A visor like item would slip over the eyes as comfortable headphones slipped over the ears, a controller was firmly in hand. With a the push of a button, the light whirl of machinery moving to read data hummed for a bit in the crowded cafe. Once the data had been reviewed, a pale finger would hit the enter button on the controller and then the body would relax and sink into the world of the imagination.
Honey brown eyes would flicker open only to close again as bright light assaulted them. Raising a gloved hand to block out some of the light, the eyes would open again as the blonde haired young man sat up and looked around the area he was in. He had been dozing under a tree close by an abandoned village and a strange tower in the distance. All around was an open field of grass and earth. The wind blew through the area, jingling lose belts on the man and rattling the chain at his side. Outside of this only the gentle snaps of his clothing and the birds chirping above could be heard in this place of silent.
Heh as peaceful as always, but the young man knew better than to let this place deceive him. This was a place of battles and this was a calm before the storm. It had been over a year since he actually played this game, so he was sure his skills were rusty. Still he decided to pick up the game once more when his own life became quite hectic and seemed to require a different form of thinking to survive. So to test his strategies and to release some stress in his free time, here Tasu was again. Ready to test his skills and mind against whoever might show up today. Getting his character to stand, he would dust himself off before he began to head towards the abandoned village.

Soon enough, Tasu would hear the sound of a siren buzzing as a red haze covered the entirety of the stage. From the look of things, it seemed an anomaly had occurred, as various points in the stage became coated with a simple pattern, an hexagonal red shape reading: "WARNING" and "SERVER ANNOUNCEMENT".
"This is Game Master Raki, it is requested that all current players of the game log off immediately. I repeat, it is requested that all players currently online log off immediately. We are currently facing extreme technical diff---"A female voice rung out with a rushed tone before being cut off. It seemed that what the girl was saying was abruptly stopped in this world... nevertheless, if Tatsu looked around, he could see a figure in the distance, standing idly while looking at the sky.
"Nani...? Aha... so desu ne." The other person was female, speaking in a tongue barely understandable unless Tatsu was of Japanese origin. "Motto emono... airashidesu~" The girl seemed to be waiting for something, as she looked over at her opponent, eyeing him up and down as if he were her next meal. If Tatsu tried, he'd find that he wouldn't be able to actually open his system menu to log out of the game, and any attempt to actually remove the equipment from himself would prove fruitless. For all that it seemed, he was trapped in this game right now.
"Sate, no wa hajimemashou..."

