Tropical Mass Awakening (Gran-chan/Those who signed up)

Lunapa island. It seemed like this place was becoming a popular spot for the old being to visit. It had come here to relax, have adventures, and now it was back again this time for business purposes. While Oki had been on the slow train as far as gathering recruits for Deva, it had not been slacking off in gathering as much information that it could regarding who it could trust and who it really should eliminate when it came to Deva’s wish. It was not a murderer by any means, but it was finding the more time it spent as a servant of Deva, the colder its eyes were becoming. Its mentality was slipping to that of a gather that judged the world looking for the good and tossing aside the bad.

While it had no intent of harming without reason, even Oki was beginning to question just what it might do to prove that those with power were useful to Helen and Deva’s wish or just how far it would go to collect the data it sought on angels and the other worlds. Would it step on others, or watch them fall like flies without remorse?

The questions were scary and bothersome. They were emotions the being tried to keep hidden unless alone. It was trying hard not to break, but there was something growing within that was threatening its mental state. But hopefully, the being would be able to hold out against this unknown threat until the mess with these islands were over. It…had too much to lose to break now. No it had to stay strong…

And focused.

Oki blinked as it mentally shook itself from its dazed state. As its eyes focused on the blue skies and the sunlight blocked here and there by thick tree branches and large leaves, Oki remembered quickly why it had come here in the first place. In its hunt for information, it had gotten wind of a rumor. A rumor that said the area around the great tree on Lunapa was a strange place to be in. Curious if this was just some superstition thing or really connected to the rifts and chaos that had been opened up since that announcement, Oki had come back to the island and hunted down the area that was spoken of.

…and when it had arrived there, Oki knew without a doubt that this place was indeed connected to the other side and not just some hoax to get people to come visit the tree. What made the situation so strange was that there was not exactly a physical rift here. No. The being could not find a trace of the strange holes as it looked around and yet the energy in the area was definitely the same as the one the rifts gave off.

A bit perplexed, Oki had taken to the trees and sat amongst the limbs becoming mostly invisible to the world unless someone really looked up and could spot the odd hints of black or a shimmer of the light off of one its many accessories it wore amongst the natural browns and greens of the tree. It was thinking of what this event could mean wondering if it was perhaps something connected to the words the reporter had said when it first related. Was there perhaps something hidden here that would lead it to that strange world she had mentioned? Or was this something else entirely? Hmmm…..

Uggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh... This place was so boring! There wasn't even electricity for crying out loud! The DJ was very displeased with her manager and would call him if she could get any service... This was so unbearably lame and boring! The DJ was surely going to die of boredom by the end of the week. The DJ sighed though, walking down the path with a disgruntled grumble as she flipped through her phone's seemingly endless amount of games. She had played all of them... And beat all of them... Apps didn't have very much content, after all.

The DJ groaned as she continued down the path, leaning her head backwards to look up at the trees and sky. This was mind numbing for the DJ, and it would seem that nothing could entertain her now. That was until the DJ saw it... The inspiration of a life time! It was bloody magnificent! Hold the phone and shut the door at the same time! That tree was huge!

The DJ gawked at it as she quickly sprinted down the path until she was at the base of the tree, gawking up at it in amazement. What!? How!? Huuuuuuuh!? This was insanity! This tree was like taken out of the Avatar movie! Did aliens plant it? Was it genetically modified? Was this what those health freaks talked about when people pulsed GMOs into plants? Whatever the case, the DJ wanted to climb this tree and bungie jump from the highest branch! That'd be the thrill of the century! The DJ jumped in place, squealing happily as she opened her phone to text her manager of this awesome new idea!

But... What was this weird feeling the DJ felt in her gut? The DJ didn't like it and groaned to herself, misinterpreting the feeling as hunger. She skipped out on breakfast again, not wanting to eat much more than a mango in a fruit basket her manager sent her. She was hoping this tree would distract her... But if only the DJ knew what was about to happen...

