A Day to Remember. (Angel)

It was morning, the sun was rising as for some odd reason, Vincent was {A} awake at this time, and {B} rebelling more often then he should be with his parents and or servants. He didnt want to eat breakfast alone. He was at the balcony as he had his robes on. Watching the sun rise. He spat at the ground, clearly upset and was blaming the sun, The sun did nothing to Vince and he knew it. He changed into some casual clothing and before anyone could get him, he had himself get a ride to the town, while he smiled, the shop owners were opening to a diner as he ran in. He properly waited another hour for the cook and waiter to come. ‘You're here a little early dontcha think kid?’ Vincent blinked. “No...the sign says opens at eight o’clock….I was here seven and waited till eight...how am I early?” He ordered while he looked at his phone.

Two hours passed and was full and bored. Walking towards a familiar neighborhood. He thought in his head. ‘Hey thats where….I would hang out with some friends? Damn its been long.’ He sat down at a bench that was across the play ground that haunts him even today.

Akina walked out of her empty house, breathing a sigh of relief. Today had been pretty peaceful so far, though that was probably because it was extremely early. Way too early to be going out to just walk around a bit. Well, actually, it was a perfect time for that. It wasn't rare for Akina to be up really early, especially if her parents were out. Why were they even out so early? Meh, who cares. Probably for work or something. Easier for Akina, at least.

It had been a while since she'd had some free time to just...wander a bit. Life was a lot more eventful...and dangerous with a persona. Not that she didn't love having the thing around.

But enough of that. Akina found herself near familiar territory. It had been a while since she went over here, but her memories were still crystal clear. She looked over at a playground, wanting to smile and frown at the same time from the feeling of nostalgia. She quickly looked away before her gaze landed on a nearby bench. More specifically, the boy on the bench. Holy shit. Was that...?

She approached the bench, though once she got there she quickly realized she wasn't sure how to voice the question on her mind. So, she just kind of...awkwardly stood in front of him for a few seconds before her mind actually started working again. "O-Oh...um," Akina stuttered slightly. God, if she was wrong then this would probably be very awkward. "I...hi." Yeah, greetings. There we go. At least try to keep it together for more than five seconds, Akina. "D-Do I...know you?"

Something was oddly familiar about the guy, and Akina thought she knew what it was. But she couldn't just...blurt it out or anything.

He rubbed a hand through his hair, having the side with the white streak in his hair end up covering his left eye as he tilted his head back. Before he heard footsteps apporching him. He looked up to see a girl. Was that? naw it couldn't be.

He raised a brow when she was just standing there, as he crossed his arms and had a straight face. He was thinking on what to say. Was she just going to stand there all day, sorta making him feel awkward.

She finally spoke, thank goodness he was about to say. "Take a picture it will last longer." but he didnt. But he didn't as he gave a shy smile. Standing up and offering his seat on the bench. "Uh hey? Well its a big world so Im sure Ive seen you...But I sorta just moved here."

She mentally cursed at herself for taking so long to respond. She'd been just kind of standing there for a bit, oh god he must have felt awkward. That's all Akina ever was. Freaking awkward. She needed to chill, she wasn't always like this, but it seems that chilling out wasn't an option in this situation. Of course not.

She shook her head frantically as he stood up, pulling her out of her thoughts. "N-No, no that's fine, it's fine, you can stay there," Okay she was definitely panicking a bit. "Oh, you just moved here? Wow, a few other people have over the last few weeks. It's weird that so many p-people would decide to now of all times,"  Akina said, rambling a little. "...when stuff's getting weird."

"T-That was a weird question to start with, okay. Wait just...let me, uh, try that again,"  Akina shook her head. God why was she so awkward. This is painful. "I-I'm Akina Kurai. It's nice to, um, meet you. You just looked...r-really familiar to me, so I thought I'd ask to be sure I guess...? Sorry. I guess I was wrong..."  She looked down, embarrassed. "Just...ignore that."

He nodded slowly, while he continued to stood up. Giving her a warm smile. "Hey dont be nervous okay....Your going to spread that nervous vibe if you do." he rubbed the back of his as he looked away. "Well I did live here when I was younger, So who knows you might remember me just kicking a can by the park." His eyes widen....didnt he know an Akina? "I-Im Vincent Bellarose." he never said his real name before till now. Shaking his head he crossed his arms as he sat down, and closed his eyes. "So, Is that the main reason you came up to me cause I looked familiar?"

Akina gulped slightly. "Hahaha, sorry..."

