After a long bit of working at her booth, Danielle found herself in need of a break from all the mental stress that this kissing buissness caused. Normally, it wouldn't have been an issue, but... after Kira's little visit, she couldn't help but feel a sting of guilt whenever someone else walked by for a smooch. Most of the guys she had chased away, since she didn't exactly swing that way, but the rest she had welcomed, if a bit reluctantly.

Right now, she was taking a small rest outside the main fesival grounds on a white blanket that she had rolled out over the tall grass. It made for a nice place to rest up, as it was relatively quiet around here... and it reminded her of the fields back in Eirini... would she ever come back there? Maybe not, so she would take whatever opportunity presented to her that could make her feel somewhat at home again. Azores had left the wild card weary... Those who knew Danielle would know exactly where to find her, as she usually did this kind of trip back home whenever she found herself troubled, or in need of some peace.

Where in the world did that girl went? Kira had been looking for her all around the festival for quite some time without any success. Geez, she just had to disappear like that without telling where she went... After looking all around the festival there was only one place the purple haired girl could be. Eventually the delinquent had made her way to the grassy fields where Dani was, and quickly noticed the girl sitting all by herself. "Yo, Dani!" Kira yelled in an attempt to get the girl's attention before approaching her. "You know how hard it was to find you out here?" Kira Kira smiled widely at the other before she sat down besides her.

Danielle looked up when someone behind her called out her name. "Mmm...? Oh, Hey Kira." She said with a smile, making room for her friend to sit down with her. Oh, yeaaaah. They were supposed to meet eachother today! That explained what Kira was saying. "Ah, yeah... Ahaha, I just needed a little break from the festival, that's all." The girl's smile turned somewhat sheepish at the end. It had not been the only reason for her break, however. The kiss with Kira earlier had left the Wild Card very confused about her own feelings and thoughts. Kira was just a friend, right? So why had it felt so... different from anything else she had experienced before? It was all very confounding, and Kira showing up right now didn't exactly help the situation all that much. Or would it...?

After spending a good minute listening to the breeze rustling the grassy fields around them in an awkward silence, Danielle finally decided to speak up. "Uum... S-So about earlier..." Her gaze peered off into the distance. She just couldn't look at Kira right now. In fact, her head was turned away from her friend. She was still a soldier. And she didn't like to show weakness... Especially not infront of her friends.

"Well, you could have told me where i could find you." What Dani most likely meant is that she wanted time alone, but Kira couldn't help, it had been so long since the two saw each other, she was just so happy to be able to talk to Danielle again. "I missed you, dork." Kira Kira punched the other girl on the shoulder lightly while laughing.

When Danielle started to talk about the previous incident Kira's face went from normal to red in a matter of seconds "A-ah shit... Do you really want to talk about that, Dani?" The girl scratched her cheek while trying to avoid eye contact with her friend "You're my buddy, alright? I didn't thought you were actually gonna kiss me." Kira let out an awkward laugh, the girl was just really bad with this type of situation and was very oblivious to romantic situations unless it's very direct.

"Ehehe... Sorry about that." Danielle replied with an apologetic smile, feeling a bit stupid for not thinking about this. Kira HAD wanted to see Danielle and all that once she was done at her booth. This was the Kira she remembered. Didn't care much for customs or anything. Straight to the point, even if a little blunt at times. But that was okay. Being a down-to-earth gal and all that was generally a very good quality. "Hehe, I've missed you too." A wide grin stretched across the girl's lips as her friend sat down next to her. The only sad thing was that once the festival was over, the two would need to split up once again... As much as she wanted to stay close to her friends, she couldn't just abandon the other worlds. It just felt wrong. Especially with Kalyan somehow being involved...

"W-Well..." Danielle's face mirrored Kira's to a tee in terms of color. Good thing the two were alone. "I... I guess I just wanted to say..." Oh, this was really, really hard to admit... But Kira was a good friend, and she'd probably understand. "That kiss... made me really happy. I thought you were actually gonna hit me there for a second... ahaha." Danielle whispered, looking this time at Kira. "I-I dunno why I kissed you, K-Kira. I honestly couldn't tell you... You're a really precious friend of mine, and whenever I have any trouble fighting back, I always think of you first." Her expression would take on a mix between embarrassment and frustration. "Gah! It just left me so confused! My feelings are going haywire and nothing's making sense! I don't want to lose you as a friend, but... that moment just... felt magical to me... It's... hard to explain, but it just felt right...."

