Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyWed Jul 15, 2015 4:08 am

She'd done it now... this was the worst outcome. Letting her hair hide her face, Rita attempted to push inside once more. She had to talk with Angel... it was the only thing she could do. The Angel of Alternate Malstu had fallen, died because of her. Once again, she couldn't save anyone... there must be some thing Rita could do to at least make the Angel justice!

"Please, let me in... I beg of you..." This was too much. She was tired, having ran all the way here. Hell, the battle wasn't even a full day ago... She just wanted in. Be able to know at least who it was her decisions killed.

Regret (Angel) TlWVo7l

"There has to be something I can do!"

If the Tower let her inside this time, Rita wouldn't be able to help herself. As she appeared in front of Angel, she'd be on her knees, grasping the back of her head as she leaned forward, sobbing loudly as the tears fell from her eyes to whatever ground was beneath her. She didn't want to do it... there must be something she could do now, right?! Right?!

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyWed Jul 15, 2015 7:30 am

To be frank, Sharaku did not think it was a very good idea for him to try and track as to where Rita was in a hurry to go after that mishap at Malstu happened. He was well aware that he wasn't good at helping people in such cases. And he could figure that Rita most likely felt bad over it, for reasons that were her own. Or maybe he was simply sad that the Angel was most likely dead. On the other hand, what was he to do? The two of them were already pretty much mostly working only as a pair. It would do no good to make it even worse than it already is. That...and it wasn't extremely hard to make a solid guess as to where would she go. The last time they had troubles with an Angel, Sraosha back then...she ran off to ask the reporter girl, had she not? The way she had spoken of it, it seemed that Rita trusted that Angel to a degree. It would make sense. The reporter girl was the one that overlooked the situation yes? Then she should logically know things about the Malstu Angel. He'd suppose Rita would want to know, considering what she had said before leaving Malstu.

He wasn't sure how to feel about it, however. He didn't know what to think of 'Angela', as Rita called her. She had told a lot, yes, but many of the things were unclear, and came after they were viable to begin with. She hadn't bothered to tell Hyde something as important as the fact that he couldn't do certain things. But what Israfel said implied she had known all along. To say the truth, he was a bit too mysterious at the moment. He didn't know why exactly did Rita seem to like visiting her. He, personally, hadn't been here once after that Broadcast. Yes, he had considered the option, but it had never been at the top of his list of things to do. Not with everything else there was to do. He wasn't the one for chit-chat. And there was no saying she would have told him anything useful enough. Or just raise more questions.

But he had little option now. It was either leave it be, and have Rita possibly leave him out of the loop (which honestly wouldn't surprise him at this point), or go and give it a try. Seeing as it was the only theory that was plausible enough. Where would one go if they wanted something related to an Angel..? After another one, presumably. And she was the only one that was reachable easily enough. Topping it off with the fact that Rita had done it once before when it was about Sraosha. In the end, following was the better option for now, just to not let it get worse.

...well, she wasn't hard to find either way. Not with how distressed she seemed to be. Lovely. This was going to be a really long day. In any case, he would follow after her, whether they were going to be let in, or not.

Regret (Angel) APfknXv

''...and what if there is not? We aren't omnipotent. There was never even a guarantee that the Angel would have survived. We have never been told how it works.'', he would state towards her, both his tone and expression somewhat undreadable. It was hard to tell how he really felt about this all, and what exactly was on his mind.

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyThu Jul 16, 2015 5:39 pm

The Tower would let Rita in and Sharaku should he decide to follow, which left the two of them inside the Waiting Room. Angel was surprised to say the least of their coming, and even more surprised to see Rita so upset. Though, even she could not mask her slight grief regarding current events. Should either of the two look around, they would see the floating hourglass full of red sand was cracked, and leaking the fragments of sediment towards the depths below. It was a sad tragedy for someone that was essentially her sibling. "Rita...." she walked towards her and knelt forward, placing a hand over the back of hers as she sobbed. She didn't exactly expect someone to be so grieving over what had happened. They knew nothing of them, and perhaps never will. Though it was for their benefit, and given what she had promised before, this was simply not what she expected. "Don't blame yourself. It was not your fault that this happened. They simply could not bear it after being tainted by Thesis. When worlds get tainted by what she does, the Angels get hurt with them. They are in the Human World, so their power is not as immense."

