Takeing in a stray (Quinn)

Jack blinked once... then a second time... A third time for good measure... a fourth time for better measure... The fifth time was for slightly worse measure just in case the fourth time had a bit to much measure. Then he blinked a second time again because the second time felt left out of all the measuring and, as we all know, the second time loves measuring more then just about anyone. Ether way, Jack was quite surprised by the sudden departure and return of Quinn from and to the bed... It was undoubtedly his comment that drove them out... But what brought her back in? The only thing it could have possibly been was... The thunder?... Was Quinn afraid of thunder?

"Hehe" Jack would laugh to himself for a moment before climbing under the covers himself facing Quinn,"I wouldn't mind it at all! Though if I'm making you uncomfortable I can always go back to my cold... wet... dirty box. If I hurry I might be able to make it to the poker game after all heh." Jack hoped that his playful jab would calm Quinn down a bit. The last thing he wanted was for them to freak out all night long... Jack had a patrol to do in the morning.

After a few moments of laying under the covers, they felt like the sleepiness sneaking up on them again, though the cracks of thunder kept waking them up the more they tried to sleep. Didn't they have to respond to Jack anyways? "Uhm- No you can stay, it'd be rude to send you out like this anyways." They'd try to forget the sound of thunder that kept making it's way into the room, though it was hard when the sound got louder. After a few minutes, the thunder started to get quieter and happened less and less. "Good thing it's stopping, you seemed pretty scared of the thunder." A slight attempt at a joke, Quinn would start laughing before they felt tired again. It felt like they kept forgetting to speak, like sleep became more and more important, and it really was. Closing their eyes for a moment, they felt asleep without warning, probably leaving Jack talking without answers.

"Quinn?.... Quinn you awake?... I hadn't finished my life story yet!" Jack watched as Quinn fell gently to sleep. Heh... Good. The thunder seemed to be calming down a bit so that's a good sign. Perhaps it's for the best. Jack was feeling the tug of sleep drain on him aswell..

"This bed is so... soft.... mmmm mumbles... about... being sleepy... and other... falling asleep...phrases..........." Jack gently let himself join Quinn in sleep... He had a dream that night about ducks.
