**ALERT!** After a rather eventful evening at Maksim's Party, three teenagers seems to have gone missing. The doors of Vault Olympia have been breached due to a to this day unknown assailant, who sabotaged the doors locking systems, allowing demons to make entry. Thanks to the excellent defensive capabilities of the Vault's Security drones, the Attack was put to an end, and the invading monsters fled to the outside. Right now, the Doors of Vault Olympia are currently open, allowing any survivors of the fall to seek shelter within the Vault's safe halls. What Vault Security officials think of this development remains unclear as the Chief of Police and Security of Olympia refused to leave a comment. This is Rianara, of Olympia news, signing out.

The site is entering a new era as our team of mods works tirelessly on updating old and obsolete information threads and links. The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty
PostSubject: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyMon Jan 05, 2015 3:30 pm

The season of autumn steadily changed to season of winter. Add had no favourites, but he did enjoy winter because of the white snow. A while back he got himself a camera fit for a professional photographer and started to learn how to snap proper pictures. At first, he was practising using various items found in his apartment like his gaming mouse, coffee mug, can of energy drink. Later on, he ordered some more equipment. The young man found this new hobby really interesting. It did a really good job at consuming time and Add enjoyed himself. Today was the day when he decided to test his skills on power of nature. His destination was none other than the most green island of them all - Lunapa.

Luckily enough, Lunapa was close to San Malarus, so the trip didn't take long. /"I think that I'll have to thank that red-haired boy when I meet him again.."/ Add chuckled as he passed the only bus stop the island had. If it weren't for that enthusiastic red-hairdo, Add wouldn't have even thought about picking up this hobby. The young man stopped to take a look at the village in front of him. Huts and treehouses. Add couldn't imagine himself living in one of those, even though they looked interesting. However, he wasn't there for this village. His real destination was the so-called 'Ruined village'. The history of the place seemed to be a basically a failure to create a system of treehouses. The young man pulled the hood of his thick hoodie futher into his face. For today, Add chose to go full casual, which was quite unusual, but it had its purpose. It would be far more easier to take photos in something casual, than in his trousers and coat. He sported black skinny jeans with trekking boots, turtleneck and the thick hoodie. He had his camera on a strap around his neck, hanging, even though it felt kind of heavy. The Dynamo was safely stuffed in the single pocket of his hoodie. He could feel the cold getting to him, slowly, but surely. With a small sigh, he started to make his was to the Ruined village.

The Lunapa island was the tropical island, so there wasn't that much of the snow as Add would've liked. Slightly disappointed, he started looking around the ruins when he arrived. Wooden bases and leftovers of treehouses were scattered around the treetops. Nature had already begun to reclaim the place. Vines and other plants were stretching across the remains of the treehouses. "The power of nature, huh.." The young man mumbled to himself, as he chose a random unfinished treehouse and started to truly experiment with his camera.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyTue Jan 06, 2015 4:43 pm

The days and months had become blurs for the being known as Oki, but as the fall season ended and the winter began, the being had had quite a bit of stress enter its life all in one go. First, it had been plagued by cats and nightmares for days, then Sky, the being’s long lost sibling, showed up at its door. Seeing her as the dark figure from its nightmares, Oki had kept its distance from the girl as it did its best to swallow the fact that her strange aura was under the same roof as itself. While Sky never did anything to harm the being, the fact remained that Oki could not gather enough courage to stay around her for long.

It made the ancient being feel bad. After all, should Oki not be thrilled to be reunited with the only family it had around? It should’ve been, but it wasn’t. Instead, it had been stressed and conflicted on what to do with the new presence in the home. To make matters worse, the spirits decided to play mean tricks on it and deal it a different sort of pain that being wasn’t sure was real or not at first, but as time ticked on, the bruises and soreness from said trick became proof that what the being had experience was true.

