Forever (Sharaku) Empty
PostSubject: Forever (Sharaku)   Forever (Sharaku) EmptyFri Apr 08, 2016 12:01 pm

Who would have ever thought these islands would face another tragic event so soon after the last? She certainly didn't. The devastation was obvious as she walked down a street. The destruction could be worst, yes, but the fact that people had died in the chaos made her shiver. This certainly wasn't what she had planned for in coming back here. What exactly happened? What set things off so suddenly and without warning?

It was confusing and terrifying, though, she felt okay for the time being. She knew there were others that held power here, and she knew they wouldn't stand idly by as people got harmed. After all, she had helped the best she could in the given situation. She had brought a few people too the old studio for safe keeping, they'd be safe there, hopefully. At the very least it had a basement and plenty of places to hide. Perfect for outsmarting demons if they stayed quiet.

Though, regardless, what would be her course of action from here on out? She hadn't contacted anyone she knew from here beforehand... Why would she? She hadn't even given the passing thought she'd be here longer than a few days. Plus... She didn't exactly wish to reunite with her old allies and friends. Not with the way she was back then... They probably all despised her at this point, might as well not unearth any unpleasant memories at the least.

Though, it was safe to say she was aimlessly walking around. She knew something was up with the water, but she also knew she wasn't necessarily strong enough to go alone. She was a back lines fighter, something that could aid but not rashly run into battle alone. She could try and find someone she didn't know and try and find something out with them... But, forcing her will upon others wasn't exactly the best idea either. People were stressed, they may see her as a threat rather than a helpful aid.

With a sigh, the furisode wearing girl continued walking down the street she was headed on, obviously deep in thought. She held one hand up to her mouth, covering it with the large sleeve of the kimono like dress. This outfit wasn't necessarily fit for battle either... Though, it wasn't like she could run to the probably locked hotel all the way in Penecia to simply change. This would simply have to do for the time being... Hopefully it didn't get ruined.

Forever (Sharaku) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Forever (Sharaku)   Forever (Sharaku) EmptyFri Apr 08, 2016 3:03 pm

This day was such an odd one. Alas, when exactly did he have normal days? Heh. Perhaps it was better to not attempt counting that, lest the number might come out as rather dissapointing. Plus, Sharaku severely doubted any of the following days would be any less weird than this one. With a new calamity on the horizon, things would be hectic for a while. Even the dumbest person would be able to assume that much, as sad as it was.

The man was currently sitting up on the edge of a roof, on a random building. An odd spot to occupy, but he quite liked the fresh air up there, and it made for a nice view in case something was happening. Two birds with one stone, right? All that aside, he still needed to ponder what to do next. There were many options, but he didn't quite feel like joining the current frays. By this point, that rally was likely being dealt with by others. He didn't know much about the Prime minister, but considering she made it clear she was the one making the barrier and whatnot, she probably had a crowd after her as well. The portals were a question, but he wasn't quite certain he wanted to get stuck in there. Not just yet. It would be more beneficial to somehow figure out a way to travel between them freely first, if there was one. Hmm, what else...he could maybe try to seek out some people....

He was lost in thoughts for a while, until something disturbed his line of sight. Actually someone. He'd blink a few times to focus on the reality as he looked down at the...strangely dressed woman walking down the street. Okay? Perhaps it was just his luck to meet lone wanderers out here. Most people were still sticking to hiding out inside, despite the barrier acting as a protection for now. Yet, fear can be a strong motivator, and many have gotten a taste of what can happen by seeing it two years ago.

Sigh. Well, he did need to investigate something, seeing as he did not have a solid plan of action yet. Might as well see if she was out there just because, or had a reason. You never know what can you find out from people when you expect it the least. He'd whistle, in an attempt to get the woman's attention (considering he was up on a building, he couldn't expect her to look there for no reason). ''Hey. If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing out alone at a time like this?'' Worth a try.

