Well, this day was a bust too. She really needs to stop opening her shop on weekdays. Nori had just finished tying her tent shut when she turned around and saw... Pandemonium.
First she noticed it was darker out then normal... The sky was violet, like it was approaching twilight, when she knew it was only mid-afternoon. But she was drawn away from the darker sky, with fewer lights, to the glowing, frothing water.
Like many others, Nori was struck dumbfounded as she stared at the phenomena with some sort of rapt trance, but to her this was familiar, not in the sense that she herself has witnessed these events personally. But that she has learned of things similar to them, from both accounts of events from a few years ago, as well as her own independent occult research online and among the masses of Azores. This was probably why she managed to break free from staring slack jawed at what was happening when the waters began to rise and form something akin to a wall about the islands.
It was then that she, along with several others, saw things break through the water and rapidly descend on the lands... Thought the objects moved rapidly, she was able to pick out details, here and there... Wings, horns, claws, fangs.
Demons.
Demons were invading the island.
