"Yes, I know it's priceless, but that still doesn't explain why cool artifacts like these would have to be hidden. Huh, I guess it would be a good way to thief-proof these." Hmm, why is he investigating that shrine and those scrolls? "Religious contraband?" Oh shit, now that I remember correctly, the Queen is supposed to be revered as queen and GOD. Oh shit, this is just like bloody Kal Torak. Shit, why didn't I think of this sooner? Why didn't I make the parallels sooner? I guess it's because the queen is supposedly benevolent with her rule and supposedly saved us. Damnit. I face palm in frustration. "Yeah, I guess it would be bad to lose it to preventable situations. You know I won't tell people about this Takeru. And besides, I would probably be arrested too for conspiracy." Shit, why did I just say that? I hope he mistakes that for this instead of me having a persona, disobeying a religious law is one thing, but being a supposed terrorist is another entirely. "I think we should leave now Takeru. We probably shouldn't spend any more time here than necessary." I say preparing to leave.

"Conspiracy...? Isn't that a bit of a harsh way to put it? I mean, I could see guilt by association and such, but conspiracy? That's a bit dramatic, even by my standards. But you are right. We should leave before somebody sees us. I heard the cadets were patrolling around here lately." Takeru said, the two exiting as he took one last look at it before closing the door behind him, and locking it.
As he looked back at it as they walked back to Takeru's house, there was one other thing that he left out so that he wouldn't potentially needlessly scare Tatsui.
That those scrolls also contained (supposedly) rites to summon local Kami to aid oneself.
Those, if anything, were probably what would elevate this from simply "possession of religious contraband" to "possession of a (potentially) dangerous weapon."

"Well... that was certainly interesting, no?" Takeru said once they got back to the house.

"Yeah, well, breaking the law is harsh." Not that I don't know that already. I currently have power that is in direct violation of a law that would give me either death or...rehabilitation. Based on how I now have this power I am second-guessing the nature of this rehabilitation. So, now it's time to leave this shed of secrets. "Yeah, I guess that was quite interesting Takeru. So, I guess I'll be taking my leave now. I think that soon I would have to go anyways, so see ya."  I say waving my hand at a new, minor, partner in crime.