Between bad experience and stress, Oki was about to go mad, so that is why it had decided to do something spontaneous this day. Leaving its hat behind, Oki packed lightly before bidding its sibling farewell and leaving the antique shop in her hands. Walking around San Malarus, Oki drifted towards the station and after looking at the schedules, chose a train that it had never thought to get onto before - the one headed to Lunapa Island.

Getting its ticket and hopping onto the correct train, Oki took the ride to the island a bit surprised that it was being shoved out of its isolated lifestyle due to unplanned events. The being supposed this was a good thing, but at the same time it did not change the fact that this trip was a way to put as much distance between itself and the stressors back home. The being felt like it was running away when it should’ve simply just faced its problems head on; however, at the moment, the being was not in the right mental state to do so. So it chose to flee instead.

Needless to say, the train ride did nothing to settle down the being and when it stepped out into the slightly warmer atmosphere of Lunapa, the being still felt like it was walking on needles. Looking around the new area, Oki would find the only bus stop in the area and take notice of the route map on the sign. Not looking forward to interacting much with many people, Oki decided not to wait for the bus and instead headed out in a different direction. The direction that would put take it towards a more ruined and wild side of the island.

With hands in its pocket, Oki walked along the quiet road listening to the sounds around it as a chilled wind blew, ruffling its hair and causing the small bear charm it still wore to shift lightly. With nature and the sound of its boots and the light tinkling of other articles on the being the only sounds surrounding it, Oki did its best to take deep breathes and clear its mind of the troubles back home. Once it was back in a more stable state, then it would face the issues. For now, it just needed to relax.

Relax…

Oki continued its walk, leaving the road for the more unbeaten paths that led it into a heavily forested area. As Oki entered the cooler shade of the trees, the being found its footsteps slowing as it looked around the area curiously, yet cautiously. It wasn’t concerned about anything to unusual happening out here, but old training was hard to be rid of as the being automatically began to catalog new data about the new section it was in. Trees and old houses that hung from the limbs. How curious.

Pausing a few paces away from the more stable looking of the old houses, Oki would glance around at the trees before spotting one that would allow it to do what it wanted to do. Making sure there was nothing to trip over first, Oki would take a running start before leaping upward and grabbing the sturdy low hanging limb of one of the trees. It would then swing itself upon the limb like a monkey before pausing for a second to balance as its eyes scanned for the next step towards the house it was interested in.  Most pathways were blocked and a tug on some dangling vines and ropes showed that using those items to get across was a no go.

It took a moment and a lot of swinging from branches before black boots finally clunked down on the front porch of the large and old home.  Oki heard some the boards creak under its weight, but thankfully they did not give. Being careful where it stepped, the being with enter the house after struggling with the door. It explored the inside of the spacious house carefully dodging spider webs as it looked at the rotting furniture and other sign of once life in the  now dead home.

Curious as to what had happened to cause such a place to exist, Oki would eventually go back out of the house and go back to climbing the trees and exploring the other ruins about. The exploring was going well enough and only became difficult when Oki had to enter an unfinished house via the roof. Carefully moving about the tangle of vines and thick roots that had taken over the half house, Oki would make it way towards the open door and peek outside to get a feel for where exactly in the ruin this house was located.

Being pretty high up only gloved hands and a head with a mess of black hair would be shown to the world…and the person that was apparently about to take a picture of said house. More curious as to why someone else was out here rather than ruining a picture, Oki would stay balanced in the tangle of vines as it remained in its upside down position.  The being would tilted its head at the other, quite curious as to what the fellow was doing out here with a camera and alone to boot.  Hmm…strange.

Getting a properly focused shot of the scenery the young man was attempting to was proving to be slightly diffucult. /"I should've brought my coat.. It's actually pretty cold."/ He thought as he finally took the picture. It was as shaky as he thought it would be, but something was amiss. When he took a better look at the photo, he noticed a.. Figure of sorts? Swiftly, he looked up. There was a person there, for sure. Upside down, but still. Add was hoping that he wasn't just seeing things. Ghosts weren't his forte.

