Rebel 2 (Open)

Shiro had got what he had gone to town for, in the end. A bag full of books. Educational books, for once, instead of pointless manga. He had nothing better to do than study at this point, since things were going slowly in all the manga he read. And apparently Two Piece was 50% done, after fifteen years, what the hell?

As he left the bookstore, he stayed quiet. Things had been just the slightest bit weird at school lately. He had suddenly noticed how weird most of his classmates were, and it really had him wondering how he had missed it all.

This seemed like the sort of thing that happened in the horror movie before the main character found out about the terrible cult. And Shiro really hoped that wasn't where this was going to end.

Hmm, let's see, where would be good places to check for good books? Hmmm, damnit, I hate not being able to think up things easily like those ridiculously intelligent people from fiction. Makes me envy not being real...... Real....... Damnit, I already talked with Gabe about this, there is no point in just dwelling in misery about something that can't be changed. Just gotta move forward and do my best to improve my situation with what was given to me, forced upon me more like it. Hmm? Looks like someone is over there carrying a ton of books in a bag. I guess he just came from a book store.... PERFECT! I can just ask him for the book store he just came from and any good books or litererary material and such is there.

"Um, excuse me sir. I assume you just came from a local bookstore? If so could you possibly direct me to it?" I ask politely. He seems to be quite the sophisticated individual so politeness is always good with them.

Shiro stared. Holy shit, his town was full of anime characters. He shook his head. "Down the street, to the right. Art in the windows. You can't miss it." Asking for directions wasn't too weird, he decided. That was practically normal. As far as he knew from his books anyway. Not that that meant he was done keeping an eye out for strange characters. It just meant that there were some people in town still normal. Though...this guy was a bit too polite about it. Shiro sighed. "You get a discount if you buy three books at once. They don't advertise that, though..."

"Oh, thank you sir." This guy seems to be staring at me. ... that just feels offputting. I know that no one can possibly know that I have the power of persona outside of my friends who also have the power, but this staring is still... egh, I better just ignore it. Hmm, he sighed, what was he thinking about? "Oh, that is nice. So, umm, I was also wondering, would you have any books to recommend checking out? I honestly don't care about the genre as long as it's good and it's hard to find what to get." I ask politely again. Advice never hurts, and I think that this intellectual would definently know some good literature.... oh god, my brain is going into intellectual mode.

"Well, what do you like? I kinda need to narrow it down a little." Shiro rose a brow. It was a somewhat odd question, but he didn't really care. 'Still, if he was looking for a bookstore, wouldn't he know what he wanted?' Shiro thought, his brows furrowing...wasn't his place to ask, he finally decided. "...I guess if you don't know what you want I could just give general suggestions..." He shrugged. Options were nice, he guessed.

"Well I guess I prefer fictional works, mainly fantasy." It seems that he is taking this a bit odd, but I need a good book to take my mind off of..... recent events. But I wonder what the actual depth of books there is counting the fact of the queen and all that. "Oh, do you really think you could? Thank you very much." I say pleasantly. I guess this guy is really is kind, but it's kinda hard to get suggestions for books I don't know about.
