The Dungeon of Truth

The crimson door flashed open to reveal the figure of a young boy dressed in a ridiculous outfit. Large golden shades were placed upon his face, as he wore a cape like cloak on his back, and an outfit almost similar to something Neo Featherman would wear. This young boy was none other than Kurei Katsu!, the one who saw life as a game. As he walked into the strange cavern, he rubbed a hand against his head with a wide crooked grin. "Sugooiiii! So this is Limbo?! Awesome Awesome! Katsu! Katsu! thought it would be a place where people came to play Limbo with one another, Yeah!" Katsu! spoke with much enthusiasm as he surveyed the world around him. The average teenager would probably have a heightened sense of anxiety in such a location, but strangely enough Katsu! felt at home. Perhaps because of his childish ways, he didn't see life like others. There was no worry, no doubt, no remorse, no mercy when it came to someone like Katsu! Katsu!. His brain simply didn't comprehend such emotion or view points. Thus, it made him relentless when compared to others around him. Luckily, no one really saw this beneath his innocent and friendly demeanor.

With a skip and a hop, he began to make his way towards the pathway that lead towards the giant golden doors further down the way. It was sooooo shiny, and like a moth to a flame, it caught Katsu!'s attention! "Wows, something horrible must have happened here, but for some reason I feel at such peace, yea.. " The ridiculously dressed boy would pinch his cheek as though he was dreaming. Of course he didn't wake up, and it put a tear in his eye. "Ouch Ouch! Katsu! Katsu! whatareyoudoooiiinnng, Hnmm?" Katty wiggled where he stood before rolling down onto his hands and beginning to handstand. Such a random action, but he'd begin to walk on his hands through the cavern ahead.

A mass of black Shadows would form towards the door of Limbo, as a familiar figure would walk out from the endless looking abyss. It was none other than Katsu! himself. However, this Katsu! had notable differences. For one, its eyes were a keen yellow that seemed to glow in the dimly lit cave. One would most likely suspect this Katsu! was the real Katsu!'s Shadow, but it wasn't. Infact, it was something much worst simply wearing the face of its follower. With a crooked grin, "Katsu!" would place a hand across his chest and tilt his head. "Kurei... I'm glad you've joined me this lovely afternoon. I see you've taken quite a fondness to Limbo. This world is of your creation. The creation of all of man's true hidden desires... Yet..." The doppelganger's words would trail off as he began to pace back and forth with an arrogant smug expression. "This world is continuing to grow. Soon it will swallow the real world, and become its own reality. I need this to occur.. Yet, my persistent rival has gathered those who would wish to solve the mystery of this wondrous place, and put an end to it. That can not happen." The fake Katsu would look towards the real one, before walking up to him and extending his hand. In his hand was four pairs of chopsticks. "I have a new game for you to play, Katsu. It is simple. Within each of these dungeons are clues to Limbo's creation. I want you to acquire these clues and destroy them before Philemon's pitiful subjects reach them first. This game should be quite simple for one such as you. There will be chaos to be spread. Do play...nice...Heheh..." This mysterious copy would place the chopsticks in the real Katsu's hand before slowly fading away into a black flame. He would not await any questions... However, he would leave Katsu! with a present for his future trials.

Items Received:

Remaining on his hands while doing a handstand, Katsu! would tilt his head to the side when his mysterious double appeared on the scene. Being such a childish idol, Katsu! allowed himself to fall back onto his stomach and began to kick his legs while looking at this doppelganger before him. "Sugoooii! Katsu! Katsu! didn't know he had twin-clone-sibling-android-thingies...Roast Beef." A weird greeting to the ethereal being that granted him the power to play this new game in Limbo. And apparently from what he was saying, Katsu! wasn't the only one to be playing this game! There were other players within this world. Other players too... toy... with... Heh. The young boy's innocent face turned into a low crooked smile for a flash of a second, before returning back to the innocent expression he was known for. "I love games! Katsu! Katsu! will be player number one no matter what!" Such enthusiasm from the little guy, as he pressed himself to his feet and struck an heroic pose. Behind that innocent face of his, people would never suspect the true nature of Katsu!. He didn't particularly hide it from anyone, but they thought it was more of an image he put on because of his fame. In reality, Katsu!'s childish antics were his authentic impulse. He does what comes naturally to himself like a child, and inturn these antics have no standing in his mind.

With a new agenda, and a mission, Katsu! would give a slight smirk before proceeding into the dungeon. Twirling a chopstick in his hand, he'd be skipping like it was just another day in candy land and nothing more. Surely the Shadows would prey on such an innocent child, right? The boy giggled at the though, as he stopped and raised a hand into the air. "Excuse me, monsters! My name is Katsu! Katsu!..." He'd give a slight pause before bowing his head with a crooked smile. "Please die for me." The boy's voice was still rather playful, but there was an underlying film of sinister intent behind it. When he finally raised his head, his sunglasses would be covering the glowing yellow hues from his gaze.

