Victory over the Jester granted them passage. They had followed the parchment, and thus a doorway appeared before the team that wished to locate Julius and the source of this dilemma. Needless to say this door was much different than the last. Its influence was strong, and it forcefully sucked the team through its frame and into the heart of the Dragon's Maw where they'd find what they had been searching for.
Flashes of Green and Blue appeared before them, nearly faster than the eye could see. The vibrant colors moved swiftly across the large room that seemed to be that of a bridge leading into the Hot Springs area. It was a rather large bridge that seemed to stretch on for a mile. On either side all one could see was water, as a river ran beneath it that held a large population of fishes. Needless to say, the Dragon's Maw was a supernatural area. Looking at the large building from the outside, there was no way something of this magnitude could possibly exist within it unless something of the supernatural sort was in order. However, that meant nothing as the green and blue blur finally met in the center of the bridge and caused a shockwave to shake the room.
With the blurs finally at a stand still and staring off at one another, blade to blade, one could see it was the Prince himself and the other, the assailant. The two exchanged short words before pushing off one another. Julius flew back, landing just a few meters before the cadets, while his attacker landed on the opposite side of the bridge. They were not alone on their side, as a young woman, bound by her wrists, was tied against the railings of the bridge. It was none other than a worker there, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Julius continued to mind her... He seemed to be lacking in strength, or perhaps holding back in hopes that she remained safe. However, when he had taken note of the cadets entry into the area, his eyes flashed to theirs and then back to Sera.
"I don't believe I gave any order for you to get involved here... Tsukuyomi should have kept you all clear from this place, but it seems you were able to get pass my barrier. I can guess how.." The Prince spoke with his usual calm tone as he raised his glasses upon the rim of his nose. "I won't turn you all away if you're offering your assistance. I surely can't do much when this young man holds a hostage. There is something strange about him. That isn't the Sera I met before." He would state in a quizzical tone. Eyes focused upon the young child and all that were met was the eyes of a deranged human being.
"The Prince and the Paupers! The Prince and the Peepers! Haha.. HAH.. HAH.. HAH." The laughs that seemed genuine turned into that of mocking gasps of air. Sera (?) stabbed his sword into the bridge and began to mockingly clap his hands before giving a Cadet salute. "Julius, Julius! You're a Prince beneath a Queen who stole the title from someone else. Though, the Lamecia are just a family of thieves aren't they? I'm the jester but your line is the biggest joke of all. I'd think it was crazy if I weren't so insane! HAHAHA!" Sera (?) laughed and laughed.. and laughed some more. The laughter would ring throughout the room, bouncing off the walls for all to hear the maniacal malice hidden beneath it.
Julius watched the laughing child.. His look was that of indifference.. atleast it was.. right?
"Here is your mission:" The man clad in blue spoke with a calm tone as he raised his blade towards Sera. "Secure that woman while I take care of this Terrorist. Be sure to get her to safety." Such simple instructions. Sera (?) gave a deranged smile as lips stretched to ear lobes. His blade was taken back in hand and he shot towards Julius using shadow accel to guide his motion. The Prince braced himself and raised his blade. Taking the blow full force, he'd hold of the brunt of the attack and deflect it off to the side. This gave the cadets ample time to rush by them and make it to the bound woman.

At first Maria was beginning to think that maybe she had chosen the wrong door. That despite all their luck, this was going to be the moment when they all screwed up. But when her vision adjusted, she grew ever more resolute. There they were, both Seras and Julius. It looked like an even battle, but the older man was obviously taxed, possibly from fighting off hordes of the infected just as Alex had done.
"Apologies, sir," Maria provided acknowledgement that they went against his wishes to stay away from here.
But it had to be taken into consideration that there was someone else there... a hostage. Her eyes narrowed at this inconvenient factor. As Cadets... no, as Maria, she joined the fold in order to protect those who can't fend for themselves. Deep inside, there was a kind of terror, to have that responsibility for a life. But that was hidden under her stony expression. The postulant only gave an "On it!" to the Prince.
"Everyone, stay back! I'll get the hostage! Cover me! Stay away from the battle!"
