After Coffee Snacks (Gabe)

The red hooded girl would step outside of the café and take a deep breath in of the fresh morning air, the day had started off much better than she expected and now she even had something else to do with her day instead of just head home and listen to music. She'd turn round and smile to Gabriel once he had followed her outside. "It's such a gorgeous day." The girl would say cheerfully, taking in the sights and sounds around her. Usually she wasn't a big fan of being in the more denser parts of the city. She liked the openness of Sunlake Palms and East Eden, yet today the sun just seemed to make everything shine. "So, come on then, spill the beans! Where we going to get breakfast?"

The day is nice, yes..." Enzo would say as he walked besides her with his hands in his pockets. He grew quite find of the younger ones, they always seemed like a bunch of little siblings to them. It was either that, or they could become quite troublesome. Nevertheless, children will be children, no?" We are going to go to a place that sells crepes. Have you ever had a crepe before?" Gabe would say as he continued to lead the way and take Red over to the breakfast place that he liked going to. "You know, today is a nice day to sit outside, no? You don't mind do you?" After a while, they got to a place called La Fontane, it really seemed like a nice small place, a few couples were there as well. As soon as Gabe pulled open a seat, he motioned for Red to sit.

After you. Afterwards, Gabe would take a seat as well.

"Pfft, of course I have! What do you take me for? I'm not some locked in girl who's never done anything or tried anything ya know. Just cause I prefeeerrrr to stay at home doesn't mean I don't go out and stuff!" Red would say teasingly, giving Gabriel a gentle push on the shoulder. "I know I'm bad but you make me sound way worse than it actually is! You hardly even know me yet mister." She'd continue, giggling afterwards as Gabriel led the pair to La Fontane. The red hooded girl would nod in approval. "Yup, seems like a waste not to sit outside." With that she'd take her seat that Gabriel had pulled out for her. "Thank you." Now then! Time to just wait for someone to come take their order!

That is entirely true…” Gabe would say as he adjusted the cutlery on his side of the table. “Well then, let us use this time to further the bonds of our new acquaintance, and get to know each other a little bit better. “ The waitress then arrived at the table and handed out the menu’s “Hello, welcome to our shop. Can I interest you in anything?” The waitress then noticed Gabriel and nodded at him. Mr. Gatsby, the usual?” Gabe smiled as he handed her back the menu without even looking at it. “Of course…”

As for Red, it was her turn to order something. “And what might you be having? Would you like some time to take a look at our menu miss?”

"Hm? Get to know each other better?" Red would begin to ask before the waitress came over and handed her a menu. "Thank you." She'd say simply as she began to read through what was on the menu, honestly now that she thought about it, she wasn't actually all that hungry. She usually wasn't in the mornings, she wasn't one to really need much food to keep herself going. The red hooded girl would nod when asked if she needed some time to look over the menu. "Yeah, I'll take a quick look over the menu... Hmm... So, what's this 'usual' you're getting then? Seems they know you around here." Red would question curiously, honestly at a loss of what she actually wanted to order herself.

"Oh, that must of seem weird to you. I apologize. For times like this, when i come in the mornings, i always order a caramel Fuji apple crepe. For the side, i have a seasons greetings ginger tea with four lumps of sugar, and a really small bowl of chocolate covered strawberries. " Upon hearing for himself how extensive his taste must seem Gabe started to laugh. "Not like i'm high maintenance or anything, coming in the mornings does have it's benefits. But if you would like to order the same feel free, i can vouch for my meals

"Hehe, wow. I don't think I could fit that all in my stomach this early in the morning!" The girl would reply teasingly, she had never been one to eat a lot. Maybe there was something small and sweet she could order off of the menu? Just something to nibble on whilst they talked. "I'm sure it's amazing, I wont argue with you there. Yet I think I'm gonna just grab something small, maybe a muffin or something. Do they have muffins here?" She'd ask, scanning her way through the menu to see if she could spot any sign of just being able to buy a simple muffin. "I'll probably get some lemonade as well." She'd add as she spotted that on the menu before finding the muffins.

"We have an assortment of muffins on sale today. You can get 3 different flavors of miniature muffins for the price of just one normal one. Would you like to try that? Also, the lemonade is fresh and comes in a variety of flavors as well. Traditional, strawberry, raspberry, passion fruit, blueberry, and limenade." The options weighed, leaving Red to choose. "Don't worry about it, I don't mind sharing a few of my things with you as well if you would like to try it. Just imagine this as any other brunch you experienced in the past, haha. "Red could basically pick any muffin she wanted.