Katsu! stats:

Since the boy proceeded within the cavern towards the golden doors, Limbo would begin to shift and turn. The walls began to leak a red fluid that closely resembled blood, and soon a series of arms would rip up from the Earth below Katsu!. Clawing their way out of the soil would be two separate tar like Shadows. One took the form of the enemy by the name of the Venus Eagle, and the other took the form of a Shadow named the Rampage Drive. The two shadows would block the path of the one named Katsu! and remain there until the boy either tried to get pass them, or attacked. This would be Limbo's only warning not to proceed further into the dungeon towards the Golden Doors. Whatever it was protecting, it surely wanted no one to find it. For whatever reason this was, was currently unknown. However, one of the answers to that very reason was right behind those large golden doors. The only problem was getting it. That wouldn't be so easy, as seen before when other foolish Persona-Users attempted the journey.

Venus Eagle 1:

Rampage Drive:

When the strange creatures began to form, Katsu! continued to bounce off his heels with an innocent smile. He'd wait till the opposition was fully formed and blocking his way towards the door before giving a slight snicker beneath his breath. The snicker would grow into a chuckle, and the small chuckle would turn into a sinister laugh. Suddenly Katsu! had a crooked smile plastered upon his face as he pressed his right hand against his forehead in a fit of laughter. "Two new players?! How fun! Fun fun! Let's play let's play!" The childish idol seemed hysterical as he continued to laugh while clutching his head in pain. Stumbling back, a blood red mist would erupt from his body. With it came a creature born of sin that was previously bestowed upon Katsu! by the Crawling Chaos himself. Sūn Wùkōng, also known as the Monkey King, would erupt from Katsu!'s soul in vigorous splendour. This was the first time Katsu! had summoned his Persona to his side. Of course the moment it was bestowed to him, he knew about it. But he never needed to summon it in combat till today. As an idol, he could easily go through life antagonizing people without problem. However, these creatures were a different story. They needed to be handled abit more delicately, and the Monkey King was craving violence. If there was one thing Katsu! had in common with the Tainted Persona in his soul, it would be the lust for impulsive retorts. There was no thinking, only action! Sadly, most of those actions ended in horror for those who were unlucky to be around Katsu! at the time. Such as these Shadows.

"Son of Man who calls forth my power. Let us rain blood amongst these vile creatures!" The Tainted Persona spoke with a powerful voice that boomed over the screams of agony from the souls that swarmed around him. With a pure display of martial skill, the Monkey King would spin off its back paw and deliver a sweep kick towards the two shadows. At the edge of its foot, a blade of wind would fling out towards the two Shadows in an attempt to cause a small amount of wind damage to them both. Once the attack was performed, the Tainted Persona would vanish back within Katsu!'s subconscious, leaving the smiling boy with an eerie stare towards the two Shadows before him.

Stats:

The Shadows endured the blow from the Tainted Persona and prepared for their counter attack. The venus eagle would spread its wings and cast a Sakukaja spell on itself to raise its speed. In the meantime, the large tank like Shadow would bumrush the child with the intent of ramming into him at full speed and causing a small amount of bash damage. Once the attack was complete, the metal husk would skid to a stop and turn back towards the one named Katsu!, preparing for another attack soon after. Even though this Katsu! wasn't an enemy of theirs per say, the Shadows still wished to feed on them. Being created from human emotions, they had no allegiance to the one named Nyarlathotep. Even his Children were targets for their never ending hunger.

Venus Eagle 1:

Rampage Drive:

Once Katsu! was hit, he'd be flung backwards into a roll. Though he was just struck, his crooked grin remained on his face as he began to laugh even louder. "Now this is a game I can get behind! Hahah! Let's play alittle more!..Grnn!!" The boy would clutch his head in pain as he fell to his knees and released his inner power. Exploding out of a red mist would be the Monkey King once again. In all his pride and vigor, the King would spin on its back paw and send a powerful kick out towards the two Shadows. Another blade of wind would slash into them both, before the Monkey King would stop his spin and vanish back within Katsuro's subconscious. During the Tainted Persona's attack, Katsu!'s snickers and laughter could be heard mixed in with the screams of agony that came along with the Monkey King. Standing up from his kneeling position, the young idol would give an innocent smile while narrowing his eyes. "N-kun never told me this would be so much fun! I wonder if others are in here too!...I should pay them visits aswell..kekek.." The "innocent" idol would place a hand on his cheek and give a childish grin towards the two Shadows he was currently dealing with. "But first I need you two to die, tehee!"

