Updated: 20/07/2020

**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. Over the Summer, we aim to make many changes to the forum, including writing a comprehensive beginners' guide to help new players accommodate to the combat and other rp systems in place here.

Be sure to constantly check the update thread for any changes to the boards. You can find it ->Here<-

The Velvet Room. Charles had only visited the place once before, and it was by chance. Apparently, it was a place hidden between the concious and unconcious, only those who held the power of Persona could enter. It was an interesting world, not anything like the parallel worlds or the real world. When he was inside, it truly felt as if he wasn't completely awake, as if he was halways falling into deep slumber. He now once again stood in front of the blue door, ready to open them. This time, however, he had a reason in coming here. It wasn't much different than the last time, though. It was to... investigate.

Yes, Charles wanted to learn more about the Velvet Room. A place of such a strong influence must've held some hidden power inside of itself. Besides, if he was going to be of any use in the team, he should go learn more about everything he assumed the others have already known. And so he let the key slide down until it clicked and the door creeked open, revealing to him the underwater world they so vigilantly preserved.

Charles stepped inside and closed the door behind himself, clearing his throat. Last time, there was only Akumu there, but now, there were more people, most likely other Attendants. "Hello." He called out. If any of them answered, it would be fine. He just wanted to ask about things.

Out from the blue waters of the ship, a bubbly girl hopped from near the other end to show up to Charles, her book in front of her face, and her nibbling on an edge. "Hello! I haven’t seen you come here before! What are you doing here? Welcome to the Velvet Room! If you need anything, feel free to ask. My name is Justine!” she said, looking at him with gleaming eyes, clearly interested in seeing a new guest to the room, especially someone like this man, who she could tell was not like other humans.

"A-ah, hi." Charles greeted the girl. He nodded. "Yeah, it's actually my second time here, but I don't think we've met. I'm Charles." He offered her a hand as greeting. There was something in her eyes, like that time with Sky, but different. He shuddered, the meeting with Sky was just horrible. In any case, this girl offered to answer his questions and he wasn't gonna let the opportunity to waste.

"I'm just interested in this place. It's boggling to even stand here like this, surrounded by water. You're an attendant, right?" She had the clothes and the book, but he had to make sure. However, now that he was ready to ask away, he couldn't think of any proper questions... "So, what do you do around here? I know Attendants should help the Persona Users, but how exactly?" He somehow mashed up a concise sentence. Maybe the rest of the conversation would kind of add on to that.

"Meee? I help Persona-Users learn how to fight when they are up against other people that aren't Shadows! Sometimes it may happen, and they need to know how to fight. It is my job to help teach them!" she said, looking to Charles as though he were a new specimen for such an act. Justine was certainly quirky, and for such a cheerful girl to be in charge of fight-training seemed to hint at something scary behind that adorable face.

"Oh, you help with fighting training!" Charles exclaimed, apparently unfazed by the look she had been giving him. Actually, he didn't seem to have even noticed it. Instead, he clapped. "Would you mind fighting me, then? I'd like to see how well I can do that against other people. Shadows are one thing, but humans are different."

Sure, it was going to be weird fighting a girl like her, but still, he needed the training. He didn't even know how well he could fare in such a fight.

When he asked, she would nod several times, before fleeing and running down one of the hallways from the ship. Should Charles follow, he would see through the room, a large room fit enough for a fight, yet somehow looked too large for the ship. This truly was an odd place….regardless, Justine flipped to a page in her book, and pulled from one of its pages a card, that symbolized the very Arcana Charles stood for, the Emperor. The card would break into shards, and behind her, a beautiful man with wings and attire stood, drawing a thin blade. She would be about 10 meters from Charles at the door, so not entirely far, and offered a lot of opening shots. It would be up for him to decide how to open up, as she simply stood there, waving to him like he was a long lost friend, signaling the beginning of a fight.

Oh, so she would! Perfect. Charles followed the girl into an unusually large room, where she took a stance, summoning her Persona. Did that mean he could freely summon his Persona in here? Doing one final check up on his evoker before the fight, Charles focused on the girl. There wasn't much distance between them and therefore, if he wanted to close in on her, he could do it without much of an issue. What worried him was the Persona she had summoned. It stood there, looming over her, ready to fight.

Regardless, he wasn't going to accomplish anything by just standing there. If he wanted to fight her, he needed to get up close where he'd be able to strike with his kicks. Besides, if she came at him with her Persona, he'd be able to summon his own to counter it without a hitch. All right, he seemed to have devised a strategy.

Charles would rush at the girl without a word, crossing the distance between them in a matter of 3 long strides before attempting to jab at her right shoulder with his right foot. He would follow up that attack with another kick after landing onto the foot he had just attempted to kick Justine with and making a swift turn, directing the second kick at the area around her waist. The second kick would be performed by his left leg and would be coming in at her from her left. It would also be strong enough to push her to the side a bit unless she blocked or countered it. The kcks weren't as fast and precise as he wanted them to be, but they still packed a punch.