She said what she could to calm her down. She could not say she didn't understand. She herself had to watch others die for things they could not control. It was not right. "Don't let this hurt you so much. It happened and turned out another way. You are not to blame." She turned to Sharaku who didn't seem to be talking much, nor was it easy to gauge something on his face. Her face was contemplative. "You were there as well? I suppose there is nothing to be done about it?" it was actually her turn to question him. She could not see everything, much less things in other worlds. She didn't foresee any hope for the sibling, but it was worth asking.

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyFri Jul 17, 2015 12:08 am

"I refuse to accept that... there's always something we can do, that's why we got this power in the first place!" Rita wasn't even surprised Sharaku came, she just slammed her balled fist into the ground with those words. If she wasn't able to save an Angel, why did she even get her Persona?! If she couldn't protect those that she needed to protect, why did she get the power she had right now?!

"Dammit... this shouldn't be how it goes... how come one Angel was saved and the other wasn't?! What was the difference?! The only thing I can think of is what we did... we went too far... I wanted to try and finish it quickly, and got reckless. If only I controlled myself..." As Rita spoke, her eyes shone a light red, her vision occluded with various dots on the ground beneath her. Maybe she had gotten this new power to aid her. Hell, she didn't even know where it came from, but it was there.

"Who were they?" Still sobbing, Rita lifted her head up slowly, looking at Angel with a pained face, eyes drowning in flowing tears. "Tell me, at least, who this Angel was. I don't want to let them fade like that... Killing someone without even knowing who they are, their Reason, not even their name... Even if I wouldn't agree with them, I want to respect their wish, consider it something that was once on the line in this... stupid game..." The silvernette grit her teeth, looking at the floor again, but this time, getting up onto just one knee. Rita regretted setting foot in Alternate Malstu, being unable to do what she was supposed to...

Regret (Angel) YJ9PGnN

"Angel, tell me... is it possible to fight for humanity? For the world we have right now? This fighting... it needs to stop. There are threats we need to face, and the war ongoing between the Angels isn't helping... I want to throw that away. I want to make the only world humans know... the only world I know everyone likes. It's the only one that worked... Angel, will you help me accomplish that?" Despite her wish, Rita wasn't refusing any Angel's wish... they were to be respected, and she would do so regardless. But this was her Reason, what she wanted to do... and in her mind, there was no possibility for any Angel to carry the same wish as her. She had heard of Israfel's wish, and of Oki's Angel's wish, now she wished to know of the others... if you can't make a world where everyone is happy, why even bother making a world? Those were the words that drove her...

"Start anew, or continue living? A blank slate or the scars we already have?"

The dilemma was there, though. As long as she kept going, there was the chance of going either route. Both lead to the same outcome, a world where humanity decides what they make of it. She had to admit, humans were flawed... but who else was better to decide how their world turned out but them?

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyFri Jul 17, 2015 6:16 am

Sharaku would look at Rita with a thin frown. Yes, they did. But that didn't make them capable of completely everything either. They were still humans. ''I'll say this. I wouldn't let having power cloud your judgement. Yes, by having it, we can do much more than a normal person. But we are still humans. We aren't perfect, nor omnipotent. You can't expect everything to happen flawlessy just because you were given said power. Something like this may happen again in the future. Are you going to be a mess each time..?'' He understood that she was sad about what happened to the Angel...but, things don't always go as planned. They couldn't have forseen what would happen. That power didn't make them that utterly amazing. Fails were bound to occur, were they not..? If she let it get to her each time like this, how would it help her? Or maybe it was just him. He didn't let emotions get in the way of his thoughts most of the time, unless something struck a nerve hard enough for a reason. Looking at things from a more rational standpoint was more his style.

