| It seemed that just for this day, the people of Parangelia had gathered themselves up and left work for another time, as they all neatly assembled in one of the minor castles left in the colony. It was supposed to be a big party, but a heavy silence loomed over all. All of the people were antsy, impatient, they wanted to get these events done and over with so they could focus on getting back to their work, and perhaps find a way to leave and rise up the tower... but this is where they were.Even the scenery stood silent, without animation, even though some noises came from inside. People were whispering between each other and gossiping, making plans, deciding what to do for work in the coming days. Such that nobody seemed to be paying attention to a little spectacle being held at a stage, a curtain drawn while lights pointed to it. It showed three figures, one dressed as a knight, one as a princess and the last as some kind of ninja figure. It was fairly action-packed, despite it all, and was truly the highlight of the celebration for those who cared.Yet things seemed off... just as it was apparently obvious, a noise rung through everyone inside the castle's ears as gallant footsteps came from the stage. At each side stood two armed guards, each with a spear drawn at their side and a large oblong shield. The figure stepped up to an erect podium, recent from the looks of it, no doubt put up while everyone was looking away. But everyone in the celebration recognize who the person was."Good people of Parangelia, I am sure you are all quite unsatisfied with us Maidens taking time off your schedules for something as selfish as this. Rest assured, your lives will return to normal just as they do every year, this is not a new event by any means, but it lets me announce some things publicly. My sister and I have been directly working with the science division and I am pleased to announce that we are making incredibly significant progress in Magic Research, soon able to reach mass production points. Yes, this means that in the near future, you too will be able to stand against the creatures that threaten our existence in this world, the Sfalma. It is no coincidence I wanted you all to be here today. It has been long enough since we started relying on these barriers, they are an affront to freedom, so with this new technology, we will soon be able to step out and claim Erisia, as we rightfully should!" The woman's words were filled with passion, and they riled the hearts of the masses strongly enough for most to start cheering enthusiastically. Their will was restored and their desire to work for this goal had doubled. Parangelia would certainly speak of this event for days. But some still had doubts, it seemed, as the rare few that did not cheer stood with a frown, muttering things under their breath like "phony" and "what a scam". Was this some discord between the people? Well, regardless of what it was, the seemingly positive aura of the inside of the castle brought a satisfied smirk to Kalos' face. She would need to thank Keno for that speech later.

| So, it was almost over, wasn't it? Frankly, Samael had nothing specific against this whole holiday, but it did seem a little useless in general. Most people weren't very enthused about it, so it barely gave the impression of being an actual holiday in the end. What good did it do for them to stand around in silence, as if this was some boring trial, rather than a supposed celebration. It does make the whole deal a bit pointless when the people themselves aren't really enjoying it. Technically, it only makes this an entertainment for the Maiden this way, because the people would rather be elsewhere from the looks of it.
He would look towards the show on the stage briefly. Not many people seemed to be paying attention to it, although it didn't appear to be a bad performance. Alas, this place was probably not a good choice for events like this. He would turn his gaze towards the figure that walked out not so long after. Interesting. So this was basically about...future fighting. Why wasn't he surprised? It went along with the mentality here. Even though it might be useful in case it was actually true, and they did find some new ways.
''This doesn't really give the vibe of a celebration....''

| This whole event made her angry honestly, this took all of her time from running through the tower, and she mostly found herself holding a full conversation with Mimic. The bag liked talking when around her sister, mostly because it actually knew how to speak like her. Her sister was cheerful, watching the festivities with a smile on her face. 'Look at the pretty colors!' The voice as usual seemed to resemble that of her sisters, which caught her off guard sometimes. She'd take her fist and hit the bag harder, groaning a bit. "Will you shut up?" Max looked back quickly, before noticing that her sister was only talking to her handbag again. "Vivi Look! It's the Maiden!" Without hesitation, Vivian did look up to see the woman, trying to listen to everything she said. So they were coming up with a way for people to fight? That was handy, but Viv had been there for awhile and doing it by herself. Being probably one of the first experiments for the shadow separation process. Were they going to start doing that more now or were they coming up with other ways of doing this? "Vivi! Did you hear her? This means one day I might get to fight by your side!" She smiled a bit, but then had a slightly stern face. "Sorry sis, you're not allowed to enter that tower any time soon. You're better off at home where you're safe." Max let out a sad noise but then looked back towards where the Maiden was. And didn't she just have a conversation with someone about this a few days prior? Of course she was happy that they were doing something about this, but she still felt a bit off about it. "I just hope this ends soon so I can get out in the field." It could go bad but it could also be good, only one way to find out what would really happen. | |

