| Riding the Endymion metro is something both the poor and the rich must eventually do. If you're poor it remains as your only method of getting from district to district quickly, and even if being rich allowed you to purchase a car... Endymion's dense traffic would ensure that you would try the metro at least once in your lifetime. Such is why people going to the Metro Station should expect to see people from all walks of life. Probably wouldn't expect to see a robot wolf, however.
Getting from Sunlake Palms to The Backlight is not something Selenus had the patience to do on foot (paw?), but he obviously wouldn't be allowed inside the actual metro for multiple reasons; among them being the fact that he takes up too much space and the fact that he is unable not to carry several weapons. Instead of riding like a normal passenger, Selenus had picked up the habit of sneaking on top of the trains from the emptiness of the metro tunnels just as they left, and jumping off unto the tracks as they slowed down at his destination. The distance between the top of the trains and the roof of their tunnels was just enough for Selenus to fit if he crouched a little bit. It wasn't exactly the most glamorous or effective form of transportation, and he was pretty sure he had to have been spotted more than once, but it was definitely better than footing it.
This particular time he'd managed to sneak into the Metro Station and even locate the train that headed towards The BackLight. It was only a matter of time until the train arrived, and he would have to get into position soon. He just hoped things would go as uneventfully as ever.

| The Backlight. One of her more favorite places. Easy to steal in, and even easier to get away with it. But today, Aya was slightly richer than usual, so she could just enjoy her lunch and not have to worry about beating someone up, or running from a cop. It was easy-street today. In fact, you might find that she had a hidden smile on her face, and it was genuine no less. It had been sometime since Aya thought she might get something to eat for the full day, but it uplifted her mood. It reminded her of why she chose this life instead of a comfortable home. Running away even in her worst times she didn't regret; and she would live her time to the fullest out here.
She'd walk off the train, and into the station. She didn't really have much business being in the station, so she would look for the closest set of stairs that led up to the District. The colored lights certainly looked appetizing. With a certain kind of tempo in her head only she understood, she walked up the stairs towards the inside of the building that made up the enormous District.

| With the arrival of the train, Selenus dropped down into the tunnels, then hopped onto the train once it began to take off. A good amount of minutes later found Selenus hopping down as the train slowed down; he had arrived at the BackLight. Of course he got a few weird looks here and there (as per usual) as he popped up from below the boarding platform, but it was nothing that could hinder his current mood. As he quickly climbed up the stairs into the BackLight, the velvety key that hung around his neck dangled past the point of his muzzle and went flying backwards downstairs. He quickly turned around to chase after it as it bounced down multiple stairs at a time. All was well and good until he noticed a young girl directly in his path. In a bout of quick reflexes, Selenus leaped over the girl and grabbed the key with his tail before it could slide down any further. That stunt was bound to draw some attention, but the people of this city had definitely seen much weirder, which was probably the only reason why he managed to do so many things in public and be left alone. Realizing he'd just leapt over someone, he quickly put the key back in its place and turned around to address the young woman. "Are you alright, miss?" | |

| Before she could make it into the District, a shadow flew over her head, and landed near her. It was a strange sight to behold, and this is considering the town made of freak psychos with Personas, and Demons running amok. Now there were....robots too? Yeah it looked like a robot on one of those silly animes. Nonetheless, even despite her good mood, she was still more than startled, and reached for her blade in her pocket, pulling it out just enough so the steel was visible to his eyes. Her face turned from mild and content to confused and annoyed.Wait....AND it talks? Just her day huh? "Okay, what the hell man? I've seen plenty, but now you're even worse. Did you have to jump in front of me like you were pouncing on lunch? What's the deal?" She said, ready to attack if the thing was asking for a fight. Getting a second look, she sort of admired the strange design of the mutt. It was like a twisted and badass version of Lassy. She couldn't help but get into it; being someone who admires weapons herself. Her face went from anger to more curious. "Hm...you're a fuckin' freaky thing. Not gonna lie, kinda killer look there. Even the key makes it work," she said, putting the steel back in her pocket, but keeping her hand nearby. She wasn't going to back down from the possible danger, but she certainly was interested. Just what was this thing up to? Was they key to something important? Now she wanted to know more about the para-military-lookin' canine. | |

| Seeing the girl get upset over his actions, Selenus quickly adopted a non-threatening stance. "I apologize if I startled you. This key is... highly important. Let's just leave it at that." Taking a better look at the girl, she certainly seemed like roughhouser, but Selenus knew better than to judge people based on their appearance.
He'd chuckle at her comment about his appearance, however. "Well, I was designed with combat in mind. I don't get many chances to use most of my equipment nowadays though. I'll just invite myself to take that as a compliment." Was she interested by combat equipment? That was a relief. Most people were intimidated by his appearance, if anything. "I'm Selenus, by the way. I hope I didn't actually hurt you, miss...?" He left a vocal gap to allow the woman to introduce herself.