Knowing that three strides even for Charles' size, would not bring him up to where she was, being 10 meters away, she would watch as Charles simply kicked at the air. "Maybe you should get to me first before fighting! It'd be more fun!" She said. Being this far away, still probably around 8 meters, she still had a fair distance, and did not move herself. However, Oberon, the Persona, leaped behind her and shot five meters forward before landing near him, and stabbing the ground with its swords, sending an arc of lightning across the ground, moving from where he was, up to the door in which he came from. The arc itself spread about five meters from the front of the Persona, and the lightning reached up to around ankle length. It was lightning, so it moved without a hitch towards Charles. The major flaw of this attack however is while she had complete ground control over him, it had no air control. It also had a finite range being only an arc that went straight in front of the Persona. How would Charles deal with that she wondered?

Water illusion? She seemed to be closer to him than she really was. Sheesh, way to look dumb, Charles, kicking nothing like that! "I know!" He shouted over at her. "This place, it's messing with my head. Akh, what now?" He wanted to try and move in closer again when her Persona flew over and cut his path off, sending a lightning wave at him which spread all around his foothold. The attack, coming at such speed and from such close range while he was still somewhat distracted, left not many openings for Charles. He took a step backwards as a blueish mist surrounded him, folowed by a whizzing sound. His Persona emerged right in front of him with its arms crossed on its chest and a vortex of flames surrounded the android, cutting off the electric attack the other Persona sent at him. His Persona focused the flames into its fist before smashing it into the floor in front of itself, sending the fire attack directly at Oberon which would've resulted in a decently sized explosion around the Persona. Huitzi faded away with the fire, moments later, leaving only the resounding echo as a memento of its attack.

"..." If the attack was succesful, Charles would rush at Justine, not thinking twice now that the other's Persona was engulfed in flames. He would try and reach her without much worry as he was now prepared for possible surprise attacks coming from her Persona, immediately dropping before her on his left foot and both hands to serve as a hold while he swung the right leg at the area below her knees. Regardless of the kick's success, he'd follow it by regaining hisstanding position in a matter of seconds while throwing a left leg spin kick at her face, trying to hit her with his heel.

If, however, the attack on Oberon failed, Charles wouldn't have been left with much options but to wait, scanning the other's actions for any sort of possible openings.

Naturally the attack was a success. Oberon was hit and vanished. Though during the attack, Justine would be gaining distance from him, leaving them at around twelve meters apart. During the backpeddling, she had pulled a card from her book, this time of the Empress Arcana, and soon after the flame cleared, a figure was now in his sights as he made his way to her. So as Charles was coming, he would definitely not see coming the sudden distance they now shared along with a lovely green fairy about six feet standing in front of Justine. Perhaps if he chose to assault as he was attacking, or perhaps used the attack in some way to get distance himself, then Justine would not have the rather large opening she did. Since in order for Charles to run at her while the flames blazed, he would have to come from an angle, or run through his own attack and take damage. Or wait until the attack cleared then ran through it giving her more time to gain distance. But Charles she imagined was smarter than that.

Sunken flames (Attendant Justine - PvP practice) Titania2

Having said that, the Persona, Titania as Charles was rushing towards him, began to hop forward as he dropped to kick towards her, and would send a mighty foot down upon him as Justine would back away. The foot would be covered in green wisps and at the point of contact, whether it would be on the ground or right over his face seeing as how he dropped his body and put him straight to the ground, would burst forward as a ball about human sized. Charles being on the ground had options, though he was at a disadvantage, now attacking something immune to soulbound attacks. He also had stayed in place, meaning he had an even bigger window to be hit. But he was not without hope. The major weakness to this attack is that it only had one direction. It was not impossible to avoid, but you could say Charles walked right into that one. It was becoming clear what Justine's game was and how she fought. Her tactics had nice safety but flaws that could potentially prevent from from true decisive hits. But they seemed to be keeping away Charles, so she was happy!

The sudden appearance of a second Persona caught Charles off guard, but still, he had enough time to respond to the attack. Since he had just dropped, he used the left leg and his hands (which he stood on while swining his right leg) to push himself to the right, rolling away several feet from the attack and landing back up on his feet. Seeing as Justine wasn't out of range despite having backed away, he summoned his Persona and it swung one of its stone fists directly at her. The fist was as big as Justine and, since the fists were detached from the actual hands of the Persona, it gave the attack a range of around 2 meters, give or take a few cm. As his Persona attacked Justine, Charles rushed to his right around his Persona so that now, his Persona had been standing directly between Titania and him as he quickly made his way towards Justine so that he could strike as soon as thr Bash either hit or made Justine have to dodge it, which would've left her at disadvantageous positing against Charles' kick unless she could react quickly and efficiently enough. He wasn't going to kick until he saw her reaction to Bash, though.