Maria remembered like last time how she and the other Cadets blundered when pursuing Alice. And also how Serenity was unsure about all these uncertainties and the huge chance of a trap happening. But even despite them, she wasn't going to abandon a civilian. Even that unnerving smile from Sera gave rise to some instincts telling her to make that call. Those five years of forcibly molding herself to fight weren't going to be a waste. It just can't.
And as much as she wanted to address Sera, Julius' and the civilian's safety was far more important. There was something strange about the way Sera was talking. But she trusted that Julius can handle him and maybe they can deal with the insane boy later.
The Cadet began to dash over towards the hostage with her Demon Weapon in tow, Shadow Acceling along the way. But she was being especially cautious about the possibility of a rigged set up. So she was ready to move out of the way if something happened, keeping at a respectful distance in case anything happened before trying to advance near the target the whole way without Acceling. It would be at a distance that she can close quickly, but also to her a reliable distance to retreat if need be.
And if she was able to reach the hostage, Maria would inquire of her, "Ma'am, are you alright?"
Accordingly, if she was close enough to examine anything around the hostage, she would do it as she was equally ready to react.
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Experimental Body —Description: After a couple of years of forcing experiments on her own body, she’s capable of near superhuman feats. Her ability to perceive through her five senses and her motor functions were most notably enhanced along with the basic physical functions of speed, strength, endurance, and reflexes. This is something that is most required in order to handle a special weapon like Andraste, her Demon Weapon, which was extremely cumbersome by human standards to begin with.
—Strength Name: Combat Ready —Description: To go along with her physical enhancements, she has already been given some basic combat training which makes her ready to serve under the Queen. Her training was personalized to better make use of her enhancements. It focused on improving her intuition for danger and favorable situations. And as well as her ability to better predict her enemy’s movements despite any interference to her five senses. One could say she also practiced Chinese methods of jing ting, sensing forces, for this purpose which improved her marksmanship and precision in a way it increases the success of her anticipation of enemies.
Action:
Going ahead to hostage. Rest of party should stay behind me far enough to cover me and to stay safe. Maria will take the risk here. No need for a repeat of the Alice dungeon, lol.

As the group stepped through the final door and found themselves at their intended destination, Cecilia's cockiness became palpable. Plastered across her face was a smugly satisfied grin, the sort of toothy, celebratory smile that one would expect to see worn by a lion after a successful hunt. That expression said more than any verbal exclamation could: to her, the mission was as good as done by this point. But the joyful look that overtook her would fade quickly once she surveyed the scene, and the confident Cadet would find that the scenario wasn't playing out the same way it had in her head. Instead of finding herself greeted by a detained suspect and an almost completely unscathed Julius, her eyes would bear witness to a flurry of colorful blurs crashing off and against each other, an ongoing, intense battle which seemed to actually be proving somewhat of a challenge for the goddess's son. Worse than that, this Sera had more than weapons and supernatural abilities at his disposal... This wasn't just a battle, it was a hostage crisis.
A twisted smirk stretched unnaturally across the assailant's face and he seemed to take note of their arrival, stopping to mock the holy family, his blasphemy met with thunderous laughter from him and him alone. As she gazed upon his face, Cecilia felt a shiver run down her spine, though outwardly she showed no signs of fear or unease, save the yellow glow that instinctually covered her eyes in response to the threat before her. This "jester" reminded her more of a demon than a terrorist; his jeering cackle alone was enough to conjure up memories of the howls and roars of the monsters who ruled the city in the early years following the Divide.
"Damn heretic..."
Cecilia was fully prepared to offer her assistance to the prince, but he seemed to think it'd be more useful for them to secure the girl first. It made sense; she was the terrorist's only bargaining chip and beyond that there was simply the risk of her getting caught in the crossfire of the battle. Yet the whole situation was a bit odd; despite going through the trouble of restraining her, Sera didn't seem interested in keeping them from getting to her, nor did he have anyone else watching over her for him. It was almost like he wanted them to try and rescue her. Regardless, there was no time to dwell on the issue. They had to act and they needed to do it now.
Maria didn't elect to spring into action as a group though. She ordered them to stay back and let her retrieve the worker, causing Cecilia to stop for a moment, but the hesitance that had begun to take form within her was burnt away in a mere few seconds. It didn't matter what the nun's reasoning for it was, she couldn't just sit there and do nothing, not while people's lives were on the line. If something went wrong, if she simply did as asked and ended up letting something happen to them...
