Galaxy Awakening

She wasn’t here because she was going to participate in the Kendo tournament that was going to be held on this island within a day. Her style of fighting automatically disqualified her from that, so anyone looking for competition didn’t have to worry there…well maybe. She could never say no if someone dared to ruffle her feathers to the point of her lashing out. But then again…Sky wasn’t exactly itching for a fight as she moved down the crowded pathways of the park. Her blue eyes were scanning all the attractions as she actively hunted for any rips in the area under the pretense of simply being an excited teen out at the park.

She didn’t have a date and those with lustful eyes had no problem trying to get her attention or call her over to play games. Within the first few minutes of entering the park, she had already gotten two free games and a teddy bear for simply cheering on the guy at the basketball hoop booth. This affair and attention of men was normal for the tall and elegant vixen that was the want of the foolish and the envy of the venomous. She carried herself proudly and flirted with ease much to the displeasure of some women, but if they felt that much out of the game, she had no problem switching tactics to charm them too. Already, she had one food booth attendant wrapped around her pinky like a well fitted ring. If she wanted something for free, she knew which chick to talk to and no one ever tried to stopped her tricks either. It wasn’t that she was immune to the law that this occurred. It was simply because the ones “in charge” were also rather dull and easily fell prey to the toxic charms and sweetness Sky dealt out. It was sad really, but something Sky was used to in her life.

She continued to move along the area before stopping at a balloon popping booth. The sleepy eyed booth keeper immediately perked up at her approach as he looked her up and down before speaking in a way that said he was eager to do anything to charm her. Ha! What guts! She supposed she should use that to her advantage. Which she did of course.

Using sweet words and teases, she manage to get three games for free. Laying the darts before her, the booth owner moved to watch her more so than her skills with the game. Ignoring the drooling dog, she picked up the dart and began to play the game.

The first three pops were ignored, but by the fourth the hypnotized booth owner tore his eyes away from the beauty and looked towards the balloons that she kept popping without a miss. When she ran out of all of her darts, her blue eyes would drifted over to the shocked booth owner who didn’t seem to know what to say. She had technically won three games flawlessly and therefore should get three prizes, but instead of asking for her prizes, she smiled innocently as one word escaped her mouth.

“Again.”

“Alright then, but I swear this is the last freebie,” the booth owner said with a smirk. To his words, Sky nodded as she was given more darts to use. She would use them up and then using the same tactic from before, she asked to play another game. With ease the booth owner complied never charging or even complaining when he had to put more balloons up. He let her continue to play.

Elendril couldn’t believe the number of the people that he was encountering at this theme park, that new who he was and where wishing him good luck in the Kendo tournament. As he seriously didn’t think that the tournament would be all that big. Or that many people would even really know who he was considering that he was only a Kendo competitor. And it wasn’t one of the more bigger sports now days. As the main club at the school was that of the soccer club. As it was the biggest sport the school had, and one that the world went crazy over. But it seemed that Kendo was no joke here and that a lot of people would be in attendance in watching the completion when it went down. Which was good for Elendril, as he wanted more exposure on the national level. And though this tournament wasn’t on that level it could sure as hell help him get to it. Considering that it would be probably be some big name Kendo fighters in the crowd watching to see the upcoming talent that they may one day have to face.

Continuing to walk around Elendril would start to notice a lot of the different games the park had. Though he could tell that none really had any prizes that were worth wild. As most of them just had stuffed animals, though overly sized. Nothing to spectacular that one would really just break their bank in attempting to win. As Kimura was sure that most of these could just be brought at some store or online for cheaper then what you would spend in trying to make sure that you won the game. Though he figured that he might as well try one for some giggles just to see what he could win. And the one booth that caught his eyes was the pop the balloons game. As it seemed simple enough, throw a dart at a balloon and pop it. You get four darts so you need to pop four balloons. This seemed like something even a toddler could win without trying so Elendril was sure enough he would be able to take this with easy.