A whistle, then words. This caused the girl to look around in confusion before tilting her gaze towards the sky. And there, on a roof, sat a man. How odd... How exactly did he get up there to begin with? Did he scale the building from behind or was there a hatch from the inside? She didn't quite know, but it seemed he wished to inquire on her current course of actions. Well, she didn't quite know that herself... May as well cater to the man's curiosity at the least, he may be someone that could properly aid her in the long run.

"Well, I'm currently trying to find, to put bluntly, something to do. I'm not entirely sure on my course of actions though... I'll possibly be heading towards Penecia, most likely..." she'd say with a gentle nod. Her sleeve still covering half of her face. She spoke clearly though, a pleasant tone of voice escaping her. However, what really was she to do? There were more than just three islands... And if this event was like the last one, they were all important. This made investigation quite difficult... Oh, how much she wanted to go to Standasen, just at a chance... But, no, she needed to be wise. Right now, more people would be there than anywhere else. It'd be fool hearty to delve into a desire like that in a time like this.

"I hate to ask, but you wouldn't happen to know anything about the current events? Or are you like me, trying to figure out what to do?" she'd ask with a light tilt in her head. She was truly curious now... Though, whether or not he'd cater to her curiosity was yet to be discerned. After all, he could be a demon playing a game with her. Oh, that was a terrifying thought... If this barrier kept demons out, did it keep them in as well? It'd be best not to summon any here by accident then...

"Oh, though... Uh, sir? How'd you get up there?" she'd also ask. It wasn't the most pressing matter at hand, but... Friendly small talk did wonders? It was probably a stupid thing to ask, honestly. What did it matter to her? But, she wanted to know none the less. It couldn't exactly hurt to ask either. Unless he hated being asked questions correlating with him sitting on roofs. Then she'd be in trouble... But what were the chances of that?

Alright, step one successful. After all, she could have always refused to even talk to him. It wouldn't be a wonder for some people to be suspicious right now. And he looked rather weird to begin with, didn't he? Regardless, it would appear that she didn't know all that much. Then again, a bit of small talk wouldn't hurt him, since he already went out of his way. ''Hmm, I see. Penecia might be more dangerous right now though. This place is at least decently safe, but there might still be some straggler demons hanging out over there.'' They sure seemed to be heading towards Standasen back then, but would all of them actually do so? You always have the odd ones out that do whatever, so he'd make a blind guess that a few demons would be roaming around even now. ''Anyway, if you really plan to go, prepare for a long walk. The subways are out of order at the moment. Unless you already know that. In which case, don't mind me.'', he'd comment on second thought. She didn't look to be dressed for a longer trek, to be honest. And to get across the islands, she'd have to walk through the subway tunnels.

He'd hum lightly when she prodded him about what was happening. ''Half-half. I do know a bit about what is going on right now, but I haven't decided what to do next just yet. There's a lot of mystery floating around for now.'' Not that he would have expected any different. When was the supernatural ever easy to figure out? Well, despite the mystery factor, he appeared to be in a rather easy-going mood at the moment. How would that affect this conversation was unknown, however.

He'd blink, tilting his head slightly when she followed up with a much less expected question. Ah well. Guess it was a tad strange that he was up on a roof. He couldn't deny that. On the other hand, he did what he liked, not minding what people thought unless it mattered strongly enough. ''I did some climbing. It's not that hard, though perhaps it's just because I can do it well.'', he would answer, shrugging to himself lightly. Having good agility was always helpful in getting places, and it's not like the building was made of flat glass that was impossible to climb. ''Do you want me to get down?'', he'd ask in a somewhat joking tone. He didn't really mind either way.

Cater he did but spill he did not. She always wondered why that expression was used so often... Didn't one not wish for their server to spill their food? Tsk, that wasn't really important right now... He knew something, but exactly what wasn't yet known. Why couldn't people just talk? It'd make gathering information super easy and quick. Though, she supposed there wasn't much 'fun' in that. But, still... Games at a time like this? She never understood why no one ever talked...

"Yes... I figured as much. Though, I can't idly sit in safety during something like this. I just wish I knew where to go... Oh, can't these events just have giant signs pointing you where to go?" she'd say in a huff. She often said similar things last she was here. Though, this time it seemed less like a competition and more like an invasion. That makes more sense, in a way, but still... Couldn't they give them a small break?

