The Final Steps towards Peace [Jack, Charles, and Senty's crew once they're done]

It was a chill, foreboding wind that blew across the deserted streets of the Lumière District as the trio arrived. After reaching Standasen and the District, they had left the car behind in favor of walking the last little bit, as coming over there with a police car was suspicious... Mae had put on the protective vest that Jack had been so gracious to give her, but she had forgone the helmet. It was more of a distraction to her than an actual help in some cases, due to the tinted lens on it's front. Had it been under better weather conditions, then yes, she would've worn it, but considering how dark it was right now, due to it being in the middle of November and all that, it didn't seem like a very wise idea. Besides, she'd look absolutely ridiculous in that thing.

They were here for a very important reason... to take down Zachary Dunbar, and hopefully get some answers out of him on how to solve this mess. And Mae wasn't going to back out. The safety of the islands, and those living on them, were in their hands, and she remembered the promise she had made after the first event was over. That she would protect the islands. It was her duty as a Persona User. Looking away when you could do something to stop what was going on was just as bad as doing the evil deed in itself. Last time, she had... failed Jack and the other Rangers by not being there for the final confrontation, which she regretted somewhat, but the girl kept telling herself that it was perhaps for the better. She had Rin to look after, all things considered, and Mae just didn't have it in her to leave her friend in such a sad state just to fight alongside her other allies... But this time, it would be different. No longer would she hold her friends back. No longer would she have to fall by the wayside, wanting to fight, but unable to...

Charles tried, for Jack's sake, to wear the whole thing. But no, it was kind of silly. Even more so as he didn't actually need it. He was a robot, a bullet or two weren't gonna kill him anyways, and like, he had his own comm actually inside of his own head, meaning the ones in the helmets were pretty much without a use to him. On the other hand, Mae was wearing her own costume... He couldn't really not wear it at all, even if it was impractical at best.

Anyways, he took off the helmet and walked over to stand next to Mae. She seemed tense the whole time, ever since they'd started even thinking about this. He had to be there as her support. He wasn't gonna let anything happen to her. Nor was Jack. The two of them would keep her safe.

Now then... "What are we supposed to do now that we're here..?"

Jack stopped in the middle of his heroic, and not totally rehearsed in the mirror this morning, monologue in the first sentence due to what he could only describe as "The greatest betrayal of all time." He would stare, mouth agape at his two rangers as they took off their suits,"Y-You guys! Do you know how much work I put into those? I stayed up all night putting the finishing touches on them... I mean sure Charles dosn't really need the armor or the com link... and sure I designed the earpiece to be detachable so technically Mae could detach the com and still stay connected with us all but... but..."  Jack's helmet began to flood with manly tears as he felt his heroic heart breaking at such a grandiose wound"You guys won't look nearly as cooooooooool!"

Utterly defeated and shattered, Jack would fall to his knees and look towards the morning sky, still dark with the last dying breath's of night,"Thanks for doing your best though Charles... you're a true friend... And I think Mae agrees when I say you looked really good in that suit..."

"Oh, Jack... I'm still wearing the vest." Mae said with a slightly guilty look on her face, patting her friend on the shoulder, before her expression got a little bit more serious. "The ultimate goal of today is to take down the crime boss Zachary Dunbar, and put him behind bars. Of course, not before we can get some information from him regarding how he's involved... Maybe that way, we'll find a way to stop this once and for all." Mae honestly suprised herself. In a situation like this, one would imagine that she would've been nervous, but not today. She felt very confident in what she was about to do, now that she had her best friends fighting alongside her. Was she feeling... courageous? She certainly wasn't fearless, but she had no doubts or second thoughts about where she was going, and what she was about to do. Fighting for her home, family, friends, lover and for their futures reinforced her resolve to almost unbreakable levels. Today, she was going to fight ferociously for the future that they all deserved. "Hehe, yeah. Jack's right, you look really good in that." She said with a chuckle. The Mask wasn't the best thing in the world, but hey... at least he looked good in spandex.

"W-wait what..?" Charles glanced down at his body, boggled by Jack and Mae's words. "Do I really look good wearing this?" He looked back up at Mae, grinning awkwardly as he scratched his chin. He too was still wearing the suit, just not the helmet. And so he slowly walked over to Jack kneeling on the ground and smacked him on the back, strong enough to knock his face into the hard floor, smiling. "Jack Jack Jack. We're wearing the suits. And we're only doing it for you. So don't mope around. We don't need the helmets to be cool." He said as he went over to Mae and held her by her waist. First reluctantly, but then firmly. The two standing back to back like that would definitely have Jack fawning over them even if they weren't completely suited up.

