| ..For once, Sharaku had an actual reason to go somewhere. Or at the very least, he was telling himself so. He needed to go shopping..well, sort of. It wasn't a neccesity, but he could use getting himself new gloves and such. Coupling that with the fact that he disliked sitting around made it sound like a good idea to head out. If he even knew where that is. He had lived in Azores for several months by know, but it wasn't like he bothered with locations of some things. Maybe he wasn't even going to end up doing what he originally wanted to. Searching was tiresome.
''I should probably consider learning how to read a map...'', he'd sigh, as he stood in the middle of a sidewalk, somewhat lost by now....Hmm, so now what...? Maybe he could keep standing there the whole day. Or maybe not...he was probably ging to be in the way of people passing by. There was no win-win to this...was there..?

| Jack was used to seeing weird things in this town, but normally he chalked it up to his over active imagination. Some times he would just see people walk down an alleyway and disappear. Other times he would see a butterfly fluttering around in the middle of January... a blue butterfly no less. This guy... This guy on the other hand took the cake. Having nothing better to do and having tossed out all his fliers in order to save both himself and the people he would have given the fliers to some time, Jack fallowed the man. At first it was because he was sure that this guy was some sort of intergalactic emperor bent on conquering the earth, and seeing as how Jack was a Ranger in training it was obviously up to him to keep this guy in check. But as time went on jack concluded that this guy, whoever he was, was obviously harmless. Now more curious then anything Jack approached the odd man.
" Well Heeeeeello tall dark and fancy.... You seem a little lost. The wax museum is that-a-away. hehe"

| Sharaku would almost jump when he heard a voice talking to him. What...? he would turn around to face the other with a quizzical expression, golden eyes narrowed in confusion. He wasn't getting it. ''Wax..?'', he would mutter, in confusion. ''Ahem.'', he would compose himself a few moments later. ''As much as I have no idea what are you talking about good sir, it's a pleasure to meet you.'', he'd say, putting his polite tone to practice, as he bowed to the younger man. When he was done with that, he would keep on watching the guy passively, still not sure what was this all about. If whatever this one said was supposed to be a joke, it fell right through him. They didn't even have a wax musem around as far as he was aware. And why the hell would someone approach him to tell him that was even more of a mystery. Sure, he looked out of place, yes, but even if he tended to attract a bit of attention here and there, his usual luck spared him of the odd ones most of the time. Apparently not today.... | |

| "heh... Forget wax I think you're looken for the Renascence festival," Jack said smiling snidely to himself. His joke obviously went over the strange yellow eyed man's head, shame to, he felt kinda proud of that one. Regardless Jack's eyes widened slightly as he took in the older man's appearance. The yellow eyes and gray skin seemed very... out of place... to say the least. Jack thought for a moment as he look at the man, slowly a realization dawned on him. This weird guy isn't the evil galactic emperor or even a bad guy at all, he's the mentor!
Jack nearly slapped himself in the face for taking so long to figure it out. Now he HAD to know this guys story, weird or not Jack was't leaving until Jack Skelington here granted him super powers.,"Oh uh Sorry, Nice to meet you buddy, the name's Jack. You seemed lost so uh... You knew around here?," Jack smirked inwardly, the way he saw this working out, was he would help this guy get to where he was going, then he would bestow Jack with super powers to thank him. Fool proof plan!
I mean come on... He has Yellow Eyes!

| Sharaku would furrow his brows. What was this young man after? He was still utterly confused and it didn't seem it was about to get better anytime soon. ''I think I'll rather forget it alltogether.'', he'd say, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. Museums, then festivals. He was none the wiser about it, and in all honestly didn't plan on being. He couldn't care less. Did people like to sprout random nonsense, or was he just that bad at getting the meaning..? Tsk, well, whatever goes.
''The name's Sharaku, and I don't think we're buddies yet. Also, I am not new. I just have a horrible sense of direction, that is all.'', he would respond with a faint scowl. He didn't want to be snarky today, but this guy calling him buddy just made him feel creeps for a moment. For heavens sake, he really didn't want to risk an overly friendly guy latching onto him. He really didn't. He was having enough highs and lows when it came to Hyde. By now, he was starting to view extreme buddy-buddy behaviour in a rather skeptical way. That was...sort of a danger zone, to be honest.

