Of course the natural test of waters didn’t mess up Charles. She simply took the hit and fell backwards. However, yet again Charles failed to use the attack to its full potential and take advantage of essentially a free hit, and since all he did was punch forward towards the ground, Justine could simply roll away, once again demonstrating how agile she could truly be, avoiding the attack by rolling to the side and landing on Charles’ right while the Persona was on his left corner. This time, she would send her leg under his other as he made a kick upwards, expecting her to stand up after noticing what he could do. Since he was busy with kicking above her or otherwise not doing anything, she figured that he could not notice the sudden trip from under him that would attempt to bring him to the ground. While that was happening, Cu Chulainn would make another several stabs, this time at Charles himself, bringing his lance forward and attacking him from one end while Justine attacked from another. This left Charles between a rock and a harder rock as he would either let himself be pummeled, or be taken to the ground and pummeled. Truly a formidable woman underneath that adorable exterior Justine was.

Too bad his Persona was still there when Justine tried to bring him down and stab him with her Persona's attack. It was dumb of him, overlooking her movement and letting her trip him while he was distracted. Luckily, his Persona would just fly over as he fell to the floor, throwing its fist at the spear, cutting its movement from the side opposite to Justine's, aiming at her as well. Seeing as the attack would break through the spear anyways, then why not make the most of it? It wasn't a direct attack though. It was more of a distraction, allowing Charles to get back up and circle around Justine and the two Personas, coming in at her from the other side, opposite to his Persona. That way Justine would have been cornered and opened for another volley of kicks, but he didn't do that. He merely stood there, somewhat rattled, watching Justine. She was good, maybe even too good for him. He only really landed one hit on her and even that one was because she let him. He wasn't gonna give up, though. Rather, he took up a defensive position, nudging Justine over to change to offense. All this time, she had just been blocking and dancing around his attacks, holding herself back. If he wanted to learn something more, he had to get a taste of how the other side should act. Besides, if she were to go all out on him, he would also have gained new battle experience as he would be learning from one of the best, apparently. His Persona faded away as he waited for the reaction...

Since Charles was successfully dropped, and his Persona chose to slam down then towards Justine, Charles getting up would put him directly in the line of fire of his own attack since she was on one side of him, and the Persona on the other. If Charles had his Persona attack, in order to stop the Persona AND hit Justine then Charles would be in heavy danger if he got up at all, which would not be a pretty sight given that the man does quite the deal of damage. Charles needed to be rather specific with his maneuvers and how his Persona acted if he wanted to avoid this obvious risk, as well as where he was on the battlefield, as something like this looked pretty obvious to avoid. Even if he were to wait until the attack was done, Justine had the upper hand. It seemed his plan was to use that attack as a trick, but if that truly was his intention, then he most likely would get clobbered with a large fist, to which Justine would allow Cu Chulainn to vanish, and roll to the side seeing as she was still low to the ground while the skill would hit Charles. If Charles waited until the end of the attack, then Justine would still decide to shift over, and with her book, smack Charles while he was on the ground several times, or if he was quick to get up, smack him while he was recovering since he was also not specific on where he would circle around. For all Charles knew, he could be running straight into her. "Wake up wake up!" If Charles decided to take his hit, she would have begun backing away gaining more distance to about six to seven meters once more. If she had to smack him with her book, then she would not get as far; however either way a Persona would be summoned near her, and with it a lightning bolt would extend to bridge the distance to a total of nine meters and be swung towards Charles at a horizontal angle from the direction of his Persona to around five meters from the other side akin to a swipe from a whip, before it quickly vanished.

Seeing as how he was at a disadvantegous position, Charles would make his Persona target Cu Chulainn instead of Justine with the Bash, stopping his attack and smashing him straight into the ground several meters diagonally from Justine's position before disappearing into the cloud of dust the attack caused. This meant none of the movement from last turn ever occured. With the two Personas now gone from the picture for the moment, Charles attempted to get up by pushing himself backwards with his hands from the sitting position. This, in turn, left him open for Justine's attack. Darn it, she was fast. Charles wouldn't be able to do much so he'd let the book hit him, but he would spin alongside the rotation of the strike despite flinching a bit and letting a shallow "Tch.", taking several steps backwards as he did so and swinging his leg right at Justine's hand holding the book. With a bit of luck, he would manage to kick it out of her hand, but in any case, tt should have blocked the second blow and he could still jump off half a meter away as Justine did the same, falling back into the distance, before stopping and noticing a new Persona, this one swinging some sort of an electric attack at him. It was interesting how this girl formatted her attacks. A thunderous whip? Too bad it was easily avoidable, so he could just jump over it as it reached his position, making a horizontal rotation in the air above the whip coming in from above using his spine as the axis, like some skilled and jumping back on his two feet.  This was getting problematic, he had to somehow finish her as soon as possible or this would drag on forever. His eyes narrowed as his Persona appeared behind him, extending its hand towards Justine as a purpleish glowing aura appeared around her, only to shatter moments later, leaving her defenses weakened.