"Hello? What are you doing up there?" He'd ask loud enough for the somebody to hear him. Add had no idea who they were nor how they managed to get up all the way up in the trees. They were most likely just a kid playing around.

PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyFri Jan 09, 2015 10:16 pm

Oki remained in its position in the tangled web it was balanced in watching the other below curiously for a moment. It saw the camera being pointed in its direction, but didn’t completely register what was happening until it heard the clicking sound of a picture being taken.

Whoops! Should’ve gone back inside,
Oki thought to itself feeling only the slightest ping of guilt for ruining someone’s picture; however, guilt would quickly melt away as it mind focused instead on what the other was doing. While it appeared the other was having difficulty before with the camera, when he seemingly checked his picture, the response was a quick look back up to where Oki was.

At first this caused the being to flinch slightly thinking it was about to get scolded for ruining a shot; however, as Oki continued to observe the other, it began to wonder if the other was truly angry or thinking something else at the moment. The expression was hard to read.

When the person spoke a moment later, Oki tilted its head lightly at the words it heard before it gave a smile to the other.

“Hi there. Sorry to ruin your picture. I was ah…examining these tree houses up close. Didn’t think another would be this far out on a day like this. Hang on, I’ll come to you,” Oki responded back loud enough for the other to hear before becoming quiet and going back into the house. For a few moments, Oki would be invisible to the one below, but as it worked its way out of the tangle of vines and branches, the being would eventually appear on a lower branch in the tree.

Carefully, moving from branch to branch Oki would easily make its way down until it found a place it could jump off. With a light thud and tumble, Oki would roll back onto its feet before dusting itself off and approaching the other.

“The structures are quite fascinating up close,” Oki said before pausing a few paces away from the other. “Ah! There I go forgetting my manners again. Let’s start again, yes? Hi, my name is Oki. What is yours?” Oki asked in friendly tones as it gave a bow to the other in proper greeting.

The person quickly apologised and disappeared into the trees. /"Didn't think there would be anyone here either.."/ The young man thought as he could hear the person make their way back on solid ground. It didn't take long for them to jump off a lowest branch and dusting off and come over to Add. As they neared, Add took a better look at them. It seemed to be a teen boy, most likely a few years younger than himself. He was clothed strangely, not that it mattered much, though.

As he came close, Add noticed the dark short hair and bright green eyes. /"Sometimes I wish my face wasn't so messed up."/ He thought bitterly as he tugged on his hood, trying to pull it over his head even more than it already was. The teen started talking, but did introduce himself quickly after. It would be rude to not introduce himself, especially after he was the one to initiate this situation. His name, though... More like a nickname, if he had to be honest. With a small sigh he would reply. "The name's Add. It's alright to forget from time to time, but not too often, though." He would shrug as he let go of the camera, in order to clench his hands into fists so he would be able to feel them again. "The treehouses are pretty neat. Shame it didn't work out." He would add as he looked up on the treehouse where Oki was before.

PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyMon Jan 12, 2015 3:47 pm

Oki would rise up from its bow after a few moments as it watched the other with eyes that did not missed much. The other would appear a few years older than itself if one was judging on looks alone; however, Oki knew the truth of the matter as it analyzed the guy. It was trying to see the face hidden under the hood, but the more it tried, the other seemed to react by pulling the hood much closer to his face. Hrmm…what was this? What was the other trying to hide? And why? Oki pondered this question for a bit before pushing the curiosity aside.

If the other wanted to hide fine. Oki would do nothing to pry at him yet and as long as the other didn’t do anything to harm it why should the Oki care for now? It had dealt with a masked person before, so a hood should be no problem right? In any case, after introducing itself, the being would wait for a response back taking note of some hesitation there; however, before the being could start questioning the silence, the male wisely spoke up.

When Oki heard the name, it would nod lightly at the other.

