"Phew..."
The white gym uniform was starting to drench and stick to her body as her breathing was labored through her exercises. Every once in a while, she had to pull on the shirt to keep it from taking the complete outline of her torso. But she was alone at this very moment as far as she was aware. Other than doing handstand push-ups, she was taking care in running around the place for some speed rather than just strength. It was an empty place, but quiet enough to do some exercises on her own. Her talk with Lisa did pump her up a bit, making her feel more motivated in her training.
She honestly wondered if her Lamecia surname was the very same one as Isla's. It would be akin to meeting royalty to her, but even more that she met the daughter of the goddess of her religion. Now this was going to be awkward. Should she simply just ignore the fact or take a more humble behavior towards her? Maria couldn't make any sense of it. Were these meetings with other people omens for things to come?

"You're looking abnormally hot! In a literal and figurative way, hehe!" A very familiar voice could be heard as the self proclaimed troublemaker stood at the entrance to the gym. To think he'd find Vampirella here at the school, it was almost like it was fate! Lucky! He wasn't some pervert or anything, but even he could tell she didn't look bad when she wasn't dressed in the usual get up. He gave an approving thumbs up to her, almost like he was cheering her on.
Jack was well aware he had the ability to rub her the wrong way. That was obvious from their first meeting when he called her a vampire. Most would call him a bully, but he just liked to tease people he felt was taking life way too seriously. His original reason for coming to the gym was to prepare it for a sorority that'd be coming to use it later. He was asked, and well he had nothing better to do while waiting for the night. Little did he know they were trying to send him away as they had noticed things seemed to go wrong when he was in their presence. His reputation as bad luck was soon to spread through the halls here, just like it did in the other schools in his past. Though now he didn't let it bother him. That constant isolation had given him thick skin and a "fuck the world" attitude when it came to rejection. But hopefully Vampirella wouldn't reject him!
He stopped a few feet away from her and moved the collar of his shirt to his forehead as if wiping away sweat. "Just watching you work out makes it feel like I'm working out. I would have never guessed you were so fit, but I guess that made sense now. I couldn't even move that coffin you tug around!"

Breathing was laboring and sweat started to drench more and more. She was just wiping off the right side of her neck with a nearby towel she had in place. The stickiness was unwelcoming, but she was feeling better refreshed from all that exercise. While wiping herself off, she nonchalantly replied, "Oh, thanks. I guess that's what happens when you exercis--"
She suddenly paused before allowing her eyes to widen in the size of saucers. Her blue head jerked towards his direction, causing her to drop her jaw to utter a surprised squall. What and why in the Hell was he doing here?
"Wh-what are you doing here?!" Maria managed to blurt out despite her shock while pointing a shaking index finger at him. She hurriedly tried to cover up her torso and the rest of the body with that small towel of hers, but clearly she was failing as it couldn't cover up everything. Maria had clearly expected to be alone. In fact, who else other than Lisa would come in here outside of class hours? She didn't expect any of this at all. But she soon recovered while looking to the side, clearly embarrassed.
"Sorry about that, didn't think anyone would be here. Uh... Yeah. I do. Otherwise, my back would break... Not that it almost happened anyway..."
She winced at the memories where Sister Louise put her in a literal "Training From Hell" at the nearby hills. Maria had wondered how she was able to last so long, perhaps it was because of her enhancements. But she couldn't bare to remember any more with a shudder.
"So, what brings you here, Jack?" she asked curiously while wiping off more sweat and pulling on her shirt in an in vain attempt to keep it from taking up the outlines of her body's outline.

"Bwehehe! You won't get rid of me that easily! I put a tracker on you so I can always find you!"
The Thief was trolling, but he was hella surprised he ran into her again so soon. It was perfect! Maria was never a dull moment. That reaction of her's put a smile on Jack's face. It was always the little things in life that made things oh so good! He rubbed a finger under his nose with a smile. "No need to apologize. Wasted words on me, ya know? More importantly, I can't believe you're a student here too. Looking for a job with the government to get the big bucks? Smart Smart! But maybe you should be a fitness trainer?" He commented while pinching his cheeks and still checking her out even though she was obviously trying to cover herself with the towel. When she asked him why he was there, he went quiet for some time. Actually why was he there again? He put his arms behind his head and looked towards the ceiling in thought.
"Huh? Why am I here again?? I was supposed to do something important." He muttered to himself while pondering for a few seconds. He pondered and pondered before shrugging his shoulders. "Who cares anymore/! So your body is like a total weapon. Do you know how to fight too? Like do you know kung fu, the Dane Cook of Martial Arts!?" He punched the air and did a kick that made him tumble back onto his butt.