The same darkness that enveloped Maria washed over Cecilia and she launched forward after her ally. With a determined glare, she kept her eyes affixed to her target, speeding ahead toward the inn-worker with her mind focused solely on doing what she could to keep her safe.

Even though she managed not to show Athena was surprised they had managed to locate the prince this fast, after her last failed mission to arrest Alice she was lead to believe that all the future missions would be equally tricky, then again not all terrorists were like Alice. Prince Jucius was fighting Sera though judging by their lack of wounds the model assumed they have began just recently or perhaps the prince was holding back because of the hostage. Even before Julius ordered them to rescue the woman Athena had already spend a good time studying her, though it was clear that pity wasn't exactly the emotion she was feeling about her.
"Pathetic...absolutely disgusting."
Her words were quiet and full of spite, still someone would have to either be close and pay attention to her to hear them. Though a single glance at her eyes could reveal the girl's antipathy towards the victim. She had to be important for the prince to desire her rescue that much, Athena knew that if that girl was someone the prince had no strong feelings for or bonds of obligation he wouldn't hesitate risking her life to put down the terrorist. Her aversion however wasn't because of the anger towards the system which created that kind of behavior but out of envy, if only Athena could become as influential as that bitch all her problems would be solved. In spite all that she still had her role to play and couldn't afford to slip in frond of the royals, they were after all the most important people in Endymion.
"Your royal majesty, please we implore you let us aid in battle as well. With our forces combined we can arrest this terrorist and put an end to this madness." Athena tried to be as polite as possible, she wouldn't feel anything if the prince were to die, the Queen already had a replacement for him, but if he died on her watch then she could wave her promotion goodbye. "We may not be as experienced as you but we can support your effort nevertheless." Before that moment Athena didn't realize how hard it was to be polite during life threatening circumstances.

She was happy. So happy that the Prince and the city's Cadets were trying to hard to save her life from this madman. Rika had never thought someone would go as far as to save her. She smiled, pulling at the reigns that held her. Wanting to be free.. Struggling and struggling. A silent voice rang in her head... Her smile grew more..
And more...
..More..
..More.
The grin was freakishly long, and her skin had turned a deathly pale. By the time the cadets would have noticed this, the ground beneath them would have suddenly erupted. The sudden force would send Maria and Cecilia flying back forcefully from the woman. It was like a plant that wrapped around her body. Vines dug into her skin, as if feeding on the deranged woman who smiled and laughed. This plant was no more than a demon, and potentially one of the causes for the Dragon's Maw to be in this state. If the Cadets planned on saving the woman, they'd have to rid her of the demon possessing her being.
Julius remained locked in combat with the laughing Sera. Forcing the child back, he looked over his shoulder at the situation and sucked his teeth. "I can handle Sera alone. Save that woman! I've seen this before: That demon will continue to feed on your body until there is nothing left. Destroy it or her life will be loss!" The Prince gave his final words before focusing back upon his own opponent.
You've been ambushed!! .. Initiating PvSB Combat Phase.. Bring 'em to Justice!
"Come, Children. Come live life fully. Take a bite of my delectable fruit of chaos and bore new desires!"
OoC:
Rika must be saved, or you will get the worst conclusion. As a Mindless Jest she will be hostile. She is possessed by a powerful Demon that must be destroyed so she may regain control of her senses. This is a PvSB battle. Multiple parts of the boss may be individually attacked. Beware, as they could have separate strengths and weaknesses. It is possible to heal Rika, however; AoE attacks will hit her aswell. AoE healing skills will hit her and the boss if she is targeted. During the battle there will be multiple hazards that may appear and change the state of battle, thanks to Julius and Sera's own battle occurring in the background. Be sure to think your moves out carefully.

Though the other cadets exposed a great hatred for the terrorist, Nebula couldn't bring herself to truly hate him, only recognize him as her target. While her companions had signed on for reasons of fidelity to the queen and royalty, or to Endymion City itself, Nebula had become a cadet for her own ulterior purposes, and as such blaming anyone, friend or foe, for doing what they thought to be in their own best interests would be hypocritical. However, the behaviour that Sera was showing... Nebula knew it all too well. That was the face and speech of somebody who had relinquished control of their own mind and succumbed to insanity. The facial expressions, the insessant laughter, fluctuation between emotions and instability in his voice... it all reminded her too much of her father's final days. This man was just as out of his mind as he was.