| ... Ok this guy was magical and there is no doubt about that. Jack mentally went over his check list. One! Weird eye's... check. Weird cloths? Check. Weird skin... check. Weird name... Sharaku? Check and double check...
This guy's a magical power giver and hell or high water Jack's not letting this one get away. Not after that time in second grade when he found the Easter bunny. Granted having bunny powers would not have been ideal but was better then nothing... Also granted it turned out to be a guy in a costume but that didn't matter, this Sharaku guy was the real deal that was for sure!
"Easy there guy, didn't mean to offend," Jack said chuckling to himself. He had to be careful not to scare this guy away. That meant no snark, not wise cracks and no talking about rangers... this was going to be hard... But Jack was determined if nothing else, it that meant cranking up the formality, then so be it.," In order to apologize for my social faux pas, please allow me to guide you to your destination."

| ....Really now? ''And who said I am offended..?'', Sharaku would retort back with a slightly raised eyebrow. He had only corrected the younger, as to not call random people buddies. He was sure more than one person would actually appreciate the lack of such. It could be classified as a little creepy when someone went all friends, and you're just wondering who the hell that is. ''How nice. To what do I owe this sudden change of approach...?'', he'd ask, perhaps a little suspicious. Over the top greeting were one thing, but he wouldn't say he found people suddenly changing manners this much enjoyable. What was he to think then...? Mainly when it was someone he just met. If he disliked something, it was surely people that were trying to ass kiss for some reason. That would mean they wanted something out of him, and he sure was not a people pleaser.
''Though, if you're being honest, be my guest. I don't really care. However, I'd prefer you settle on one way of acting, if you will, mister.'', he'd add after a moment, scoffing lightly. He wasn't it the mood to deal with shenanigans. Jack better make up his mind, because he wasn't about to play games of switching personalities, that was a fact.

| "Ok... SO! Magic guy wants consistency...I can do that..." Jack thought to himself, trying desperately to get on this guys good side, his future as a super depended on it. Calmly Jack straightened his back and squared his shoulders," You seem like a man who carries himself with an air of formality, so I thought it only appropriate to match it." Jack nearly lost it. The only times he talked like that was when he was in the sarcastic flow. Talking like this without a snarky one liner? It almost hurt.
Jack was beginning to worry, he had been talking and standing in place for a while. If he was going to show he was selfless and worthy of super powers, he would have to act fast,"N-Now then, where am I leading you to today?"

| Tsk, so he had been pretty much right, had he not? Is being not yourself just for the sake of being appropriate really that appealing..? Because Sharaku didn't see much in it. And yes, his own formal acting was mostly just a pretend, but he did it consistently, not only when a situation obviously called for it. There was a difference to that. ''And, pray tell, would you do the same when faced with a insane person?'', he'd ask, this time actually rolling his eyes slightly. Though it was weird seeing as the other blatantly admitted to altering his manners just for this. Jack was either lousy at getting what he wanted, or had a different reason for this all. Whichever it was, he was not feeling very enthusiastic about it right now.
At the inquiry, he would give the younger man a sharp glance, contemplating for a while. He still wasn't decided whether he wanted to go for it. The idea of just loitering around sounded equally as appealing at the moment. Eventually, he would give a resigned sigh. Well, he could get rid of the guy later if he got too annoyed. ''I was planning to buy gloves.'', he would state simply, in a somewhat cool tone. Let's see what happens with this.

| Jackpot! Jack-pot... Jackpot.... Huh... Jack would have to remember that... Could be a good super attack name... Regardless Jack had hit the appropriately named Jackpot. Soon he would be swimming in super powers.
Jack was slightly taken aback for a moment by the strange man's question. It's not like he was trying to (consciously) impress Mr.Grim over here by putting on airs, he was just trying to respect Sharaku's effort in looking fancy by being fancy back.," Well that's obvious, I'd act like myself. Aren't we all a little mad?"
Jack racked his brain for a moment trying to think of the best place to buy gloves. He couldn't take this guy to the costume shop where he got all his ranger gear, Sharaku would think he's down right stupid! But then again a nice pair of Featherman Ranger Gloves would look great on this guy...Especially some Akibaranger stuff... AH! Getting off track,"Gloves you say... Well... Fallow me, I know just the place," Jack finally settled on bringing him to the costume shop, it was really the only place he could think of that carried fancy gloves...
Maybe Jack could pick up some new gear there himself... He'd need a new costume once Sharaku granted him powers.
Jack turned and began to walk in the direction of the shop.

