| The sushi store was open, and the place was having some pretty decent service going on. The customers were great, and they enjoyed their time at the place. Hyde was actually cleaning off a table that one of the customers moved from after finishing their meal. Hyde continued to remain in a god mod, he loved his job. Even if they came to the restaurant with somewhat of a frown, filling their bellies with good food could always get their faces all bright and happy again. When the bell of the door chimed, Hyde turned over with a bright smile . “Welcome!“ The Edogawa Sushi Restaurant was definitely a fun place to work. | |

| "Matt, c'mon, I wouldn't do that to you." chuckling lightly, the teen pressed his cell phone to his ear with his shoulder, using his now free hands to pull back his hair and re-do the ponytail that had become disgruntled earlier. "I don't wanna eat raw fish either. That stuff can't be good for you, y'know." Seriously, who knew what kinda bacteria was crawling around inside?
There was a moment of silence as Julian listened attentively to his father. Then he nodded and let out another laugh. "Gotcha. I'll scope the place out for you. Maybe bring something back if it's good. ...Yeah, talk at'cha later. ...Bye." relaxing his shoulder, he plucked the phone away and hit the END CALL button before stowing the electronic away and looking up at the building he stood in front of. Well, this was the only sushi place in Penecia (that wasn't a tourist spot, anyways), so it must be the place Hyde was talking about. After tightening his ponytail, he walked to the door and pushed it open, immediately greeted by a happy redhead.
"Hey. How's business?" Julian grinned, taking a few steps so he was standing next to Hyde.

| Hyde looked to his side, maintaining his bright smile as he noticed that it was his new friend Julian. “Hey, I’m glad that you could make it. Business is pretty good today….” Hyde then looks at the table that he just cleaned and made a gesture with his hand. “You can sit here, I made sure the table was clean and everything. I even replaced the chopsticks, but feel free to ask me for a fork if you need it. I’ll be right back to get the menu… “This was a bit exciting for Hyde; one of his friends came in as a customer. Usually when business is slow and the close early, Hyde would let his friends hang out and eat for free. However, Hyde really wanted to show off how good he was at his job on business day. He took pride in the fact that he worked very hard, and he just wanted others to notice it as well. | |

| Chopsticks, huh? He didn't eat with those often. It could be a nice change of pace. With a slight nod Julian pulled back one of the chairs at the table Hyde gestured to before sitting himself down, propping his elbows on the table and leaning forwards slightly.
Quaint little place. Clean, well lit, sorta small but cozy instead of cramped. All in all, it was pretty nice. Glancing around, Julian noted that there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. Didn't Hyde say business was good? Maybe he came just after the afternoon rush or something. Or Hyde was lying to save face. Who knows? "You by your lonesome here, Hyde?" his silver eyes swept across the place for a moment before he grinned. "Guess I kinda busted your alone time, huh?"

| “Well, there are a lot of customers at night. We have plenty during the morning; I would say that the evening is the slowest. However, it’s not like ill slack on doing my job. I’ll be sure to perform excellent service. Besides, you could keep me some company for a little while. “Hyde would say as he brought over the menu and a small complementary bowl of miso soup. “Don’t mind the soup, it’s free. Before you order your meal, is there anything that you would like to drink? “ Hyde would say this with a warm and inviting face. | |

| Hm...slowest time is in the evening, huh...? Well, that worked out perfectly for him. Matthew normally got off of work late, so maybe one of these days the two of them could stop by for dinner together. Couldn't hurt for his dad to meet some schoolmates either, right?
"..." Julian was silent for a few seconds even though Hyde just asked him a question. He was too busy studying this...soup. It looked okay. It smelled okay. But...what exactly was it...? It wasn't like any soup he'd eaten before...
With a start, the dark-haired teen looked up and grinned brightly, erasing any traces of confusion from his expression. "Water'd be great." As Hyde went off to get his drink, Julian stared intensely down at the soup again, trying to figure out what kind it was. ...Seriously, what was in this thing...?

| “Right away…Hyde would say as he made a sharp bow and went off to the back. Then he proceeded to get Juilan a nice cold glass of water and bring it back to him. As soon as Hyde put the glass of water on the table, he noticed that Julian was staring at the soup. “It’s miso soup, it’s very good. It has small bits of tofu In it too, you should give it a try. By the way, are you ready to order yet? “ Picture of the soup - Spoiler:

| Ohhhh, that was tofu? Whew. For a second there he thought it was raw fish or something. Relaxing his features into a smile, Julian picked up the spoon and dipped it into the bowl, bringing the warm broth to his lips before taking a small sip. // ...Hm...Not bad~. // And it couldn't be that unhealthy, right? I mean, there's tofu in it. Tofu was pretty healthy. And even if the nutrition facts online said otherwise, he'd just keep it in mind for next time. It'd kinda be rude to push the bowl away now, right?
After swallowing, the teen tilted his head to the side in thought. "Well...what do you recommend?" That seemed safe to say. Wasn't like Julian had ever eaten sushi before, anyways. How was he supposed to know what was good? Maybe Hyde's input would be helpful.