"..."
As Sera's banter continued, while her recently-acquainted peers judged him and denoted him as less than scum in their minds and words... Nebula silently pitied him and gave him sympathy. Just because she couldn't bring herself to hate him, though didn't mean she couldn't do her job as a Cadet, especially when a bizarre demon took over the hostage present in the situation.
Skill 1: Growth | If supporting a team, each use and demon/shadow defeated counts towards your rank ups as well. | Passive Skill 2: Redirection | To be used on an ally. Will direct all enemy attacks towards this ally for a single turn (excluding AoE - Boss may be immune and PvS only). 3 post cool down | 25 SP Skill 3: Healing Wave | All team members [no matter location] will recover 15% of their HP every three turns during battle/dungeon crawling and 15% health once the battle ends. | Passive Skill 4: Full Analysis | Used to detect an enemy's stats, weak points, and any attacks or skills it may use | 23 SP
Soul Skill Name: Death Repellant Persona Name: Fafnir Tier: Tier 1 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: Passive Description: Nebula's strange, slightly unwanted aversion to death makes instant-kill attacks 10% less likely to land on her (Cannot turn the chances any lower than the base 10%).
Weaknesses/Strengths:
—Strength Name: Survivor —Description: Despite the flimsy paper-thin composition of her body and mind, Nebula's soul has the trait of becoming resilient when her truest desire is to survive what's to come. When Nebula guards, the damage she recieves is reduced by 75% as opposed to the regular guarding reduction of 50%.
—Strength Name: Hopeful —Description: The traits of Nebula's soul reflect her undying wish that someday, sometime, everything in her life will take a turn for the better; an ideal of hope that she always keeps an open spot in her heart for. Nebula can be healed up to a 115% of her Max HP, though only during battle, and the extra HP dissipates after said battle ends.
—Strength Name: Bound To Life —Description: There is something that Nebula can't quite explain about herself... but, no matter how much she may or may not long for it, death seems to skirt around her most of the time. All attacks that Nebula recieves have 10% less chance of being a critical hit (After luck buffs/debuffs) (Cannot remove the base 10% chance of critical hit).
—Weakness Name: Peccatophobic —Description: Though Nebula is capable of damaging, ailing and doing combat with enemies in any other manner of ways, she is fatally afraid of killing. Nebula alone cannot bring enemies any lower than 1 HP.
—Weakness Name: Pushover —Description: Nebula's fragile mind has quite a few effects on her behaviour; one of the most important being that she cannot in good conscience hit anyone too hard with any physical object, as it brings up bad memories. Nebula is incapable of landing critical hits with her soulbound.
—Weakness Name: Coward —Description: Despite her cold, distant resting face and deep voice, Nebula would probably run away in fear if you pit her against a common street dog. While inflicted with the "Fear" ailment, Nebula is incapable of doing anything except guarding.
Arsenal:
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name: Karma Weapon Description: Karma takes the form of a two meter long Executioner's Axe, its edge dirtied by the dry, crusty blood of an unkown source. The hilt is made of dark, oaken wood, and the edge is made of pure, stainless platinum-white steel that contrasts with the grim darkness of the blood that decorates it.
Weapon Attack Type: Slash Weapon Element: N/A

Side-Arm Name: Punishment Side-Arm Description: Punishment appears to be a sawed-off shotgun of a shade of black so intense that the only thing about it that can be distinguished with the naked eye is its silhouette. The details, borders, and depths are indistinguishible due to the absolute black that the shotgun consists of. Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: Shotgun - Scatter Shot - Accuracy is decreased by 30%. Consumes 3 types of ammo at once to fire -must be same type of ammo. Maria was thrown back. She had known it would've been too easy if they could just secure that woman right then and there. But the situation turned for the worst, it looked like a demonic possession in the Church's doctrines. This was certainly the worst case scenario, given Julius' situation at this time. But this was a better time for a test of their mettle than any. They are Cadets and they are going to win. They have to.