PostSubject: Re: Sunken flames (Attendant Justine - PvP practice)   Sunken flames (Attendant Justine - PvP practice) EmptyThu May 28, 2015 4:17 pm

His attack was fairly well thought out, but he missed one issue in that he completely forgot that Titania could still move around. He chose to not attack her which left her in a better position. As he rolled and summoned his Persona, Titania would fly to Justine's side and summon a current of wind under her feet, which lifted her a couple feet high, and allowed her to essentially glide to the side as though she were doing an ollie on a skateboard. The wind itself being under her feet would practically hurl her to the side but keep her within it's currents without actually hurting her on accident as the winds were flying all around her and using her as a sort of bullet; the bustling winds being pushed against his Persona and striking it on the way past it. Since his skill was physical it had little resistance against this sudden blast of wind. The flaw with Charles' attack was that it focused on one point, and he had forgotten that her Persona was still there to help her. He also needed to exercise more practice with other various attacks. Once she landed around eight meters away from Charles and his Persona, Titania would vanish. "You're focusing too hard on having you and your Persona act separately! You need to work together with them!" She said flailing her arms. That was another flaw in Charles' fighting. He himself acted separately from his Persona, and also hesitated until the Persona attacked, which always gave Justine the way out. If Charles had been attacking with his Persona or doing something perhaps unexpected, Justine would have less of a chance to dodge the attacks he had been throwing. The Persona is you, and it would move and fight to your command. Justine only exercised a small portion of what Titania could have done with that skill. If she wanted she could have done much more, but this was not about winning; it was about helping this young man practice. That was her role as an Attendant no?

Shit, Charles wasn't expecting such a move. His Persona collapsed into the floor with a loud thump, pushed back by the wind. Not only that, but Justine now once again gathered distance between the two. If this kept up, he wasn't going to land a single hit on her! "Tch." He frowned. His Persona was a part of him, eh? It was true, he was at a disadvantage with this fighting style, as Justine could always block either him or his Persona with her own Persona while dodging attacks at the same time. His eyes shifted towards his Persona on the floor. The advice got him thinking... How was he supposed to do such a thing, though? He was close to doing that this last attack judging from her reaction... Dangit, he doubted himself. Then... Hmm...

Charles scanned the area in a split second and, wasting no time, started spurting towards Justine. His Persona faded away already by then, leaving behind itself a blueish mist. The distance between them was around 8 meters... He could reach her pretty easily and quickly, following up with a drop kick to her ankles coming from the right, like last time. This time, however, he was ready and relentless. He wasn't going to let her catch him off guard.

If she decided to jump away without summoning her Persona for a counter-attack, he'd summon his own Persona and throw a Bash at her while she would still be mid-air. The Persona would smash its fist straight into her chest. If she decided to interrupt him with a counter-attack, he'd need to see the attack before deciding on a new course of action.

In a sound of cracked glass and a book closing, a tall male with long hair and a spear that was six feet long appeared beside her as Charles ran for her. Seeing as how he did the exact same thing as before, she would simply flip backwards akin to a cartwheel. But of course, she saw the large Persona attempt to hit her, and had a plan in mind, and in response, Cu Chulainn would lunge forward and thrust his spear at his Persona's hand, cancelling out the attack, and letting Justine flip backwards to gather more distance. Meanwhile, after the first stab, he would stab again and instead of Charles, once again go straight for the Persona attempting to hit it. It was definitely a good change to his strategy his idea. But he needed to be careful and be mindful of what happens when his own attacks got cancelled out. If this attack hit he would also be dangerously close to losing his Persona temporarily. He was getting better, but he needed to be a little bit more synchronous with his Persona if he wanted better shots. Perhaps try an attack with the two at the same time regardless of hitting or failing? His legs being his method of attack did have an advantage, but his biggest flaw was for one, he was always heading for the ground, and were fairly easy to avoid. This time, she would cartwheel backwards up to 5 meters away, leaving them fairly close all things considered, leaving Cu Chulainn near the Persona whether it hit or missed and Charles as well. "Keep going!" she said cheerfully.

"Too weak!" Without a hitch, Huitzi's punch blew straight through Cu Chulainn's spear, which was no match for the sheer power of the blow. That also meant Justine wouldn't have had a chance to pull off her cartwheel and escape. Instead, the Bash would hit her straight on, as it was initially supposed to. Regardless of the outcome, Charles would immediately follow up the Bash by making his Persona conjure up a fireball around its left fist, smashing Justine again with blistering speed, with tiny cinders flowing around it as it moved through the air, eventually being smashed into the floor, with or without Justine getting striken by it. If she somehow managed to avoid the flaming fist, Charles would be ready to engage her again as soon as she would have landed back on her two feet. His Persona would remain stationed firmly behind him on the spot it smashed the floor just in case as Charles would direct a swinging kick with his right leg at Justine's face. The kick would be easy to avoid, in fact, she would have been able to avoid it by throwing her neck backwards. The second kick, however, was a jab directed towards her chest, which held more speed and lenght, seeing as he had to extend his leg completely to pull it off. If the second kick hit, it wouldn't only have dealt damage to her, but it would also have pushed her backwards a bit, depending on how prepared she was at the moment.