Shadow Rita:
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Reversed Sun —Description: Shadow Rita's Reverse Arcana gives her more aptitude towards the darkness than its upright counterpart. Unlike the Sun, the Reverse Sun gives her an extra of 5% bonus when using Darkness Skills.
—Strength Name: Burning Phoenix —Description: Shadow Rita's True Self form is representative of her regular self's suppressed desire to reach further and further, and harness her own power. As such, it manifests as a pair of wings formed out of fire that she can use to hover in the air and travel a lot faster than by running. She can't fly outright, but it's enough to at least get some height in the sky.
—Strength Name: Pain Inhibition —Description: This Shadow is completely inert, it feels absolutely no pain and can keep going even through severe trauma such as the loss of a limb without scarring in her concentration. While the shock of such an extreme loss does harm her and quite a lot, the example used was simply for demonstration, as she wouldn't be able to continue fighting without a limb.
—Strength Name: Unorthodox Fighting Style —Description: Shadow Rita is a prime example of an unorthodox fighter, as she can smoothly chain various attacks at high speed while involving physical force in them. This is due to her other self's training previous to becoming a Shadow. This makes fighting using her limbs even during a chain of comboes much easier.
—Strength Name: Supernatural Strength —Description: Once entering her True Self form, Shadow Rita can harvest a sort of physical strength that would surpass any human easily if she were to use it. Even while not transformed, she's comparable to an adult man in physical strength.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Madness —Description: While the real Rita was smart and was able to read an opponent using her skill, this Shadow is anything but, working off pure instinct as she attacks like an animal. While this makes her moves complex and even random at times, understanding her psyche can be key to reading her moves exactly. This also means she doesn't exactly take into account whether she gets hit or not, making her take more damage as a result.
—Weakness Name: Incoherency —Description: While she's able to speak and say basic phrases, Shadow Rita can't understand complicated lines, simply due to her complete madness and lack of self control. This also makes her not be able to read an opponent as well as her real self could, which, in result, ends up having her not see some moves coming.
—Weakness Name: Reversed Sun - Part 2 —Description: The Reversed Sun isn't all good. Shadow Rita, for possessing such an Arcana, ends up taking 10% more damage from both Ice skills and Light skills, things that obscure the darkness of the Eclipse.
—Weakness Name: Clipped Wings —Description: Due to her wing's nature, Shadow Rita can be shot off the sky quite easily, severely limiting her movement. If she's somehow shot with an ice skill that's of a higher boost than a Tier 1 Fire spell cast by her, it is able to freeze her wings completely, making her unable to fly.
—Weakness Name: Crippling Despair —Description: If Shadow Rita feels like something she's doing is hopeless, she'll simply stop doing it altogether. Even just stopping her fighting and sitting there, idle, not reacting. This is a cronic state of depression inherited from her other self, developed into something that is completely crippling to Shadow Rita's psyche.
Tasu:
Strength and weakness for Tasu: Strengths:
1) Quick Learner Tasu is a fast learner that quickly adapts and adjust to his enemies accordingly. He learns by watching his enemies and at times even taking hits or a hands-on approaches to memorize things well.
2) High senses Tasu is quiet and has an extremely good senses of smell, hearing, and feeling of energy waves making it hard to sneak up on him or attack him with a surprise attacks.
3) Strong While he doesn’t look it Tasu is actually very strong. He can hold his ground against most and packs quiet a punch if he actually hits you. An additional 5% of strength added to any physical attack performed by him.
4) Intelligent Tasu is very clever meaning he is a thinker rather than a actor. He slowly plots out his courses rather than jumps into them head first.
5) Close range to mid-range combat He is a nightmare if one is up close to him or within the reach of his whip. As a result he likes to stay close or within throwing range of his whip.
Weakness
1) Over Analyzer Sometimes Tasu plans too much and as a result can get his own self in trouble with thinking on the issue too hard.
2)High Senses: His high senses comes from the fact that his eye sight both in reality and thus in gaming is bad. As result his character and himself can get highly overwhelmed when too much sound, smell or energy is around. It can confuse him and throw him into an uncontrollable panic where he will attack anything including himself. (This is the panic effect when active. It lasts for two turns before he can get himself back.)
3) Long Range Fighters (a.k.a The Trolls) He has a heck of a time with those off the ground or out of his range as it forces him to work harder to land strikes. This in turn makes him highly annoyed and aggressive. Thus he may mess up if frustrated too much.
4) Left Leg While Tasu is a tank he also has a problem. His left leg is damaged and in turn he limps making him slower in walking and slower in dodging to compensate for this leg’s issues.
5)Ruthless, yet slow The bad thing is that Tasu fights without mercy swing at people when they are down to finish a fight off quickly; however, due to this style he often wears out leaving himself open from time to time for attacks when he backs off from his rapid fire or pauses to reorganize his sense of bearing when people or things roll or avoid things.

Tasu would continue to move through the area, his footsteps taking him closer and closer to the village; however, the young man would find himself frowning as he heard and saw the loud warnings that came from the system. From just blurred colors and sounds alone, he knew something was wrong and so even before hearing the announcement to get off the system, the young man had tried to log out of the game; however….he could not. There was no log out menu…No feeling of his body even registering the commands his brain was giving him. What the hell? Was he…was he unable to log out? Why?
Before the young man could worry about that, the system warnings would get cut off and strange woman would appear on the field. As she appeared she would speak in Japanese as all sounds in the area ceased. Huh…now that was strange and rare. Hardly anyone spoke Japanese on these severs, but this woman did, but what did she mean by her words?
“Nani?” Tasu would ask easily falling into his native language as he frowned a bit perplexed by the girl. Who…who was she? She didn’t seem to be an NPC and why was it that she appeared to be waiting for something…? And what was this talk about prey... or for that matter that strange look she was giving him?
Instinctively, Tasu tensed and took a step back a bit. He had never encountered such an opponent and yet he wasn’t about to back down from a fight either. Sure this one was a bit strange, but maybe strange meant a new challenge. Besides, he needed to face this thing to figure out what the hell was really going on. This chick came with warnings like a virus did…so if he defeated her would he be free?
Guess there was only one way to find out.
He would give the other a smirk as his foot slid back some more as his covered hands moved into a defensive position before him and his weight settled evenly upon his legs. Still watching the girl, he would open one hand and gesture at her as he spoke.
“Tsugini kimasu,” was the soft command before the boy was falling silent awaiting his appoint to make a move.
Actions: > Gives opponent the chance for a first strike.

