Aya laughed. "Whatever you say. I won't simply die off like some loser, even if I get nothing. I grew up on the streets and I can prove it. I don't plan on leaving now that you said it." It was not her style to turn down a challenge or cower to a threat. She was a woman who did not fear. But this info from Selenus was all she needed. "I guess I owe you one. But I told you where the maintenance was so I guess we're even. That means if we get into a tussle I don't have to cut you any slack. See you tonight then," she said, walking off and back towards the mall-like building. Knowing this had come made it all the more exciting. She couldn't miss this for the world now, and it was all thanks to some freaky metal mutt.

Heh... there was a clear difference between being brave and being stupid, and it was clear to Selenus that Aya's vision on this difference was nowhere near 20/20. Still though, she had a certain spark to her eye that he ouldn't help but feel accustomed to himself. Maybe it was her lust for freedom, her street smarts, or just her general attitude. Whatever it was, it made him interested in seeing how her story would play out.

With a "See you." Selenus resumed his search for 8D's bar. He took the first left, like Aya told him, and kept going, hoping to find it. Needless to say... fate had other plans.