"I figured as much... And to think this is the first time I wear this... Oh well. I'll be content with walking if I must... I could probably use the exercise before confronting something, in all honesty." she'd say with a gentle nod of her head, looking towards the distance. She honestly didn't mind walking, even in this outfit. She was used to wearing clothing too extravagant for her own good, though, she never had to fight in one such outfit... That would prove a daunting task at the least...

"This whole invasion seems like a mystery to me, let alone what made the barrier and why all the demons headed towards Standasen... Albeit, I assume you know the answers to these? Or am I grasping for straws? Oh... Well, any information you're willing to give me would be greatly appreciated." she'd say with a light nod of her head. She was completely in the dark considering what had recently occurred. Besides the obvious of where the demons came from and where they went, she didn't know much else. Did she want too? Staying in the dark may be better, after all... Last time she delved too much into the nature of the previous Event, she lost herself...

"Oh, you climbed that building? Dear me... That's impressive." she'd say with an honest awe in her voice. Really? Just up and climbed a building? Well, that was interesting at the least. She didn't exactly know why someone would do that, but it wasn't really needed for her to figure out why. Vantage point, maybe? That was always a possibility. "Hm? Well, that's completely up to you. You stopped me, after all. I'd hate to tell you what to do." she'd say with a gentle shrug. She honestly didn't care either, it wasn't like her neck was hurting because of the angle it had to rest at to view the man. Regardless of that, she wouldn't force him to do anything, it was up to him what he wanted to do.

Forever (Sharaku) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Forever (Sharaku)   Forever (Sharaku) EmptyFri Apr 08, 2016 5:20 pm

He would snort lightly at her response. ''Doesn't everyone wish for that? Yet, the world doesn't work that way. It never has. Besides, this is quite different from what has happened 2 years ago. I sincerely doubt there will be many clear signs either way. If it was as easy as having obvious signs for every solution to a problem, this all probably wouldn't be happening in the first place.'' He could see where she was coming from. He did get annoyed by the games himself. On the other hand, he kind of knew that in the end, complaining wouldn't do the trick (as much as he liked to point out the annoyances himself at times). Dissapointing, but what can one do? Certainly, crying over spilled milk has never done the job.

''Say, why Penecia? I came from there, and all I saw back then was a few demons.''
Not that it couldn't have changed in...how long has it been, three quarters of a day? Well, it hasn't been 24 hours just yet. That much he was sure of. But still. He found it unlikely that something extra interesting would have showed up there right after, considering how Standasen and the other side of the portals were most likely the current hot spots.

Hmmm. He would glance at the violet colored sky in thought for a moment, before turning his attention back to her as he rested his chin on one hand. ''The barrier was made by our Prime minister. What her goal is, I don't know though. The demons are most likely heading over there due to the rally that is going on. As for the forces behind this invasion and all...that is something I'm not quite eager to discuss with someone I have no specific reason to trust. I'd prefer to excercise caution when it comes to some details.'' For one, it was a personal choice, as he didn't trust people's intentions completely on sight. And two, due to the nature of what he learned from Oki, it was also tricky. He wouldn't want to accidentaly come across one of those guys and say too much. You never know who you're really speaking with, and so far he had no method of proving someone's identity. Unless he was sure he knew that person well.

He'd smirk thinly. ''So I did.'' Even though he didn't find it all that impressive. ''Maybe you have a point. Although, it's not like asking people to do something is a crime.'' As long as it wasn't a literal command or such, that is. Oh well. Regardless, it would certainly be easier to maintain a conversation without this much height difference. With a huff, he would stand up, staring down at the ground for a bit, gauging the distance. Eh, passable. Thankfully, he hadn't climbed a skyscraper. That in mind, he would hop from the roof, landing down in a crouch to absorb the impact a bit, before straightening back up.

