Coco Time! [Rita-Chan]

Hyde wanted to get to know the new users a bit better; he was actually interested in the girl named Rita. It seemed that she wanted to take the helm of things, but Hyde had to be sure as to what kind of person she was. Above all else, this would be Hyde’s attempt of trying to be friends with her. “I wonder if she would show up? I hope so….” Hyde would say as he gave Rita a message moments before about meeting him at a café to discuss something urgent. IT was something very important to him and Hyde felt like he couldn’t talk ask anyone else to help him with this right now.

Spurred on by the message, Rita could only wonder why he, of all people, wanted to see her... after all, wasn't he the one who helped her way back then? It had been some time already, but she guessed it was as good a time as any to meet him again... and regardless, if it was truly something urgent as he was saying, who was Rita to brush it off?

Needless to say, Rita got out of the house immediately since she had literally nothing else to do... well, regardless, as she moved onto the streets, a reply would be sent to Hyde's message, telling him that she'd be going, of course. In the meanwhile, she'd also look up some direction to whatever cafe Hyde told her to go to, provided she didn't go to it before already since there were a ton of them in Penecia, and just followed them.

After a bit of walking, Rita would just enter the cafe and look around for Hyde, swinging her head around the whole place in hopes of seeing someone signal her over or at least recognizing him, which wouldn't really be hard, but still, she wanted to be sure...

Hyde would notice Rita standing and looking around, making an educated guess that she was looking for him probably. Hyde took this time to make himself known and wave her over to his table. “Hey Rita, I’m sitting over here. “ Hyde would say as he waved on with is friendly outside exterior. He was very much the same on the inside, so his entire attitude towards the young lady seemed genuine. Hyde would ten wave over the waitress and make a quick order to her as Rita made her way to the table. “Hey! I hope the directions I gave you weren’t too terrible, hard to maneuver these smartphones nowadays.

Like true sights, Rita's eyes would lock on to the swinging arm or hand or whatever and recognize the man waving it as Hyde. Being that her objective, Rita moved to the table with a light expression on, not too terribly happy, but seemingly not unhappy either, more of a neutrally positive expression than anything else.

"They were just fine, my phone has Google Maps on it anyway so I just used that whenever I stopped understanding." Giving a light chuckle as she sat down, Rita would order something herself after Hyde, just a simple piece of chocolate cake and a cup of orange juice. Nothing too fancy and Rita was going to train later today anyway so having a treat now wouldn't hurt.

"So, what was it that you wanted to tell me?" Leaning back slightly, Rita put her phone back into her pocket as she looked at Hyde. Her eyes would appear to shine just a pale red color on a black background. Her hair, still the same shining silver color, would again be tied into a long ponytail by the usual white and red ribbon. As for her clothing, her normal style would be present with nothing else but a few changes due to it starting to get colder; all in all, her attire would be a relatively long open trench coat atop a white dress shirt with a dark grey scarf covering her neck.

Rita'd then lean forward just a slight bit as she rested her hands on the table and waited for their orders, shooting also a curious stare at Hyde's face.

“Well, I can’t finish this hot chocolate by myself. I was just inviting you out in order to hang out with you. I haven’t seen you in quite a while and we aren’t exactly strangers, so I figured we could get to know each other a little better. “Hyde would say this with a small smile on his face as the waitress brought over his hot chocolate. “ The idea I was going for was to order two hot chocolates, one for you and me. One of my favorite things about this café is that the marshmallows you order have this flavor intensifier in them. When you put them in your coco, it could alter the taste, like mint marshmallows, or fudge.

"Oh really? That sounds... interesting, never heard of a meal like that." She'd then call over the waitress before she left to get her order, asking her to swap the orange juice for a hot cocoa but still keep the chocolate cake, of course... after all, what was a girl without chocolate by her side?

"Then was this really all that urgent? You don't have to try and lure me in with those kinds of words, I'd be more than happy to hang out with you without them." Giving him a light smile, Rita waited for her order to come, thanking the waitress as she placed the slice and mug in front of her on the table. "Well then, what's been going on with you? I haven't seen you much since the Gym accident... oh, and by the way, I saw there was a rift thingy there in that place, has that always been there?" She'd ask out of curiosity, of course, it was a marking event for her when she awakened and the sudden opening of the rift or whatever it was made her intrigued to it... well, the same could be said about all the others, but that one in specific was the first one she saw, of course it'd be more of a prominent thing in her mind right now...