| Surprisingly, Seek was trying to hide the tinkle in his eye when it came to the performances. Even as a child this was something that Seek looked forward to. Another reason why he was so fond of this day of rest was because it was the only time that his parents didn't work, and they actually gathered as a family. He would see his father smile about something that wasn't work related, his mother would take the rest of the day off and make Seek a nice home cooked meal. The days of a child was all he could reminisce at this moment, trying to capture an essence that wasn't really there anymore he got older. " I come here every single time, and yet......"
Seek's train of thought was altered by the rupturing sound going through his ears, instantly upsetting him. It was the more the noise and less the person. "The maiden...." Seek would say to himself as he folded his arms and watched with a neutral expression. Seek's face became more morbrid as they continued to speak of the barrier soon lowering because of the magical tech advances of the science department. What did that really mean? If everyone can use magic, does it mean that it was fair game toward the specific individuals that can fight? Even putting children on the front line? Seek was all fore expanding and seeing beyond the walls of safety, but such a dramatic change wasn't fit for everyone. If this was to go through, did they have options? | |

| The castle in the colony, it was such a beautiful sight, and in it, everybody had finally gathered for the birthday of the two maidens. The man, dressed casually in his sweatshirt, looked more like someone getting ready to run a few laps around the town than someone who came to an important event. The first thing the man noticed upon entering was the usual lack of enthusiasm. He never liked these people for being so unwilling to do anything but their work. A man needed a break now and then! He stopped for a moment at the entrance, looking left and right to maybe notice one or both of the boys he had met just yesterday. They seemed different from the others, and since he was already banned from selling hot dogs at the celebration, he really had nothing better to do. Besides, they were interesting. Maybe he could take them in as disciples, hmhmhm!
Anyhow, after a short while of searching without getting anywhere, he started walking around through the sea of people, eyeing each one with a raised brow as he observed their unwillingness to participate in the festivities, when the stage finally caught his attention, and captured it. Ah, the performing arts! While not as complex as culinary arts and certainly not as demanding as martial arts, they still held their charm. Especially if the play was good. An interesting move, odd almost, by the maiden. He had to applaud her for at least trying to make people do something other than looking over their papers for the 598th time. He also had to applaud the actors, and so he did, his clapping echoing through the hall (which wasn't really hard, as nobody was making any noise, except for him).
It wasn't long after that the maiden finally showed herself. Ironfist had by then already left the immediate area around the stage and went on to mingle with whoever was ready to chat for a while. Surprisingly, he found several people, and got to laugh a bit with them. Interesting, was it not? Back on track, he looked towards the stage as he heard the noise of the maiden approaching through the whispering atmosphere of the crowd. His smiled as he watched the woman climb on the pedestal. It was time for a birthday speech, was it not?
It began regularly, nothing strange about it, however, as the maiden moved on with the speech, it became apparent what this was all about. "Hmmm..." The speech wasn't what he expected, but it wasn't surprising either, now that it happened. The government was, of course, planning on taking the tower and breaking through the walls of the colonies. He, honestly, was against this kind of approach, and it showed on his face and the way he grunted as the speech ended. They should be spending their budgets on educating the young, rather than building tools of war for them to utilize! Alas, that was just how it was and was always going to be, the best example was the enthusiasm most of the people were showing over the idea.
The man still clapped the maiden away with the rest of the crowd, as the festivities were about to move on ~ | |

| Gabriel puffed a small cloud of smoke away from the crowd, which brought a nearby pair of eyes to look at him crossly, to which he would raise an eyebrow and sneer, which seemed to turn the onlooker away. Looks like he was a fanatic too. He didn't hold love for the Maidens exactly, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't respect them. To have all their power and resources able to do what they did was something to be admired. But that thought of gratification almost immediately turned sour in his head, as it was only because they were at the top. They were "special", so they got the hot seats. Who wouldn't be a little envious of their positions? Not to mention the people who lived here had to watch while the small few got to work and advance everyone else. For some reason he just didn't like the sound of that, following behind someone else's heels. But nonetheless, he at least came by to pay respects to them. He watched a couple enjoy themselves, but merely walked towards the stage to get a better look. Lowering the barriers eh? Well, it would be something Gabriel was for, for personal reasons of course. He wanted to go out there himself, and maybe find traces of something he once lost. So in a way, while he was a little grumpy, he was in fact deeply interested in what the Maiden had to say and where she planned to go from here. After all, advancement was surely something to be proud of right? | |