If Maria wasn't already feeling despair already, she was feeling it now. Oh Isla. Now this creep had some kind of tracker on her person? No way. It can't be on her clothes, she just took them off to change into her gym clothes. A normal person probably would think he's joking. But she was clearly being naive here, not that she already wasn't to begin with. "...did you put it on my coffin?"
Her face was a mixture of annoyance, yet resignation as her face continued to redden. But ultimately, annoyance when she was noticing how he was looking at her. Great. Note to self, it's better to invest in bigger towels next time. She plainly replied to him about her being a fitness trainer while pulling at her shirt again, "Well. I thought about it, but I don't know. I'll have to think about it."
There was no way she was going to do that. In fact, she had planned to work in an environment to fight the demons or even to better protect the populace. It was what all her five years are for and why she bothered to join the Orishiki dojo.
Honestly though, Maria wondered why he was here. But him forgetting didn't help her so she decided to not care either. It was a futile endeavor to understand him at all. There was a pained gleam in her eyes when he commented about her body as a weapon, but she quickly recovered with a chuckle before he could try to notice. She had to admit, it was a bit funny to see him falling after that attempt of a basic maneuver.
"I just learned basic self-defense. That's all, really. I'm still learning and I'm not great at it. Though, I have to say, you might want to take some lessons yourself after just now."
Why should she simply be a passive victim here? For once, a little bit of a jab here shouldn't hurt. If he was going to have fun messing with her, why can't she do the same?
OOC:
Yeah, shitty attempt at a render with the face. But the original material wasn't big enough for the face to be big either. So I got no idea what else to do, lol

"Heehee! I'm joking, ya know? I didn't put a tracker on anything! I'm like the worst when it comes to electronics!" Jack laughed at how seriously she was taking his joke. Did she really think he did that? She was so naive that it just was begging him to tease her abit! Vampirella was a really unique person. Not only was she a walking tank with a large coffin to match, but she also was comically naive. In some alternate world they could have been a comedy duo! That would be something that everyone would totally want to see. But anyway, his idea for her to be a bodyguard didn't seem so far off. She definitely had a body for it even though she was trying to cover it up. Albeit very poorly.
When it came to the comments on how he should take lessons on self defense, he'd snicker. Throwing his arms behind his head, he'd look up towards Maria with a goofy grin. "Maybe you can teach me some stuff!? I'm usually working in the morning so I'm not sure if I can visit the Dojo all the way in the Little Tokyo District. But with you here, now, we could train all we'd want together! This is the perfect chance to punish me for earlier, ya know?" He rolled to his feet and stood before her with a salute. "I'll even call you Master... or Sensei! Isn't that what weebs call their teachers?"

"Geez, don't even joke about that, Jack," Maria whined at him, "Stalkers are creepy, y'know? You shouldn't be like that."
Maria wasn't sure what to be glad for, whether his inability to handle electronics or that he wasn't a stalker. Perhaps, it would be the latter. She heard a lot of disturbing rumors and gossiping of stalkers while working in the Church. Stories of unwanted eyes gazing at your every move and your most vulnerable moments. Maria was one that really didn't like the lack of personal privacy. She, like many other people, had things that they would rather hide away from others. Embarrassing details, mostly, but also the fact of why she has her Demon Weapon. Those were all she wanted to obfuscate. It definitely rammed through her comfort zone with an army of rampaging delivery trucks.
"...what? WH-WHAAAAAAT?!"
She was an absolute loss as she dropped her towel at her feet. Perhaps Maria should've seen this coming. She started to kneed the bridge of her nose in thought. Why should she stick to this guy? He's just all around weird and stuff. A rejection should be her answer, totally, given how she was probably going to be busy. Right?
"Just... call me by my name," Maria finally sighed in resignation, "I'm honestly not great, myself. But if you're okay with some basic stuff, I guess. Sure. I might be busy at times. You alright with that?"
What the fuck, brain? How was a simple rejection this difficult? Right now, she wanted to rip and tear her little towel as she picked it right back up. Yet, she remained as composed as possible. Really. What the hell?

