- Educate oneself in the dealings of both the natural and supernatural worlds at an early age. Once reaching the age of twelve one should already be at college level.
The Tsurinai Family's history dates far back, however the most relevant history partakes roughly a hundred years before the start of the plot. Originally the Tsurinai Group worked for the Eruka Group who's sole purpose were the creation of military arms. They were the main backbone of the ever evolving Japan, and successfully protected their home from behind the scenes. In a number of years, the Tsurinai Group successfully leached enough influence to separate from the Eruka Group and became their own leaders. Many followed behind them, simply because of the respect they gained from the hard work and status they were known for over the years. Of course, the Eruka Group did not take this kindly, as they loss not only their members, but a large sum of money because of the sudden departure. They openly acted against the Tsurinai Group, who at this time was lead by a man by the name of Tsurinai Qilin. In Qilin's reign of the Tsurinai Group, he was the first to display the talons of the Crimson Eagle, the Tsurinai Group's family crest. Preparing a fake wedding between his only daughter, and the son of the Eruka head, Qilin went behind their backs to begin to subtly and slowly poison the Eruka Family name. Meeting with the rivals of the Eruka Group, Qilin began to make a bargain.
Soon many despised the Eruka Group thanks to the tampering and framing from Tsurinai Qilin. When the day of the wedding came many took this chance to handle the Eruka Group when they were all in one place. A grave mistake the head of the Eruka Group made was allowing the Tsurinai Group to be in charge of the arrangements. Using their connections, the Tsurinai Group hired a special group of chefs to tend to the feast before the wedding. Having feasted upon the drugged food the Eruka Group was not expecting the cathedral to be stormed by their rival families. Tsurinai Qilin, with a twinkle of satisfaction in his eyes, watched as his enemies were slaughtered upon the floor of the cathedral. By the end of that day, the Eruka Group was no more. Qilin had made sure to erase them entirely, which pleased their rival groups into joining the Tsurinai aswell. Once again, Qilin would use his influence to cover up the mass murder, making it so the records showed that the Eruka Family was killed in an freak accident.
With the Tsurinai Group's main adversaries removed from the equation entirely, they simply began to expand even more than before. Switching their main purpose towards the science route, the family began to experiment with the unknown. The children of the Tsurinai Group became more accustomed with the supernatural aswell, as they were put through many studies in their childhood so they understood the practices far more easier than the average man. They are also taught the meaning of their family emblem and their house rules. By the time Qilin passed the Group to the heir, the Tsurinai Group was already on its way to having a solid foothold in Japan.
