The Rocky Event (Mass Awakening)

In the bright afternoon of 4 P.M., light shone through one of the smaller openings into the rocky caverns of Penecia Island. This attraction was rather lovely to look through, as while the caverns did not go too too deep, they were sizable and in some places where water built up, made a rather lovely sight. Though, it seemed that lately visits to the area were less frequent, most likely due to the missing people that were last seen around San Malarus. The caverns were almost tranquil with the lack of tourists and goers, and so was this particular place, which had a small opening from the surface, or could be reached in some time if one went into a larger entrance. It was still quiet enough to only be able to hear the waves of the ocean outside. Would it be worth going to today?

When Shun is not at his school, he'd most likely go to a mall to entertain himself, like most teenagers do. However, while there were many shopping centers at dispose, he probably knew them all from top to bottom and, while pretty much a good distraction on a daily basis, malls would grow tiresome over the time, it's just the natural tendency of everything. And to get rid of his boredom, school classmates won't be of any use, that's for sure. Not because Shun despises them (which was partially the truth), but they had nothing to do with him. Different looks, different interests, different aspirations in life, so why bother? He'd rather still hang out with his former friends from the old private school he attended in Penecia. Apparently, after his departure and transfer to Zela Academy, another girl, a former classmate and close friend — or should I say, "friend" —, replaced him as the leader of the school social scene and Shun, not unaware of this fact, was determined to sustain his still strong presence among them. This is one of the occasions when you realize you have "frienemies", as the teens nowadays refer to those you have an intimate yet suspicious relationship with, more like watchful rivals. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer", right?

On a second thought, even they were not as entertaining and funny to be around as they used to be. For some reason, his old group of homegirls was afraid to go inside the Rocky Caverns that day and everyone rejected his phone calls and invitations to visit that place. Well, you can't really blame them, last report on the radio about a criminal wandering around made everyone suspicious about Azores's security, but as reckless as any teenager, Shun was an exception to that. He really didn't care to go inside the caverns alone — in all honesty, the whole scandal happened in San Malarus, not Penecia. The logical (and unwise) deduction is: he's out of risk. And come on, the sight was really soothing to let it pass and he needed that, something to soothe his spirit...but it also was a bit eerie. There was this foreboding aura all around that place that bothered Shun for a bit, but he was sure nothing bad could happen on that alone tour... or could?

Akira sat down on a large rock at the entrance of the cave. Akira took a sip of his soda he had bought at a vending machine earlier. He sighed as he looked up at the sky. He has been asking around town about the people that were missing but none of them brought any information for anything that might of happened to them. Everything doesn't make sense at all to Akira. He sat there for a while before finishing his drink and standing up to throw it away. As he walked back, Akira put on his headphones as the wind blew at his black and blonde hair. Akira then lied down on the large flat rock. As Akira lay there, something felt out of place. Maybe it was because he was the only one at this famous attraction but it wasn't because of that. He couldn't explain what it was.

After qspending quite sometime staring at the sky, Akira sat back up and saw someone standing in front of the caves. The boy seemed familiar. Akira looked at him for a little while before remembering him from his class at school. He walked up to him to say hello. Yo, what brings you here to this empty place. By the way the name's Akira, I believe we're in the same class." Akira would say as he took of his black headphones.

Being the nature loving guy, Nea didn't think twice about visiting the caves once he heard of them. Sure, it was on a different island, but if it was for something like that, he'd travel to the end of the world. Even if his preferences were for the green part of the nature. Rocks were always a cool change of pace. And there was a beach too! Well, wasn't that awesome? Therefore, soon he found himself skipping along the beach excitedly, on his way to the caverns, his pet fox padding after him, trying not to sink into the sand. Eventually, he would pick Tsume up, to move quicker. Sand was such a bother sometimes, even if it was a fun place to play in.

Being his cheery, optimistic self, Nea didn't think much about the lack of people and almost eerie quietness. To be honest, it only served to make him more eager to check it out. Mysterious stuff was exciting, wasn't it? For a while he would walk around the place, not going in yet, simply observing the outside. Until one turn, he spotted some guys hanging around. Hmm, he didn't know either of the two, though he had the feeling he may have seen them at the academy before. Probably a year younger or so. Well, that didn't matter to him. ''Hey guyyys, mind if I join ya here? It's boring to explore on your own, ya know?'', he would call out to the two cheerfully, walking over with Tsume in his arms. The white fox would give the two a glance, but would soon turn round to continue snuggling into Nea's arms.

Mayu loves to travel and explore but not on creepy places like caves and graveyards.She doesn't want to enter the cave but her curiosity got the best of her.So she entered the cave.It was 5 minutes since she entered the cave and she started hearing voices.It is not ghosts' voice but human voices.She is glad that she is not alone and followed the voices discovering that there also teenagers inside even the guy Akira which she met on the amusement park is also there.