Ah... March. What a good time of the year. Last of the snow had finally melted, and spring was already in full bloom. Since her awakening, Mae's life had changed somewhat. She could now see the rifts all over San Malarus. It had been spooky at first, but now, the pinkette had gotten used to it. At this point in time, it was saturday. Two weeks had allready passed since Qilin had made herself at home inside her. "Hrm... What to do today? I'm already done with most of my homework, and that essay is almost finished. I should take today off, don't you think, Qilin?" Mae sat on her bed inside her room. The pinkette had just eaten breakfast, and was getting bored.


Qilin failed at disguising her own curiousity about the place. What the horse had said though was true. Mae had yet to visit the three other islands here, Lunapa, Standasen and Malstu. And considering the weather, today was better than any other time to go on a trip. With her goal for the day in mind, Mae left her room, and headed for San Malarus Station, which was crowded with people as usual. After a long trip, the girl finally arrived in Lunapa. This place was so different from what she was used to. It was nothing like San Malarus or Penecia at all. A nice change, all things considered. Looks like today was going to be a good day...

Lunapa Island wasn't a place that they visited very often, but it was a place where they seeked solitude or just the for the nice feel the place gave off. The minute they had arrived on the island, they made their way towards the tree, as if being pulled there. They couldn't explain it, but the feeling that they were supposed to be there was very noticeable. It didn't show itself until Quinn stepped onto the island and gave a glance or two at it, so it must be there for a reason. The attire for the day was the usual, with the brown skirt and all, feeling a bit more feminine today than yesterday. It took them awhile, but they soon arrived at the tree, taking in the magnificent sight before moving towards it more. There must be a reason they felt like being in Lunapa, and why they wanted to be close to the tree, it must be something. Just like how they had the feeling that they should bring the gun along with them, something wasn't right.

Chief said that there is something strange with the big tree in Lunapa and I was sent here to investigate but until now nothing strange is happening. I never forget what Kazuya said about people with 'awakened powers', is it really true? I can't tell whether he is lying or not. Do I have awakened powers? Kazuya said I have one and find it. The problem is how can I find it? I don't know where to start, I am really curious about this. Wait what?! When did I believe supernatural crap!? Stupid me! Argh, I guess I really need to know more about these 'awakened powers'. Whatever, I should be focusing on why I was sent here. I am just wandering around the big tree while looking at my surroundings. I look like a tourist lost but im not.

After a long trip Ando, has finally arrived in Lunapa. He has been looking forward to see this place for a long time and seeing how this day was a nice bright day, he decided to come here. He looked around the area, which was quite different from the San Malarus, the only other island he has visited. After walking around the island, Ando sat under a nearby tree for a quick break from walking.

"This place sure is interesting." Ando thought to himself as he closed his eyes.

The minute things got really quiet, for a moment, they felt like they could hear their own heartbeat louder than ever. That was just the start of it though, the two guardian type creatures rose out of the ground, leaving Quinn in awe at it, they had never believed in the supernatural but seeing it was making that theory fade fast. Above all of that, they could hear faint whispers, but these whispers weren't coming from the people around them. At first it was saying something they couldn't understand, but after awhile it grew louder, and repeated itself over and over again. This time it was saying their name, but of course Quinn tried to ignore it. It seemed the voice didn't like that, and started repeating the word gun. Would a gun protect them, or was it about... The gun in their bag! How could they forget, they brought it because of that feeling, this must have been that feeling. Pulling out the gun, they would start to raise it at one of the creatures when the voice echoed through their head. "'No child, you know what to do.' Knew what to do? How did Quinn know what to do?

Now that... Was sudden. The eerie silence, coupled with the fact that the wind suddenly stopped blowing put Mae on high alert. She had not anticipated this at all. The only way to describe this phenomenon was to say that... Time had just stopped. Or at least it felt that way. It would seem she was not the only one who had taken notice to this sudden change, as all the other teens present had reacted to it as well, albeit in an entirely different manner. Then suddenly, a bright light shone forth, almost blinding Mae in the process, as two mysterious figures emerged from the light like ghosts. Were these things shadows? Or something else? // Qilin! Do you have any idea what's going on?! // Mae asked her persona. She didn't expect much of an answer, but it didn't take a genious to figure out that these things were hostile. Interestingly enough, they didn't seem to pay much attention to Mae at first. Wait... Wasn't that... Quinn? The two of them had just met yesterday... Is this the same thing Mae went through...? No, it might be similiar in nature, but it felt fundamentally different. Something didn't sit right... Quinn was not alone here either... There were two others with them... When Mae had faced her shadow self, she had been alone at first... And there had only been one shadow... not two. Anyway, these three were in danger.