| Aya smirked. "Don't worry about it. I just wanna know more about it. Can't keep secrets now. It could be cool as hell. Lemme in on it!" She said, half-grinning. Now she wanted to know. He couldn't leave her hanging like this. What if he had more people like him? "Aya. That's my name." She placed a hand over her hat, squishing her hair over part of her face. "But why don't you get to use it? There's plenty of people to mess around with in town, psychos to fight, Demons to rough up. It's great out here. Thanks for making me think on it. I kinda want to get into a brawl with one now." She let go of her side, and leaned back against the wall of the stairs. Of course fighting a Demon without that Cadet nonsense was probably a no go. Her knives did basically nothing to them or so she was told. But damn, would a brawl with a Demon be the highlight of her life! The itch to get into the shit was getting stronger, but her hunger was just as strong. Maybe she could try after eating? But then she'd be too full to fight. Would she have enough energy if she looked for trouble now? Decisions to make and not a lot of time. Selenus simply gave her too many ideas to think about. She turned back to him. "So what are you up to? Roaming the city yourself for a bite, or something?" | |

| Would it really be alright letting a random person know about the strange dream he had? On one hand, it certainly seemed to coincide with last night's events, but on the other hand no one could possibly use dreams as incriminating evidence unless they were Phoenix fucking Wright. "Last night I had a dream that I was given this key, then when I woke up it was hanging around my neck. I don't usually pay attention to stuff like this, but it's pretty clear that the supernatural isn't exactly unnatural in this town, so I'm holding on to it for now."
"Well then, it's nice to meet you, Aya." He greeted. Wait... this girl actually wanted to fight demons? Was she bat-shit insane? the gifted fighting demons was one thing, but regular civillians would die before they could properly process the fact that they're doomed. "If you don't mind my asking, how come you haven't applied to be a Cadet if you want to fight demons so bad? Don't they fight the supernatural for a living?"
Selenus grinned mentally. "I'm trying to find a specific bar where a friend offered to give me maintenance. Think of it as a robot's equivalent of going to the doctor. I don't suppose you'd know where "Grins' Hole In The Wall" is?"

| Her eyes nearly lit up at the concept. Keys appearing out of nowhere eh? That's way too neat to pass up. She clasped her hands together but didn't say anything when he answered. Though he did ask her reasoning for not joining the Cadets. When he mentioned them, her face turned into a sneer as she hacked up her mouth and spat on the ground next to her. "Please. I got no time for those book types. Fuck 'em, I wanna get power my own way, not so I have to bow down to some Ivory witch," the people spoke loudly in the area, so it was hardly like she was getting noticed by it. People badmouthed everything all the time. Besides, Aya didn't care who she pissed off. If they were any offended they could talk to her directly, or get out of the way.
Moving on, she had heard of a place like that, and pointed in the direction of it. "Down there, make your first left. It'll be there," she said. Now she had to scout out eventually for places she liked. At least she got a cool site along the way. She wasn't interested in leaving just yet if he still stayed around, though as far as she has already said, she wouldn't talk more about it.

| So she wasn't someone to answer to a higher power? He didn't know why, but her appearance kind of gave that away. "I see... I was made by the government y'know. They installed a program in me that would lock my joints up every time I tried to disobey an order, so I was basically a slave to them. Those weren't exactly the best years of my life... luckily I got my freedom further down the road." He decided it was probably best to keep to himself what exactly the government made him do. Not out of confidentiality or anything of the sort, which he honestly could not care less about anymore, but out of common decency.
...Really? It was that easy? For some reason Selenus doubted that. "Thanks" He plainly said. He should've said goodbye and kept going, but... there was something about this girl that he could relate to. It made him want to stick around a little more. Searching around in his mind for a topic of conversation, he remembered the painfully visible steel of her pocket knife. "Y'know, if your knife can be seen that easily you're gonna have a hard time getting the element of surprise." He commented as he used his tail to slide a knife out of its holster and presented it to Aya (Handle first, of course. Wouldn't want her to think she's being attacked.) "Get yourself a knife with less luster..." He suddenly remembered she herself admitted she's not bookmsart "Uh... a less shiny knife, that is. You could find some at a military surplus. How you decide to go about getting your hands on those knives, is your business." He chuckled.