| As Samael Ryer continued watching the event play out, he would feel a great presence appear by his side, in a way that seemed as if he was there all along. Should he turn, he would find the man he had met before, standing there, watching the speech calmly."It is apparent, the people are riled up and impatient at the prospect of earning freedom, yet there are those who doubt this chance among the crowd, and even those who are questioning the methods which will be used." The Faceless God could tell the masses' feelings just from a glance, but despite this ability, he seemed to only be connected to this one young man. Samael Ryer only would see Nyarlathotep, and should he speak to him, the others would not notice.
"Ryer, what are your thoughts on this? The masses are happy but the few are doubtful. Kalosini Dahlia is a Maiden that is not wasting any time; I have only wonder how her sister is faring by keeping her citizens caged inside these colonies." Nyarlathotep did not mince words, he was well and truly interested in these events, but for causes unknown. What did Samael think of this? Furthermore, why did the God appear to him and only him?
--- Meanwhile, Seek Suigami would feel someone brush up against his shoulder slightly, being bumped by the large crowd. If he turned to face the person, they would find a young man, frowning in distaste at this whole thing. He would soon turn to Seek, though, raising a hand up as a quick apology."Sorry, man, people these days... Honestly, with how much they ignore everyone else like this, no wonder they want to just leave this place. It's annoying." The young man wasn't really talking to anyone in particular, just mouthing off. Though he apologized to Seek, it was clear that he had to get that little thing off his chest as his frown lightened afterwards, himself only turning at the podium again.
--- Kalos herself, though, stepped off the stage gracefully, reaching into the shorts underneath her flowing dress and retrieving a bright pink device that she flipped open... and as she did, her satisfied face quickly turned into a frown as she stopped in place. Anyone who looked outside could tell that the previously fairly sunny weather was turning dark with clouds obscuring the light. It would be like this for now, but they still had a chance to talk to each other or with other people... though they would be mostly ignored, at this rate, everyone was either busy cheering for the idea with a group of mates, or standing off to the side badmouthing Kalos. | |

| Samael continued to watch the event unfold...well, if it could be called that, aside from the speech which was frankly the most attention worthy part of this whole 'celebration'. People here in Parangelia didn't have much of a festive spirit. That much was obvious. It was almost a wonder as to why the Maiden bothered doing this, when it was apparent that many citizens would rather be elsewhere, and doing their business instead of standing here. Soon enough, he was distracted by an appearance beside him, at which point he would turn to look that way. ''Are you here to observe?'' He did remember this man from not so long ago, and while he still wasn't exactly sure what to make of this, it didn't mean he couldn't ask. Better to know than not.
He would listen to the words spoken. Well, it did seem that way. But there would always be someone that disagrees with a given plan. Whether such an opinion is correct, or not. Was it right to suddenly try barging outside? There was no easy answer. It sounded like a brave idea, but would it also be a successful venture? That was something that could not be confirmed from the Maiden's words, and could easily be one of the reasons why people might be skeptical. New ways, yes, but it could still be a danger, on top of possibly disrupting the lives people were used to by now. ''These new technologies aren't something people here have actually tried out yet. Several probably don't like the prospect of suddenly changing their everyday lives they are already used to just for a possibility like this. The people will always be divided between the two options. Not everyone is going to settle down for everything the Maiden comes up with all of a sudden.'' How could they know this was the right way to go? There was no proof right now, therefore no solid reason to be utterly faithful to what is being said. Although, what was the man's deal with all this? Did he show up just to watch this, and question him...?
...or maybe it was that something was happening. The sudden change of weather somehow didn't seem like good news in this situation. First a daring speech, then he got company, and now this. Something was up, but so far, Samael couldn't tell what it was.... | |

