Henry somehow found himself back to being fully conscious. He really didn't care how, but he still thanked the person that did so anyway. Because it was the polite thing to do.
Before he could ponder this any further, he heard the sound of combat.
And like a fool, he charged right in.

Masako was a little surprised. Did Ava just decide that there wasn't anything in the room? They haven't even gotten a chance to search it!

What's more, they were already engaging in another battle!

It seemed the group was now being attacked by a pair of even more retarded demons, with not much time to waste. Ava would prioritize attacking the ogun fuck.

She stared. The demons honestly looked like this?!

Of the two, the red looking... squid... lizard... thing, was the more distracting. The other one, what did they call it? And Ogun? Did Henry just say a pun?

... it was actually good, by her taste. She found herself chuckling at it.

It looked more like a guy in a costumes, hence not as worthy of being stared at. Though, seemingly more worthy of being the target? Eh, it was as good a place as any to start.

Oddly, she chose now to experiment. The others seem to have all kinds of magical abilities. Ava's tattoos came to life, Henry and Minnie have strange magic, Achelle seemed to possess a super human strength, and Masako, herself, seemed to have an ability to give an analysis that benefits the team.

But was that all Masako could do.

She reached out a hand towards the mummy man and focused. It seemed something happened. She felt something, deep from within, surge out and latch onto him. Whatever it was, she would observe and see what kind of effects it would have.

It seemed that whatever she did had an effect on the mummy man.

Maybe this ability can be useful in other respects? Might as well see how well it actually helps. Consider it payback for the electric shock, Waira.