"Uhhh.... hello guys! you exploring too? can i join?" she said

The few moments that passed after the small group showed up in the cavernous area would fly by, as though time itself wished to hurry to the main event. At once, the water would stop flowing, the wind would stop blowing, and everything that was moving in the cavern looked as though someone had hit the pause button of the universe. It was dead quiet. After a few more moments, the rocky caverns would change into a black and white set of color, though the four would remain moving and have their color. Electronics would stop working as well. It was truly a sight to behold. What was even more odd was that if any of them looked, on the rocky wall in front of them, a few places would start to bubble, looking as though something…or someone was about to burst from those walls. Something was coming. What was going to happen to these four?

Well, that was unexpected. For someone who was hoping for a moment of quietude and stillness, it definitely started the wrong way and one of the guys who popped up right after him even introduced himself like he knew Shunnosuke from school. Really again? First, the guy named Hyde, now another one named Akira... Is this what Hyde meant when he mentioned something about Shun having his "own fanclub"? Oh gee.

— I'm not "exploring" anything, just passing by. Feel free to do whatever you want, I'm not the owner of this place. — He would say to the unknown girl who was the last one to appear. Well, nothing really important, though. He wandered around not too far from the other group, checking his mobile phone when, somehow, he got again that eerie feeling. That alone wasn't something to bother Shun while he busied himself searching a specific number on his mobile phone; what thrilled him the most came after.

— ...what...? — That was the first thing he said. Was his vision the problem? The natural color of the scenery changed...how come? A bit skeptical, he wondered maybe night felt before he could notice... His own suspicion wouldn't allow him to believe that theory, but what else could it be? Shunnosuke then returned his attention to his mobile phone...which wasn't working! — B...but how...? — He muttered, surprised. It was working right before, wasn't it? And that model is one of the latest, it didn't show any dysfunctions so far. As if it wasn't enough, the walls were giving off bubbles to its surface and it was clear the sudden death of his phone could probably be related to that cave. So, all he should do was to leave it, simple as that. — Gee, I can't call my limo! I had enough already, I'm going back. Can anyone lend me a cell phone, please? — He would reply, politely, but with an obvious authority tone to the other fellows. Honestly, the teen didn't know about that strange phenomenon, but whatever was going on inside, it wasn't normal, he knew that much. And he wouldn't stay near the walls either to discover.

Mayu was shocked on what happened.Everything around them turned black and white,the water falling sound stopped and the winds entering the cave are gone! She tried to open her cell but it seems that electronic are stopped.The bad thing is that something is hitting the wall like someone wants to enter the cave by breaking the rocky walls.

"Uhhh.... guys.... What's gonna happen?" she asked shivering in fear

"Is this a dream? Please! I want to wake up!" she cried

Akira kept on walking and stopped as soon his music stopped playing from his headphones. He felt the strange feeling again as the landscape changed. He closed his eyes and opened them again, the landscape did not change back to normal. He looked at the wall in front of them as it was giving of black bubbles.

"Interesting..." Akira muttered as he touched the black substance on the wall. It felt different from normal liquid and had a weird feeling he couldn't describe. He then turned to the people behind him. "Everyone calm down. My phone's dead too so let's just go back to the entrance. Everything is gonna be fine." Akira knew something was wrong and he had a unshakeable feeling that something bad is going to happen very soon. The need to get out of this place immediately.

What a strange company he got there. One of them wasn't even happy about people coming around. Well, to each their own. Nea wouldn't be too bothered and was about to cheerfully suggest something, when the scenery started acting up. "Wow.This looks pretty cool. I wonder what it means...", he would mutter, looking around the now black and white place. "Hm? Sorry, but mine ain't working either.", he would say a bit dejectedly after the question and a quick glance towards his own phone. That sucked, didn't it. "I guess we'll just wait and see? Strange as it is, this looks exciting." As usual, he wasn't thinking about consequences too much.

At once, the black spots on the walls began to shoot out a black tar that leaked around the rocky edges of the shallow pond, while a third bubbling area leaked into the water itself, changing the depths of the water’s color black, while somehow preserving the whiteness of the surface. The tar in the remaining two areas would start to ripple, like something was coming from the impossible depths of black the tar had. In one spot, a skull of what appeared to be some kind of wolf or creature similar began to surface. And in turn, a body, and feet came behind it. In the other bubbling spot, numerous loud tapping sounds were heard, and it seemed to be coming from a rather large beetle-like creature, the side of a dog coming from the pool of black.