Oh I know, I had a meeting about the rift and other things with my other group of friends. They are sending me over with my friend shun to check it out. I was wondering if you guys would like to come with us when that happens. The main idea of this all was for all of us to go together and check it out, so I wanted to include you. Also, there was another person that I ran into named Julian; did you get a contact from anyone by that name as of late? Do you remember the text I sent you beforehand? “Hyde would say this, curious as to whether Rita and Julian met or not. "A meeting? That sounds serious..." Rita'd give him a bit of an inquisitive stare now as he said this, listening as he talked further on about some other stuff. "...Julian?" Yes, in fact, she did contact someone with that name... and she was very peeved by something in that meeting too, something she was willing to forget... for the right price, of course. "Yes, actually, I did meet him... He told me you gave him my number too." She took a sip from the cocoa as her eyes narrowed into a sly glare with a shifty smile curling up on her lips.

"I don't think your message arrived on my phone, actually, it must have encountered an error or something. Anyway, that's not the point... I kinda wanna know why you gave someone I didn't know my number, actually, especially without my consent..." She'd speak in a bit of a low expressionless tone now, taking smile bits out of her cake by using the fork provided with it, making small smudges appear by the corners of her mouth. She wasn't really happy about this, but nevertheless, she had the right payback for later on so it wasn't a problem for now...

"Oh yes... I should order a fudge one for myself..." She'd still speak in that same tone, except a little lighter this time, a bit more... sly, if you could call it that. Rita was actually enjoying this little scheme of hers, if you could call it that...

“Hmm, that’s strange. Why didn’t you throw your phone away?” Hyde would say with a concerning tone as he took a sip of his hot chocolate. “It’s not good to keep anything that doesn’t work, I made pretty sure to give you guys everything I knew about Julian before I gave him anything in return. You were given a heads up Rita, I don’t play around with people’s lives like that. That’s not the kind of guy I am, it isn’t a game to me in the slightest. “Hyde would say this as he took another sip of his hot coco, burning his tongue a little bit. “Ouch, this is pretty hot. However, I will apologize. I guess that’s a bit reckless of me, but we are in a bit of a dilemma where any extra hands we could get ourselves is priceless. I granted you a powerful ally, and I’m pretty sure that Julian would be more than willing to be a great help. I trust him, and I trust you so I thought you to could trust each other. Is that fair? If it isn’t…. I’ll buy your coco!” Hyde responded with a happy voice as if he was initiating a deal with her

"..." For a while after, Rita could only look at Hyde wide-eyed, her mouth slightly open while she just couldn't really understand what had just happened... seriously, it was an unexpected occurrence, for sure, Rita didn't really think of Hyde like that. Still, after he was done with that speech, Rita couldn't help but give a tiny smile and then actually laugh, not really out of spite or mockery, but simply because it was actually funny to her.

"Ahahaha! C'mon now, I'm not mad at you! I was just a bit ticked when I got Julian's message but it's fine now." She'd then take a sip out of her own mug, which should be hotter than Hyde's though her natural affinity for fire would make her able to withstand the heat with no problem. "I get what you mean, it was just a bit surprising to me, that's all..." Afterwards, Rita would look just a slight bit off-put by all this, it wasn't her intention to turn this into such a serious conversation... ah well, what was done, was done.

"If you really need all the extra hands you can get, I'll be gland to lend mine... I've gotten stronger since our last meeting too, mind you. I can give you a quick overview of what I can do in battle if you want." Rita's intention was to make Hyde know about her abilities so he could decide for himself whether or not he wanted her to help him. Of course, she'd be glad to tell him, if he so chose.

"And about Julian... I actually met with him inside the world in our school. We teamed up to defeat a Shadow because of a text message the Velvet Room sent us." Throughout all this talk, Rita would keep a low voice so only Hyde would be able to hear her, we wouldn't want any onlookers being suspicious of them, now would we? "He was a pretty good fighter, I'd say he's probably as good as I am when it comes to actual Persona physical fighting." This was all that she had seen so far from him, at least, not really recalling what happened afterwards or if Julian used anything aside from physical skills... still, though, she was sure this was more than enough for Hyde.