| Mad. Like this guy knew much about really being mad. Oh well. ''Depends on how you look at it. What would one classify as being mad?'', Sharaku would throw back in a slightly sarcastic tone. It was pretty much a rhetorical question however, so he did not care whether he got an answer or not. He had said it just because. For a moment, he wondered what would happen in a case Jack would really decide to talk someone who wasn't completely in their right mind. That would probably make an interesting scene. Then again, he wouldn't say he himself had it all together all the time. Eh.
''You better do.'', he would state simply, when Jack announced he knew where to go. While he would have been okay with dropping it, and just lounging around instead of buying anything, he did not want to end up getting even more lost thanks to someone else. He had been to San Malarus plenty of times, but he didn't know the layout of this place as much as Penecia yet, that was a fact. Maybe he shouldn't have started here in the first place. Ah well. For now, he would follow with calm strides. glancing at his companion thoughtfully. ''Say, to what do I owe the pleasure of a random person deciding to help me for no reason?'', he'd ask after a short while, still curious as to what the hell would compell a stranger to act like this. Jack didn't strike him as the kind of guy to go offering a helping hand to everyone. Maybe it was just him though.

| Hook line and sinker.... Jack smiled as Sharaku fallowed him. Sure, this guy was a tough nut to crack, but that don't mean impossible. The two walked in a silence for a moment, this gave jack a chance to think. This guy didn't act like the mentors from his shows. He may have looked the part but he acted more like the smart guy then the mentor. Jack pushed aside the thoughts and refocused on the task at hand, he had to show this guy a good time today. Even if he rubbed him the wrong way. I mean come on, who get's irked off by being called buddy, in fact-
"Uh-" Jack was shocked out of his trance by Sharaku's sudden question. He had assumed this walk would as quiet and reserved as the guy he was leading. Jack thought the question over for a moment trying to come up with the best answer that would both show that he was selfless and just. After a moment Jack smirked slightly and turned to his tall traveling companion," Well you see I'm just the kind of person who can not bare to see someone lost. It pulls at me," Jack pat himself on the back for not saying "hero", "Ranger" or even "Justice".

| Sharaku furrowed his brows momentarily. Was that so? He was not getting this guy..at all. ''Really...?'', he would ask, trailing off at first. This was puzzling him for some goddamn reason. ''Why did you start by suggesting a wax museum when you were genuinely trying to help..?'', he'd inquire after a moment of composing his thoughts. He was sincerely convinced it was supposed to be some sort of joke, but he was not capable of figuring out just why should he be interested in wax, no matter how he looked at the situation. While he was usually good at swimming in jokes, this one was eluding him. And if it had, for some unknown reason, been a serious remark, then he'd have to question Jack's state of mind. Because, that was not a thing you casually say to a stranger.
Still, he would rather not voice what he thought alound, leaving it at the question for now. He still had plenty of time to inspect...seeing as he had agreed to this already. It better be worth it.

| "I find it proper to always open with a joke, it helps break the ice. I was commenting on your out of place clothes and how you would fit in at a wax museum," Small talk! Good! Things were getting casual. Jack would have lied and said he honestly thought he would enjoy the wax museum, but he was starting to get the feeling that Sharaku could read minds. Surface thoughts anyway... or else there would be no way he would have fallowed this far," And my comment about the Renascence festival was in reference to your formal way of speaking,"
Jack turned a corner and smiled slightly, he was still a small walk from the costume store and had plenty of time to talk his way into Mr.Magics good favor," I don't think I've seen you around town much, you said you weren't new, so do you just not come into town often?" Small talk. keep the small talk going. Make him drop something about being magical. then act surprised and promise to keep his secret in exchange for powers...

| ....Sharaku was having a hard time resisting the urge to facepalm right there and then. He was wearing a suit and all. Was formal clothing really that badly out of place to inspire a joke? One he didn't even get. ''I think it's a moot point if said person doesn't get the joke. That one was not too obvious. I don't see anything wrong with my clothes. I can wear a suit if I feel like it. Nor am I a historian to know what renaissance refers to out of the top of my head.'', he would comment, rather matter of factly. If you want to joke right away, wouldn't it be better to pick something simple enough? Or, at least a joke with a double meaning. That way, even if it isn't caught, it can be taken as a normal sentence.
He would raise an eybrow at the question. ''You take note of every person that passes by on the street? Interesting hobby. But, the answer is simple, really. I do come here from time to time, but I live in Penecia. You'd have a much better chance seeing me there.'', he would answer with a faint huff. He was somewhat wondering why did Jack care about that, but not enough to ask. Not yet.
