The Biography

Part/Full Time Job: Works as an Idol in the city for fun, though her popularity isn’t immense yet, but she is getting somewhere. There are some people who praise her as their idol in the city, though, that is at least for sure.
Appearance:
Shiina stands at around 5’6.5 feet of height and weighs a fair amount, at 125 pounds. Like pretty much all Tsurinai, she has dyed silver hair (normally blonde), which she wears in a short crop cut that reaches the base of her neck. In regards to eyes, hers have a light blue color, being fairly round and large. Shiina can be considered attractive because of her figure, as she has a well-defined body for a 19-year old, with the curves you’d expect from someone at that age, as well as a medium-sized chest; in short, she has matured normally. Her face is almost always bearing a soft smile, showing that she is at ease, while her eyes are open and attentive, showing that she is always alert. Just as well, Shiina wears the least makeup she can, but she does like getting herself ready in the morning, with the usual things; instead of lipstick, though, she wears chapstick. It isn’t a stretch to say that the Tsurinai is careful about her appearance, such that she does not need makeup most of the time.
As for clothing, the silvernette prefers to wear what one would expect from a student: a uniform, composed of a white blazer with the Seven Stars Academy emblem on its chest, a white dress shirt underneath, a blue tie, and a blue checkered short skirt, plus black thigh-high socks and black dress shoes. When not at school, though, Shiina can vary her style wildly, but she prefers one single set of clothing over all. In the streets, the Tsurinai likes to put on a purple light sleeveless blouse, a white hoodie lined with fake fur on the inside, white short socks and a pair of white dance shoes.

Even another set of clothing she tends to wear is her cadet uniform, composed of a black striped dress shirt with a white collar and similarly colored bell-like folds at the end of its sleeves, a short black skirt with a small bit of a circular apron on its front, black leggings and her regular black dress shoes. She also wears a pair of fingerless black gloves and styles her hair differently when she is on the job, wearing it in a messier manner with two braids on the front, as well as with a frilled white headband.

Personality://”You want to know about me? Well...”// To say the very least, Shiina is a sweetheart. She is kind to most, willing to help anyone, even those she doesn’t really know; and those that she does know, she treats with an unwavering friendship. It isn’t a stretch to say that she is motherly either, the silvernette can come across as blunt when she finds the need to lecture someone, but it is for their own good, as instead of only reprimanding them, she will find ways to help them get better.
Aside from that, for some reason, Shiina seems to have an abundant charisma, being able to develop her own social skills in a manner that most wouldn’t be able to come close to, but she is not incredible just because of that. Her charisma comes from her kindness and appeal, people are able to feel safer when she is around, because the Tsurinai is able to shift her attitude to fit most all people and discover how they like being treated. Once she figures that out, she is able to appeal to them in a wider range, even being able to capture a small group of people with her idol work already. Mostly, her ability to treat people as they like being treated is her charisma, and such entices those people to trust her more, but it always needs some work before she can fully adapt herself to someone.
Just as well, being a Tsurinai, Shiina has learned from the best teachers and was trained by the best trainers... but that doesn’t mean anything without showing it. She regularly studies and trains her body to become the best she can be, and while she is neither a genius nor a master by any means, the silvernette constantly strives for it regardless. As such, she is smart, but if something is asked from her that she has not studied or doesn’t remember, she will not be able to answer it. In short, Shiina is a model student, but not a walking Encyclopedia Britannica as some others claim to be. Her knowledge comes from repeated demonstration of hard work developing it, just like her aptitude with her knives in combat.
Another facet of her being a Tsurinai is her education when it comes to the supernatural. She has been taught in the basics of the subject as well as the more in-depth points of it. She knows what Shadows, Demons and Personae are from the start, but is naturally unable to recognize the difference between a Tainted and Initial one. When it comes to her views on the subject, she is... iffy, to say the least. Shiina would much rather have everyone stay away from the supernatural as a whole, but this world will not permit it, so she instead attempts to take it into her own hands to defend the people as a cadet. Unlike her cousin, Naito, she is not specialized for this, as she is not an officer for the Tsurinai Group as of yet, but she is still privy to this side of the world.
The Potential
Strengths:
—Strength Name://”Don’t try to do everything on your own!”// —Description: Shiina doesn’t believe in the concept of a lone wolf, so she tends to rely on her closest companion and employee, Jakob, to do some things for her. In Endymion, she can assign Jakob to one single consistent duty for the rest of the plot, him taking that role and freeing it up for Shiina to not have to do it. Though, with the nature of the events in Endymion and their requirements, this strength can only apply to gardening, and Shiina must first purchase a plot before Jakob can be assigned to take care of it for her. This cannot be revoked and simply makes gardening a free action during a day, unless the NPC disappears by IC means.
—Strength Name://”The Tsurinai Way!”// —Description: Shiina did not get where she is through simple talent. She is a hard worker that will spend any time she finds useful to develop on her skills, including studying, training with Jakob with her knives, even her singing and dancing. As a club leader, she needs to work more than most others, after all. This strength is simply a personality strength that allows her to better justify gaining points towards a social quality. Shiina demonstrates this if she is found in the library or with her club’s sessions. Due to the nature of this strength, as it regards hard work in order to make herself better at something specific, it makes it easier to grow in Intelligence.
—Strength Name://”Always be on your best behavior. Be polite and make sure people like you. You don’t want to not be liked, do you?”// —Description: When speaking with people, Shiina has an uncanny ability to be able to perceive how they like being treated from a few conversations. She can adapt her stance towards someone to make them more comfortable, and in turn like her more. She wishes for everyone to be happy, and though this counts as a slight deception, Shiina believes that her own efforts should be used to make others happy, and not the other way around. It is part of the reason she is an idol, after all, to inspire hope in the hearts of the people.
—Strength Name://”Do I need to use these...?”// —Description: Unlike many others, Shiina possesses a pair of revolvers as her gun weapon. She uses two long white chain revolvers to fight, and as such can wield them in tandem with the other. The guns themselves each have half of the regular ammo capacity for a gun but she is able to fire them together at once. In PvS, this lets her shoot twice with her revolver weapon, consuming the appropriate amount of ammo for each shot, while in PvP, this lets her better chain her gun combos by using two weapons instead of one.
—Strength Name://”These eyes aren’t just for the stage, you know?”// —Description: Despite her not exactly enjoying combat, Shiina’s eyesight is actually phenomenal for just that. She has near perfect eyesight, being able to notice many minute details without getting up close. In combat, this fits in with her weapon of choice, her throwing knives, as she can accurately pinpoint where the enemy will be vulnerable or, if they are moving, make her able to actually accurately hit them. This strength simply removes one number from any enemy’s dodge chance. For example, if the enemy is 20 luck above Shiina, this strength will make it so that difference doesn’t show in her miss chance. Of course, as this pertains to her eyesight, only attacks made with her throwing knives count for it.