''How come? No one said it has to be linear. We asked Israfel before. He didn't clarify exactly whether an Angel can always be saved. Nor what is the way to do it. Maybe it was supposed to happen. We cannot know. You're beating yourself up too much. There is no proof it is your fault.'', he would shake his head with a sigh, before focusing his gaze on the Angel contemplatively. Was there nothing to be done about it? He didn't know. This was only the second time he's faced that kind of thing. Then again, it was more than anyone else had. ''I was, yes. But I don't know. I can only say that this was different than what happened at Zela before. Israfel had turned back to himself after he was fought. This time...I don't know. But it was worse in general, even the conditions in that world. The Angel imploded on itself, pretty much. The only thing that was a bit strange, was that some pearls dropped into the volcano after the Angel dissapeared. I have no idea if that means anything.'' It was up to Angel if she could make sense out of it. He didn't know enough about the Angels to make an assumption.

After that, he would stay mostly silent, letting Rita do her talks. He could have said something about the idea of fighting for humanity...but, he decided to wait and see what Angel would answer first. It would be easier to assess that way. Afterall, there was no need to rush this. They only just came here. So he watched, listening to the conversation for a while first.

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyFri Jul 17, 2015 10:09 pm

Angel slowly let her hand fall off of her. "My one guess is that they simply could not handle what you had dealt. It was a mere accident, nothing more that you had hit them a little too hard." It was the only thing she could think of. How else would one accidentally strike down an Angel? "Teshub was their name. The One Who Gave Humanity Passion. The ability to grow out of control and tap into that reserve that you sometimes truly need." Angel watched the red sands fall, while closing her eyes and whispering a silent prayer to herself. Thinking on Sharaku's memories of the fight, she understood that there probably was little hope for them. "Then there is probably nothing you can do. Do not fear, you will not lose what they had given you; they will live on in everyone who bears his essence. Don't feel bad." Angel did not know exactly what to say. She herself dealt with death rather little even for what she was. "Were he here he may know..." she said to herself.

When Rita had asked about a Wish for Humanity, a Wish to defy the Event altogether, she closed her eyes. After some time she too was pulled into this Event, something she had intended to avoid. And now....someone else asks her to come back and answer to their Wish. "Because I myself am part of this, I cannot simply oppose it. You must do that on your own; I too as of a recent meeting have been bound by a Wish."

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyFri Jul 17, 2015 11:13 pm

"I know I shouldn't expect everything to go flawlessly, and I know this power doesn't make me able to do everything... but just because of that, it doesn't give me the right to brush off killing somebody with it, accident or not. Life is precious, that's something I believe wholeheartedly." Maybe her reaction had been more extreme simply because of the sudden shift. Rita wasn't expecting this to happen, to say the very least... it affected her harder than most. She wasn't ready to deal with death, not when it happened because of something she did.

"Teshub..." The silvernette closed her eyes, furrowing her brow. "Their Wish, could you tell me what it was? I want to learn of all of them. They're all possibilities and they all need to be respected as such..." She wouldn't try and fool herself by saying they all needed to be considered at the end, that wasn't the essence of this Event... but even then, all of the Wishes were valid. Real possibilities, real worlds that could come from this, it wasn't right for her to simply pass them over.

Rita let the small part about the Angel and a 'he', as said by Angela, slip by with her. There was nothing to add there. "I... maybe I misspoke. It isn't that I want to disregard it entirely... I just want to focus on other things. This Event, the war between Angels, isn't what humanity needs right now. I want your help with defeating the Primordials, so no other Angel gets taken like Teshub has. Once that's done, well... I'll follow through with the Wish I make." Her choice of words was awkward, yes, but it wasn't like Rita wanted to completely disregard the Event completely... it was just not her top priority and she firmly believed it shouldn't be anyone's. Her Wish afterwards may even align with someone else's, who knew? Though...