| Hmm?” Seek looked over and noticed the young man that was brushing upon him, unable to make out who this person was. It was a good chance that it was a patron of the event that was pretty riled up because of what the goddess just said. Seek wasn’t content with the fact of the matter at hand, but it was due to the fact that he lacked any more information than he was given. However, he did lend an ear to the young man that talked among himself. Seek instinctively answered, but he didn’t really know why. “They have a tough job, think they care about each and everyone’s feelings as an individual or as a whole. As long as the majority goes with what they desire, the majority is all that exists to them, not sam, not kate, not pally. I’ll never know how it feels to be in charge of so many people at once, who would want that? No one would be satisfied ”
Seek would say as he looked forward and then noticed the clouds. A sudden weather change, I didn’t read that in the forecast today? Is this scientists department testing their findings?” The itch to investigate was gnawing at Seek’s feet, but he forced himself to stay put for a little while longer. | |

| Gabriel watches as others gathered the scene. He took a moment to take one more puff before getting rid of it. He watched the skies begin to fade into a strange weather. Not entirely new, though it almost spelled a kind of bad omen. Rain on what is supposed to be a festival? "It's like bad luck has a way of finding me...." he said to himself. He wondered if he would lose a bet later or if he would get less sleep. Wasn't nice at all. | |

| Vivian kept her eyes on the sky, watching it intently as it changed. She'd take her eyes off of it for a second to see the Maiden pull out some device, and afterwards she didn't look so happy. What could she know? Viv could think of a few things that could happen, but nothing sounded good with her sister being there. "Hey sis? Can you go find your friend and hang with his family until this is over? And remember if-" Max spun around and cut her sister off, smiling a bit. "If I run into any trouble I need to run, I got it Vivi." She laughed a bit before moving through the crowd towards her friend that wasn't too far from where they were. Once her sister was in a secure spot, Vivian would start to move through the crowd, looking for any signs while trying to get to the front. She gripped her weapon slightly, hoping that it didn't mean she had to fight now of all times. | |

| With nothing much to do and the crowd too busy cheering and mumbling, Ironfist opted to just stand around for a while. As he did so, his train of thought slowly but surely strayed from the topic of what the maiden had said and onto coming up with new ideas to get people to buy more hot dogs, and how it was a shame he couldn't sell them here, with the whole crowd that was bound to become hungry at some point. He still stayed as alert as always.
The looping mental discussion with himself over how to make use of the new kid he employed was, however, suddenly halted when an itch ran down the back of his head, and he knew something was happening. The itch surprised him, and when he scratched himself, he noticed that the sky had grown dark. "..." He looked up, hands still crossed. Was it going to rain? Something told him it wasn't going to be that simple, though. | |

