Tour of the Super Mall

A bright blue light emitted out before the large Hakken Super Mall, and a small figure would suddenly appear out of seemingly nowhere. Thanks to those who hadn't unlocked their potential, they could not see the door to the Velvet Room, or its bright glow, so to them it would appear as if Chance had appeared in the blink of an eye. The adolescent looking Attendant would be standing out infront of the mall, almost like s/he was waiting for someone, while holding a journal in their hand. She stood out, thanks to her outfit that made her look like some form of detective, and the looks she received paid tribute to this. However, the Attendant was far more focused on staring at the large building before them. They had never seen such a wondrous and massive building! Within the room of the subconscious, they had no such things. She had only heard of them during her days. "Marvelous! Amazing! To think such things actually existed!" She was clearly excited as she bounced up in down and anticipation. When she noticed people beginning to pay her more mind, she'd straighten herself and reclaim her posture. "I-I mean this is clearly an amazing fortification. Clearly prepared for the brunt of any disaster." The Velvet Attendant blushed as she grabbed her hat and tilted it down to cover the majority of her face. Walking to the side, she'd press her back against a wall and await the guest she would be accompany for this tour. She would need to get plenty of notes for Yu-Niichan! Apparently she was to be meeting the one named Kano Genji. If she remembered correctly, it was the boy she had given the items to to deliver to the other mean User. From what she could tell, he was rather nice.

"I wonder if he'll show me everything? Perhaps it wouldn't be for the best. If I become too attached to this world, I will not wish to return to my duties." The Attendant swayed forward and back against the wall while in deep thought. The Attendant was quite worried about such a thing. She had a duty to assist and guide the guests and that was the end of it. Going above and beyond was a bad thing to do. She surely wouldn't want to disappoint Philemon, or her Master with the long nose. However, deep inside she dreamed of finding purpose. Of finding a reason for her creation. Was that so wrong? She had been alive longer than any human, and they all had found their own meaning of life. Now, she wished for her own realization.

"Ah, Genji-san!" The Attendant turned to the boy and gave a courteous bow. "I'm glad you've made it. This building is quite fascinating! It's massive! Could it double as a defense barrier against outside attack? Perhaps a fortified layer to defend oneself from Shadows?" Chance closed her eyes and gave it a deep thought. The locating in question did seem like Limbo, excluding the lack of some physics and bustling people. Suddenly opening her book, the Attendant would begin to jot down notes within the pages with a wide smile. "I comprehend!" The Attendant was obviously excited, as she couldn't help giggling while scratching down notes in a journal. Once her notes were completed, she closed the journal and reclaimed her refined composure. Giving a slight cough, Chance would tuck the journal beneath her arm and turn back towards Genji. "Genji-san, I am quite new to these attractions. I leave our tour up to you, my guest. I anxiously await what this world has to offer~" The 'detective' would turn towards the doors while pointing her fingers towards the entrance. "Now go ahead, make my day!" The Attendant quoted a movie line they had seen on television during their studies of the human world. This would be only one of the many movie references Genji would be hearing that day. The attendant truly appeared to be like a child at these oh-so delicate moments. After all, this was one of her first real world experiences. When you were bound to a room your entire one hundred years of life, you did become rather curious of the world beyond the doorway. Chance had seen guests come and go, but never had a connection to them that threatened her role of assisting them and nothing more.

"A-ah.." The Attendant's face would become flushed at the human's response. How wrong he, Chance, was. "I-I see..! How strange. Shadows do not roam this world? It must be very safe indeed! B-but I wonder... " The Attendant would tilt his head to the side with a quizzical expression. "An -Eurth-quake and fl-u-d? I've believe I have heard of such dastardly events before!" The adolescent looking Attendant would grasp his journal and flip through the various pages. "So this building can protect the denizens of this world from natural disasters? How exciting! Is this, how you say, radical?" Chance giggled under his breath while scratching down various new notes. Yu-Niichan was going to enjoy the information s/he had gathered for him! When finally done, Chance would fold his book and turn towards Genji. "Clothing stores, Genji-san? I see! Perhaps my wardrobe needs a much needed update with the current times. There aren't many dressed like myself. Maybe I can even acquire new outfits for my various siblings within the Velvet Room aswell!" The 'Detective' would have a wide smile across his face as he'd follow behind Genji and enter the mall itself.

While following close behind Genji, the Attendant took various notes of his surroundings. His eyes couldn't simply just stop on one thing, as the colors and lights were almost mesmerizing, if not brainwashing. When they finally reached the destination, the Velvet Attendant would look up and down the isles with wide eyes. "Extravagant choices! Where should one start?" The Attendant looked first towards the women's section and then back towards the men's. Lowering his head with a slight cough, he'd turn towards Genji with his eyes shifted elsewhere. "G-Genji-san, what looks better? A blue 'dress' or a blue shirt with.. jeans?" The Attendant took a few steps back so s/he was standing between the two isles. Reaching out with both hands, s/he'd grab the blue dress with her left hand, and would grab a blue shirt with his other hand. "Other than this outfit I currently own, I've never been the type to.. choose things for myself. You'll have to excuse me, Genji-san."