“Add, huh?” the being began as it looked up towards the sky for a moment in thought before green eyes were leveling with the other again. “That one is easy enough to remember. And yeah…I try to keep myself in line with manners. Kind of hard when I find something of interest,” Oki told the other as it gave him a sheepish smile. Guess the being couldn’t beat what it was no matter how hard it tried. Ah well.

In any case, when the other shrugged and let go of the camera, the being took notice of the clinching of the fists, but remained calm as it saw the action as non-hostile. When the other spoke of the tree houses and looked at the one Oki had been in the being nodded in agreement.

“Their structures are quite well done and have held up well against time,” Oki said as it looked at the trees once more. “I am thinking the trees around here are pretty strong to produce quality wood like that, but I wonder what made the creators stop with the building,” green eyes would turn back to the other. “What do you know about them?”

The being would ask its question as it nodded its head in the direction of the treehouses. While it was not sure how familiar the other was with this place, it was always nice to test for information. Who knew, maybe they could find a connection of some sort through the information….or maybe not. Time would tell.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyFri Jan 16, 2015 4:46 pm

Add knew how easy is to get eaten up by a certain something of interest. It was the reason why he was there, at the ruins. Oki then inquired about the treehouses. It was true, that the leftovers were still holding up, but who knows, how they would be looking now if they were inhabited and people were living their daily lives there. Would they end up rotting away like they were at that present, or would the people take good care of them? A question, to which Add did not have an answer.

However, he was asked as to what exactly he knew about the place. He couldn't say he knew much at all. Add wasn't native to the islands of Azores, so he didn't know almost anything at all when he had arrived. He did learn a lot of things while living here, but this place was still shrouded in mystery. "The remaining houses did hold up for quite a while. I'm not sure how long it will stay like that, though." He said and put his now freezing hands into his hoodie's pocket. It was somewhat tricky, since he had the Dynamo stuffed there, but managed to find a sweet spot. He swiftly continued his reply. "I'm afraid that I know as much as you, maybe even less, seeing that I'm far from native to this region." That's what he thought, at least. The young man didn't feel like at home on these islands. It was quiet here, though, and that's all that mattered.

Add yawned somewhat loudly, puffing out a large cloud of steam. "Oh, I'm sorry about that. Guess I didn't sleep enough lately." He mumbled his apology as he realized his bad manners.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyMon Jan 19, 2015 8:32 pm

Oki had asked its questions regarding the tree houses before settling into a casual observation of the other. While the weather was indeed cold, Oki didn’t seem phased by it as the wind blew through the area pulling at the loose fabric of its clothing and blowing away the puffs of visible air that appeared when the being exhaled. Despite this oddity about the under-dressed being, Oki's attention would remain open to any responses from the other as green orbs began to examine the forest again marking pathways and any hidden danger.
This place was strange, but thankfully didn’t give off the same air as those places connected to the other world. Still, the light tugs here and there suggested that maybe not too far away there were some tears here and there. Oki would be sure to dig around later for this, but for now it stayed where it was with its strange company.

When the other finally decided to answer, Oki would look back at the Add as it tilted its head to the left lightly. The other was making a comment about the tree houses and how they stood despite time and weather as he moved to shove his hands into his pockets. The other seemed to move in an odd way, but Oki assumed that perhaps the other carried something in the pockets that made the simple action more difficult. They were in a woods after all and unlike itself, maybe this one had thought ahead when planning to come out here.

Whatever the case was, Oki wouldn’t focus on this trivial matter for long as it folded its arms as one hand moved to tap its pale lips in thought.

“It is hard to say the time frame they will last. Some are ready to give while others seem to want to go on for a few years. I am hoping they will stay long enough to make a log on them. I’d hate to lose such priceless history just when I found it,” Oki said with a light chuckle before focusing on the next set of words the other said.

“Ah. That is understandable, so no worries. I’ll do a bit of digging in the town once I am done here,” Oki said friendly enough as it gave the other smile. It wasn’t mad or disappointed with not gaining any information. After all, Oki could not expect everyone it met to know more or less about an area simply because they happened to cross paths. In any case, Oki was open to the challenge of digging, but it would appear its companion might not be up for such a task. As the other let out a yawn, Oki found itself unable to stop from mimicking what it had seen. Covering its mouth as it let out a yawn much smaller than the other, Oki would shake its head to knock way sleep as it smiled lightly at the other.