"That Wish of yours... can you tell me what it is? I've come to understand you're a wild card in the Event, in some way... so I want to know just what kind of Reason you've been bound to." That was what Rita wanted to know from this. Even if her eyes were still wet, even if she hadn't recovered yet, she needed Angel's help to realize her Wish. For an Angel that claimed to want what was best for humanity... such a Wish could possibly align with hers very clearly.

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptySat Jul 18, 2015 12:14 am

''Life, hm? Maybe it is. I'm not saying to disregard it. But we can't really afford to falter too much when something like this happens, can we?'', he would give Rita a thin smile, before turning to look at Angel as the conversation continued. His perception of life and death was probably slightly different than hers, to be honest, but now was not the time to make that into a discussion. It wasn't particularly relevant to the problem at hand.

Teshub, was it? Interesting. Yet, he would say nothing. Rita went on ahead to ask for a detailed clarification of the Angel's wish, and it wasn't as if he had anything to add. He could guess fairly well as to what it could be from what had already been said anyway, so he opted to not complicate that one. He would hum faintly when Angel said they shouldn't feel bad and all. Well. ''I see. However, does an Angel dying affect this Event somehow?'' There had to be some difference, no? It wasn't just that the Angel's essence would live on, was it? Nothing big happened back then with Israfel...but he had remained alive. Somehow, he doubted this time around would simply result in the same.

He would furrow his brows slightly, looking between Rita and Angel as the talk turned to humanity and wishes. He was following, and yet not. Hm. He wasn't sure what exactly Rita's reasons were, in all honesty. She didn't know what Angel's Wish really was yet, but she was already claiming to want her help. So did it matter then? Nor did it seem Rita had a Wish of her own in mind yet either. For some reason, he found this a little bit messy right now. ''I'm not sure I'm following. I thought the Angels and Primordials were tied in a way. Is it possible to defeat them and not pay attention to the Angel conflict during so? From the way Israfel phrased things, I had the feeling that defeating the Primordials is not a task done easily.'' Besides? If Angel here had a Wish of her own, then technically she had to sort of be in opposition to the rest of her race. Therefore, it was still within those 'wars' as Rita called them. How was joining her different from participating in it through any other Angel..?

Frankly, he was a bit confused right now. Guess he could try to wait whether Angel's answers would clarify anything. He wasn't making much sense out of Rita anyway. She seemed to trust Angel rather easily, asking for help before even knowing her Wish to begin with. He thought that something like that was usually done in a reverse order.

PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptySun Jul 19, 2015 6:59 pm

"It's not my place to explain what they believed in.....that is something you will have to ask when you meet Mother..." she said, reluctantly declining to give her that information. It was indeed meaningless now, but even if she did want to give her peace of mind, she was not allowed to. She turned to Sharaku when he began to speak, actually asking something in particular. "An Angel's death means that that Wish never has the potential to be fulfilled. As for defeating the Primordials, defeating them conventionally may have its advantages....but to rid them for good, one must be human imbued with the power of an Angel; or so I have come to a guess."

When Rita asked about her Wish, she looked to the side. "I wonder, were you to know, would it truly make a difference to you? I am neither important nor necessary to this struggle right now. It makes me curious."

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyMon Jul 20, 2015 3:56 am

"I see... thank you anyway, Angel. From what you've told me of Teshub, I can at least assume what their Reason was." Rita narrowed her eyes, letting out a sigh. "Even then, it isn't like I can't let something like this affect me... disregarding it would be disrespectful, even if I have to keep going regardless." Faltering wasn't the right word... to Rita, it was honoring them, recognizing that they were indeed living and, despite their struggles, they couldn't hold on. It was how she mourned Teshub, in a way.

"I wish I could apologize to them... but at least I'll keep them close. The One Who Gave Humanity Passion, right? Even if their Wish is gone, at least we still have them with us." The silvernette whispered that to herself. It was really only a repeat of what Angel had said before, but it helped assure her. "I want to defeat them. Take the fight into my own hands. If that means aligning myself to an Angel, even if only temporarily, so be it." Rita's goal right now wasn't to participate in this game, it was to get rid of the threats to her home. If some kind of war was going to ensue between them anyway, they didn't need to have this kind of mess as well.