But as he made his way to the booth he would notice that their was a girl who was charming the boy running the both. As it was easy to tell that she was using her good looks and flirtatious actions to have the boy do what she wanted of him. Though ironically from what Elendril could see she didn’t want free prizes, but just to play the game for free. And she was somewhat amazing at it as well. Hitting four balloons each time she played like it was just a piece of cake to here. With talent like this Elendril could only wonder would she be taking place in the girls Kendo tournament or better yet even the boys as it was not unknown for girls to hide themselves in the boy Kendo tournaments. As Elendril was sure that only a warrior of some form or fashion would have skills like this girl did. But he figured he would just wait to see how her little scam of the boy finished before he made his try at the game as well.

Sky continued to play the game with the drooling boy watching her; however, as she was about to throw her last dart, she felt a pair of eyes on her in the distance. Hmmm? Had someone caught her in the act of her game or was this just someone who liked to stare? Well whatever the case was, Sky would adjust her aim a bit so that when she threw the last dart, the sharp point would hit the backboard with an audible thunk! as it sunk into the material. The drooling attendant’s jaw dropped open in shock. He was not expecting her to miss, but the act had been intentional making one wonder why she had ruined an perfect game.

Truth be told, the game was losing its fun and the booth owner his appeal. He had served his purpose for the time being, so Sky would look over him with a light smile as her hand went to her purse and she began to dig for her wallet.

“Oh. No. No. it is fine. You won those games fair and square, so keep your money,” the booth owner said to her as she held out a 20 dollar bill to him.

“Are you sure?” Sky asked looking him up and down as if she was truly checking him for sanity. When the guy responded he was sure, Sky gave him an appreciative smile before putting her money away. Free was free, so why complain about a job well done?

With her money put away, the girl would look away from the booth owner to the guy that was near and appeared to be watching her. Ah! That explained the feeling from earlier. This new comer appeared to be waiting for the booth. Heh.

Giving the customer-to-be a smile, Sky bowed to him lightly.

“Sorry for hogging the booth so long. You can have at it now,” she said in light tones as she began to move away from the booth so that other customers could play the game if they choose to.

Hmm…what to do next?

She wondered this to herself as she pulled the map from her purse and began scanning ii lightly for the next best thing.

Elendril could easily tell that the girl missed the last shot on purpose. Considering that he was a keen warrior in combat and hay gained an eye for attacks from all of his years it was easy for him to tell when someone was pulling a strike. As it was something that happened a lot of times in Kendo matches. Though Elendril could not actually tell why the girl missed that last shot on purpose and ended her perfect score. Though Elendril was pretty sure this girl was a warrior of some sort still. Because even the way she missed the shot showed that she had astounding accuracy being able to make sure she missed in a way that it would not be noticeable to the average person. But sadly for this girl Elendril was not the average person and had gained keen eyes from years of kendo combat.

After finishing the game the girl would attempt to pay the both runner. But he oddly wouldn’t take the money from the girl, showing that his was still showing from affection for the girl. Though this was probably more in an alternative motive as most dudes always had alternative motives for the things that they did. And Elendril was sure that this one was no different then most, though he could always be wrong and this could just be one of those genuine nice guys that you hear about in those stories and movies. But Elendril was still pretty sure that was not the case in the long run. But eh who was he to speak on some random dude that he did not know.

Once the girl finished trying to paying she would proceed to turn around and speak to Elendril. Though he held a cold expression that would most likely make it seem as though he was a dick, which for the most part he was. He would then proceed to speak to the girl. “I can easily tell you missed that last shot on purpose. Anyone with a keen eye can tell you have perfect accuracy. I might even consider you as keen warrior with the way your were able to hit that many perfect targets. But then again you also used your sex appeal to con this poor sucker over here to let you play for free. But eh I guess people got to have fun sometimes".