Stats:

The child was persistent but not that much of a threat when compared to the two Shadows. Once withstanding this wind attack once again, the Shadows would attack once more. The Eagle would dive bomb the boy with its crawls to do pierce damage. However thanks to the speed boost, it it would attack twice rapidly and do double damage upon Katsu!. Once the attack ended, the Rampage Drive would follow right behind its comrade in arms and would ram into Katsu! at full speed once again. Right now it appeared the Shadows could possibly win this fight with the Tainted Persona user. However, anything could happen at anytime. Limbo was on edge... Not only did it wish to keep out those who aligned with Philemon, but it also worked against the Children of Nyarlathotep aswell. Did it truly have no alignment in this war between good and evil?

Venus Eagle 1:

Rampage Drive:

"Tch, this is getting me no where!" The usually innocent idol would yell in a fit of anger. "You stupid Persona! Kill these two already!" Katsu!'s voice echoed through the cavern as he raised his hands to his temples. Shifting his hand gestures into the form of a gun, he'd press the "barrels" against his temples before "pulling the trigger." Once this occurred, the childish boy would begin to give a distorted laughter as he body twisted and turned. It sounded like every bone in his body was breaking, as he buckled to the ground before being lifted into the air by some form of supernatural force. Suddenly a black tar like liquid would begin to cover his body, coming from his eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. It continued on like this until he was completely covered in the darkness. Suddenly this dark abyss would explode, and reveal a yellow and black chuckling jester before the two Shadows. It hovered a few feet off the ground and spun in circles with a cackle. The otherworldly being spoke no words, and it seemed quite playful. However, there was a strong sense of malice beneath its playful exterior. With this transformation, the Magatsu Hinokami was renewed for battle. Spinning around madly, it'd release a blade of wind much stronger than before, at both opponents. Even after the attacked ended, the otherworldly creature continued to spin like a child on a merry go round.

Magatsu Hinokami Stats:

After the boy's transformation, his hits began to hit much harder than before. That could be seen as apparent, as even the venus eagle took some considerable damage from the element it was resistant too. With their healths getting lower, the Shadows continued to fight but with the opponents new found power, it was just a matter of time before they were destroyed. Limbo knew this, and in turn it howled in irritation and aggravation. The Venus Eagle and Rampage Drive would both attack the new creature in unison, but even they knew at this point their destruction was inevitable.

Venus Eagle 1:

Rampage Drive:

The other worldly Jester gave a maniacal laugh at the attacks taken from the Shadows. Truly they were inferior when it came to his strength! So in response he would dance around with childish giggles and laughs before suddenly stopping and swinging a hand into the air. Blades of wind would rain down upon the two Shadows once again. This time one would most likely fall to the power of the attack, leaving a single eagle remaining to face death next. Either way, Magatsu Hinokami flew in circles as if the world was his oyster. He hardly paid attention to the dwindling Shadows, showing just how much weaker they were when compared to himself. It was the ultimate form of disrespect, but the God did not care for such things. He was a higher being with power above man! There was fun to be had in these small moments of his freedom! Though even the otherworldly Jester knew that very soon its time would be up, and he'd be transformed back into the pathetic form of the one named Katsuro. It almost made him sick just thinking about it, but that wouldn't be able to be seen as he continued to float and laugh like a child.

Magatsu Hinokami:

The rampage drive was down, and now only the eagle remained. Hovering in place, the eagle was obviously injured but it continued its attack upon the demented Jester. This boy was a demon, and it was this madness that would be the end of this Shadow most likely. As its final attack most likely, the Venus eagle would dive bomb into the Jester for a strike attack. Once hitting the demonic boy, it would glide back to its original position and await its defeat. Even a Shadow knew when something was hopeless, but the craving for flesh drove it to continue the fight till the end. After all, their whole purpose was to feed on humans.

Venus Eagle:

Brushing off the last attack, the demonic possessed child would flick a finger towards the last eagle. The bird would then be pelted with shards of ice that were small in size, but looking to pierce him all around. Hopefully this would get the Shadow's health low enough to finish him next turn, though the Child felt his powers slipping from him. In a matter of seconds, he would most likely revert back into his base form, drained of all his power. Even with its back against the walls, the deranged Jester by the name of Magatsu, gave snickers and laughs to the situation. It was almost as though it didn't comprehend that its death could surely come soon enough. Or maybe it knew that even if the host body one day died, it could live on as the filth of underworld like it was once in the past.

Magatsu Hinokami:

With the destruction of the Shadows, Katsu!'s fused form would disperse, and out a black miasma there would be the small frame of his human form. With all his strength drained after his transformation, he'd give a maniacal grin before back back towards the exit of Limbo. "I guess.. my time is up around here. Heheh.. That's okay. As long as the Persona-Users N-kun doesn't want to reach the clue, do not.. I'll have plenty of fun. And even if they do, I'll be sure to be there and give them a few "pats" on the back.. Kekek.." The sinister little idol would give a snicker before dashing back towards the exit of Limbo while laughing carelessly.

[Falling back from Limbo]