// Right! // Taking Qilins advice to heart, Mae rushed over to Quinn's side.


She said in a calming voice, keeping a close eye on the two creatures. If a confrontation was necessary, Mae would do anything in her power to keep the others safe, just like what Julian had done for her. She just couldn't let them die at the hands of these shadows, or whatever else they could be. Not on her watch!

Huh? What just happened? It was normal but the atmosphere changed all of a sudden. Wait what the hell are those things? Are those Shadows? The one that Kazuya is talking about, it's true! Oh no, there are people with me too. I need to keep them safe,somehow. "Stand back! I'll take care of them" I shouted and took my gun from my pocket. I shoot the first one but it seems that my weapon has no effect. "What the hell!?" i asked the air. Why aren't those shadows dead? I used all of my bullets on the watcher but damn no effect, the thing is still standing like nothing even happened to him. "Shit! Normals weapons are not working against,these guys!" what can I do? At any rate, they might attack us. Gosh, where are my awakened powers when i need it? How can I find my damn powers!?

"Mako... Use me..." i heard a familiar voice in the air. It really does sound familiar but I can't recognize the woman's voice. "Mako... It's me Gabriela" the voice introduced herself. Wait Gabriela? I've heard of her. You mean Gabriela Silang!? I idolized her because of her bravery and now she is speaking to me, I can't believe this. "Call me" The voice said before fading away. Call her you mean like summon her? Did I just found my awakened power? Hmm, it seems that i've found what I was looking for. How can I summon her? That seems to be the problem.

Ando's eyes fluttered open as he felt a strange sensation. He quickly scrambled back as he landed his eyes onto the two shadows. He couldn't explain what those things were, all he knew was that he was not in a dream. His breath shook as he looked at them. His eyes were filled with fear. "W-what the hell?" Ando said as he turned his head towards the woman that had fired at the two shadows. Confused and afraid he began to turn around and run. Many things were going through his mind that had made him panic. He looked back at the others who seem to all confront the shadows.

"Are you going to run..." a voice rang out in Ando's head. Ando stopped slowed his running down to a stop. What can he do? Ando has always been scared of everything. All he can do is run. "...or are you going to fight." Fight? Ando had never been able to fight back against anything. How can he help the others fight if he had never done so before. He clenched his fist as those thoughts filled his mind.

Mae? The girl they had met a day ago was there, what was actually going on, and what where these creatures. After awhile of listing to the voices, they heard another voice echo throughout their mind. Once the voice ceased it's transmission to Quinn, they felt a wave of calming energy flowing directly to them, but of course that didn't stop the enemies from moving at all. They waved their hands outwards towards the group of people, but didn't seem like they were going to attack. "... They're not attacking yet..." The voice in her head gave a malicious idea, though it did seem like they could trust the female's voice. The gun went from being pointed at the enemy, to being pointed directly at their temple, as if they knew it wouldn't hurt them.


They pulled the trigger, and glass seemed to shatter, flying out the other end as a blue fog surrounded their feet. At that moment, their body would be lifted in the air as the figure of a jester type woman with two gears underneath herself would appear. Quinn was stunned, the creatures had nothing on this. Looking closer at those creatures now, they saw a flash of color, as if the persona was telling them something. Staring closer, they began to speak, though their voice was projected into the other people's minds. "Weaknesses... I can tell what these creature's are weak to." Focusing all their energy on the second one, they would feel as if they could read it like a book, and once they received the statistics of the creature, they would relay the information of both of them to the people who seemed to be awakening to the same power they did. "I think we can all fight this. Hang in there everyone I'll get that information." Once the information was scanned, it would be relayed to the people they supported to make sure they knew what they were doing. The analysed information would appear in their heads like a screen for a second, displaying it to all of them. Quinn barely knew what they were doing but it seemed this thing... Genovefa, was guiding them.
