It was odd seeing a small child sit at the back of the bus, the oversized ragged doll clutched in her arms as she stared emotionlessly forward. Half of her face was hidden behind the doll’s bonnet head and red locks, while the other half remained seen to the world. The other passengers on the bus sat suspiciously close to the front of the bus and seemed to not want to look at the young girl at all as she remained quiet in her position, her small feet dangling from the seat and never touching the floor.
When the bus came to her stop, the small girl hefted her doll onto her shoulder, and collected the fallen off arm with her free hand before hopping off the seat and making her way down the aisle. People seemed to try to shrink without moving as she passed by fearful eyes watching her and her broken doll pass from their corners, but she paid them no mind. When she got to the front of the bus, the bus driver opened the doors and in a strained voice told her to have a wonderful day.
Pausing for a moment and looking up at the man with her strange eyes, Arianna simply nodded before hopping down the steps and onto the concrete of the sidewalk. As well polished black shoes hit the ground, the small young lady looked around the area she was in glancing over the stores and what not around her, but none caught her interest. She had one shop in mind that could fix her doll and unfortunately none of these shops were it, so with an disinterest look on her face, the well dressed child and her broken doll, headed down the semi-crowded streets of San Malraus not caring how out of placed she looked as she continued to move. She was headed down the streets to the seamstress shop that could help her poor, poor doll.