PostSubject: Re: Forever (Sharaku)   Forever (Sharaku) EmptyFri Apr 08, 2016 5:51 pm

Oh, he wasn't wrong... It still sucked that everything had to be so hard and annoying. But, then again, you couldn't complain about everything. She'd have to muster up some strength and wisdom to get around. She could do it, obviously. She was just as cunning as she had been back then, just not as mad. But still, tactics only got you so far when you were the entire army. She still needed an ally to do anything with... Why was she forced to be so dependent? It didn't matter though, as much as she wanted to do something, staying passive is what brought her back too her senses. Her personas definitely showed that as well. She was a neutral force that wished to do good, that was that.

"You're right... Oh well, though. No point in meditating on such negative thoughts. There are still things I can do with or without signs from above. Might as well do those, honestly." she'd say with a gently nod of her head. While she wasn't invincible, she still was capable of some things... At the most, helping people. What more could one do in a time like this? At least walking forward meant something could eventually be done.

"I just have a feeling, I suppose... Maybe if not Penecia, I'll find something or someone in the sub way system. I don't really know though... But, I'm content with following the feeling in my heart. Unless you have a better idea, it's all I got to go on." that was basically the truth. What more could she do, honestly? Unless someone told her what to do, her heart was all she had.

"Ah... Well, the information you've given me is received and taken with gratitude. And I understand completely. We have just met, after all. It'd be ill advised to share crucial information with someone you don't know." she'd say with an agreeing nod of her head. As helpful as the information the man held could be, she understood his secrecy. Why deny logic?

"A crime it may not be, but I still would rather you choose on your own accord. It'd be rather rude other wise, in my opinion." she'd say simply, taking a step back when he realized he was going to jump. Was he afraid he was going to die? No. Something told her he was more than meets the eyes. Simply put, people performed more daring and extravagant feats when she was here during the first event. She'd follow him as he fell with her eyes, her furisode sleeve still covering the majority of her face. Though, it didn't hide the surprise in her eyes. He looked familiar... But she couldn't place where... Or why, for that matter. Did he recognize her? Well, that'd surely be known soon.

Forever (Sharaku) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Forever (Sharaku)   Forever (Sharaku) EmptyFri Apr 08, 2016 6:41 pm

For a good while, he would simply listen quietly, thinking to himself. Something about the way she spoke struck him as a little odd, but he couldn’t quite put a finger on what it actually was. Nevertheless, he was left with little to say towards her responses. This once, not necessarily because he didn’t know what, but more so that it didn’t feel right. Although, finding anything useful to state was hard in itself anyway. He could always try to inquire what exactly were the things she thought she could do, or what exactly she was hoping to randomly find it the subways….but, he wasn’t very interested in that. After all, to each their own. Seeing as she already claimed she didn’t know much about the situation, and had asked him for information, he could assume her answers would be vague if he went and asked those questions. Therefore, it was sort of moot.

Still….’’Are you just hoping to randomly run into something useful?’’ Her words kind of gave that vibe, but might as well confirm it, even though it wouldn’t be of any use to him to know for sure. It was just so he wouldn’t sit there like a piece of rock, not saying anything. He was trying to avoid doing that, unless he actually had to. God knows he had a bad habit of going silent on people, which was very potent at killing a conversation. With the exception of cases when his company was outgoing and confident enough to carry the talk themselves without prompting, but she didn’t strike him as one of those more fiery types based on her style of speech so far. He could always be wrong, but that was the initial impression at the moment.

‘’Mm, where were you up till now? The information about the rally going on and the minister’s announcements were all over the radio and any broadcast yesterday. It was almost impossible to miss it.’’ Unless you lived buried in the ground. At first, it hadn’t hit him, but on second thought, it was actually strange she was as clueless as that. Unless she just came here today, but that would be beyond odd itself. Honestly.

He’d hold back on responding to her words until he was safely on the ground. ‘’A lot of things are considered rude to do. But sometimes you have to show some initiative to get things done, in my opinion.’’ That, and frankly, asking someone to move a bit was one of the least rude things he could imagine someone doing. If that was rude, then what wasn’t? He’d watch her for a moment, before raising an eyebrow slightly at her surprised look. ‘’Is something wrong?’’ Honestly, he probably wouldn’t recognize her without some sort of reminder. She looked rather different now, and they have never been more than acquaintances of sort. She even acted differently from before, thus he had nothing to grasp on just yet.