“Mmm. No problem,” Oki said as it shifted in its spot and moved a little past the other its eyes focused on the path ahead as it spoke with its back to the other.

“I think after getting some fresh air sleep will be easy to come by for us both,” Oki would turn to the other with a curious expression on its face as a thought hit it. “Oh? Is not being able to sleep why you’ve come out here, then? Or is it something to do with that camera of yours?”

The being pointed one gloved finger towards the dangling camera before becoming quiet once more to see if the other would speak or not.

PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyThu Jan 22, 2015 3:08 pm

It appeared that Oki was into history when he mentioned making log on the treehouses. That's what Add personally thought anyway. Luckily enough, though, Oki didn't seem to be disappointed with the lack of Add's knowledge about the area. The young man felt somewhat guilty for not being to be any help at all, AGAIN, but he couldn't help it.

After Add yawned, Oki did so aswell. Oki's yawn was much cuter than his, not to mention the fact that Add had forgotten to cover his mouth. He had the hood on, though, so he hoped that the fact was not visible. /"Yawning is truly infectious."/ The young man chuckled quietly. However, he frowned when Oki dug into the topic of sleeping. He was asked about his camera aswell.

"Let's say that I'm pretty much always tired." Add answered, in hopes that his sleeping problems won't be discussed. "I came out here in order to practise my new hobby. I am still a novice, but I was hoping to learn how to capture nature properly." He would continue and ask a question of his own. It was no fun when only one side gets to quench their curiosity, right? "What brought you here, Oki?" Although he most likely already knew the answer.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyThu Jan 22, 2015 6:28 pm

This one is odd, a small familiar voice whispered to Oki to which the being only nodded inwardly in agreement. Oki couldn’t tell exactly what the case was that gave this one an odd air, but there was something definitely off here. Maybe it was the hood or the way the othe rhad tried to hide earlier that cause the being and its little friend to think such a thing. Or maybe it was the shift in the air when Oki said it was okay that the other didn’t have any information at all on this area.

Whatever it was that made the situation slightly off, Oki would hardly show it even took notice of these small details as it spoke of making logs on the tree houses that had caught its interest. While Oki was not one to preserve everything it encountered, it liked to collect history when it could. It was a fun pass time to wandering and what made these houses even more wonderful was the fact that Oki hadn’t really been expecting to find something this cool when coming out here. It was a win, win situation even with the unexpected company around. So Oki remained in good spirits.

When the yawning thing occurred, Oki could’ve sworn the other had chuckled, but the sound was so soft that the being wasn’t sure if the chuckle was real or not. So while the sound did cause a head tilt to the left and then the right, the being didn’t question the sound too much as the topic of sleep came to the front….an unpleasant subject for the other party apparently.

As Oki saw the frown, the smile it wore faltered as it shifted nervously in its spot. It hadn’t meant to offend with its words. It was just having a casual conversation. Hmm…perhaps its openness to things was too much at times, yes? Perhaps it should learn to limit what it said to avoid these uncomfortable moments. In any case, when the other responded, Oki gave a light nod as it heard the words.

“Ah. Fair enough then,” Oki would respond before letting the subject go and focused instead on the subject of cameras and pictures.

“A new hobby, hmm?” Oki said with a grin. “Never thought to take picture myself, but I have tons of books back home that could provide tips on such a art,” Oki said as it thought to the old books in its shop. The books may have been outdated, but the techniques were still superb…well, in Oki’s eyes they were at least. Anywho….

“Well, a novice is not a bad position to be in. I hope things go well for you and you become a master of the technique,” Oki said being encouraging and then hearing the question that followed it tilted its head lightly as the smile faded and it became serious as it looked at the other from a sideways view.