Sky had ended her game with her intentional miss that was lost upon the stand owner. As she turned to leave, she had spoken to the young man that had been watching her. Her words were polite enough, but the response she got back was…interesting to say the least. Oho. So this one wanted to start off bold and rattling things he knew nothing about? Hmph! What a way to show you were either terribly rude or not very smart. Did this one not know how to treat a lady? Manners. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

“Well now. Look who knows so much and who is so willing to call someone out. It is true I like my games, but it is fun when the other plays too,” Sky said glancing over at the booth owner with a wink. He jumped lightly before turning away as his face became bright red probably from embarrassment for being called out on his actions too; however, Sky didn’t care for feelings as she looked back at the guy who had called her out.

“As for my “perfect aim” it has nothing to do with being a warrior of any sort. I simply like target practicing as a hobby,” Sky said as she flicked some of her red hair back and approached the other with carefully placed and confident steps. She would stop a good ways from him as she looked him up and down.

“So then sugar. Did you come here to play games or did you come over here to cause some havoc? To be honest I like either way; however, your approach is not graceful at all. You’ll have to try better if you are trying to break my poor heart here,” Sky said her words calm and sexy, but biting and cold also. While she was not hostile towards the young man, it was clear from her tone and the way she carried herself that she was not one to be pushed over. If this one wanted to stir hell, she’d bring hell to him; however, not being the type to strike first, Sky remained opened to civil conversation too. Who knew? Maybe this one was just direct in his ways rather than all over the place like some men could be. Needless to say, the strange young man had her attention, so the question was what was he going to do now?

Elendril would look at the girl as she spoke to him with a blank expression like he could careless about what she was saying at really held no meaning to him. As he just wanted to point out that if she was going to use sex appeal and hustle some random boy at a game booth that she might want to get better. But then again none of that really mattered to Elendril either. As he was only looking at things in warrior point of view. As he was nothing more then a warrior and saw everything that way. And her aim with those darts was not something that any smart warrior would take for granted. Though he also wanted to see if this would be one of the female competitors here for this weekend. As he had never really got to meet any of the top female Kendo fighters. Then again Elendril wasn’t one to really care for other people. The only things that he cared for was his Kendo.

Strangely though Elendril decided that he would humor this girl, is his own strange sense of humor for some fun. Since he figured that it would be a good things to blow of some steam before the tournament started tomorrow and he was locked in rigorous battle with other competitors. As the girl spoke to Elendril in a sassy tone he would proceed to give out a big yawn and continue to give her a blank stair with his eyes low that somewhat made him appear drowsy and that he could fall out into a full on slumber at any possible second. But this wasn’t Elendril being rude so to say, as this way just the way he was around most people. Which why he was widely considered a dick, or gloomy person by most people. As the only time Elendril was full into this world would be that of when he was in full out combat.

Easily Elendril could see that she was quite upset on him calling her out, because if the sassiness in her voice wasn’t enough to show it. She would ask Elendril if he was trying to start something, and that it wouldn’t break her heart. Making him have a little chuckle in his head. He would notice the tenses of the girls body movements as she took steps towards him as though she wasn’t sure if at any moment Elendril would break out and attack her . But Elendril wasn’t surprised about that, as he did look ready for combat like always with this giant armor on his left armor and his Samurai paint’s. But then again he wasn’t the type to attack first with out reason so she honestly had nothing to worry about.

Looking her up and down as though he was sizing her up, or check her out depending on the way you took the way he looked at her, he would begin to speak. “Honestly I speak the truth and just chose to call you out on your little hustle, though I honestly could careless about you or this game. As I just came over her to play it and get some amusement for myself before I compete in the tournament tomorrow. And as for your heart I could careless if it shattered into a million pieces, or even stayed intact in your body to be honest with you. But that’s just my opinion. So you may calmly return to your little meaningless day and go back to hustling game booths for fun. I myself shall be getting ready for the many victories I shall claim tomorrow“. With that Elendril would silently walk passed the girl to the game booth and pick up a dart on the table. Turning around and facing the opposite direction of the dart board he would throw the dart around his side hitting a balloon perfectly popping it as the dart would continue to sink all the way into the wood of the board behind the balloon’s.