Shadows:

Though the moment these new creatures appeared, the group would start to feel a certain feeling within them begin to surface in their heads. Shunnosuke would hear a female voice within his head. It was a young voice, a pretty one. “You must need me yes? Do not hesitate to call upon my power, our power if you need it,” the voice said. Akira would hear a voice of a man, who somehow sounded much like a young boy, ready for action. “Aha…so this is the time? Boy, if you need me, you know who you must call,” the voice said. In Nea’s head, a bark would be heard, and following, the voice of a young yet sinister being. “It is the time to show these monsters who truly has power. Call for me,” it said. And finally, in Mayu’s head the voice of a mature female sounded. “Young one, do not fear these creatures. You already have the tools necessary to face them. Go forth, and call your inner power,” it said. These four had just heard the voices of their inner beings. The fight had not yet begun, as the Shadows still seemed fairly wary of their surroundings and these humans. The four had this moment and this moment only to call forth their inner power for the first time before the fight began. Would they prepare for a true battle that would test their survival instincts?

The sudden sight of those...."things" or whatever they were was enough to make the teenager release a very high-pitched frightened scream, followed by him covering his mouth with both hands a second later. What were they? And how did they come from the walls? More than upset about the lack of function of their cell phones, meaning no communication, more than annoyed at the other guy's apparent excitement over the whole situation, he was...scared. The rational side of his brain was strong enough to shut his mouth quickly and make the boy retreat calmly a few steps back, getting closer to the others. He wouldn't even blink at those..."creatures".

“You must need me yes? Do not hesitate to call upon my power, our power if you need it”

— W...who said it? — Shunnosuke uttered, in a low tone, while looking at his companions with suspicion. No, that unknown voice wasn't of anyone there, he knew that. Moreover, the voice was so limpid it's like it was coming from inside of his head, which made nothing but to leave him even more desperate. It seemed the four of them were the only ones in the cavern and there wasn't anybody else either, so...who? — I-if that's someone else's prank, you're so gonna regret messing with me, did you listen?? Whoever you are, appear! Now! — Apart from the overbearing yet trembling tone, Shun was almost sure it wasn't any joke, even if his logical reasoning insisted in finding a rational explanation. The moment he instinctively held the rapier-like brooch, attached to his blazer, and looked behind, Shun confirmed everything there was real: a woman-like creature surrounded by fading light, hovering right behind him. That strange awe that came when he glanced at her...there was no way it'd be a prick at all.

— So, there you are...

Mayu paralyzed in fear as she saw the creature or shadows to be exact.Mayu thought that this is a dream or maybe a nightmare where she needs to wake up.She closed her eyes and as she closed her eyes,she heard a voice,a woman's voice.

“Young one, do not fear these creatures. You already have the tools necessary to face them. Go forth, and call your inner power,”

She opened her eyes but it is not the rich girl and there are no other girl around except for the two of them.

"Who is it?" she asked herself.

"Call my inner power?" she asked herself an another one then she saw a light coming from her back.

She turned around discovering a woman in red gown behind her.She looks beautiful if we will describe her completely,her eyes were black and there is a conjoined 16th notes as her mask,a golden brown hair,she wears white gloves,and finally her beautiful red gown that covers her from chest to foot with stars on its lower parts.Mayu is familiar with that woman for somehow.

"A-alunsina?" she said

Yes, Alunsina.A sad fairy tale that tells her to be careful with her actions when she was a little girl erm I mean boy.She loved that fairy tale so much although it is sad that it is her bedtime story.Enough with that for now because this is the time to stand-up.

Akira stared at the strange creatures in shock. He started feeling uneasy as he watched those "things" crawl towards them. "Ha ha, this is truly interesting." Akira softly said as he took a step backwards. Whatever those things were, Akira felt something bad will happen if they don't do something quick.

“Aha…so this is the time? Boy, if you need me, you know who you must call,”

"It's been awhile since you've talked to me." Akira softly spoke under his breath in reply to the voice. He had heard this voice countless times before when he was younger. Each time he heard it was when it was a time where he needed help the most.

"Dolus." Akira said light started the shone around him. He has never heard of that name before, but he felt strangely familiar with it. Akira looked around and saw black feathers with golden tips fluttering around him. He instinctively glanced back and saw a giant figure standing behind him. It was black knight with black and gold feathers, resembling a bird. It wielded a black sword. Even thought it was his first time seeing it, Akira felt unusually calm as he stood there with a slight smile.

"So you finally show yourself..."

"Eh?" Okay, Nea liked exciting things, but this was starting to get a bit too weird. Monster thingies forming from blobs of black? What the actual hell? This was not normal in his book. He would take a step back at first, unsure of how to react. And one of his companions screaming did not help the mood at all, that was for sure. Honestly, he was more confused than scared at the moment, but the difference wasn't too big at the moment.

He had no idea what to actually do, until he heard a voice in...his head. What now?

"It is the time to show these monsters who truly has power. Call for me."

...That was unexpected to say the least. But, that voice sounded nice enough? At least Nea thought so. Well, he didn't have much of a choice there. Besidea he was curious as well. "Allright, come on out!", he tried to sound cheerfull, though it wasn't as easy in this situation. Brief flash of light later, he was faced with a six tailed blue fox which was baring its fangs at him mischievously. "Wow, cool. Well, let's go!" He stil didn't know what was going on, but he sure felt much more confident now.