“Hmmm….stress. I came out here to get away from stress,” Oki said with a nod before it was straightening itself once more as it turned to the forest its arms held wide as it continued. “It was a random pick, but what better place to go than this?”

Oki would drop its arms and turn back to the other with a smile once more. “Relaxing, yes?”

PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptySat Jan 31, 2015 3:48 pm

Oki seemed to be a little suprised when he heard Add's response on tiredness. Unfortunately, it was the unpleasant variant of suprise. Perhaps the young man could've worded his response better, but whatever the true feeling Oki was experiencing had subsided as quickly as it emerged. According to him, he had some books on photography back home. /"Could prove useful, even though I have ordered two books on specific styles of photographing."/ The young man wondered as Oki continued.

He actually cheered on Add to become a master photographer. Add was taken aback, but in a good way. He really wasn't expecting this. What was even wierder, he felt grateful for it. "Thanks Oki. I will do my best." The young man thanked with a nod.

Shortly afterwards, Oki responded Add's question regarding the reason behind his travel to this place. It sounded like Oki had a fair share of his own problems, to which Add could relate. He wasn't sure if he was still a runaway or not. This region made him feel quite safe, which made him even more worried. However, this wasn't the time nor place to be worrying. Oki stretched as he turned to the forest. The young man had to agree with him, though. It was truly relaxing here, despite the ruins scattered about.

An especially cold gust of wind made Add shiver. "I wish you good luck with whatever troubles you, Oki. I'll agree with you, though. It is relaxing here. However, it's a bit too cold for my liking." He would say quietly. Add wasn't very good at cheering people up, but he felt like he should do it, despite that.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi]   The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] EmptyTue Feb 03, 2015 11:44 am

Oki had said its piece and watched the other’s reaction to its words. The other seemed to contemplate the subject of books on photography, but whether or not the other had a true interest in such a thing was left up in the air since the other did not respond in any fashion that would suggest anything accept that he had considered the idea. Ah well. Maybe this one already had books at his disposal. Would make sense if photography something boy truly wanted to master.

When Oki wished the other well in his endeavor of photographing and even suggested he could become a master photographer one day, the being tilted its head lightly as the other seemed to be shock at that words. Hmm? Did it say something wrong, then? Yes? Wait. No. The other was speaking and he seemed quite pleased with the encouragement. To this, Oki smiled as it nodded at the other.

“I am sure you will,” the being said gently before it was becoming silent to listen to the question that was posed to it. In response, the being took the vague approach with the stranger and had said the outing was to avoid stress back home. It was the truth in a fashion, so Oki didn’t feel bad about leaving it at just that as it. Besides, it seemed without words the other kind of understood where the being was coming from and in turn had enough sense not to pry too much into personal business. The small silence and what it brought with it was appreciated by the being.

After a few more seconds ticked by Oki would stretch, turn to the forest, call it relaxing, and then looking back at the other asked if he agreed. In response to all this, the wind picked up blowing a chilled air across the area and the two that stood there. Add shivered, but all Oki did was fluff up its thin coat a bit more to block out the light bite. Outside of this, the being seemed just fine.

“Hehe. Thank you. I will need much luck,” Oki said with an easy smile. Yes. Much luck indeed. It was still trying to figure out how to handle its guest when it got back home. Man... why did that have to be so hard?

Pushing the thought aside, Oki would focus on the last bit of what Add said.

“Hmmm…perhaps I am just used to the cold. I find it kind of pleasant. Oh! Let’s walk. That may help keep warm rather than standing still. Besides, I am sure there is a treasure much more beautiful than these houses to take a picture of,” Oki suggested in friendly tones, but it made no move to force such an activity upon the other. It was the other's choice after all.