Sky talked, taking note of the blank expression the other gave her as she spoke. She wasn’t sure if the guy was paying attention, but at that point she didn’t care. She would keep on going whether or not the other cared to hear it or not. While it was true she did admire his guts for being upfront, on the other hand, she didn’t like people coming along assuming they could read everything from a glance and then go rattling off at the mouth. It would be one thing if it was just the guy and herself, but when there were others presence, Sky often found it necessary to lay some ground rules down if anyone dared to step up to her like this one did.

Usually, people would cower and back off, the agitation more of a scare tactic than anything else; however, this young man before her with his odd dresswear simply yawned and looked as if he was going to go to sleep as he held his ground against her. Oh! So now she bored him? The thought was enough to make the normal one even more angry, but instead, the way the giuy handled the situation caused Sky to smirk inwardly as her expression became neutral and she looked the other up and down.

Impressive. It was not everyday she saw guys act like men. Most of the time they became weak in the knees when they saw her upset and would literally crawl over burning coals to get her to smile again. While she didn’t show it, she was quite pleased her tactic didn’t work. This is what made the game more fun and the one being faced stick out from the crowd. As a result of being more interesting than the normal bunch, Sky didn’t storm off for a dramatic effect as she finished her observation of the guy, taking note that he too was checking her out in a fashion. Not seeing the action as a threat or being hit upon, Sky let him do all the looking he wanted as she kept a steady eye out for any false moves.

However, her body would relax as the other spoke, her red lips pulling into a smirk as she listened. When he was done with speaking and had made his throw at the balloon and popped it perfectly, Sky would let out a low amused chuckle in the silence as she shifted her weight to the right and folded her arms.

“Oh you are quite the piece of work. Unfortunately, you aren’t going to be getting rid of me that easily,” she said as she approached the counter and leaned against as she watched the other play. She kept her back to the booth owner who looked as if he wanted to say something, but wisely kept his mouth shut.

“So you are one of the competitors in that show tomorrow, huh? I thought to pass it up, but if you are there I might have to stop by to see if you can back up your confidence with skill,” she said her tones slightly friendlier than last time as curiosity took over her.

Elendril was astounded that the girl said he wasn’t going to be able to just get rid of her that easy. Especially considering she seemed to have been just mad at him moments of ago. But now it looked as though she was interested in him as she made herself comfortable at the booth so that she could watch him play this silly little darts game. But what really amused himself was that, at the same time she was watching him play the game she was also giving the booth boy the cold shoulder. By turning her back to him she was trying to cut any chance of him coming and speaking to her. Which was truly the funniest part to Elendril. Because it seemed as though the girl had taking interest in the him a boy who had no interest in her what so ever. While giving the cold shoulder to the boy who did. This just showed him that women didn’t understand what they truly wanted when it came to boys. But eh none of that really bothered Elendril he was just here to blow of steam not meet and make friends. Though he figured he might as well have a little fun while it was still amusing to do so.

Elendril would take the next dart and throw it straight up in the air as high as he could while taking a step back. Instantly jumping up in the air he would do a roundhouse kick. Almost instantly a sound so load would be heard. As it sounded like a gun had just been shot. But that was truly not the case. As Elendril would just point at the wall of balloons so that the booth boy could see with his own eyes what he had just missed. As the dart Elendril had just threw up in the air was now completely in the wall almost impossible for the booth boy to get out as he pulled on it with all his might. And with a slight chuckle Elendril would put some money on the booth for the boy as he started to walk away. But before completely walking away he would turn to the girl to speak to with her. “I am The competition, Elendril Kimura. One of the number one Kendo fighters in the nation right now. And tomorrow I shall show the world once again why I am one of the best.” With that Elendril would start to walk away looking for the next thing to occupy his time.