The Velvet Attendant would give a few blinks before looking at the dress with a quizzical look. "I see, I see! Then I'll buy many!" And once saying that, Chance began to dash through the women's section like a blue blur, grabbing as many of the dresses the store had to offer. The fellow shoppers watched the Attendant with a perplexed look, as the stack of dresses in her hands grew larger, second by second. When the Attendant finally completed her gathering of the dresses, she would stagger forward in a walk, attempting to carry them all in her hands. If one were looking at her from the front, they wouldn't be able to see her face or upper body, excluding her arms holding the various pieces of clothing. "This should be enough for all my siblings in the Velvet Room. Simply splendid! Who know the human world had such treasures so easy for the picking! Now I believe the second part of this excursion involves the use of currency? Our Velvet Coins hold little to no value here in the natural world, but no worry, I've come fully prepared." Attendant Chance would make her way to the front counter and place the large tower of dresses down before the cashier. Reaching into her vest, she'd pull out a small tote book. With a flick of the thumb, she'd open the tote book and begin to pour a large amount of money onto the tabletop next by the blue dresses. The cashier's mouth would fall wide open as she began to watch the second tower of yen begin to pile up aswell. Meanwhile, Chance gave her usual smile while proceeding. "How fascinating! I wonder if Justine, Elizabeth, and Margaret have also shopped in such an establishment before. I must ask them when I go back."

After the transactions were complete, Chance would carry the various bags over to Genji while giving a graceful bow. "Which is our next destination, Genji-san? I am anxious to see what more this world offers our guests."

"Such a gentleman, Genji-san! Perhaps us Attendants may have some things in common with our guests, after all." The Attendant Chance gave a smile as he nodded his head towards the human. Lifting a number of bags easily with his right arm, he'd hold it towards Genji. "If you'd like to assist me, by my guest! Hehe, see how I've done that? Guest! And you're a guest in the Velvet Room! Ah, human humor is something I could surely live to love!" Chance began to laugh at his joke before heading towards the exit of the store. Next was this strange thing called the "video games store." Video games were, simulations that stimulated the mind and body through various goals and activities, correct? Velvet Attendant Chance would give it some thought as to what exactly he could obtain at this strange store. The Velvet Room held no such video games, unless you counted the ability to read the cards a game. Then the Velvet Room had plenty of games, if that were the case! Chance would look towards Genji while placing a finger on the tip of his hat. "Tell me, Genji-san, why does one partake in video games? Is it not possible for them to partake in the activity themselves, without needing a video to stimulate them? Do they play these games to take the role of another, so they may wear a mask and become someone else entirely?" The Attendant was basically asking if people played video games to escape their real life, and take on the life of a virtual counterpart. Did humans not enjoy who they were already? They held limitless potential, yet thrust themselves into the shoes of a simple programmed entity! Chance was confused. Very confused. "Humans, are so interesting."

Velvet Attendant Chance would give a quizzical look before nodding to herself and giving a thoughtful smile. "I see. I can't help but ask myself if my Master would consider installing such games within the Velvet Room. Oh, it'd be so exciting!" The young in appearance Attendant was obviously excited, as she jumped up and down in place. However, she noticed her strange behaviour and would suddenly stop with a slight blush. "Excuse my excitement. That was very unbecoming of an Attendant. Either way, Genji-san, you've taught me much in this short trip. Sadly, I must return to my duties." Chance would give a polite bow before taking his bags from Genji and walking up to the a blue door that appeared by his side. Opening the door, the Attendant would toss his bags within it before reaching into his back pocket and removing a pocket book. Opening the pocket book, he'd remove a few Velvet Coins to pay Genji the required amount for spending his time. "Thank you, Genji-san. I hope to continue to assist you in your journey." With that said, Chance would exit the mall, disappearing in a blue light. To those watching, it'd seem as if he had disappeared in thin air.

Genji watched Chance bounce up and down again, then try to save face. It was funny how excitable Chance was. But Genji would just smile, a laugh would probably be offensive. Unfortunately, Chance had to go. She/he would place some money into his hand and begin to go. Genji was a little sad, but he would end up saying this to her/him before the Attendant left, "I had a lot of fun, Chance-san, let's hang out again some other time." Then Chance would go.

Genji stood there with the Velvet Room currency in his hands. He would put it in his pocket and sit down for a few minutes. He had a nice day, but he didn't have shopping to do, so he would probably go home, play a few games, then head to work. He was in a big video game mood now, he wondered which one he could play. He would get up and head home, ready to play some video games.
