we could settle this like men. You've been such a worthy opponent!" And, just as he said he wouldn't do, Lucas dropped his guard around his opponent. After all, if he wasn't dead, he was frozen solid. Right? No, of course he was right, the dancer was never wrong!
