It had all started on what was seemingly a normal day. Everything had been peaceful on Penecia Island until around lunchtime, when disaster struck. A black mass of clouds filled the sky in an instant, blocking out almost all sunlight. The silence that followed was deafening. The inhabitants of Penecia stared at the black mass above them, and... after a short while, something rock-shaped fell from the sky, smashing violently into the ground... It's surface was smooth, almost looking like an egg of some description, sharing the same color as the clouds above... Soon, cracks would start to form... Whatever was inside wanted to get out... And the instant it did break free, the creature lashed it's clawns and fangs at any nearby civilians, killing untold numbers in it's feeding frenzy, until it reached the biggest top... The Undying Unity was set on devouring every single human on this very island... And unless it was stopped, it would move on to the next island...

"Looks like someone let their pet loose. Hey, shit monster! You have any idea where you are?" With a crackle of a whip, a mass of silver seemed to call over from atop a balcony before jumping out of it and landing on the street with a powerful thud, a pair of golden wings sprouting from behind her as a large bird flew atop her, perching itself on the same balcony and looking at the mass of goop.

"I'll teach you to mess with this world."

A swirl of fire erupted from the silvernette's hand as she slammed it into the ground, creating a pillar of fire in between the creature and her that expanded into a dome, creating an arena for the battle that was 40 meters in diameter. This thing would learn not to mess with a User's shit. She wouldn't attack it so far, but the firey dome that stood was made to prevent anyone else from entering the field, and would incinerate the beast should it even try to touch it. It was nearly impenetrable unless someone had something stronger than it as well, and of course, it wasn't meant to be broken.

Hou-ou flew from the sky to land on Rita's extended arm, eyeing the black beast with its ferocious eyes. "Come at me." Best to deal with this now before it got too out of hand.

With a slightly annoyed hiss, the beast turned around, looking directly at the girl with it's bright shining eyes. The flames were certainly annoying, but nothing that was worth worrying about... This little brat was going to end up dying, just like the rest of them. SHe was merely food... Food that fought back. Which made all this more interesting... Lashing it's tongue wildly as it let out a sharp shriek, now ready for battle.

Calling upon his inner strength, the very earth itself seemed to turn against Rita, with massive spikes, as thick as tree trunks, made of black asphalt seeking to impale every little thing in the vicinity, including that white haired brat. No one puts this beast in a cage. This island was his domain now, and nothing this girl did or said would make them think otherwise! "GRYAAAAH!"

Looks like the thing really wanted to die. Rita simply dodged the spikes with her superior speed, the beast underestimated how fast she could be, and let Hou-ou vanish. The silvernette began running at the thing as her weapon turned into a mass of flames, now swirling around her arm like they were intending to burn every single thing in the vicinity. The spikes here a hindrance, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with in time. She simply navigated through them, letting the dome of flames sit pretty as she jumped around with the fire swirling around her arm. Soon enough, she was close to the beast, but hidden behind on of the pillars it created to hide herself. Did it actually think that this would help it?

The Black creature hissed in frustration. Why wouldn't this brat die like everyone else? The fire ring was annoying... And was she really planning on attacking him head on? The beast wasn't going to let this be up to chance anymore. A ghastly mist covered the entire surrounding area... The girl would most certainly feel it's weakening effects... She wanted to play? Well, that was all fine and dandy... After all, he had his own bag of tricks to employ. If she were going to treat this like any other fight, she would fall...

Rita simply smirked and switched again to Hou-ou, looking at the creature as her Persona flew up into the sky, screeching at it. A strange light shone on it, and it could definitely feel that it was losing a lot of power... almost like it was being drained. Did it think that something like this would make her weep? No. She simply leaned onto the spike, resting for a moment as she tapped her foot on the floor. Too simple.