| Curious eyes peered through the window of the restaurant. Save for two individuals, the food establishment seemed to be scarce. However, the neon open sign glared harshly against the glass. A lit sign meant it was open, right? Perhaps she should try her luck then. Amanda approached the door and pushed it open.
"Hello? Are you guys open?"

| “Me personally? I would try one of the sushi rolls; maybe the California roll would be nice. IT has avocado in it if you are a fan. “ Hyde would say as the door opened and a girl poked her head inside. “Alright Julian, another customer is here. I’ll give you more time.” Hyde would say with a short bow as he went over to the lady with a comforting smile. “Yes, we are open. Hello, welcome to Edogawa. My name is Hyde, will be your server for today. “Hyde would say with a short bow and hand gesture towards a table that was nearby Julian. After the lady would supposedly get herself seated, Hyde would proceed to get her a menu and a small bowl of miso soup. | |

| ...This was a sushi place, right? That meant Aisan cuisine, right? Then...why was it called a California Roll...? Last he checked, Asia and California weren't even close on the map. They weren't even in the same continent! What kind of logic was this...? Hiding his pressing questions behind another wide smile and a nod, Julian waved Hyde away, only to look down at his menu with a frown. Seriously, what was up with these food choices...?

| Amanda was acknowledged by one of the two before her. His boy looked very young; young enough to be someone's little brother. His auburn hair was almost shoulder length, but his jagged strands fell in a downward sweep. The color of his eyes reminded Amanda of a feline. She wondered if he was mischievous like one too?
Her gaze quickly swept to the second individual. These two seem like they were familiar with one another. Were they friends? Or did the pony tail boy merely come to this restaurant too often? He looked just as young as the server...Hyde? Was that his name? Mr. ponytail had a pale complexion in comparison to Hyde. He form seemed almost frail. Maybe she was wrong, but the attire he was wearing gave his body that impression.
Hyde regained her attention with his bow, and direction to sit. Amanda nodded her thanks and choose table recommended to her. It was close enough to watch, but far enough to give the illusion that she wouldn't be paying attention to the duo. Amanda had a bit of a voyeur habit.
Not long after she picked her perch, Hyde surfaced with a menu and bowl of soup. Amanda stared down at the murky liquid. Pieces of onion leisure tread upon its surface, and a tofu or two bobbed to and fro. She also made a face at the bowl. Soup wasn't her favorite thing to consume, but she was too polite to say otherwise.
Amanda looked up at him and smiled, "Thank you."

| “Whenever you are ready to order, please feel free to call on me at any moment. And the soup is free, so don’t worry about it. Its miso soup, it contains small bits of tofu and vegetables, it’s very good. ” Hyde would say with a genuine smile and bow as he proceeded back to Julian’s table. He got a small vibe that Julian was having a bit of a rough time, even though the food was pretty good here. “Is everything ok?” Instead of asking Julian if he was ready to order or not, he was wondering how Julian was even taking this experience as a whole. Was Hyde not being a good waiter or something? “If I may make another suggestion, how about you order the sushi lunch box set, which has all kinds of different sushi. That way, you could use that to explore your taste buds and see what you like. | |

| The sudden voice drew Julian's silver gaze upwards. "Hm? Yeah. Why wouldn't it be?" The frown was instantly replaced with a light, confused smile, as if Hyde's question was weird. Of course, he was probably right to ask; half of these things had the teen's mind in overdrive trying to figure out the calorie totals and nutrition, and the other half was just...weird. So when the redhead gave a (really helpful) suggestion, Julian was actually grateful. But of course, he just grinned widely and nodded after a few seconds. "Not a bad idea. Alright, I'll try that." Julian gave his menu back to Hyde, secretly pleased to have the thing taken away. Who knew food could be so...complicated?

| When Julian gave his menu back, Hyde would make a sharp bow and proceed to the kitchen. It didn’t look like he needed to concern himself with the other guest for the time being, which meant that he could focus on attending to the other guest. The chef in the back listened to the order carefully as Hyde gave it out; it was easy to remember since Julian was trying out one of the specials on the menu. After giving out the order, Hyde left the kitchen for a brief moment to see if there was anything else to bide his time as he waited for Julian’s meal to be finished. Hyde walked around, adjusting the chairs and awaited for more customers to come. Besides the fact that standing for so long could be very boring at time, Hyde stood tall and didn’t complain. After a good fifteen minutes or so, Hyde could be seen going back into the kitchen and bringing back out a dish that was placed on Julian’s table. “If you need anything, be sure to call on me. “ Hyde would say as he gave Julian some space to examine and hopefully enjoy his meal.