Then he introduced himself and oh Jesus Christ Akina thought her heart stopped. So she was right...but apparently he didn't remember her...

Screw this memory of hers! If she'd forgotten about all that crap in the past, this incredibly awkward conversation wouldn't be taking place right now! Or, she wouldn't be feeling that tiny crushed feeling she's feeling at the realization that she'd been forgotten. What did she honestly expect? People move on in life. It isn't their fault that Akina pretty much never did. That didn't make it feel better, though.

"Pretty much. I mean, I hadn't seen you before, so I figured you were new. Yet at the same time, I felt like I had," She answered, looking a bit sad. Should she push on further, or just let it go...? "I mean, you said you used to live here, and I've been living here for my entire life, I never moved away...but maybe I really am wrong, haha. But...why'd you move here all of a sudden, anyway?" Akina attempted to keep the conversation going either way, though it was clear something was still bothering her. "Like I said, lots of people have been moving here at possibly the worst times."

He remembered himself at the cafe, and meeting this guy who had moved here a couple of weeks before him. She was telling the truth. "Well cheap land in the outskirts for one...But I dont know about the housing within the city....Akina...Gosh that rings such a bell it almost hurts to remember." He rubbed his temples as he tried to think, He had a small flash back: "Hey! Akina watch this!" Young Vincent jumping off a swing as he fell on his face, as the other kids laughed, he held on to his bleeding knee as he pouted looking away from everyone as Akina ran over and cleaned him up, he looked into her blue eyes.: Back to the present. "UH!....Hey, so whatcha doing up so early? Kids our age would sleep through his time right?'

"I shouldnt be talking, anyway. I wanted to avoid a lonely breakfast this morning so I was driven by uh....My uncle?" Walter might as well be, he's knew the guy since he was first hired. "Anyway I went to that local diner not to far, And sorta waited till it was open, and then waited for the cook and waiter to come, A bit of a loser on my part but. I ate good." he tried not seem awkward or over joyed when he looked into the blue eyes of this girl.

"Oh, ok. It's just weird to see all these new faces all of a sudden," She said with a shrug. Well, new was debatable, but that isn't the point. It was still a face she wasn't used to seeing.

"Up so early? ...Oh!" Right, right. She'd forgotten how early it actually was. "Eh, I don't know. I woke up really early today, ate breakfast, realized I was alone, and decided to take a walk. It was the perfect opportunity for one." Especially with how busy she'd been lately. This little time to wander and relax was great. "I guess that makes two of us who aren't exactly like kids our age, since we're both up, haha."

"I don't think that really makes you a loser, I can understand not wanting to eat alone. I should know. Plus, I'm pretty sure I ate at that diner a few times, the food there is pretty good. So, in my opinion, the wait would've been worth it. Though, I'm sure it's been a long time since I went there."

He blinked as he listened to her. He knew it was her, he just knew it. "when I was a kid I had a buddy would I would meet with to play and eat with." hints. "But....they havent seen me in awhile. Not like you care, you awkward nerd." he laughed a bit rubbing the back of his head. "I was joking...by the way...anyway, hey.....its almost lunch time, Im sure the diner is open. Let me buy you lunch so we both arnt alone...and awkward and stuff. My treat."

She raised an eyebrow. That was an...oddly specific detail to add. A buddy, huh? Okay, at this point Akina was 99% sure this was her old friend, and she was just as sure that he knew it and just wasn't saying anything specific. Or...maybe he's just messing with her.

Or maybe he's just being honest and telling her about when he lived here. God damn it, this is complicated. See, if Akina wasn't so nervous or unsure about most of this situation, she probably would've just called him out on that. But, this is Akina we're talking about. Of course she won't do that. So this'll probably continue for a bit. Might as well just go along with it.

"Oh, really? What a coincidence. So did I. Though, he probably wouldn't recognize me at all now. My hair is a lot shorter now compared to then, but other than that I guess there weren't too many changes," She said with a slight grin. "Haha, that's not true. The not caring part I mean. N-Not the awkward part. I'll gladly admit I am extremely awkward."

Akina blinked at the offer. "O-Oh, uh...sure? I wouldn't want to be a burden or anything, you don't have to treat me. Though, it's kind of funny, didn't you just come from there?"

He himself had just noticed the short hair, everything pointed to that he knew Akina, she knew Vincent, then why aren't either of them point at each other and calling it out? Course it would awkward to just say, "Hey Akina it's me your best friend as kids, you know the one that just abandoned you with a saying anything or mailing you." So didnt and couldnt and thought of ways.