Forever (Sharaku) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Forever (Sharaku)   Forever (Sharaku) EmptyFri Apr 08, 2016 7:09 pm

That could be a possibility. Honestly, last time she had done that she had fought Ananke, found Asha, and tried to attack Angel. Well, with mixed results at best, blindly following her heart was something she just knew how to do. It felt right. Though, exactly what would happen this time was unsure. She had faith in her ability to stand strong, but... Bad memories still lingered. Would she be okay alone? She didn't know... But she wanted to follow this feeling unless someone else gave her another option.

"Well, I suppose I am. It worked wonders last time." she'd say with a light laugh. Honestly, she didn't know what too expect... These paths were so uncertain and confusing and had so many options. She didn't exactly no where to place her talents at. Penecia seemed like the best bet, and if not there, possibly Maltsu? Last time, something awful boiled there too the point where both versions of it were destroyed. Could the same event happen there? Or is a different island's fate similar to Maltsu's? It was so confusing with so little to go on... Hm...

"I... Hah, I was actually spending most of yesterday in Lunapa. There was a spot I visited there during the event I wished to return too for the day. No wonder I'm as clueless as I am... I decided to visit San Malarus before heading back to Penecia today, however, everyone became quite flustered in the sub way and once we got here, chaos was erupting. Hm... I suppose that's what I get for leaving my phone at the hotel for an entire day." she said with a shake of her head and a crossing of her arms. She couldn't believe her luck... She could've been completely aware of this beforehand, could have even tried to leave before the invasion... But, it seemed fate wanted her here once more... Unfortunate, honestly... Calvin must be so worried...

"... Yes, what you say holds truth as well." she'd say simply. The last time she tried showing initiative, she did rather awful and rash things. She wasn't quite ready to return too such a thought pattern. Maybe she'd be alright if she did, but there was the chance she wouldn't be and that chance scared her.

"Oh, nothing... You just look familiar for some reason. Sorry." said the furisode wearing girl. Why did he remind her of someone? Hm... Maybe it was just how strange he was. That could possibly be it... He was kind of like a video character or something... She used to play a lot of those, that could be why.

He would give her a slight look, scratching the back of his neck. ‘’Relying on pure luck is quite unpredictable.’’ Sometimes, it may help unexpectedly…and other times, it might end up being the worst decision you’ve ever made. Then again, he didn’t even know what she was all about. Perhaps she believed she was strong enough to face anything that she might accidentally bump into? That was certainly a possibility.

He supposed ‘last time’ referred to two years ago, which would suggest she might have some experience. Alas, she wasn’t going into detail, so he had nothing to follow. ‘’Anyway, don’t know how much you’ll find over here at the moment. Aside from the obvious. Maybe the other side has more answers, but who knows….’’, he’d remark, half-talking to himself. It was sort of true that there was little to go on at the moment. Not including the big ‘parties’ basically everyone knew about. If it weren’t for the demons and the rally, it might have actually looked fairly peaceful.

‘’Hm. Well, it probably didn’t make that much of a difference anyway……’’
It happened whether you heard about it or not, and those little tidbits of info weren’t hard to come by in general. Something like that is hard to hide, and why would anyone attempt to do so anyway? It was quite pointless. If anything the focus would be on hiding the more subtle things that were going on. Wasn’t it usually like that? The biggest fireworks could just as well be simply for the show. Not that they meant nothing, but they often overshadowed other problems that were just as dangerous, if not even more.

…was that it? She seemed to be showing a mostly non-confrontational attitude. Perhaps that’s what made him feel odd about her. He was never quite sure what to do with people that were along the lines of ‘oh, okay’, and ‘yes, sure’, plus any synonyms towards almost anything. Well then. He’d shrug slightly, before moving on. ‘’Is that so? I don’t think there are many people who look anything like me….’’ Honestly, he didn’t know. If he for some reason knew her, then she must have changed a great deal. He wasn’t very forgetful to be honest, but when something is way too different, then it can happen.

