Falling into a new world!

Kibin sat upon a park bench with a half finished bowl of udon noodles sitting in his lap. He wasn't really making much of an effort to eat them, however, as he sat there trying just to keep awake exhausted from a long day of work. The park had needed help fixing and updating their old register software to accept new versions of credit cards that possessed rfid chips instead of the usual magnet bar and they had called in the company Kibin worked for to send someone out to fix them. Kibin had foolishly agreed to take the job having been curious about the new region he was living in. What he had not considered was that the day would be full of dealing with idiots who think they know better than him at his own job and kept insisting they do things their way despite the fact they had called upon him for his assistance in the matter. It had almost seemed like them calling him was some form of appeasement to a higher up in the staff and they had no desire for him to actually be there. Needless to say, after hours of work and dealing with people, the word was done and Kibin had reached his social limit for the day and would be content to spend the rest of it within his own mind.

That he did, at least for the time being. As he sat on the bench his half lidded eyes followed the image of a fox happily strutting about and hopping from the bench onto the ground and running about in circles, it was still a hallucination but this time it was far more real looking. It was as if nogitsune got a powerful upgrade. This would have surprised Kibin if he had actually been paying attention as Nogitsune could never shown herself like this before now. She had been talking this whole time but his mind had only just caught the tail end of the conversation as he faded in and out of conscienceness. "...close to actually physically manifesting myself... The fox spoke into his mind barely even paying attention to the boy as he dosed off and began falling toward a puddle underneath the bench... or was it. All at once as Kibin fell toward the puddle it expanded.

Kibin smacked into the ground and jolted upright holding his self from the ground with his arms and spouting a stream of curses. The udon that was in his lap had now been spilled and smeared all over Kibin's lap and he was not happy. This, of course was the least of his worries as his surroundings had suddenly changed. Kibin quickly shot to his feet and looked around. He was definitely not in the park anymore. The tall skyscrapers left in ruin and the thin layer of ash coating everything left a sour feeling in the pit of Kibin's stomach. This place looked like a war zone!

"Nogitsune are you still here!?" Kibin said in a worried voice aloud as opposed to in his head, too concerned about the situation to be worried about others hearing him. She had been showing herself visually to him moments ago and now she was nowhere to be seen. "I am, theres  something about this place thats prevents me from projecting myself the same way I did before. Thats not important now. I sense something nearby!" The voice responded almost immediately with a tone that worried kibin. His eyes darted to the left then to the right scanning his surroundings all while he wished over and over again for a weapon, something he could use to defend his self if someone tried to jump him in this strange place.[/i]

Kibin quickly snapped his head toward the newcomer and stared at him for a while before settling some. He let his tense stance relax some when he saw that the thing he had sensed was indeed human. He grinned to his self and shook his head. Why would it be anything but human? There was no such thing as monsters right? His introspection had momentarily distracted him from the other person but a word he said quickly snapped him out of it. He stared at the man with a look as if he'd seen a ghost and stumbled over his words. "D-did you just say Persona?! Your the second place ive heard that word in twenty four hours! I thought maybe it was just a nightmare but a man in a dream told me he had a gift for me in the form of a persona and that something terrible was coming and that portals to other wor...." Kibin looked around his self quickly taking in the very different surroundings and looked back to the other man with a look of realization on his face. "This is one of those other worlds.... Where is this place and what is going on!" He almost demanded the boy to answer. What had happened to Kibin lately. He almost seemed like a different person under all this stress. Usually he kept his head on strait.