"Oh fine.... Spoil all my fun... You guys wouldn't know high fashion if it Henshined right in front of you... Bleh" Jack sighed as he pulled his face from the indent int he floor that Charles forced him to make and stood up, the tears draining out of his helmet. The Red and Black ranger took a moment to appreciate what he claimed to be his handy work as Charles took Mae by the waist. Oh they were just so cute together! "And I suppose you're right, the suits are the important part. Unhelmeted fights are just as good half the time if not better! Anyway, As much as I would love to just start knocking heads and making headway on wiping out the Dunbar Gang, we need a game plan for approching Zach. I have a few ideas but am open to suggestions, what do you guys think?"

"You're the cuter one, dear." Mae replied to Charles, looking up at him from where she stood. His personality was extraordinarily adorable, and his slight awkwardness only added to that. A faint blush reached her cheeks when Charles held her by the waist though. It was only there temporarily however, and vanished as quickly as it had appeared.


"Hm? What did you have in mind, Jack?"

"Hm" Jack's attention was suddenly and violently torn from his wacky antics and pulled straight to their new guest that seemed to be approaching them at an impressive clip. Jack couldn't quite tell if the voice was hostile or not, but in cases such as this its far better to be safe then sorry... Keeping with that mentality, Jack quickly flicked his hand over his morpher and summoned the firey red AkibaRed to his side.

"Ya know its funny... The answer to your question is the opposite of my question, what are the odds of a coincidence like that..." Jack shook his head as he struck a heroic pose with AkibaRed doing the same at his side."If Jack was here... Would you be hostile?..." the presense didnt feel like anything to powerful, at least not next to Tamara... Though it always paid off to be on the safe side... Jack did so by having Akibared looking away from the approaching figure, searching for any hidden guests or attacks.

"..." Charles focused his attention away from the adorable awkwardness and towards the voice. It wouldn't take him much longer to notice the approaching figure as well. Whoever they were, though, they were looking for Jack. But who, how and why? That were the real questions.

"Mae, I think we should stay on alert for now." Charles said, glancing around and moving over closer to Jack together with Mae. "We've got each others' backs." There was no such thing as being careful enough, especially with his two favourite people at his side.

Mae nodded silently in response to Charles, looking at the figure in the distance... Someone knew they were here, and not wanted. Backup was close by as well, which was always a plus, should shit hit the fan, which it probably would, considering what they had in mind. Zachary probably already knew that they were here, seeing as the whole island was basically under his rule.

"Looks like we have some company..."

"Hmph. I appriciate the sentiment of a warning first. You would not believe how many times it's just "Howdy we're evil and now we're fighting," It's so refreshing to see politeness instead of raw anger and hostility. Though I can tell that's the extent of your hospitality, however I do think we can come to a peaceful resolution if you tell us why you want us gone..." So there she was... Alright, so we have one combatant and one support... though it would be unwise to count out the support entirely. Sense there was two of them it would be safe to say the support would have considerable combative skills of her own, if she didn't there would have needed to be at least one more combatant on their side to act as an escort for the supporter so the main combatant would be able to act freely during combat... However it would also be stupid to assume this was not the case and the third was simply hidden. The rangers had walked into a trap... Not surprising...

"Though, I suppose you're right, honesty is the best policy... and sense it seems there would be no point in hiding it any further, I am Jack Cater Rannells, The Judgement Ranger. Now I kindly ask that you both introduce yourselves so we can discuss this like rational adults. I'd rather not fight anymore then we have to." AkibaRed gave Jack a quick glance over his shoulder... Jack's Persona have always been a bit more autonomous then others, having their own thoughts and ideas... And right now AkibaRed's only thought was wondering if Jack knew what he was doing...

Charles focused his full attention onto the two arriving assailants. If needed, they would be dealt with and apprehended.

Almost instinctively though, he moved himself in between them and Mae.

Mae would keep her eyes firmly locked on the woman in front of them. She certainly looked like she meant buissness. Not that the pinkette was scared at all. She had faced way worse things in her time as a Persona user, and with her friends at her side, she felt confident that they could ward off any assaults towards them. But of course, she was willing to give Jack an opportunity to resolve this peacefully, if he could at all. He was still a cop, and bloodshed was usually a last resort. A sentiment which Mae both respected and believed in. If they wanted to fight, Mae was more than ready for it. She expected that it would be necessary... But trying a little bit of diplomacy wasn't a bad idea either. "I'm afraid we can't just up and leave... We have important matters to attend to. So, if you'd be so kind to step out of the way, we'll get our job here done quicker, and with less violence to boot." She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty for the sake of her home, friends and the kids at the orpahanage. They all deserved a bright, peaceful future, and Mae was here to make sure that those wishes came into fruition.