A soft cackle emerged from the mouth of the Shadow, continuing to grow louder and louder until it engulfed the entire area in its demonic sound. If Tasu wanted to escape this game, he'd have to fight for his life this time.
"Arturia..."
The laugh stopped suddenly as a red-colored tarot card depicting the Reversed Sun Arcana floated down to the girl's hand. "Sorera o koroshimasu..." In just a second, she clasped her fist around the card, making it shatter with a sound very similar to breaking glass. As this happened, the whole field seemed to dim into an obscure shade, the sky darkening into a bloody red hue as a vortex of black-colored flames appeared in between the fighters, about 4 meters away from Tasu.
From the flames, another figure appeared, clad in pitch-black armor coursing with red-colored glowing veins. In the distance, he could see the sun that was shining brightly before had now turned into a shadow of itself, obscured by something in its way... Eclipsed.
In one second, the new figure seemed to leap forward with incredible force, crossing the 4 meters easily in one bounce as she held her onyx sword in one hand. Once she was near Tasu, she'd immediately bring her left hand into his stomach before cutting with her sword in a diagonal motion, bringing it up to the sky before using the momentum to cut from his left shoulder to his right knee. If he tried to counter with his weapon, he'd find that this attack would go right through it, seeing as the enemy wasn't using a Soulbound Weapon herself.
The one that summoned this one, however, seemed to crouch down before jumping upwards, a string of flames appearing on her back to form a pair of burning wings. This allowed her to hover now off the ground, a full two meters. This wasn't all, though, as she seemed to rush at the her opponent with surprising speed, crossing 8 meters in little more than a half a second. She'd deviate to the side, though, and keep her distance to around two meters in order to prepare for her next action. The Shadow's hand, however, seemed to be propped at her side, wide open, as if waiting for something.

Tasu narrowed his eyes at the strange girl as he heard the laugh that filled the area with a demonic air. This girl….she wasn’t part of the game was she? No…she was something outside of the system rules….meaning---
Tasu eyes would widen slightly as he saw the girl pulled out a familiar looking card tainted red. Th-that wasn’t possible. How could she have that when her class was something else? Who was this girl? The questions grew even more as the arena they were in seemed to change. The sky becoming red and the light eclipsed by darkness….
What the hell? This all felt too real to be a game, but if that was the case that begged the question just how had the system been hacked by this being before him? With a million and one questions floating about, Tasu did what he could to focus as the thing before him summoned a persona.
“Anata ga tamesu koto ga dekimasu,” he would tell the strange woman and then he was in action. The persona came charging at him like lightning, its left fist snapping outward to hit him in the stomach. Tasu barely had time to react and would take a step back and in lean in the opposite direction causing the punch to miss him by inches; however, just as one attack missed the main one smacked into him like a truck. The heavy sword hit his shoulder and moved down to his knee causing him to fly back and land on his side heavily. It hurt! It really hurt, but how was that even possible? This was a flippin’ game! Tch!
Grunting, Tasu would get up only to find himself in a different form of bind. The owner of the persona had used some power to not only fly, but also to get close to him. He could feel the heat of her power next to him as she took on a strange stance. Noticing this, Tasu would roll away from her coming back to his feet, making sure to her and the persona were in view. As he got into a kneeling position a blood red tarot card would appear before him.
“Kimasu Hachiko!” he would say as he swung his free hand to grab the card and crush it. As the sound of breaking glass filled the area, purple flames would appear and a few feet behind the girl a strange rabbit like creature would appear.
The rabbit would let out a strange sound as it performed a strange pair of punch that was aimed at the girl; however instead of physically hitting her, the punch would appear as ghostly punches covered in spikes coming directly at her despite her height and right behind that came another punch. As this occurred, Tasu would stand and switch his weaponry going for his chain instead. As he got the item in his hand he would sling out his chain aiming to get it to wrap around the woman and bind her in its links. If he could get her with that, his next hit would be unavoidable.
So damage taken: 66+150%=99+66=165*.40=165-66=99 damage So: 422-99=323 HP
Counter: 1. Twin Shot | Inflicts a moderate amount of Pierce damage twice to one enemy. | 16% HP | Tier 2 So: 422*.16=67-323=256
Damage output if struck: 76*.50=38+76=114*.30=34+114 =148 twice. Critical on 5 for both