Relying on luck may be indeed foolish... But it was all she had right now. Honestly, what more could be said? It wasn't like she could make a plan at the moment with what little she knew. If luck chose to smile upon her, then she'd find hope in the fact she'd stumble upon something. Regardless, she didn't really feel the need too defend herself. It was indeed a foolish action, but what more could one ask for?

"Well, I can't say these events tend to be predictable. Might as well go with the flow and see what Lady Luck has in store for me." she'd say with a light smile. That was that... She honestly wished she had a plan of some sorts, something to go off of something to do... But, with so little information and an obvious lack of want to go into the water, what more could she honestly do? Right now, the other islands seemed like the best course of action, and honestly, Penecia just felt... Right, in a way.

"I expected as much... San Malarus didn't tend to be the wellspring of abundant knowledge last time... Although, that angel helped a decent bit... You think she's still around or do you think we're on our own this time?" she'd ask with a tilt too her head. That was a thought she hadn't thought of... She knew for a fact that angel wasn't bound too the same laws as Asha is... But, hope was all she had concerning that. Regardless, if there as another figure like Angel present, that could be helpful... She supposed the best place to look would be at the tower, but she didn't exactly wish to got here either... If the minister was currently there, she didn't exactly wish too confront her... That and the possible plethora of other people surrounding her right now. No one stayed unarmed in times like these.

"No... I don't believe so, honestly... Fate seems to love me being trapped on these islands..." she'd say with a light sigh, glancing around idly. These islands seemed to almost be a prison of some sorts. Though, it didn't overly matter. She was here and now she'd make the best of the situation at hand.

"Well, yes. That makes sense. Sorry, I may have mistaken you for... I don't know, a video game character?" she'd say with a light blush. She felt somewhat embarrassed for confessing that... She didn't exactly know why, either. Just because? Who knew...

Hmm. ''I suppose so. Do you have any goal though?'' He couldn't deny that things were hard to predict just yet, but even when relying on luck, it was still good to have an idea of what you're after. Although, he'd figure most people's answer would be that they want to stop whatever is happening. That was kind of the classic answer in a situation like this. Aside from a few exceptions.

He would chuckle faintly. He was pretty sure last time didn't quite matter. At least, not for determining the location of important places. Besides, there was information to be found here last time too, if you knew how to look. It always comes down to what you actually manage to figure out. ''This is something completely else. I wouldn't compare it to what was last time too much. Even if there is a connection, I doubt it would be as straightforward as that.'', he would give her a somewhat amused glance. ''As for the Angels, I'm pretty sure they are all gone. They have been since back then.'' It was unlikely they would come back after how it all ended.

He would raise an eyebrow. ''You sound like you don't enjoy being here in the first place.'' If that was so, why was she here anyway? As for being trapped...well, he wouldn't know, but perhaps there was a way to leave? You don't know until you try. It would be odd for there to be something literally preventing that, although the presence of demons and whatnot would make it harder to get away.

Um, okay? He'd give her an odd look though. A video game character wouldn't just be walking on the streets, so why would one actually make such a connection? Ah well. ''I don't quite follow that, but if you say so....'' What do you say to that? Besides, he hardly played video games, so he had literally no idea.

A goal... Oh, what exactly was her plan of action? Besides attempting to help people... There wasn't much else she could feasibly do, alone that is. She could always see if she could tag along with this man, but after saying she'd follow her heart blindly... He may think poorly of her. After all, she was under at least some suspicion by him. It wouldn't do to tempt that to bud even more.

"I'm not quite sure, to be honest. I wasn't sure last time, and I don't know if I'm sure this time. I guess the text book answer is to stop this invasion, however, I'm no fool to think I can do that single handed. Honestly... Possibly try and find someone who's goal I can follow and aid them. I'm not much of a fighter, to be honest. I do better in the back lines... Though, who to trust is the biggest question..." she'd say with a gentle sigh, her hand returning to its former position of covering her mouth. What to do... Who to trust... It was all quite confusing. She could do it though... She had faith in her heart, to put it bluntly. She'd find someone eventually...