"Angel... if it wouldn't affect my decision, I wouldn't have asked you in the first place. My wish is to fight for humanity and create the world everyone enjoys, even if it isn't perfect. You are on humanity's side too, right? If the Reason you are bound to reflects that, then I'm sure it'll be a cause I can get behind." It must have been obvious by now, but Rita did place a great deal of trust in Angel... simply because she seemed to accept what humans wanted, instead of having an idealized vision of what would be best for them. The only reason Rita trusted Angel... was because she was the least Angel-like of the Angels, to her. Even in their previous interactions, she always seemed so... human. Not like a personification of something, but just normal.

"For now, even if I can't have your help... I want a truce. These wars between the Angels aren't our focus right now, not when there's a larger threat readily apparent. Simply put, I want your help regardless of whether our Reasons align, still, though whether they do or not will influence my later decision, once this is dealt with. If it's true only a human with the power of an Angel can defeat the Primordials for good, then that's the route I'll take..." Rita got up, eyes closed with a fairly defined stream running down her cheeks from before. "The path I follow is for humanity. My first priority is the extermination of the Primordial Beings. Angel, I hope you can at least aid me on that path." Unconsciously, a small stream of fire twirled around Rita's right arm before flickering off, her brow furrowed into a serious expression. She had been getting too accustomed to her powers lately... perhaps that was the mark of mastery on a Persona User.

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyMon Jul 20, 2015 8:05 am

Well, there goes. Down to assuming. But Sharaku was fine with that. Passion...it wasn't that hard to guess what it could be about. He would look at Rita briefly, and just sigh. ''That wasn't what I meant. Not really. Nevermind then, I suppose.'' He hadn't meant it in a way that she should ignore altogether...that's not it. But he didn't want to start an argument over it here. Nor right now.

He would frown when Angel answered his inquiries. That was..no good. Why? He wasn't particularly bothered by the Wish thing. He wasn't for the Angel way anyway. Why wouldn't humans be able to come up with something similar to that if they wanted to? But..they had to be aligned with an Angel to completely defeat the Primordials? That kind of made a dent. He didn't want to..? At the very least, he did not like their ideology. This split up of different ideals. Passion...Israfel was Will...then there was something akin to Peace...and he could only imagine the rest. But weren't those all aspects that humans had in one way or another? Why would he want to favor one over the other? It made no sense in the end. Wasn't what made them human that they had it all? It was just like some sort of going backwards if they disregarded all else for only one of those. Then someone comes and says joining one is actually a requirement to end this for good. That was not okay. Not in his book.

He would cross his arms over his chest in faint annoyance over what this implied. ''What then..? I don't like the idea the Angels over in the other worlds propose. I do respect their ideas, but I don't follow. Why should we make a decision between individual traits like that? I thought humans had them all in some way. So why put one above others like that? It makes no sense to me. Yet..I don't want this destruction to happen, so destroying the Primordials is probably the viable option here. I'd rather them not come back or anything...but I don't want to join any of those Angels over there either.'', he would shake his head. Why did things have to contradict so much? Doesn't make the situation any better.

He would glance at Rita for a moment as she spoke. Hm. He would huff. ''I can't say whether my priority really is defeating the Primordials. It all depends. But what I know is, that I don't want to be bound by the Wishes the Angels give. If this is about humans remaking the world...why can't we just make our own? Why follow them? I thought we have our own minds as well.'', he would sigh faintly. ''I can't say I understand this notion though. If joining an Angel to end this is a must....Is this why you made a Wish of your own? I know that the last time I was here, you claimed to be only an observer.'' So..why then? She didn't really want to meddle, did she? Also, he wasn't sure what Rita was going on about. Not really. A Wish for humanity...she spoke as if she was sure that was what Angel wanted. But how did she know that then?