"Muda da." As soon as the rabbit made its sound, the Shadow would move towards it, picking it up with a flaming claw around her hand all the while keeping her eyes on the User. She was her True Self right now, a lowly Persona wouldn't get the better of her. In just a moment, if the thing could even escape with the Shadow's superior speed, it'd immediately burn up in flames from the hand of the Shadow herself. Unless it could somehow free itself, the hits wouldn't come. Of course, that wasn't to say she wasn't ready with something else.
"Muda... muda muda muda muda!" Her Soulbound Weapon, a sword just like her Reverse Persona's, was summoned to her already outstretched hand as she propped it upwards, hooking it onto the chain and letting it warp around the blade. With a single pull, Tasu would feel his whole body being dragged off the ground and towards the Shadow with a kind of strength no human could match, enough to pull him straight to her.
"Muda dayo!"
On her other hand, a sleek handgun appeared, the beast quickly propping it against the airborne Tasu's head and delivering three quick shots. One thing that could be noted in this battle was that the pain felt all too real. Even if this was a game, Tasu could feel all the blows, every single hit that was put on him, he'd feel it in his real body. In fact, where was his real body? The shots delivered weren't real bullets. In fact, they seemed to leave his actual head intact... but the pain? It would be excruciating. Like a spearhead drilled through his forehead. His Persona too, if it couldn't actually escape, would feel immense pain from the burning flames, more than any other attack delivered at all so far. The attack wouldn't affect Tasu, though, no, but his Persona would feel itself suffering from that without doubt.

Hachiko’s hits went, but the moves were cut short by the strange girl suddenly grabbing it with a flaming hand. With a strange screech, the persona was grabbed unable to really dodge or fight against pain when it was in such a bind. It was hurting and would quickly vanish back into Tasu as it was struck by the attack. While the owner felt no pain from the attack, it could sense the agitation of the other as it growled lightly in his mind and tried to recover.
Yeah…this was definitely not a game anymore. If she could do that, then somehow she was quite real. The hows and whys of this whole situation would have to wait. All Tasu knew is that he had to survive as he gritted his teeth as another problem showed itself. The tricky woman had used a sword to block his chain letting the item wrap around the sword instead of her. Clever. Even more clever was what she did next. She used the now caught chain to her advantage yanking the warrior right off his feet and towards her.
When he was close to her, he felt the coldness of a barrel upon his head and for that split second time seemed to slow down for him. The barrel was at his head, so he shifted his weight in the air causing his body to lean and move away from the barrel of the gun as his free hand shot upward aiming for the gun hand. If successful, the upward blow would push the gun upward and away from him causing the shots fired to be fired into the air instead upon him.
As the bullets were forced away from him, he would fall with his weight and then use the tangled chain to yank on the sword it was still wrapped around with all his might. If he was successful, the yank would off balance and lower the flyer enough that he could perform a ground attack.
When she was within range, he would tug on the chain again to pull her nearer and keep her off balance before he was moving forward. His free hand would ball into a fist and come directly at the woman aiming for her chest as deadly spikes gleamed from within the knobs on the gloves.
Counter: 1. Despite being pulled towards the shadow, Tasu manages to use the time frame he is in the air to counter the gun by shifting his weight in the air to get out of the way and then force the gun upward to fire into the air. As a result no damage is done. He falls to the ground afterwards and then pulls on his chain to try to get Shadow Rita into his physical attack range.
If he is successful, he moves in and attempts to punch her in the chest with his gauntlet.
If successful: 73*.60 (from pierce master and tarukaja)=43+73=116 pierce damage from his dex attack.