"Hey! Isn't stalking one of the five aspiring ways of admiring someone? It starts first with meeting them, second is taking a strand of their hair, third is stalking them, fourth is moving into their closet when they aren't home, and fifth is wearing their clothes and becoming them. I need more training before I can do them all." The Dark Haired young man would rub his chin and tilt his head in thought. Jack seemed to really be thinking about this on a serious level, which was more than just frightening if one were to truly think of the implications of it all. Though the fact such a tough looking woman could get freaked out by a stalker made Jack chuckle to himself. "You'd would probably crush a stalker.. with your bare hands! Nanomachines, son!"
Her outburst caused Jack to tilt his head and smile. Was it so surprising he wanted her to show him the ropes? Jack wasn't much of a fighter. He had never had an ounce of combat in his life. Little did he know, it was in his blood to be proficient with weaponry, but he had never even thought of that. His first thought was hand to hand combat, which was what he lacked. Make no mistake, he could take a beating pretty damn well but he couldn't dish it out. Anything was going to be a learning experience at this point!
"Thanks, Maria..(-sensei), you're the best! Where do we start? When do I kick through walls and punch through bricks!?" Jack was overly excited for something he'd probably never be able to do normally.

"...Jack."
Oh Isla, why? Please no. Was he actually being serious about the stalker thing? She could feel her own face forming into an expression of horror right now... no. That was wrong. She was making a comical face that regarded him as some kind of threat or maybe a source of anger. Seriously, this guy needed some help. Maria wasn't feeling too pleased by this right now. Weird or not, he had to realize even tough women had their limits just as everyone else did. But she finally sighed while kneading the bridge of her nose again upon remembering back at Suzie Q with Shiina. She'd just let it pass, as usual. Perhaps it was her mistake in taking him too seriously. But it made her wonder when she'd actually have to at one point.
Maria took a glance at his scrawny body. While he was clothed, he seemed awfully average despite looking rather disheveled. Then again, upon that simple glance, he actually didn't look that scrawny either.
"We'll work with some exercises first to toughen you up a bit. Now, drop down and give me... uh, forty."
Forty seemed like a good number for her. Forty was like a light exercise. When serious, she mostly did those hand-standing push-ups. So how will Jack fare?

"Exercise? EEEEEEHHHH, I dun really feel like it!" Jack sat on his but and played a game like a typical lazy teenager that had no motivation in their life. He wanted to punch through walls not do push ups! What was a push up anyway? He had never done a thing in his life! The young man moved a strand of black hair out of his face as he tossed the game to the side and looked towards Maria. "Here's a better idea! You show me what you can do and I'll emulate it! Kinda like how we follow trainers by their example, right? So show me ya moves, Maria!" He cheered on the girl he had just called a monster a few hours earlier. Well, not necessarily a monster but a Vampire all the same. He wondered if she bit him, would he get her vampire genes and become one himself!? Jack tilted his head and looked at Maria's teeth with dark round eyes. He could plan her biting him at a later time. For now, he could fantasize turning into a bite and flying around. So totally awesome! Also he'd get to drink all the blood he wanted. He wondered how that tasted!
He was getting abit too excited and daydreaming before her. However, this was the perfect invitation for her to demonstrate any martial arts she had learned so far. The day-dreaming, pervert was practically begging to be used as a training dummy at this point. Maria had all the right to do what she wanted aswell. After all, he was checking her out, called her a Vampire, and even teased her on multiple occasions. Now he was practically asking for her to kick his ass for it.

This guy, he really wanted to push all of Maria's buttons. After calling her a vampire, staring at her lecherously, acting a bit like a creeper, and even asking for lessons, he had the utter audacity to not want to do the first exercise Maria offered. Perhaps forty might have been too much, but to straight out not wanting to do it out of laziness? He has a long way to go. But a short way to really setting off the fuse in Maria's head. She calmly breathed in through her nostrils, reining in her anger. But not completely suppressing it. Oh no, she was at her limits alright.
"Yes... Yes. I'm so glad you're so motivated. As you wish. I will beat all my moves into you. Prepare yourself."
She had a fearsome aura about her. Knuckles cracking audibly and fingers flexing, Maria seemed utterly calm, yet she seemed ferocious. At this point, perhaps Jack had realized he had made an awful mistake. Perhaps he would complain that she misheard him. But that is too late. The damage has been done. Nothing can be done to stop her fury.
"WATAAAAH! DRAGON SPIRAL PUNCH!"
She struck out a straight punch at his gut. While she wasn't really using her full strength, it would be hard enough to feel like a baseball bat hit him.