Wow, this place had way more options than the girl had first imagined, she was surprised a place like this had so much to choose from and she had never heard about it before. "Hmm, in that case, sure why not! I'll have a chocolate chip muffin, blue berry muffin aaannndd... Hmm... You wouldn't happen to have white chocolate chip too would you? If not just two normal chocolate ones would be great!" The girl would say with a smile and a nod. "As for the lemonade, traditional is fine thank you." After ordering, Red would turn back to face Gabriel. "Oh don't feel like you have to share with me, it's fine, really. You're too kind to someone you've barely met, hehe." The red hooded girl would add with a nervous giggle, she'd practically forgotten herself she'd only just met Gabriel, he just seemed like someone who was really easy to get along with which she didn't find often.

"Right away miss!!" The woman gave a respectful bow to the two and went off into the other area in order to gather the order. "See, told you they have a lot of selections to choose from. " Gabe would say in passing as he looked over to a man that was playing with his dog in the distance. "Have you ever thought of our purpose in life? Why we are here? Or what we were ever meant to do on this planet? " Gabe would let the question linger as he continued his people watching." I think that in all of our paths, we should lend a hand to those who are also finding an answer for themselves.

"They really do have quite a lot." The red hooded girl would agree, it was surprising really. It must be difficult to stock that amount of different types of food. Let alone have enough of each type for everyone that's wants them. "Huh?" Red would seem confused by the suddenness of the quite heavy question. "I, uhm... Haven't really thought about it before." She'd say as a way to buy her time to think of a better answer. She'd also look over at the people Gabriel was watching as she thought of her answer. "I guess, for me, at least for right now. I'm just trying to enjoy life the best I can. What happens each day isn't up to me, but as long as I try to enjoy it. Yet for a more serious purpose. I'd like to think I'm a protector of my younger sister, I just want to make sure she's always safe and will live her own life happily in peace... What about you?"

"Ah, the guardian. A noble path to live for others, a path I will not judge. I never even knew that you even had a sibling. " Gabe would say in an interested nature. " How is it like?" Suddenly, the woman would first come back with the drinks. A small coffee and a lemonade was brought to the table. She then bowed and went away. Gabe reached for a small spoon and took two lump of sugar, placing it into his cup." I haven't found the answer yet. Around your age, i was really sick, haven't left outside too often until my late teen years. So, even something like this, sitting out here as you do now, is a privilege ii haven't been able to experience for most of my life."

"Heh. Guess that's what you could call me yeah. I just want to make sure she's safe. I want to ensure I'm always there to protect her... Because..." Red's speech would trail off as she began to think about the reasons she wanted to protect Raine. She'd sigh lightly, she missed Rose so much over this past year... She still didn't want to believe she was really gone... There's no chance she'd let anything like that happen again, she'd be strong enough to watch over Raine, she had to be. The red hooded girl would suddenly jump back from thought as her drink was placed in front of her, she'd quickly wipes away the tears that had formed in her eyes embarrassingly. "Heh..." The girl would take a quick sip of her drink before continuing to talk. "Sorry, got lost in thought." She'd say in an attempt to avoid the question, she didn't feel up for talking about her sister right now with how emotional she'd already got about the topic.

Taking another sip of her drink, the girl would pull a look of concern for Gabriel. "Wow, that sounds like that would really suck... I'm sorry that happened to you. At least you're better now, right? I'm glad it wasn't anything permanently affecting you."

Gabe would watch, but he wouldn't interrupt her train of thought or anything. "That's fine Red, at best, you could call me quite the relevant observer. I don't necessarily talk while someone is pondering things, or say anything unnecessary. It keeps the conversation fresh and invigorating. " In terms of how Gabe felt, he didn't really have a clear answer. " I never really understood what was wrong to begin with, but i'm fine now. Like you said a few seconds ago, it's the only thing that matters. But now that I think about it....." Gabe would say as his voice trailed off. " If you were like me, and had a condition that forced you to be a shut in for most of your teen years.... how do you think you would have turned out?

"Hmm..." Red would smile lightly as Gabriel explained how he tended to talk in conversations, he was a very interesting person that was for sure, quite different from anyone else she had talked to before... Although she was mostly glad that he didn't push her to say more about what she was thinking about. "Again, I'm glad that whatever was wrong is better now." The red hooded girl would repeat with a slight nod of her head. "If I had to be shut in...?" Hmm, she'd ponder on the question for a while. Honestly that wasn't much different from how she was when she was younger. Not because she was forced to, she just preferred to stay in the comfort of her own home where no strangers would interact with her and she could just practice with her music. "I dunno really... It's hard to imagine exactly how it would affect me. I guess I'd be even more socially awkward than I already am?" She'd say with a light giggle before adding. "And probably would have had more time to work on my music stuff."