He snapped his fingers. He'll make it up to her today. By doing good things that a stranger would never do to someone they had just met. But this was different, they had already met before in the past.

He laughed a bit as he looked over down the road. "What? calm down you're not being a burden at all Akina, Besides maybe I'm just a customer  who enjoyed their breakfast sooooooooo much that I decided to take a girl over for lunch." he nudged her arm softly as he joked around.

Akina raised an eyebrow yet again, this time at the random snapping of his fingers. Just what was he planning? She found herself wondering, as people usually did that when coming up with a plan. Did he have a plan? A plan for what? Akina needed to stop with these thoughts. She was looking way too deep into it, chill out.

She laughed as well. Yeah, forget 99% sure. She was completely sure now that this was her Vincent. The one she knew that just up and left one day. As much as she just wanted to be direct about it, she decided meh, just go along with it. Whatever he was trying to do, that is. She did have a few questions on her mind, but those could wait. Maybe if they did go to the diner, they could talk more about it there.

"Haha, if you're sure," She shrugged. "I really don't see why not. I wonder what they'll say to you once we go back again. I doubt they'd just forget you were there today if you actually waited for them to open, like you said."

She turned and started walking in the direction of the diner, motioning for him to come along as well. "Well, let's get going, yeah?"

He nodded as he placed his hands on behind his back. "Right....You think they might call the cops? thats not crazy right? Waiting for some random family owned diner to open?" he snickered as he sighed, He was pretty sure he was somewhat acting like he use to when he was younger, He poked her arm. "Hey Akina did-" He was about confront it but- "Have a dog?" In his mind he facepalmed.

"I mean, Yeah...a Dog." He looked forward as he was ahamed for cowarding away from the real question.

"Haha, I don't think so. If anything, they should be flattered that someone was dedicated enough to sit and wait until they opened, and then return with a friend hours later."

She paused as Vincent started asking the question, tilting her head in confusion once he finished. "A...dog? Do I have one? Of course I-" Akina stopped mid-sentence, eyes wide.

Wow, Akina. Wow. She was about two seconds away from seeming like a lunatic. She was about to say "Of course I do, Inugami." But Inugami is her persona, not a real dog! Jesus Christ, Akina. It's not like everyone in the world knows about Personas. Did Vince? Probably not, he seemed pretty normal, and part of her trusted that Inugami would at least give her some kind of heads up if he did. Plus, she was certain Inugami didn't count as an actual dog. "Uh...haha. Actually, I don't. I mean, I really love dogs, like a lot. They're loyal and...c-cute and awesome. But, my parents would never let me have one. Some things just don't change," She answered with a sigh, hoping he wouldn't question why her initial answer to his question was a big yes.

Anyway, she could tell that that wasn't the real question he wanted to ask. "So...uh...want to tell me more about how it was when you lived here before? Or, like, why you moved away in the first place?" She asked as they neared the diner. Maybe she should just directly bring it up herself. If he didn't bring it up soon she was just going to do it herself. It was actually annoying her a bit now.

He nodded. "Pfftt, Parents am I right." he looked to the side smiling as she expressed her feelings towards dogs. Did Vincent like dogs yes, would he buy one, hell no. Would he buy one for Akina, Hell yes.

Listening to her question while he opened the door to the diner, He thought about. What to say and what not to say. "Well I lived in the slump part of town, so I rather was always out kinda late. Oh sometimes me and my old friend would sneak out together just to relax. Course my parents didn't care much cause they had there own problems to deal with, as for my friends parents. It's like she was the pope, and her parents were guards keeping her close. Or Pirates and their treasure, or simply they were squirrels protecting their angel nut." he smiled. "But to tell you the truth, When I moved it happened too fast, we were kicked out the house before I could think, My father was on verge of getting a business partnership......Stupid adults not even begging; to stay one more night worked. We were in the streets, a shelter on another island. Taught me a freaking lesson, never to let people take you down. "bhe smiled a bit while he talked they managed to get a booth. "I shouldn't bore you with this, honest. Just in a week the business made it big. And here I am, back in the town that kicked us out." he sighed. moving a hand through his hair, if it was akina he had hoped that she would understand why and how come at first he couldn't see her or contact her. Course he was in the wrong not to visit either. He poured coffee in two mugs they left him, he loved his sugar. As he stirred his spoon slowly. "Why run from the past....conquer it, you have one person from you past in front of you...." Ever since they have moved into town that stupid scary voice in his head kept speaking.