Jack's body went flying back from the blow, and he'd hit the ground with a hard thud. Grasping his stomach, he'd roll back and forth on the ground. "Ouch Ouch Ouch! Are you a sadist? You totally enjoyed that! You were smiling!" The young man sat up and looked towards Maria with puffed cheeks. Even though that wasn't her full strength, it didn't mean it didn't hurt! He was no where near as built as her, and the concept of hand to hand combat went over his head entirely. Jack fell forward, at her feet, and laid straight down on the ground. "Uguu.. I don't think I can go on.." He was obviously in pain right now from the sudden attack. "..L-Let's try that again..." Jack raised his hand up for help while rubbing his stomach with the other. Maria was strong. Stronger than he would ever be most likely. Jack had always known he was more of a fighter that used their wits than power. Brain over brawn, and all that snazzy stuff.
I mean, it was honestly easy to tell Maria would most likely kick his ass any day of the week. She carried around a coffin he couldn't even pick up on his best day. And she was a vampire. What vampire did you know was weak? Even the prissy ones in Twilight were pretty damn strong, and they sparkled like the golden sun! "Operation: Get Maria to bite me, may still be a go.." He though to himself.
Traits:
—Weakness Name: Weak at Hand to Hand Combat —Description: Being so focused on weaponry, Jack is very poor when it comes to hand to hand combat. Without his weapons to his disposal, he'd have to rely solely on his Persona or he'd get decimated in a fist fight.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Jack~ All I did was show you my moves~"
Singsong voice aside, Maria had to admit it felt cathartic to a significant degree. But she broke out in an amused laugh, failing to stay composed as she wanted. Oh she was horrible, alright. But that Jack guy really deserved it. So Maria didn't feel too bad right now and she wasn't going to say sorry... at least not right now. She offered a hand to Jack and brought him up on his feet.
"We can just call it a day and try again next time. Not bad. I thought you were just going to pass out."
Jack never seemed to be a tough guy anyway. Maria more or less expected him to keel over in pain, it was going to take something else to actually knock out a person. But a little white lie wasn't going to hurt here. "Need some water? I can go get you some if you want. Too bad the one from this morning isn't here right now."

The moment she took his hand, he pulled her down while shooting upwards with two fingers pointed towards her eyes. However, he stopped just before touching her glasses and gave an innocent smile. "I may not be as tough as you, but I'm still tricky! Don't forget that, Mariaifu~" Jack said playfully while giving a childish, toothy grin. That was his strength honestly. If he were in a fight and having some trouble, he'd rely on his wits more than his own brawn. Brains over brawn, right? He was never built to be strong physically and he knew that. Hell, no one in his family really was that built, considering they were a family of thieves. They had to look discreet, and being a buff walking tank was definitely not discreet at all! Taking a break for the day didn't sound like a bad idea though. Jack dusted himself off and picked at the stitches on his arm with a thin smile.
"Taking a break for the day? Sure we can do that, but maybe you should totally give me some homework to work on for next time. A cool martial arts move that's totally awesome!" The dark haired young man would pose and do a few punches towards the air. "If I master the move, maybe you can bite me and turn me into a vam-, I mean whaaat?" He played dumb and whistled while looking to the side innocently.

She had to admit, Maria never expected him to take advantage of her offer to help him like this. He definitely took her off guard and that was definitely the scary part of him as she soon would find out. She reflexively blinked as his fingertips tapped against her glasses, almost lost in understanding what just happened at first. But what Jack said next caused her sigh in resignation.
"Alright. Alright, I get it. Now get up, won't you?"
Maria finally pulled him up and watched Jack. She stared at the thread-work on his arms. While the girl hadn't been paying much attention at first, the way how he nonchalantly treated the lines through his skin. The girl wondered if it was painful, but he didn't seem to mind. But when it came to homework, Maria did have one in mind, yet she didn't know if this guy will take it seriously. But that little slip-up about her biting him, while causing her to furrow her brows at him, didn't really help matters in Maria trusting him enough to take this seriously.
"Watch and take up this stance," she ordered while taking up a basic stance with her hands near her face, her chin was tucked in with eyes looking forward, her left leg leading forward and her back foot behind her with heel slightly lifted. It was clearly a basic guard taught to all beginners. "Remember to tuck elbows in and stay relaxed."
When all was followed by Jack, she extended her left arm completely and held it there for a moment, as if doing a punch, before pulling it back to the stance. She waited for a moment to see Jack doing it as she did. Once her "student" did as he saw, Maria pulled out a vicious jab in empty air and just as quickly returned her jabbing hand back into the guard.
"Keep relaxed all the way through, but tighten the fist at the moment of impact. The speed of when you punch and when you return your hand should be equally fast. You don't want to leave yourself open. Got it? That's a jab and that's your homework, keep doing this up to fifty times a day or as long as you can. You need the muscle memory, there's a reason why this is used a lot. Figure it out."
Maria didn't bother to explain the full benefits of a jab. For someone like Jack, it would be better for him to figure out why this was useful through his own understanding. Not only would it make training meaningful than most, but it would probably garner interest in him to figure it out on his own. This was pretty much her test to see how serious Jack was on learning.