"Punch you? What the hell, Dani? I'd never hurt you for that..." Kira was very shocked that Danielle thought she'd respond the kiss with violence. "...Am i that violent? You don't have to lie, alright?" She tilted her head, a bit anxious to hear what the girl had to say, what Dani thought of her was really important. "Huh? Really? Whenever i'm about to get into trouble i consider what you would think... I guess i'm kinda like you in that aspect." What Dani just had said made Kira feel good, it was good to know that someone was fighting for her. "I guess that means we're really good friends? I won't lie... it felt good, maybe because it was my first kiss... I'm not sure what to think either." She let out a sigh while she scratched her head.

"...Maybe? I mean, I did just kind of force it onto you, haha." Danielle replied with a light grin. "And well... You can be quite forceful when pushed... I wasn't sure if you were going to accept the kiss or not... But..." Her voice was almost inaudible. "I'm glad you did..." What Kira said next made the Wild Card feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Really good friends huh? Yeah, that was a good way of putting it. The two had been through some tough times, for sure. And friendships were quickly forged in stressful situations where the two parts worked together for a common cause. She'd look at Kira with a slightly guilty, and saddened look as she spoke. "I'm sorry it had to be me, haha. You could've probably gotten a better one than me, if you really tried." she bit herself on the lip afterwards, being really bad at disguising the discomfort that the idea of Kira being together with someone else caused. She may not have realised it herself even, just how much it would've hurt... Maybe it was just caused by what had just happened between the two though. She was still on a little rush after that wonderful moment.

"Hmpf, alright." The girl's answer was satisfactory, she noticed that Dani had said something else at the end but couldn't make out what it was, it probably didn't matter anyways so she didn't bother to question it. "Don't be sorry, Dani. If someone was going to be my first, i'm glad it was you. I trust you and you're cute, heheh." Kira had finally overcome the embarrassment and was able to talk about it with Dani... as long the two were alone that is. "So... Have you done it before? Before the booth that is."

Danielle blushed vividly in response to Kira's words, with a sheepish smile playing on the girl's lips. Kira thought that she was cute. She was happy that Danielle had been her first. The incredible mix of suprise, happiness and relief was indescribable. Inching a bit closer to her friend, Danielle finally responded to her words with some of her own. "T-Thank you, Kira..." The wild card was rarely one to stutter. She was usually the more confident one in her group of friends, but when it came to stuff like this, she was probably the most vulnerable of the bunch. Looking at her now, it was difficult to believe that the purple haired girl was actually a trained soldier. "I-I think you're c-cute too..." She was of course speaking the honest truth here. Kira, while rough around the edges, was really sweet when she really wanted to, and she looked pretty cute as well. To Kira's final question, Danielle responded with shaking her head slightly, the blush still very much present. "No... You were my first..." That moment still felt like a dream to her. It was difficult to believe that it had actually happened.

She didn't want to forget...

"Eh?" Kira's expression quickly changed to one of surprised, she didn't expect a compliment, especially one about her appearance, people usually compliment Kira for her strength or something similar, not her looks. "You're too nice to me, Dani..." The girl let out an awkward laugh, she'd avoid looking Danielle in the eye, she wasn't used to people saying things like that to her. "... I'm dirty most of the time and i wouldn't take care of my appearance if Audrey didn't bothered me about it..." The delinquent brushed it off as Dani just being polite to her.

"And here i thought you had a girlfriend or something." Then again, Dani was a soldier, she probably didn't had much time for that. "I hope it was okay for you."

