Base & Transformed Appearance:
Nilo appears relatively the same as he did when he was living. Born with albinism, he had starch white hair and vibrant red eyes. His pale is unnaturally pale and frame small and almost looks anemic. He appears much younger than he actually is, easily passing off as a kid rather than the teenager he actually is. He still stands at 5’ 8’’ but weights a startling 96 lbs, obviously telling those who knew him that the boy is much frailer looking than he originally was. Nilo lastly carries around the puppet he had as a human constantly. Its neck has a string tied around it and in turn, said string is tied around Nilo’s left wrist. It should lastly be noted that the scars on Nilo’s arms are more numerous that they were when he was living.

Nilo’s body is changed into a lanky and almost limp one, broken strings hanging from his hands. His face is a broken one, eyes empty and black and his mouth torn open, stitched to keep his jaw from hanging loose. His pale complexion is made to appear like old porcelain and his hair looks eerily like his puppet’s. A mask is tied to the side of his face, hiding a deep indention left by the one who landed the final blow on him. His clothing changed to that of what the Puppet generally wears… All in all, the boy has taken the likeliness of the Puppet he obsesses over.
Personality:
Shadow Nilo has a very loose control over his emotions. He can seem to be perfectly normal at times before suddenly bursting into fits of violent rage and sorrow. He doesn’t seem to notice his violent mood swings, and as such, he’s capable of smoothly dipping through countless moods before a conversation ends. Regardless of this, Nilo only tells the truth as it comes to him. He is incapable of holding back what he truly feels even if he ends up hating himself for saying it. He can become quite difficult to get along with because of this… But he doesn’t need anyone but the Puppet…

Strengths:
—Strength Name: Writer
—Description: Nilo’s writing capabilities are still as sharp as ever. His stories are quite capable of influencing those who read them. Though, as a shadow, Nilo’s stories are rarely ones that are good. They are all very dark and negative, leading those to read them disgusted or in fear of someone capable of writing such dark things.
—Strength Name: Esper
—Description: Nilo’s analytical mindset has been corrupted as a shadow, allowing the boy to notice the emotions of those around him with keen precision. He will use this to hurt others if provoked enough, though, it is noted that he generally doesn’t focus enough on others unless told too.
—Strength Name: Broken Sympathy
—Description: Regardless of how Nilo feels towards people, he sympathizes with them still as a shadow. He sees pain and hates it… This makes him a kinder shadow than most, even if it makes him weaker.
—Strength Name: Ghost Complex
—Description: Nilo for all reasons is dead. Those who knew him as he was living will generally not believe they see the young albino. He can quite literally make himself appear as a ghost to those who knew him as he was. However, it should be noted this only works until the person finds out who Nilo really is. He appears as he normally does as a ghost, though, almost transparent and if one doesn't focus on the specter form long enough, he practically disappears to them.
—Strength Name: Spider Hive
—Description: Nilo had developed an affinity for spiders as a shadow, so much so they quite literally live on him. He keeps quite a few of them within his clothes and some can even be seen crawling upon his person. Why exactly this is unknown, though, Nilo can quite literally scare an arachnophobe to death or send an ever so poisonous spider to do his bidding.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Fractured Mind
—Description: Nilo is insane. There is no other way to look at it. He’ll go on random rants and have mental breakdowns out of nowhere. He is tortured by his living memories so much so that he isn’t capable of functioning properly to those who had a strong impact on him.
—Weakness Name: Mood Swings
—Description: Nilo is a victim to violent mood swings. He can seem perfectly fine at first before violently switching to anger or sorrow with the blink of an eye. He doesn’t take notice to his current moods either, and as such, can easily confuse or scare people away with them.
—Weakness Name: Puppet Dependency
—Description: Nilo needs the puppet close to him. It’s unknown why, but without the puppet, he isn’t capable of rational thought. It is a security blanket for all intents and purposes… An eerie and odd one at that.
—Weakness Name: Self Harm
—Description: Nilo inflicts harm on himself almost daily, carrying a small knife with him everywhere so that he can harm himself whenever. He still bleeds as a shadow, leading the boy to be winded and weak when normal due to lack of ‘blood’ in his system.
—Weakness Name: Hate
—Description: Nilo hates humanity… He hates it so much; he doesn’t know what to do with it. He blames humanity for his death, and as such, has an incredibly hard time making SLs with humans, and even harder times with those who were directly involved in his death.
Soul Bound Weapon:
Weapon Name: Puppet
Weapon Description: The Puppet stands at a foot tall and seems normal on most accounts, however, according to Nilo it is quite sentient and capable of speech. It has three slender blades, all being a foot long as well, coming out of each sleeved arm. Nilo uses the blades to attack by manipulating it in battle. Said puppet can go two meters away from Nilo's person when attacking.

The Background

History:
Once upon a time, there was a boy by the name of Nilo. He had an abusive father and a loving mother. The boy did his best to make his father happy, but nothing was ever good enough. The father left the house one day and never came back home… Leaving the mother and her son all alone in the world.
It didn’t take long for the boy to realize how much of a burden he was… And on one dark night, the boy raised a knife and began cutting. His arms where mangled, bleeding by the end of it all. He passed out, only to wake up in a hospital a few days later still alive. His mother was crying… And he realized the mistake he had made… He promised to never leave her alone… And that he never did.
However, on a fateful day, the boy met an eccentric lunatic. With a mind full of false heroism and obvious lunacy, said hero became friends with the boy. It was a nice friendship, the two growing close together in the time they shared. However, it was this same ‘friend’ who led to the boy’s demise. An adventure into a dessert to find an angel led in the boy’s bloody death… At the hands of one of those that accompanied them as well.
A funeral was soon to be had. Those close to the boy invited and with his mother, mourned the loss of the boy… All but one… All but one lone person didn’t wish to mourn him. This person was that ‘friend.’ Never did the ‘friend’ come to visit the boy after that… And the boy slept for a long time before waking up, only to fall back asleep after seeing one he had trusted deeply… He wasn’t there to protect him either… That day… He was alone…
The boy’s mind fractured as time went on… The rest he was having abruptly ended as a dark aura grew in the fading consciousness. It grew and grew into insanity… Until one day, an albino boy simply appeared upon the boy’s grave. With a cry of anguish and pain, the shadow stood, walking over to a tree before catching a puppet that fell from it, its dark grin looking up at the crying boy. The shadow and puppet left the graveyard after that… Disappearing into the night… They had gone home to take back a certain book, the mother he had loved peacefully sleeping…
The boy left, living his life alone in the streets and alleys of San Malarus. Until one day… Something snapped in the shadow’s fragmented mind. He had business… He had to confront those he knew… Four lone people… He’d find each one of them… Just to see the anguish in their faces… It was time… Time for revenge against those that had killed him.

| Be specific in how far the puppet can go, as well as what they look like in their ghost-like state for the Ghost Complex strength. | |