—Weakness Name://”...they’re charging you how much for a Heart Tomato?”// —Description: Despite Jakob being able to take Shiina’s place in gardening, it seems they... end up charging more for that specifically. To buy actual seeds for gardening, Shiina has to pay 20% more than the usual, making it so she ends up spending more money on it than anyone else, but she wastes no time actually taking care of it himself, freeing up her time. Regardless, any listed items for gardening cost 20% more VC to buy, whatever they are.
—Weakness Name://”The Tsurinai... way...”// —Description: Despite Shiina being incredibly proud of her name, she always knew she was adopted, and not an actual Tsurinai. This leads to a real insecurity the girl has, where she simply can’t be enough to reach the level she is expected to reach because her blood will not let her. If someone brings this up and actually massacres her psyche with this argument, her Courage level will immediately be nullified for any subsequent actions, until she recovers. This must be shown inRP, and is up to the DM whether the actions justify this drop. The argument can be overcome through development, and Shiina will eventually be able to resist it more effectively, but this also is up to the DM to judge.
—Weakness Name://”It’s hard to say, but... girls in general aren’t as physically strong as boys.”// —Description: Shiina, despite training, has a feminine frame that is not completely fit for combat. While she is lithe and healthy, she isn’t any stronger than the average girl, or any more resilient. Instead, she is a bit more fragile than her peers, taking 15% more damage from physical Strike skills. In PvP, this makes her easier to knock away with actual physical moves, like punches or kicks, as she is also a fairly light person in terms of weight, but her Persona helps her keep her balance in the case of skills.
—Weakness Name://”I... don’t know what you’re talking about.”// —Description: Shiina can recognize the wrongdoings of the government when they are presented to her, but her loyalty makes her unable to accept them completely. She may be called naïve or simply foolish, but not being loyal would take away her only chance to actually make people happy. She isn’t willing to risk that. To Shiina, loyalty is above all else, and even if she believes and acknowledges that some government executives and area leaders are wrong fundamentally, she will not waver in her alignment.
—Weakness Name://”Nippon is beautiful, yes, but maybe I should start working on getting better at other languages...”// —Description: Shiina’s mother tongue is naturally Japanese, and while she is fluent in English, she has a very... distinct accent when trying to speak it. She has a tick where she tends to introduce Japanese expressions and words into her phrases, or say a line in Japanese before translating it into English. This can be annoying but more than that, it is a clear sign of where she comes from, making anyone able to know just by hearing her that she is not native to Endymion.