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyTue Jul 21, 2015 4:09 pm

"So be it.....the Wish I have been bound by is a Wish that does nothing to the world. In fact, it largely keeps the world the same, with a minor difference that everyone would consider other's true goals. No one is left out when it comes to people's decisions....though it means as much as it is dramatized nothing will change, you will not have to adjust to a new life, and Humanity will rely not on a new personality, yet no one else will get their chance to change the course of Humanity. If you wish to work together, I can oblige...to a degree. I cannot assist you directly, as you are still abiding by the rules of this Event."

When Sharaku spoke, Angel raised her eyebrow to him. "No one said you could not make an ideal of your own. It would be foolish of one to assume that they had to follow us. It is merely options you have to take, and those that are willing to help you. As far as certainty goes, I know of little  other way to defeat the Primordials." Angel said, turning to the side without facing the two for that brief statement. She would turn back after a pause. "For one who has such a struggle with all of them, you choose to balance them, when in reality that means you yourself will not grow. Choosing to enhance one and make one part of Humanity the primary goal gives Humans that fear stagnation the chance to strive for something higher than being simply a balance....and that is why some Angels choose that path."

Regret (Angel) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Regret (Angel)   Regret (Angel) EmptyTue Jul 21, 2015 4:48 pm

"That's... it?" Rita's mouth was honestly agape at this. "I... don't know what to say. The world I want to make is also this world we have right now, or at least a world where everyone makes their own future. Humanity decides its own course, simply that... Angel, did you make this Wish yourself...?" Though this world did seem to align with hers... Rita didn't know what to think of it. It felt... strangely alien. At least when spoken by Angel, the description seemed very odd...

"Stagnation is what I fear most in the other Angels' reasons... beings that seem to be personifications of our traits don't sound to me like the best guide to have to make a world. Angel, your Reason is appealing... I agree with it, to some extent. I... don't know whether I'll change or not. I know, though, that it's my best shot at making a world I dream of, a world where everyone has at least a chance to be happy... this world. I can't see that happening in any other, driven only by a single trait." The silvernette closed her eyes, trying to understand what this entailed fully. Focusing, Rita put a hand forward, a red-colored whip appearing in her hand.

"Angel, that isn't why I balance them. Growth doesn't come from chaos, it doesn't come from focusing on only one part of yourself. I choose to balance them because the balance of all our traits is what makes us human. Sure, some people rely on Passion more, some on Emotion, but solely? They are the ones who don't grow at all. I have grown already since I started, that is something I can say for sure, and it didn't come from choosing only one part of myself." She grasped the whip tightly, letting it fade into the air in the Waiting Room. "Even if I'm opposed, I'll continue to grow, because that's what humans do. Regardless of what path they choose to follow, they'll only grow stronger from it. Humanity as a whole is still developing, evolving. Even if we don't change our cover, so what? What makes us humans isn't what we look like to the outside, it's what we act like on the inside. That's why there are always anomalies, people that don't fit in so well with the norm. And you know what? It's just fine that way. We don't have to follow a pre-made system, we can make our own. That's the only way humans will ever grow." Rita grit her teeth as she balled her hand into a fist. Perhaps humans wouldn't grow right away if they kept to this world... but they were still changing. Humanity wasn't stagnant yet, not with so many things yet to discover and so many new types of people appearing every second. No, this was evolution, and they didn't need to completely change their image in order to realize it.

"I choose to oppose the Angels because they don't understand us completely... even if they have been watching us for so long, they still only represent one trait..." The silvernette turned to the side, walking forwards slightly to distance herself from both Angel and Sharaku. "Imagine an alien who was incapable of feeling fear. It could study what it was, even understand what it was. Hell, it could pass a psychology test based solely on understanding fear. But that alien would never know what fear is, because it couldn't experience it." A fairly large red bird sat on Rita's shoulder, nibbling on her ear with a light expression. Hou-ou wasn't hostile, no, but Rita needed him out right now to be able to keep her thoughts going. "That's why I oppose the Angels. Someone who only knows one of our traits can't possibly know humanity completely, not even if they understand all the rest. We're humans because we're imperfect... but being imperfect also means we're an amalgamation of things that make us up. We have passion, we have will, we have emotions. We have the drive to keep going, we have our knowledge, our purity, and our corruption. But most of all, we have our freedom."

