Mission: Question Rinna

That’s right. The news had reported that Rinna was the first person to see Lewis and not go missing, meaning she was probably his first target. She wondered how she had not put that together until now. There was one other thing that bothered her, “I think it’s more complicated than that. I remember that whenever the news reported on the criminal, I could never understand their name or see their picture. Hyde said the same thing about when he spoke with you. We had to decode the name ourselves. I don’t suppose you know why that happened?” She was wondering if there was any part of the story she was missing, but she didn’t have a lot to go off of in the first place.

She shook her head once more, “You didn’t waste our time. I promise you that. I’m just glad we found you.” She would have hugged Rinna, but she feared that would hurt the girl, “I’m sorry, but do you mind telling me about the voice. By the way you speak, it doesn’t seem like it was the same as your… unwanted guest.” She was trying to keep her words vague in case Officer Briggs was listening in on them now, “I’m sorry, but I may have to ask what that voice was and what they promised you.” She vaguely remembered Rinna’s words when they first found her, “And how did you know where to go to find Lune?” It was Rinna’s first time there, so how could she know where they were supposed to go?

She would shake her head. For once she couldn’t even attempt to give comfort to Rinna, “I’m sorry. I didn’t hear Lune’s voice that time. I don’t know exactly what you heard, but…” She had to say something, and she hoped Rinna wouldn’t hate her afterward, “I know that there are times that happens though. I was once offered something very similar. This voice came to me and offered me something if I killed a certain person. So, I know it’s not a sign of going crazy. There really is something out there that offers people what they want in exchange for hurting others.” Although the voice she heard was closer to that of a grown man than a little girl. Still, it was a voice that definitely existed. Was it possible the voice changed from person to person? That was weird. Maybe she would have to look into that too. There were a lot of strange things coming up in this conversation. She should be used to that though. Strange was just something that followed these Persona wherever they went. She had to ask more questions though. Why did she feel as if she was missing something here, “Rinna, is there anything else out of the ordinary you can recall? Anything you think may be important when it comes to figuring this entire thing out?” Her goal was to make sure this didn’t happen to anyone else. For that, she need to know everything she could. She hopped Rinna understood her intentions. After all, she was sure Rinna didn’t want this happening any more than she did.

She could only shake her head again, “It’s really not your fault.” It was the fault of a woman who was looking for someone when she didn’t knew who or where they were. She had to find that woman if she were going to keep those in Azores safe. If she didn’t, even more people would get in trouble. She wanted to tell Rinna that doing the right thing was easy, but it wasn’t and she understood why she wouldn’t want to know that. The right thing was often hard to do, because it was harder or asked people to sacrifice part of themselves to do it. She didn’t want to say that, and instead wore her ever present smile on her face, “I’ll be trying my hardest to make sure this entire thing ends. I don’t want any more people getting hurt by this.” When Rinna told her to be safe, she would nod. It wouldn’t do much good if she got hurt during this entire mess. She needed to stay safe so she could tell Rinna the good news when it was all over. That was her plan. She would pull a piece of chocolate out of her purse and hand it to Rinna, “I’m not sure if your doctors will let you have this, but sweets are supposed to help. Just keep it hidden. I’ll see you again. Bye and take care of yourself.” With that, she would move towards the exit.

Unless she was stopped for some reason, she would open the door. She would close it again behind her and look at Officer Briggs, “Thank you for letting me see her. She seems to be doing much better. I’m glad.” Well, physically at least. Mentally and emotionally was a different story. She would bow towards the woman as she was ready to leave, “Please keep her safe. Also, you never told me what kind of food you like. I wouldn’t mind bringing you something good to eat since you’re doing all of this.” If she got an answer, she would nod and head out. She would have to do her best from now on the end all of this.