Unfortunately for Tasu, no, it wasn't enough. If it wasn't clear by now, Shadow Rita's strength was more than inhuman, and while the hits knocked the gun off course partly, the bullets would still make very clear damage even if they grazed against his temple. One clear thing was, even if one bullet went off course and missed him, the barrel would be adjusted immediately and quicker than he could retaliate, making two bullets hit him straight in the forehead regardless. In fact, not even his pull on the chain would be enough to make the Shadow twitch, as her strength kept her hold clean and firm. It let up a slight bit, but it was righted almost immediately afterwards.
"Ufufu... hahahahaha!" The Shadow would cackle maniacally as she had risen even further, now three meters off the ground gradually, with Tasu hung near her. She'd let her sword vanish as she dropped the chain, letting the player fall to the ground harmlessly. A look in her eyes showed that she wasn't done, though.
"Shinu." The Reverse Persona moved again, immediately as soon as Tasu was dropped, nearing his back. The plumes of flames on the Shadow changed color into a bright blue hue as her whole expression seemed to change. Arturia, propping up her sword, quickly began chanting a small English tune. If Tasu turned around now, he'd see the Reverse Persona's blade be showered in black flames, covering the thing from tip to hilt. In just a short span, the relatively short girl would slam her blade into the ground, shooting out a wave of dark energy straight at Tasu in a shockwave pattern, expanding out to 5 meters on both his sides and covering his full height. If he couldn't find a way to dodge this, he'd see his whole vision be engulfed in darkness as a force assaulted him from within, tearing through his insides.
At the same time, the blue flamed Shadow would shoot at him with a rapid force, much faster than her attacks previously, and would slam the ground right in front of him hard, unearthing a pillar of flames from right underneath the player and causing it to shoot out around him in a radiant blue glow. After those attacks were done, a blue-colored flame claw would appear on the Shadow's right hand as she attempted to drive it through the player's chest and, consequently, his heart. This still did damage to his, soul, though, as he would find that it hurt a lot more than just getting pierced in the chest did, and that was a lot. Even if the dark flames didn't hit him initially, the Shadow would still continue with her attacks, manipulating her Dark Skill with both of her bodies to distort around her, creating a large crest over Tasu, in which she could stand safely without being hit by her own attack.

The move he had used to avoid being shot worked somewhat effectively. While the gun was knocked off course as he went down, he felt the wind of one bullet miss him completely, but the other two hit him square in the head causing an immense headache. The pain was so bad he barely felt her sword give a bit or even had time to land correctly as he instead ended up landing and flopping to the side. His world was spinning, but somehow he was still alive and his head in one piece. The pain he felt ripping through him was a soul bound hacking into him. It hurt like hell, but he had to focus.
Wincing in pain as the chain fell in a pile next to him he would look up at the insane shadow seeing her form change as both her and her persona did an attack together. The first attack he heard coming from the strange persona as she chanted. As soon as he heard the sound he would begin to move as he muttered in a different language a spell. As he muttered the spell, a blue shield of energy would surround him as he slid to a halt and placed his arms in front of him to guard his face.
The dark attack would smack into him, but he would still stand as this smacked into him from above those bullets would rain upon him, each one landing with painful accuracy as he continued to guard against the assault. When the fire came he was knocked back as the flames hit him and then the heavy slash that followed had him on the ground. There was too much pain and the world was fading as his eyes closed. The player did not get back up….
Calculations: Strong against pierce damage: 92/2 =46 46*2=92*.40=36-92 = 56 damage for first two shots since one missed. Tasu cast shield of magic and then guards. Damage from Morgan: 228/2 (from guarding)=114*.55(30* from shield 25% from ME)=62-114= 52 Damage from bullets = 46*3=138*.40=55-138= 83 Damage from Agidyne: 201/2=100-201=101*.55=101-55= 46 Damage from Heavenly Sword: 189*2=378/2=189*.40=75-189= 144 Grand Total: 46+56+52+83+46+144=427 Overkill!
------------- The screen would read in corrupted letters:
O...er...ll..d...su...K...d...ssssssss.....
However, the player would not notices this for unexpectedly he had stopped playing becoming still for a while his controller slipping out of his hand before he began to sway and then fall off of his chair. The girls next to him let out a startled scream and gasps as others came over to see what had happened or help this player that had for no reason passed out during a playing session within the cafe.
-----------
Meanwhile back in the game world Tasu was indeed still alive despite being badly hurt and unconscious, but now he was at the mercy of the shadow girl....Did this mean he would really die if she planned to attack?

"Hehehe... hahahahahahahaha!" As Tasu fell, the cackle once again could be heard around the area and even he, unconscious, could still see the figure standing right next to him with an animal-like stance, contorted and wild, inhuman, to say the least... it ended soon enough, though, as the Shadow seemed to walk up to him, lifting her claw...
"I won't let you!"
Coming from behind the Shadow, Tasu could see another figure, fairly similar to his opponent, but with distinct features.
"The World! Stop time!"
That phrase would be all Tasu would hear before the Shadow simply winked out of existence, not there anymore. He was unconscious, but now, he was safe, at least. Whatever the other woman did, it was done to at least get him to safety. In the real world, he'd be carried to the hospital on an ambulance and put into his own room. In just a few hours, however, he'd wake up without trouble... except he could still feel bruises in his body. Pain from the battle and he had the marks to show for them. If he examined his chest, there was a clear scar where the Shadow pierced it, but doctors deemed it not life-threatening. Perhaps the player had something to be relieved about.
