Alex's rebuttle was simple. He slid his papers away, and slid his hands into his satchel to pull out his laptop. After a bit of a treck he held up the screen where Shuunosuke could view it, keeping the look of disinterest on his face but he refused to lose this battle of Clothes vs Intelligence. The page had his grades visible, the lowest one being relevant to an A- in american grading. They were amazing grades for a guy who never really did anything but play games. "Clothes and Intelligence do not go hand in hand. If I got hired into a serious business, they'd hire me based on what I'd give them as a whole, not by what suede or velvet material my shirt is made out of." Obviously irked to a fact battle point about his clothes and his companies mocked, especially the companies. They were multi-million dollar industries, these days.

Shunnosuke stared at the notebook's screen uninterested. The max he did was cock an eyebrow as if that wasn't noteworthy. After all, the boy himself had pretty satisfactory grades that would rival those of Alex, however result of him sabotaging potential (and unilateral) rivals and, of course, his own talents and effort. — I don't know what's more thrilling in this: your concept about "serious business", the fact you actually know what suede and velvet are or your wrong statement that clothes and intelligence don't go hand in hand. Sure, they don't necessarily do, but they can. I'm a vivid example of that and I should enlighten you this has nothing to do with intelligence and competency, but with the first impression you give to people. It's more about not looking like a hobo when you have the option and I'm sure a truly intelligent person would know that. — Shunnosuke would glance to Alex's face after leaving his passive-aggressive insult in the air. — Like you said, they'd hire you as a whole. If your external appearance is neglected like yours, then you better have an Einstein brain to back it up.

His counter was simple, "Steve Jobs." Turning back to his notebook as he actually took the time to log on to a game to doublecheck when the raid was tonight. He didn't have to, in his mind, say much more than that. Steve Jobs, one of the leading business CEO's who made a multi-billion dollar company without even posessing a High School diploma, but who dressed in the most casual hipster clothing known, even wearing sweats and sandals around the office. That, and he was still stuck on the idea clothing didn't matter.

— Oh sure. You had to pick one single example that doesn't match the reality of the overwhelming majority of people in the same business to sustain your argument, soooo foreseeable. What next, you'll tell me racism is over because a black man made it to USA's presidency? — He rolled his eyes chuckling, not even considering "Steve Jobs" as a plausible spiel. In his mind, Jobs was an exception to a common rule, just like Obama, although racism wasn't something he truly cared considering his privileged position and had little to do with their actual conversation. More than not, Shun credited to himself the same level of success as Jobs: both are already financially successful and without a HS diploma; mentioning that man wasn't anything near impressive to his standards. — It's not late to give up, you know.

"Considering people like you exist with such narrow vision I doubt racism will ever be over." Scanning over the schedule for the week on his game before closing out of it and bringing up yet another game... Well, game website. Scanning over the website's list of the latest patches and upgrades to the game while conversing. It helped take his anger out by distracting him from it entirely. It was evident there would be no agreement here, period. Shun was going to keep arguing on the side of clothing, and Alex would maintain that with good practise one would not need to care about his attire.

..Wow, that was stingy. Shunnosuke narrowed his gaze towards Alex, as if his pride was seriously hurt. He might be morally ambiguous, but he wasn't racist of any kind. What a jerk. If he could, he would pick his notebook and throw it to the ground right at that moment.
On other hand, it's better if he takes a deep breath and try to stay calm over that offense: — To say you should care about all aspects of yourself and not just one is not "narrow". Take it as a friendly advice. — Staring at his notebook's screen, Shunnosuke wouldn't say anything, just scanning to the website with no interest beyond his innate curiosity. Soon after he noticed it wasn't something of his interest, he let it be and stood up from the bench. — Anyway...sorry if I Interrupted your studies. I guess I'll see you at school then, perhaps? — Once he knew they wouldn't reach an agreement, he would just leave that stereotypical nerd figure behind, although to the boy he wore the most amicable smile he could. For sure, Shunnosuke wouldn't leave him win this. Absolutely not, and he was dedicated to prove his point, but that's for later occasions. They'd have plenty of reasons to prove Shun's right point...
