| Hiro was sitting on the edge of an old building far away from the guard posts that dotted this prison island. He could see in the distance the lit buildings that marked the buildings in use or used and he could hear the occasional yell here and there. There was no way any one would find him where he was unless one decided to walk further out and explore the less used buildings and even then if one did not look up he would never be spotted in the dark and this suited him just fine. He hadn’t come here to exactly hide, but it was a nice quiet enough place to observe the game without much interruption. The chest board sat by his side easily balanced on the thin concrete it was on. The pieces on the board had moved about many gathering around the square that marked the school as a chess piece dripping of paint appeared to confront them. This new piece was not an angel, but something more. Perhaps it was this Ananake or Thesis he kept hearing about. It was hard to tell and quite frankly Hiro wasn’t into the details much. He just wanted to see the end result. See which chest piece crumbled or like three others go missing from the board completely. As he watched the collected pieces, his eyes would drift to the angel pieces scattered across the board. Most were revealed. All except the one here. That one was still made out of fog. Fog that Hiro would love to blow away, but at his current state, he knew he could not confront an angel let alone cross worlds. A frustrating thing to be sure, but one that Hiro dealt with. In time, he would gain what he needed to heal this world of its taint. In time. In time, but for now he would watch and wait. |