Weapon Name: //Luna Dial ~ Lunar Clock// Weapon Description: Luna Dial is a set of 5 ranged throwing knives, each being the same length, at fifteen centimeters of blade plus an extra ten of handle. They are styled like simple throwing knives, with a black ergonomic handle and a double-edged, pointy blade. Shiina can throw these up to five meters away before they disappear, with varying accuracy related to the distance the target is from her. She carries these knives in a holster under her skirt when they’re summoned. It’s noteworthy to say that, in PvS, Shiina can only throw one of the knives at a time, their actual number is just made for better handling in PvP.

Side-Arm Name: //SKT-003 Bolverk// Side-Arm Description: A pair of white long chain revolvers made in a cubic fashion, being around 30 centimeters in barrel length with a ten-centimeter (of arc) handle. Its color palette is composed of whites, grays and reds, and it is somewhat studded on the bottom of each barrel. The weapons can be fired either by pulling their trigger, or clicking the hammer on each of them. They, as expected, have fairly long range, being a gun (around 1800 meters, according to the maximum 9mm handgun effective range).

History://”Well, where should I even start? I was born somewhere in Japan, around the Fukuoka Prefecture, according to my ryoushin. My birth parents died before I could form memories, unfortunately, and it didn’t seem as if my adoptive parents knew them either, but that is fine. I was adopted into the Tsurinai family when I was about two years old, though I can’t say I enjoyed it much. It was challenging to suddenly be part of such a high-class family, I do not know what potential my parents saw in me, but I at least tried to make them proud... before I met my itoko, Mikiana, I let my hair stay normal, as blonde, but it was better that I dyed it afterwards.”//
//”As I grew up, I tended to not really be viewed in the most favorable light by my family... honestly, it was a bit off-putting and I kind of developed a little... inferiority complex because of it. But I did have a few who did not care, like Mikiana’s ani, Naito-san. He and I used to train together because of family tradition, and though he was a bit rough, I liked how he treated me as an equal, as opposed to someone that didn’t belong. Really, he was the one who made it bearable to stay there. When I was around ten years old, my parents hired a young man from the extended kazoku to attend to me personally, as my butler. I never really heard what was going on behind the scenes from then on, so I have no idea whether my parents still suffered from their decision... but even then, I can’t stop doing what I was already dedicating myself to, right?”//

The name Joker for the NPC. Perhaps change it since that is a name of a NPC on the list for Endyimon. It will be less confusing this way. I would suggest this change for all instance of the name Joker in your app.

I am iffy about due to the nature of the mechanic. I can see it lessening the chances of a miss, but to null the difference out completely is a bit too much in my opinion. And without a weakness to counter this, I am afraid I’ll have to ask you to tweak this to make it more balanced.
On your weapon, 10 meters is quite the distance. Perhaps lessen it to make it more realistic. I can see if this was a gun being fired or it shot from a bow, but a human throwing this far without a strength to back up is not going in my book.
On your side arm you mention a range? What is the range for these guns?
History: The only thing I found was minor. I saw where she was close Naito, but how did she become close to his sisters? I thought everyone else didn’t care for her in the household outside of him. It is a minor thing, but I was just curious.
Tweak these things and I can approve you.

First off, that strength only takes out one extra number, it doesn't null out the difference completely past the first one, and it does have a weakness to counter it, here:

Alright. I can see that balancing each other, but just to make sure I am on the same page as you with the numbers. If the enemy has 20 luck over you, in normal circumstances it will get twice the chance to hit you. So what you are saying is that when it is rolled (let's say for fire), instead of having the two chances of hitting you the strength nulls it back down to the 1 chance of hitting you correct? Or if in the case it had four chances of hitting it is knocked down to three? Am I understanding this right?

Which social quality does this boost? Charisma?

I'm iffy about this strength aswell. Are you saying only dex attacks using these throwing knives will remove the number or all attacks? I can pass it if you're limiting yourself to just your throwing knives allowing you to deal with faster opponents, but not all attacks.

By all physical attacks, you mean slash/pierce/bash or actual physical attacks such as a punch or kick? If you change the above strength, I think you should nerf this weakness to where it's only one form of physical attack, not all of them.
Everything else looks fine.

Okay, since your strength is based around PvS aswell, your weakness needs to be. So have it so you take 15% more damage from one of the physical elements here, and you're approved.