"I thought as much... It was worth asking though. You never know what one might find out by asking the questions that first come to mind." she'd say with a nod of her head. Honestly, what else could she ask? With what little she knew, and what little this man knew... It wasn't like asking him tons of questions would lead to anything but his annoyance.

"I... Had a difficult time last I was here... It brings back a lot of bad memories... Especially this island..." she'd shiver at the memory of what she had done. The lack of empathy terrified her too this day. To think she was capable of such a heartless act... Acts, honestly... It didn't matter now though. She was different, changed. That was in the past and it could stay in the past. That was all that was too it.

"S-Sorry... I probably shouldn't say the first thing that comes to mind when concerning people..." she'd say, her blush still present. Well, that was a guaranteed way to embarrass one's self. At least he didn't seem to be offended, just slightly confused. What more could she honestly ask for coming from what she said?

''Well, that's something you'll have to decide yourself. Trust is a subjective matter after all. I'd say trust yourself first, and then think about following someone, but in the end, it's your call.'' Adopting someone else's goal when you don't have any vision of your own can backfire on you. Then again, maybe it actually suited some people? It wouldn't be the first time. He has seen people do that before, as easy as it is to get misguided by others when you happen to put too much trust in the wrong person in hopes of aiding something at least.

''Maybe...'' You can never know in general. Random questions can be as fruitful as they can be useless. There wasn't much to argue on this point. It's always a hit or miss when you don't have anything to properly bounce off of. He could have lied too, and she wouldn't have known. So yes, you can find out a lot of things, but you won't know how correct they are. He'd sigh faintly. ''If your memories are that bad, maybe you shouldn't have come here. It's disturbing enough that those who live here all the time are getting dragged into the mess.'' Many people don't deserve to be caught up in some struggle of forces at all.

He would shrug lightly. ''It's still better than lying? It's not like you went and purposefully attempted to offend me. You don't have to apologize.'' He was confused, sure, but he didn't want to keep distressing her just because of that. That was hardly on his agenda. Even though at this point he was somewhat wondering just what kind of video game character could he even resemble. He found it extremely unlikely.

Yes... This was all too true of a statement. She knew the full forth of misplaced trust... After all, she had tricked a friend into placing her trust in the corrupted ideals she made for herself. If anything, that was the last thing she wanted to do. But... Then again, it wasn't like she was an idiot. she could find things out by herself even when aiding someone. Just because she was helping them didn't mean she had her own voice.

"Yes, I know. I thank you for your words though. They don't land on deaf ears." she'd say simply enough. She respected this man, he was smart. Though, whether he was trustworthy was still up in the air. His appearance alone made him slightly questionable... Kind of... She couldn't shake the feeling she knew him though... Odd.

"I had wished to make amends... To rid my self of the horrors of the last event... Finally and properly say good bye to this place... Seems like they want me to suffer again, though... Oh well, I can only grow from an experience like this, I suppose. I did last time, in a way." she'd say with a light nod. Did she grow from last time? In a way, yes. She obviously stopped caring about what others thought of her, specifically her parents. She had dashed the fake facades, became a person she was proud of and loved. However, at what cost? Going insane wasn't exactly something she had enjoyed... It wasn't something she accepted. That person wasn't her anymore... So why acknowledge it? Tsk, she wondered...

"Yes... I feel horrible for them... They didn't deserve this event or the last. I wish these islands to find peace soon." was her response to that. She frowned behind her sleeve, her hidden mouth frowning. What if Mallory still lived here? The mere thought made her shutter. She couldn't imagine her handling a situation like this ever again.

"I-I suppose you're right... Though, I'm still sorry none the less..." she'd say with a firm nod. She felt as if she did something wrong, and an apology was needed. That was her stance in this. Though... Did here mind her of a video game character? Hm...