"Hehe, am I? Here I thought I was just being honest. Cuteness doesn't restrict itself to just how you look." Danielle replied with a nervous chuckle in response to Kira's awkward laugh. "Well... there's still some beauty there, Kira... Audrey can see that, and she's helping you as best she can. I try to look presentable, but I don't go out of my way to look pretty. I'm a soldier. We're not supposed to be pretty." She scratched her chin somewhat awkwardly whilst talking. "But in all honesty, it's not what's on the outside that's important. I know it sounds cliché, but that doesn't make it less true." She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts. Taking a deep breath, she continued on. "Kira... I-I like you because of who you are..."

"Well, no. I've been a single for my entire life... Never really had much time for those kinds of relationships when you're in the military. I DID however make a good number of friends along the way." Danielle replied with a warm smile. In response to Kira's question, the wild card chuckled lightly, brushing a strand of hair away from Kira's face.

"Kira... I wouldn't want it any other way... "

"... I missed you." Kira Kira suddenly hugged her purple haired friend tight, she didn't wanted to let Danielle go, she was so dear to Kira but then one day just disappeared without any notice, it hurt a lot, and now she was sitting besides her saying all those sweet words. "You have no idea of how worried i got... I looked for you everywhere and nothing, i was starting to think you were gone forever..." She hugged Dani even tighter while trying to not cry, since the two were opening up to each other might as well go all the way. "You are important to me... Don't ever leave me like that again, alright?"

The sudden hug from Kira came as a big suprise for Danielle. She hadn't expected something like this to happen... She would slowly wrap her arms around her friend as well, hugging her close. "I've missed you too, Kira..." She whispered into her friend's ear. "I'm sorry you had to go through all that just because of me... " Not that it had been her fault for vanishing like she did, but Danielle just couldn't help but feel guilty for all this... hearing Kira say all of this while on the verge of tears stung. Should Kira begin to shed tears, Danielle would move away a little bit from the hug, in order to wipe those tears from Kira's face. This wasn't the Kira that she was used to... the tough outlook and tomboyish attitude was as good as gone. "You're important to me too..." Danielle replied quietly, before she moved in, tenderly brushing her soft lips against Kira's right cheek, lingering for about 5 or 6 seconds before moving away with a sheepish, yet sad expression on her face. Her body had just moved on it's own. She had somewhat realized the feelings she had for her friend, which only served to make this even more painful. "I'll try not to... but I can't make any promises." It was painful to tell Kira the honest truth. With what the current matters were like in reality, along with the contract she had signed, the soldier would eventually have to vanish from Kira's life. Her facial expression looked troubled, and for good reason. After a short moment spent thinking, Danielle eventually took off the green ribbon that had been affixed to her hair, before she tied it up in Kira's. "There... now you have something to remember me by..." She would then gently press her right hand on Kira's chest, right over her heart. "I'll be with you. Always. No matter how far apart we are, I'll always stand by your side..."

Dani's answer was far from what Kira wanted to hear, it was like the girl was hiding something regarding the subject of her absence, and the delinquent knew no matter how much she asked about it, Danielle would never reveal the truth. So instead of asking questions, she decided to enjoy the time she had with her friend, remaining quiet until Danielle was done with the ribbon and her speech and then... "I love you." She grabbed Danielle by the hand and pulled her into another hug, she just needed this moment with Danielle, Kira feels like she might not have much time left with her friend... the delinquent might not be studied but she is no completely dense. "...I'm sorry, i shouldn't be saying things like that..." She said as she released Dani from her hug. "I guess i'm just afraid of losing a friend..."

Those words were some she had not expected to hear for a very long time, if at all... and from Kira, no less. Danielle had actually expected it to be herself to be the one to say those words... not the other way around. So as a result, she found herself at a loss for words... how did she even respond? Danielle could feel the blood in her veins rushing up to her cheeks, coloring them a deep crimson, as Kira hugged her again, holding the soldier's hand gently. She would of course return the hug, wrapping her arms this time around Kira's waist. "D-Do you really mean that...?" Danielle eventually responded to the declaration of love that Kira had made. Once the two moved away from the hug, The soldier replied. "K-Kira... It's fine, really. You don't have to apologize. I don't see a reason to, because..." She paused for a brief moment, taking a deep breath.

"The feeling's mutual, Kira... I love you too..."