“Hm…. The way he got his persona is a bit shrouded in mystery. He’s like us but he didn’t get it in the same way. When I say the same way, I mean a random occurrence of potential death and destruction by some weird freak show appearing out of nowhere. Isn’t it funny that this is our lives now? I find this rather ironic in a way. “ Hyde would say as he chuckled and took another sip of his hot coco. The maid would then return with Rita’s orders as Hyde gave the girl a friendly wave. “Thanks for your hard work!” He was as enthused as usual; it was a typical Hyde moment.
“But still, was I right or was I right? Looks like you guys hit it off just fine, but I think that your interactions outside of battle is just as good as the interactions inside of it as well. Getting to know the people that you are friends with and getting along with them is key. There was something I forgot to tell you, it’s called a fusion skill. A move of where you can do a combination with a buddy of yours. You could make a unique combination that could really save your tail!” Hyde would look at the coco and then look back at Rita excitedly. “I can’t wait to see the look on your face when you try it. I hope it’s good! If it’s not, I swear I’m paying this time around, really!

"Oh, really? Interesting... I'll have to ask him next time I see him, maybe he'd tell me." With that little bit of wishful thinking, Rita continued drinking her cocoa and taking small bites of her cake in between. Once the waitress came over with her order of the marshmallow, Rita would thank her as well before actually dipping it in her drink.

"I guess so. We fought together pretty well but I don't know if you can say we "hit it off"..." Taking a sip of her now fudge-flavored cocoa, Rita gave an expression of amazement at the actual result. She didn't really expect it to work all that well, it was actually pretty amazing... "Oh wow, this is good... But anyway, I was actually a bit distrustful of him at the start, I kept my guard up and so did Nero... still, though, he seems to be a pretty good guy. I'll call him up some time or another to talk with him." Afterwards, Rita'd listen intently at Hyde's explanation of the skill, thinking it'd be pretty amazing if Nero and some other Persona could actually perform their attacks in unison... she was sure it'd lead to some very powerful combinations.

"Alright then, I guess I'll try to perform one whenever possible." Giving a slight chuckle, Rita gulped down about half the remaining cocoa, which wasn't much at all by this point, and ate the last bit of cake on the small plate. "By the way... how do you have two Personas? I remember you used something called Codas Kyrin or whatever first, then something else appeared... were both of those the same Persona or something?" She'd ask this in genuine curiosity, wondering how one would go about getting more Personae than just their first one.

“Nope, I’m something called a wild card. I have more than one, and how strong they are is usually dependent on the relationships I make with others. The stronger the bond, the stronger I get in a way. Though they all have their pluses and minuses in a sense, I also don’t doubt that you would be able to get a second persona if you continued to get stronger and cultivate the bonds that you make with people. “ Hyde would the take a cookie and dip it into his own hot chocolate. “You know, wouldn’t it suck if the cookies could talk? This café would be pretty loud if all we heard was the echoing of the gingerbread men’s last moments from either being munched on or drowning head first in coco. Death by chocolate… a sweet burial…. Mmm…” Hyde would then get a swift bite of the cookie.” Also, you should visit the velvet room Rita. “

"A... Wild Card?" With a confused look, Rita'd listen to Hyde's explanation with curiosity as he explained that she too might be able to get a second Persona if she got stronger... it was reassuring, yes, but still, it was a bit concerning to think just what kind of Persona she'd get and if she'd even get it at all...

"Ummm... huh...?" His ramblings afterwards gave Rita a perplexed expression, more so even than her previous one as she wondered where that morbid thought came from... and still, while it was interesting to think about, she couldn't help but give an awkward smile at it, not really knowing what to say... to the last part, though...

"Oh yeah, I've gone there before. I think I've gone there about two times so far, one I was summoned there by my Attendant... well, now she's my Attendant, at least, since I signed her Compendium; and another time I went there to train with Justine and got some good practice in." Rita would say that last part with a proud tone, as if defeating her was something to be actually be excited about.

I didn’t sign a compendium yet; I guess I’m still testing the waters to find an attendant that could put up with me. There was this one girl, her name was Lola, she goes to our school too. But I haven’t seen her in a while; maybe I should pay her a visit in the velvet room if that’s the case. Who knows, I might meet the other attendants as well. Hyde would say as he ate the cookie and started to finish up his hot chocolate.” We should definitely hang out again Rita, don’t worry about the bill, I got it this time. I’m not rich but it’s only fair since I’m the one that invited you out today. It must have been a bit inconvenient and all, leaving your place on such short notice. “ Hyde would say this with a perplexed look on his face, he hoped that the meeting wasn’t too inconvenient for Rita to attend.