| When Selenus commented on her knife, she smirked. "I don't care if people notice. Stealth isn't my thing." She said. She wasn't a coward who hid behind people and stabbed them in the back. She was always the type to go face to face with them in any kind of brawl. When offered the knife, she took it willingly and cut the wall near her. She placed it over her palm and applied the lightest of pressure, which drew blood almost immediately. Either Aya was good with knives, or this knife in particular was sharpened to the edge. Regardless, she offered it back to him. "Tsk. Like I said, fuck the government. I'm looking for a little freedom myself. I have it, but I want freedom to fight who I want. And the problems start at the top," she said, pointing up as though she was pointing at an ivory tower. Her cocky grin was nearly glowing, before she lowered her hand. "So, when can you tell me more about how to kick ass? Cause I don't want to wander and wait for the next time I get jumped by idiots." | |

| Selenus bit his metaphorical lip for a moment, before speaking up "Come with me. I can't say this in a crowd." He'd walk back up the stairs and enter the BackLight, scanning for cameras. After finding a blind spot in a corner behind the entrance doors, he'd becon Aya to crouch so he could whisper in her ear (assuming she followed him).
"You know those Psyche Terrorists, the guys that use Personae for their own personal purposes? One of them is holding some sort of get-together tonighthere in the BackLight. Apparently he wants to gather people who're willing to "see a world that the Queen is hiding from them". From what I understand he only wants people with Personae, but... what if I told you I have a theory on how to go about getting yourself one?" Never before did he think he'd be sharing this info with anyone, but there was a certain fire to the eyes of people with a desire to break free that Selenus just couldn't say no to.

| Aya would follow Selenus, hardly caring of any security watching her. In fact it was perhaps a good thing. If you didn't look obviously suspicious, then you won't be a target. Finding the doors, she'd lean behind them and remain out of sight as Selenus spoke to him. The Psyche-Terrorists eh? A meeting tonight of all times? How in the world did Aya never hear of this? Regardless, her lips curled in excitement. If this rumor was true, this could finally be the edge she needed. She grinned with a heavy nod."Now you're talking," she said back with a lower voice. Selenus didn't take the knife back, so she was busy cutting along the wall as she listened to the robot. She was eagerly making small marks, signing her first name in the wall, large enough to at least be read if someone went behind the area to look hard enough. "I'm all ears to learn. But does that mean you're one of them too? Damn...even better man." She grinned like an excited child. She'll have to prepare for the evening, as well as getting newfound strength based on what he said. However, even she as stupid as she was and eager to go off on her own, wasn't foolish enough to do it without considering something. "That means more are gonna show up right? Should I worry about who is gonna show up there in case I have to get into it with someone?" If people showing up at the get together weren't happy with her she could get into a fight. It'd be good to know who her enemies were and weren't. | |

| "No use hiding it now." Selenus admitted "I suppose you could technically call me that, but don't get me wrong; I'm only in it to help out a friend. I'm not like the guys you see on TV that go around on killing sprees for the hell of it. In fact, none of the others I know are like that." Once Aya finished engraving her name on the wall, Selenus picked up the knife from her hand with his tail and put it back in its place.
"I doubt things might get ugly, but the people attending would definitely be able to whoop your ass in your current state." Selenus warned her. He'd seen up close what Personae could do to demons, and he could only imagine how quickly they would tear through regular people. "You're definitely going to need a Persona of your own. From what I understand, when people are close to a group of demons for a specific amount of time, either they unleash a Persona or don't and, well... get killed. Are you sure you're willing to risk it?" It was how he and others had developed their powers, but the Reporter fainting made it very clear that not all people are ready to awaken to their power. "Besides, I can't think of any place where demons roam that aren't heavily monitored by the government. Unless you count the borders of the city, that is."

| Aya was slightly saddened that he needed his knife back, but she relinquished it anyway to him. Him telling her that they could "whoop her ass" was something she had to test now. She certainly didn't like being told she'd lose to someone, at all. "That is a challenge well-accepted. After I get my power. I'm not gonna back down and cower after hearing that. Hell no; I plan on giving it a shot, but just to show 'em what's up. Not cause they pissed me off." She paused for a moment before leaning off of the wall. "I need to meet more of you types I guess. We could raise a lot of hell together. Count on that; I can rough up some with the best," she cracked her knuckles together and looked around for any onlookers. If any were watching, they would be in danger of what she was just bragging about. She really was a loose cannon indeed. | |

| "That is IF you manage to make a Persona pop out, and that is one big 'if'." Selenus commented in an empathetic tone. "Not that I doubt your ability to obtain one, but your plan here is hanging by a rotten straw. If I were to be there though, I might be able to help you out if worst comes to worst. Let's meet up at exit to the city at night-time. Say... 9 O'clock. But just so you know, if things get too hot to handle I won't be held responsible for your death or whatever the demons decide to do with your body once you're dead. They're vicious beasts with no simpathy; they wouldn't be above having a little fun of the dark kind." Yes, Selenus was implying that. It was beyond what he would normally do to expose someone to such harm and/or treatment, but he somehow knew that achieving the goals of all the soon to be terrorists would take more terrorists than there would be goals. "Are you still in? Last chance to back out." | |