| "You could say... I'm here to get you started." Nyarlathotep stepped forward in front of Samael and put a hand on his sheathed sword, his other reaching and pulling away his white mask, a single amber eye looking back at the young man, before smirking lightly and completely drawing his sword."Watch carefully, Samael Ryer!" The man dashed forward, at people who he had previously seen doubting the Maidens, before taking his red blade and slicing through them like butter. It would not pierce their body, but should Samael look, he would see many copies of the man do the same in many different directions... even going towards two specific individuals.
Gabriel Labas would suddenly feel a great force cut from his left hip to his right shoulder, enough to send him to his knees if he wasn't prepared, but he would not be able to see any blood coming from the cut. Instead, what he felt was a pounding headache, before a foreign voice invaded his mind, wanting to come free. He could tell what this was from some mysterious force, a power beyond recognition, but one that had been bestowed to him.
And afterwards, M.R. Ironfist would sense a massive piercing strike in his stomach that would well up and soon envelop his body. It too would send him to his knees if he wasn't expecting it, and soon enough, he could tell what it was. Would he resist it? His innermost desires called out to him, wanting to be free, consuming his mind. Even if he didn't want it, the overwhelming feeling from the bottom of his heart would take over his mind and body, causing it to glow in a deep crimson aura.
Seek Suigami too, would feel something similar, but it was not of the same nature. Coming from the young man he had just spoke of, he started to feel a headache from his presence, but why? Soon, his body would not respond, and it wouldn't turn away, a great force was pushing out forcefully, brought out by some unknown feeling, which the other young man could not understand.
But that was not all...
Screams echoed in the halls, those struck by the God's blade, except by those mentioned, would feel their own face seemingly melting with black goo, before various body parts elongated, turning completely white, and sharp. Their body morphed monstrously as people ran from the sudden occurrence, and soon enough, those that were struck would be unrecognizable.Anyone could tell if they had ever been in the army or had ever even glanced outside --these were undoubtedly the creatures they were taught to fear, Sfalma. But, one question should strike at everyone's mind. Were they just created from people? Nonchalantly, the man turned back towards Samael, sheathing his sword.
"Ryer, I gave you the option to accept this power, and seize your fate, now take it. Go, now, I'll be watching your performance." The Crawling Chaos took a hand back and punched through the young man's chest cleanly, before disappearing completely into a swarm of black butterflies that everyone could now see. However, much like everyone else, Samael would not be harmed. Instead, he could feel a pounding headache and a foreign voice, but something else, like unreleased power just waiting to be discovered... he had already accepted this path, it wasn't good to go back on his word, was it?
But it wouldn't end there. The Sfalma, ferocious as they were, took time to sniff at their surroundings. Maybe the barrier was distorting their senses? But it seemed that, for now, there were only three single large beasts standing in the room, looming over, bearing their fangs, and in a moment, they would catch sight of those that were just awakened. | Kalos wasn't impressed with the display. She looked towards the man as he ran forward in multiple directions at once, then at Samael Ryer, who seemed to have noticed him as well from his speech. She gave a slight huff and frowned, walking onto the pedestal once more.
"Looks like some of you actually survived a God's little attack. Consider yourself lucky. You were given power, and if you don't want to die, use it now! This is what I was hoping for, use this power to destroy the Sfalma!" Kalos seemed commanding, a change from her previous riling attitude. She was truly getting a sense for this... or was she? She simply spouted orders from above, but her advice was valuable.
"This isn't your average tussle against another guy, though, make sure those things are beaten and killed." Maybe it was too much ordering, but she was mad. She expected this, but not in such a way. Was the Maiden simply planning on doing this from the beginning? What did she even know about the God? Samael could understand, only he could see Nyarlathotep until the end. And he could still feel him, watching, formless, like a shadow looming over his shoulder.
--- "What the hell?! These shits again?! Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" The young man seemed taken aback and frowned as he stood forward in front of Seek. "Look, man, you've got a nice view on this, but we can talk about it later. You don't look too good... but here, I know what'll bring you up." He dug into his pocket and removed a box of what looked like small candies, then handed it to Seek.
"I have no idea if I want to know how you got that way, but take those and you'll be just fine. Trust me, I've seen it before. You'll be able to fight once you take those. Oh, by the way, name's Emile. Emile Carter, I'll help you guys out here, I've had enough of these black things killing people for a lifetime." Emile started walking towards one of the Sfalma, holding a black pin in his hand, which he threw up into the air with a flick of his thumb, then caught it between his index and middle fingers, before tossing that same hand forward, the pin somehow disappearing in the sequence."You guys want to play, well, let's rock!" - Emile Stats:

| Getting started? Saying that was rather ambiguous, but Samael knew he couldn't really do anything besides watching right now. It was obvious enough that pretty much no one else could see the man, so it was best to wait it out, and see what this was about first. Instead of making something worse while everyone else is being clueless. And to a certain extent, he was as well. This celebration had been a bit of a bore before, but was that enough to warrant assaulting people..? Still, he did notice that there weren't any physical wounds inflicted, so it was probably something else that he didn't exactly understand right now.
He would frown a little when some of the people changed appearance afterwards, but that in itself was the smallest problem right now. The why question would probably have to wait for later, as these creatures were dangerous. He would have asked the man, but he didn't really get the chance to...
He would stumble back a bit at the sudden punch and a following headache.
''It's time....'' Shaking his head a little at the voice, he would momentarily turn his head towards the Maiden who took the stage once again. She was almost surprisingly eager about fighting the Sfalma, regardless of the circumistances surrounding this. And she seemingly knew what happened as well. Odd. One thing was a given, however. The Sfalma had to be beat, otherwise this would end up turning ugly. So...
''Alright then...come out!''
''They will meet their ultimate demise. Together, we'll make sure of that.''
The black dragon, Zirnitra would roar as it came into existence, before staring down at the offending creatures. Samael would give a nod, though, his attention would turn elsewhere for a moment. Weren't there some people that didn't turn into monsters from the attack? The Maiden said something about that and powers too. He would scan the surroundings briefly, but it was hard to tell just yet, despite there being some people still...normal. Logically speaking however, there had to be someone who could fight too, based on what had gone on...
