Avoiding Family Issues [Alex/???]

Alex might have come here to avoid some trouble, but he had most certainly caught another person's attention. Hachiro had been on his way back to the bar, after a shorter shift at work, when he saw Alex. He found it odd, people didn't visit Lunapa so late, but it was then that he saw the young man walk into one of the rifts. His eyes widened, was this one of the enemies that Ray had told him about? He felt his cellphone ring and he hastily looked at there was but a single text message with a single word.



That was all Hachiro needed to know, he pulled up the hood of his coat and his scarf to conceal his face. From up close all one would be able to see was a tall man and his eye color, from a distance he appeared to be a tall hooded figure. After double checking his appearance with his phone and further covering up any flaws in his attempt to hide it, he went through the rift after the boy. The older man moved silently through the dense forest, just like some of his time in Africa when hiding from less than less than friendly people. His bow appeared in his hand, and a quiver full of arrows appeared on his back too. Once exiting the small clearing silently, he set about locating the boy, eventually his eyes spied him with his back turned to Hachiro. Excellent this should make this encounter with him fairly easy. With a slight headache Hachiro summoned his Persona the white tiger beast appeared at his side silently. Both of them skilled hunters who had hunted many a beast, mythical or otherwise, they understood the importance of silent when on a hunt. The bartender equipped his silencer to the string of his bow, and readied himself to attack.




His Persona led the attack by throwing two bolas with solid rocks attached to them at Alex. Hachiro's persona had aimed for Alex's head and upper back, aiming for the biggest target rather than the smallest. It then returned to his subconsciousness. Hachiro stood up shortly thereafter, and fired two arrows in quick succession with only the slightest of twangs at Alex's Persona. After the attack, he ducked behind a tree to conceal his position from the young man. It would take someone with excellent hearing to hear the sound of the oncoming attacks, otherwise they would be almost completely silent due to the expertise and technology of Alex's attackers. If he did not hear them before they were upon him, and take the proper action, then the four attacks would knock the wind out of the young man and damage his persona at the very least.

Hachrio watched his sneak attack be failed, dammit it. Both of his attacks fizzled upon connecting with the swarm, and Hachiro was forced to abandon his position away from the entrance due to the incoming attack. While Alex's swarm had no Persona to target, it covered a larger area it made it difficult to maneuver around the swarm, therefore the hooded figure retreated. Had he underestimated the kid's power? Damn, this was rather reckless of him, but through the swarm he could see the boy pushing up, not to ready an attack, but rather...moving toward the entrance? They boy was trying to escape? The boy was rather frightened given the situation, but he had to find a way to stop this boy. Transforming would take far too long, and physical attacks were out so long as that swarm was there, that left him with a desperation tactic.

Another grunt of pain and his Persona appeared, and with a roar an arc of lighting spewed from its fingertips. The single strand split into several different strands that took the form of an electric claw. It went straight through the swarm and was on its way to intercept Alex's path. If it managed to catch him, it would hold him in place for the briefest of seconds before fizzling out. Hachiro just hoped that he could catch the boy this way he could finish the job. Though because he had back peddled, the older man was only hopeful at this point. Right now his attention was focused on continuing to evade the pursuing bee, which wasn't particularly easy.

Hachiro was surprised when his attack struck the feeling boy and actually caused him to move even slower. The older man did not expect the attack to hamstring or cripple the boy that much? Well it was to his advantage, but the issue that was preventing him from exploiting that advantage was the lack of a clear shot, and it was going to be difficult to get one...unless he had an alternative form of attack, which he did. Hachiro shot a glance to his Persona, which sprung to action as it leapt up into the trees and jumped from branch to branch using his feline nature to its adventure and made its way to Alex. It also used some of the energy of the attack to help break obstructing branches that it would struggle to maneuver around. When it was close enough it pounced on the young man attempting to knock him down using its larger size and weight as well as the energy of the attack to its advantage. If the boy was hit then he would be knocked to the  ground and have a very intimidating humanoid lion growling at him.

While his Persona was making his way through the trees, Hachiro was hastily making his way through to get a better shot at the boy, he might not be getting many more chances! The older man quickly moved closer and closer toward the clearing that Alex was going for, which would be a free range of easy shots.

Hachiro came to the unconscious young man, just short of his goal to the door, had he kept running he would have made it. Well lucky him it looks like he would be able to carry out his plan after all. He had his bait now all he had to do was set the trap, if this young man had allies then they would come to rescue him. Hachiro would then know the faces of a few of his enemies who opposed him sheerly because of his power, better to know thy enemy then to be caught off later when he is trying to enact his plan. He lifted Alex up, and carried him away from the freedom and safety that the boy sought.

He hoped that this boy had allies, otherwise he had just put in all this effort to accomplish something that he could have done later. Though first he had to secure a reason for their to be an actual rescue mission to occur. Of course, the best way to do that would be to place the boy in a place where his existence was threatened. Fortunately for Hachiro there happened to be some creatures here that were more capable of doing this for him. With the boy slung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes he carried him deeper into the alternate world. What he needed was a bit of time to investigate these worlds, after all they seemed to be interacting with the world he lived in. He couldn't let that happen who knows what kind of issues these worlds would pose to his goals, changing one world would be hard enough for him. Having to deal with several others was simply a deal breaker, if there was a way to with them then he would take it. Of course, he had better be ready for challenges that would await him on that journey because he figured they would be many. Oh well if he wanted to get this done then he would get it done regardless of those hardship. He'd overcome so many already it would be of little issue.

Finally, he found the blasted creatures he was looking for. He set Alex down on the ground where they could clearly see him, a free and easy meal. He looked toward the shadows glaring at them, and then moved away from their easy meal. He walked back toward the clearing and left the alternate world, letting the shadows have an easy meal to feast on...until he was rescued. After that was done the older man retraced his steps to the clearing before leaving the place.

Mission Accomplished, now it was time to see who took the bait.