"That is why I wish to follow your Wish, however cheesy my speech was... however, there is one thing I want before doing so..."

Right. Well, he could technically follow that. It wasn't as if he wanted to really change much. Not singlehandedly. It would be of no use. A sudden change of a world into something else...he didn't think it would be a good idea. Sure, perhaps humans could use some change, but it was something they had to actually do on their own, and with time. A shift like what most Angels were proposing..could end up being destructive, if it even worked to begin with. It would be confusing, and many would probably even reject it. What's the point? People needed to learn and want some change first..and then perhaps consider it. Not have someone enforce it through a minority just like that, with a wave of a finger. Afterall, not everyone was involved and had a choice. Nor everyone could win if there were multiple sides. It was almost bound to end up in chaos. That, Rita was right about in a way.

Though, he would scowl a little at the notion that following a single trait would lead to something good. No, he didn't agree with that philosophy. Maybe it could help an individual, but not if everyone followed exactly the same one. At least let everyone choose which they want to hold dear, not pick only one for the whole mankind. If nothing else. ''I'd say that's wrong. What good can come out of everyone focusing on only one trait? That is no progress either. We'd just forget all else we had, and cling to one thing. We'd have less than we had, in actuality. Even if it could be useful...but I disagree that choosing one single trait for the whole humanity is any good. If it had to be that way, then at least...every person should be able to choose what they want to lean towards. Not everyone being forced for the same. We are individuals, not copies of each other. It makes no sense.'' It simply didn't. At least to him.

Still, he didn't entirely agree with Rita either. Sure, he was for the idea of letting humans decide and all that...but he had no intention of actively opposing the Angels. Yes, perhaps they couldn't understand humans due to the way they were made...but just because he wouldn't want to join them, didn't mean he had anything against them as beings. So what? He could still be on good terms with some of them, despite not following them. Afterall, he figured that you could only choose one Angel to join either way. His frown would deepen, however, when Rita all of a sudden proposed a battle. Seriously? Out of all things to...He was honestly rather annoyed right now. What was she thinking? Whatever reason she had..she could at least be mindful of other things. He was already aware that she had been ignoring him most of the time, aside from that talk in the beginning they had. But really? It was as if this was some spotlight about her or something. If she didn't really want him around, then she could have said so before, not just go around making decisions as if she was the only person here. So much for coming, actually. He was honestly not sure why he bothered, since she seemed all to happy to do things on her own. And rather rudely at the moment, if he was to say anything. Did he not get any say? Maybe he did not want to get caught in a crossfire here. ''Thanks for being mindful that other people are in the same room as you, by the way.'', he would remark in a somewhat sarcastic tone, before turning around to walk somewhere to the edge of the room...or whatever. Somewhere where he hopefully wouldn't get hit by anything. He would look over his shoulder at Angel briefly though. ''At any rate, I do agree with the idea of not changing the world in any drastic way...but I suppose...excuse me for now, since I have no intention to go fight right here.'', he would state, sitting down somewhere. Well, now what. ''When you're done putting on your show, wake me up or something.'', he'd add towards Rita. Eh, he doubted he would be able to take a nap while people were fighting...Ah well. What can you do when people act like this?

Angel frowned slightly at Sharaku, who didn't seem to be in the mood for a fight. To be quite frank, Angel herself wasn't either, but it looked as though Rita would not go without one. Fine then, if she wanted a fight, she would have to play by Angel's rules. "Fine then, I shall give you what you want. I will fight you for a little bit. If you can land a single hit on me, I will tell you something interesting," she said, with bright eyes as she summoned a familiar staff and twirled it behind her back and to her side as though she was simply made for this type of combat. She pushed at the ground with her staff, sending her further back to where their distance was around ten meters. She remained silent and allowed Rita to come at her first. She was taken aback by her challenge to be sure, but it took her back, to the old days before being the Conductor of this trial. She wondered how far Rita would go if this all meant anything to her.