It was interesting watching how men reacted to women, especially hard to read women like Sky. On one hand, it would appear she had switched her interest from one guy to the other by giving the booth owner the cold shoulder, but that was hardly the case. For you see, she had no interest in the booth owner to begin with and while she found this strangely dressed lad interesting to talk to, she had no other interest in him. He was just something to pass time with; however, people were judgmental and so the true meaning of her actions was lost on both of the men around her. It was sad, but it appeared that only an intelligent being like the pale skinned man she’d met in the art museum understood such things these days. Unfortunate, but Sky did not complain or make a scene about this. She just simply let what be be and played her part as she saw fit.

When the boy decided to show off his skills by throwing the dart into the air and doing a roundhouse kick with such accuracy and grace, the sound that followed the action was enough to scare nearby passbyers and the booth owner. The thud was certainly loud and the dart well embedded in the board. While the booth owner tried with all his might to pull the thing out, it would not budge. That dart was stuck in there good. Heh.

As the other began to walk away, Sky picked up a handful of darts and looked at them carefully before glancing over at the booth boy who turned to her with slumped shoulders. As their eyes met, Sky gave him a grin that made the boy back up against the booth board in fear. Just as quickly as the grin appeared, it disappeared as Sky raised her hand and then slung it down releasing the darts. There was the quick popping of balloons along with the terrified scream of the booth owner as he scrunched into himself to become as small as he could as darts were flung and landed inches to either side of him. Trembling, he looked up at Sky as of she was insane, but Sky did not seem to care as she winked at the guy and turned away from him just as the warrior kid paused and turned slightly to look at her.

As she listened to his cocky words, she let out the a light "hmph" of amusement as she began to follow him.

“Is that so? Well, then I hope I become quiet rich when I bet on you. I would sure hate to waste my money on hot air,” she said lightly as she trailed behind him. They were currently heading in the same direction, so why not bother him for a bit more? “Sky Akumura is the name by the way. I am the best collector and artist the world will ever know.”

Elendril had come to find this day done in his eyes even though the girl was still following him, and figured that it be best if he make his way to his room for the night. As he was going to need to be very well rested and mediated for the days to come. Considering the fact that Kendo was a sport of discipline meaning that Elendril must keep his mind on point at all times even if he knew that his opponent was no match for him. He must not get distracted from his goal and this girl was being nothing more then just that. A distraction to what Kimura was truly here on this island for. So he knew that he was going to have to distance himself from her for the time being. As he was sure he could use the girl for some amusement after the tournament was over , butt for the time being he was going to need to make his way on his own so that he could go do his nightly rituals and prepare for the victory that he was about to achieve.

Making his way towards the hotel room, Kimura could still see that the girl was following him. Though he wasn’t sure if it was because she was just being creepy and following him or if she was actually just going in the same direction of him. But it really didn’t matter much to Kimura what she was doing. Wasn’t like she was just going to walk right into his hotel room with his regardless of what she was doing. And Once making it to the front of the hotel, Kimura would make his way in and to the elevator making his way to the fifth floor. As all of his stuff had already been sent directly to his room he wouldn’t need to stop and get anything else. Because now he prepared for what was to come.

Sky would follow her silent companion around not because she was being a troll or anything like that, but simply because she and he seemed to be wanting to leave the amusement park at the same time. It was odd, but as long as he wasn’t telling her to back off, she honestly didn’t care they were walking together for the moment. She had thought when she had gotten to the entrance of the park that they would part ways, but it seemed the direction she was going and the one this one was going was still the same. So trailing along behind him and taking note that he would look back at her occasionally, Sky would continue her walk along the busy street, eyeing this or that store along the way, but finding no need to enter them.

Elendril took a turn into a fancy looking hotel that Sky only briefly took note of. She wasn’t sure how long the guy was going to be there, but she assumed it would probably only be long enough to get through the match he was going to have the next day. She thought about revisiting the island to see him fight, see if he was worth her time and amusement; however, tomorrow was always a strange thing. It was full of unknown surprises that may or may not distract her from coming back to watch the matches. In any case, the thought was an idea to play with, but only that as she turned her eyes from the hotel and continued on her way to the station to catch the train back home. Maybe she would meet the boy again sometime down the road or maybe she would not. She would let Fate decide that one.