The cold gust of wind seemed to have no effect on Oki. The young man took a better look at the teen. He was suprised that the teen wore probably even less clothing than himself. /"He must be quite resistant to cold, unlike myself."/ Add thought as he was invited for a walk by Oki. The young man had to agree with him; it would be better if they moved, instead of freezing in place. He wasn't sure whether the invitation was because of simple courtesy or just the fact that Add was visibly shivering. Whatever the reason was, he had no excuse to refuse. "Sure, I could use some warming up." The young man replied with a nod.

Add's hands were freezing, he could barely feel them as he shifted them around in his pocket. The Dynamo wasn't making this any easier. Despite that, though, he felt like he needed to take it with him, wherever he went. After that quick moment, he was about to start walking, when he noticed heavy snow falling around the duo.

The young man couldn't help but to look up. Even though the cold snowflakes were landing on his face, almost instantly melting. It almost... reminded him of something. But no matter how hard he tried to remember, he couldn't put his finger on what it was he trying to think of. As he looked up, at the grey distant sky hidden between branches of trees, he took no notice of his hood slowly sliding down, somewhat revealing parts of his face.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty

Oki remained more or less calm against the cold wind. As it blew, Oki looked away from the young man before it as it took in a whiff of the air to see if a storm was approaching or not, so it didn’t see the other observing it strange behavior in the cold. With no sign of rain on the air, Oki turned its green eyes to looked back at the other that appeared to be trembling in the cold. Hrm….if it had an extra jacket to lend it would, but unfortunately Oki had packed lightly and dressed equally lightly. If only it had assumed it would meet another in this strange wood. Hrm…

Pings of guilt about not being able to do anything for the other aside, the being would give the other an appreciative grin as it nodded back and moved towards the other. “Alright then. We can go that way towards the path or over that way which leads further into the woods,” the being said as it pointed out the paths as it moved until it was right on the edge of the other’s personal space bubble. Halting where it was, Oki focused back on the other. “We can also choose a random direction if you like or even head for shelter. It matters not to us,” Oki said with a light shrug as it kept a carefully kept an eye on the other.

It wasn’t sure how well Add was taking to the cold, but if the other needed aid of any sort should he get too cold, then Oki would be there to help. Despite the concern, the being kept a neutral face for a moment that only turned to a light frown as white things began to fall around the pair. As these white items began to land on Oki and melt turning to water, it took the being a moment to recognize this phenomena as snowing.

Looking from the snow on its gloved hands to the other, Oki took a moment to actually examine what it saw. The other was looking upward, the hood that covered most of the young man’s face was beginning to slide back with the action revealing bits of the strange face underneath.

As Oki took in the face, it wondered briefly if the being before him was an experiment or perhaps a machine of some sort that took human shape. The small bits of the face it could see was indeed interesting, but catching itself staring Oki would blink and look away to the paths they could choose from.

“Hmm…the snow is pretty nice, but staying out in it is not advisable. Perhaps we should take the path to shelter, no?” Oki asked quietly after a moment of silence. It was kind of reluctant to disturb the other's thoughts, but at the same time if the other was human then finding shelter was wiser in this situation. Besides, the snow was coming down heavily and would quickly swallow up paths if it increased further.

The Beauty of Ruin [Deshi] Empty

The young man could vaguely hear something being said near him, but he had no idea what it was. He was thinking about something else. The falling snow... It reminded him of something. However, no matter how hard he tried to remember what it was, he just couldn't recall it. He felt like it was a good memory, so it hurt even more not being able to recall it.

Something was said again, which shook Add back to reality, realising his almost-fallen hood. The teen who he'd met a while before was suggesting going back to take shelter. Even though Oki had most likely seen what Add was trying to hide, he still pulled back his hood as he looked at him. As much as he'd like to stay and snap some more photographs, he had to agree. The snowfall was very heavy, making it harder to see. It could get even worse, though, if wind started blowing.

Add pulled out his left hand out of the pocket and put it over his camera. He was sure that snow was not good for it. The young man then would turn around, to face the path from where he came. "As much I'd like to stay for more photographs, I'll have agree with you and go back." Add would say with a nod and started walking on the snow covered path.
