| Ever since hearing about the ruined village that was supposedly somewhere on Lunapa, Minori had had a tickling need to go and do some exploring. She had considered calling up one of her new friends to accompany her on her impromptu trip, but had ultimately decided against it. While having company would reduce the chance of her getting horrifically lost, this wasn't the kind of invitation that she wanted to spring on someone without any prior warning; it seemed a little too inconsiderate to do so.
And so there Minori was, traveling from her home island to Lunapa on her day off of work. She had done a little bit of prior research so that she wasn't diving in completely blind, even having printed out a map of the island to bring alongside her cellphone, camera, and some other things she had deemed necessary.
Too bad her printer had been running out of ink though. Upon arriving on the island, the first thing Minori did was pull out the faded map and squint at it thoughtfully. "Now let's see. The ruins are...uh..." Could they be at that blotch of white where the ink had died completely? Or maybe it was located closer to the streaky lines on the left side of the page?
Minori cocked her head to the side and squinted harder. "Am I even holding this thing right side up?"

| "I believe I am a bit... lost..." The teenager stands in the middle of the forest, his head is at a slight angle as he observes his map. "I thought I took the correct way..." There was no way he could know. No signs of any sort, no landmarks that he could label. All he can see is trees. Trees from the front, trees from the back, trees from the sides, trees up but no trees down. Just trees. And he was starting to get sick of seeing the tall, brown plants. 'Okay... Maybe if I just turn around and retrace my steps... Wait no... That won't work...' Giving off a small groan the teenager rubs his head. "Okay Ryusaki, you will go straight and only straight. If you continue going straight you will eventually reach the shore. Alright! Lets do this!" Ryusaki raises his fist in the air as he charges forward into the trees.
About an hour past after he worked executed his brilliant plan into action; he is still lost in the woods. Sweat starts to run down his face as he continue on wards 'This is getting me nowhere...' Ryusaki's thought process told him 'Maybe I should think of another plan... Yeah, good idea. He stops again to reevaluate his situation. He went on a hiking trip to get his legs stronger; he got lost halfway through the middle of the trip; there is no connection with the outside world. Therefore, there is only one possible outcome.
He is doomed. | |

| After determining that the map was probably right side up (it wasn't), Minori began to venture off in what she assumed to be the right direction. It was a little hard to make out the smudges on her page, but she liked to think that the landmarks she was seeing were the right ones. Like that building to her right was probably the smudge on her map, and the barcode-like lines to the right of that was probably that other building she saw right there.
Needless to say, it didn't take long for the girl to get hopelessly lost. At first things were okay; there were some particular buildings and residents that she could use as reference. However the longer she walked, the deeper she wandered into the mass of trees until...trees. Literally just trees--that was all that she could see no matter where she looked.
"Uh oh..." Brows creasing in worry, she glanced left and right in a futile effort to figure out her bearings. When a few more minutes of walking produced no positive result, the pink haired girl bit her lip. This wasn't looking good.
"Uh," she called out, withdrawing her phone at the same time to check the signal, "Is anyone out here? ...Someone?"