Charles didn't seem to do anything, other than weaken her defenses. Justine tilted her head confused. If Charles wasn't going to do anything else, then she would do something herself. Her Persona began to fly to the other side of Charles as Justine immediately closed the gap, summoning her book back in her hands instantly even after it was knocked away previously. From there she would make a sideways smack from her right towards Charles' head, however this was a fakeout, and before she made the full swing, she would drop her hand and body and turn the strike to his abdomen. Meanwhile, the Persona on the other side would charge forward towards him, coated in lightning. The Persona herself was about a foot and a half, but the coating of the lightning turned it into a projectile that expanded to a couple meters around, charging right for him. The attack looked pretty intense, but it could be avoided if you knew what you're doing.

As Justine dropped and slammed her book straight into his abdomen instead of the head (he put his hands up to guard his face), Charles was caught off guard, but didn't flinch. As soon as Justine hit him, he dropped to her right, stepping forward with his left foot as he turned around to use his right leg and hit Justine's back, pushing her at her own Persona's attack trajectory, which was aimed at him. He would try to move at a distance of around 2 meters away after striking Justine and there, he would summon back his Persona, getting it ready to attack. He lowered her defenses, this was the time to strike. His Persona would raise its hands and lunge them at Justine, creating a vortex of cinders that would envelop the area around her in a 1.5 meter radius.

When Charles flipped around him, Justine herself would simply hop over to the side and allow the Pixie to continue her attack past her and straight onto him, crashing through his Persona and hitting it, but also aiming for Charles himself. Again, Charles was not utilizing his attacks to its fullest potential, so all Justine needed to do was retreat backwards into a sort of sprint and she could avoid the attack fairly easily. Charles was not fighting hard enough, for with such a small range, it was rather easy to escape. "Come at me as though you mean to kill me! Make this last move count!" she said, waving at him as though taunting.

As if the time had stopped, Charles watched her gracefully evade both his attacks once again. Not only that, but she sent her Persona straight at him. She was getting on his nervous by that point. He understood he had to stay calm but still... All this time he had been targetting nothing because she would dance around him, flicking her tail and wearing that smiling face. His decision was immediate. He had no choice, the Pixie burst through his Persona (which dissapeared after getting hit) and was heading straight at him. It was time...

3.. 2.. 1..

Right when the Pixie would've hit him with her, he would jump to his right with agility he had not yet shown throughout the duration of their fight, completely avoiding the electrical attack. It was Orgia Mode. He knew he wasn't going to last in Orgia Mode, but he had to somehow beat her. Still being close to her, it wasn't difficult getting in a good position to utilize his attacks. As if carried by an invisible lifeline, his Persona appeared, follwing the motion of his arms in an arch as he pointed them towards Justine. His Persona shot out a series of flames not at Justine but behind Justine in a half-moon shape which trapped her escape route, only leaving the part between her and Charles intact by flames so that he could pass and start his assault. The flames shot up into the sky like a fence, reaching the height of around 4 meters-too high for her to jump over, hopefully. His Persona disappeared after casting the skill and Charles moved in towards Justine. He was moving faster and with greater force than before, thanks to his Orgia mode. He ran over to Justine in a matter of mere seconds, throwing 2 kicks towards her from both sides, first from the right and second from the left. If she would've tried escaping, she would've been caught in the flames around her and if she stayed she would've been pushed into the flames by Charles' mighty kicks. He paid attention not to fall into his own fire, of course, and if she attempted to somehow grab hold of his hand or leg and throw him off balance, he would've been able to react quickly enough to pull back said arm/leg thanks to Orgia Mode. The flames were shot out in a 2 meter radius behing Justine. If she tried dancing around him to avoid his first kick, he'd follow up with a lightning fast reaction, spinning around and directing a new kick towards her new position.

Right when he unleashed his Orgia Mode, Justine had Pixie fire back past her to the crescent moon flames, crashing into it and bringing the flames down. Since the flames had not moved or made into a motion and shot from the ground, the clash would not affect her even though it was an AoE skill. From then, she could simply leap backwards. Though Charles may not have realized, but his potential with Orgia Mode could skyrocket. If he really wanted to, he could pursue her as she fled and catch her off guard. However, during her leap, Pixie vanished, and she would have her book vanish. "Good work! But I think this is plenty Charles! Fighting all done!" She shouted with glee.

Charles was about to follw up his failed attack with another kick when Justine's retracte her Persona, letting it fade away along with the book she had been holding-her weapon. He halted the leg mere inches away from the girl's cheekbone, stepping back after doing so. She said it was enough. She could probably somehow sense he was at his limit. She was still wearing the same happy-go-lucky attitude though. Heh. He looked down at her curiously and nodded. There was no point in continuing this on. "So... How did I do?" He asked her. He knew he could've done much better than he showed, but getting some feedback was always helpful. She was good though. He got a feeling if she hadn't been holding back, he would've been scrap metal by then.

Justine nodded, going over something in her Compendium before looking at him. "Not bad. Work more on execution of your attacks, and you'll go plenty far!" She said. Charles seemed to get the acting with his Persona down, he simply needed to work more on actual strategy. With those two assets together, he could be a formidable force to deal with.

Execution. True, she was easily able to dodge all of his attacks, only letting him hit once on purpose to see if he would be able to see through her tricks. But still, how does one strategize?

He thanked the girl and left the room, deep in thought. It was a frustrating fight, but it was over now and he got some new experience from it. He didn't see anything wrong.

Charles has left the scene...
