Confrontation with Smiling-Sama

Kahn watched his assault only be half-successful, and nothing more. This was very frustrating, come on, people's lives are on the line and he can't even conjure up enough damage to phase this masked man. Hopefully the others were doing, it appeared they were doing something to ready themselves for the upcoming attack. The attack came as a hail of arrows from the ceiling above them, there were too many to really dodge or raise a quick defense for. A few of them caught him in the chest, and knocked the breath out of him. He fell on his back from the impact of them, those seemed to hit harder than the other ones did or maybe it was because those caught him in the chest. Whatever it was, it hurt...bad. He had suffered worst hits, but that did not take the sting out of this one. The red haired avenger reached up to grab the arrows, but they weren't there. Upon closer exception there was no physical damage, just pain where they had hit their mark. He pushed himself to an upright position so he could see his enemy. Did this maniac ever stop laughing!? Kahn would let out a low swear as he tried to get back up and on his feet.

Watching Destiny join her in defense, as Hibiki chose to strike, the Mask decided instead of anything magical, to do some sort of rain of sharp projectiles. Even guarding, Ruo was able to notice it quickly an step aside to avoid the first few shots, but she had to take the last few, which did not hurt her too badly. For one, he was already weakened, Ruo had heightened resilience for the moment, and she was also strong to this type of attack, so she was able to take it, and be ready to go. Kahn was not so lucky and was knocked down from the attack. Naito seemed to take it like it was nothing and strike him several times with his sword. He must have a lot of confidence or plenty of strength to do so. Though, she knew for sure if the man tried something next turn, she would fall. And she did not want to defend herself again. If she could get the drop on him now, maybe she could give her and the rest an advantage. She really had no other option. If she fell, at least she fell performing her role-the role she was made for: battle. In a short second, a sudden blue flame would appear over her eye as though it was coming from it. She had to cool down and this was the only way. Behind her, her Persona Maya would appear, standing at around twelve feet tall bent over and looking over her as if observing hers and the Mask’s actions. Then, the flame from her eye became much hotter, and much larger and more intense, as the restictors in her body had suddenly shut off. She was going into her overclocking state; Orgia Mode. Her shoulders started to suddenly bulk up and stretch out onto her arms, while parts of her arms began to turn black. No, it was black material was rising above her skin as though revealing something under it. It would be covering her arms and stretching them over to her forearms. In a few short seconds, her arms would be transformed into large, sharp sword-like objects with coolants built into them as well, which emitted a blue flame near the hilt. If it was not obvious that Ruo was mechanical in some way or was a complete robot before, it was now.


Ruo would suddenly be much quicker and stronger, and would quickly rush to the Smiling Mask as Maya would point two fingers at her new temporary sharp arms. She would close the distance in order to make two stabs, one with each arm. She would stab with both arms once more, as she had much more speed to attack in this mode, before quickly rushing back after the attack had finished.

    Praise the gods she’d defended herself. If she hadn’t been ready for something to fly at her, the arrows could’ve hit Destiny’s head or chest and done a lot more damage. Although she was sure she’d be nursing large wounds in her arms later, she was thankful that she was still alive, at least. Lowering her hands from her head, Destiny inspected her skin, shocked to find no blood despite the stabbing sensations in her nerves. // How…? //

    In her peripheral vision, Destiny caught a glimpse of motion. Turning her head to take a second look, her hands flew to her mouth as she saw Kahn on the ground, her arms aching at the sudden movement. Glancing at the others, worried that they had been hit just as hard, she was relieved to see them still standing. Naito attacked Smiling Mask directly, and Ruo—

    // What…? // …That…that transformation…it was physically impossible. Personas could do some rather strange things, but even this was going just a bit far. What in the world was Ruo…? Destiny watched, stunned and somewhat slack-jawed as the dark-haired girl rushed forwards and attacked their opponent. Goodness, she was fast…! …Ah! No, this wasn’t the time to gawk or ponder! This was a fight. She had to stay focused. For the time being, she had to concentrate on what she could do to assist.

    A card floated in front of the blonde’s face, and she reached both hands up to grasp at it. As her fingers interlocked, the card shattered into glowing shards, slipping through her palms and fluttering to the ground. Thalia sprang up behind Destiny, twirling once before she grinned at the teens in front of her. As her owner bowed her head for a moment, almost as in prayer, the blue-skinned figure blew a kiss, causing all of the persona users to glow briefly. The persona remained behind Destiny, its gaze flitting about the shrine as it awaited further instruction.

As Kahn got to his feet he noticed someone's very interesting transformation. Ruo changed, drastically beyond what he imagined a Persona or human could do. Well if she wasn't human then what exactly was she? Well she was fast, that was for certain! She unleashed a flurry of attacks toward the Smiling Man at a high speed. Yet the Smiling Man really did not seem phased by the barrage, the only one doing consistent damage appeared to be Hibiki with his lighting. Oh well, it was progress in some way or fashion. While he made this observation, he felt some of his strength return to him, which must have been Destiny seeing how everyone else was busy. As Kahn began to get up he noticed a very strong wind around him, but in his position he was unable to dodge. "Sunva.." He began before he was cut off by the cutting wind striking him. Not wanting to remain on the ground any longer he got up to his feet, and summoned his Persona once more.

Richard rushed forward once more swing his kite shield horizontally to strike the Masked Man in the face, regardless of the success of the first blow he would thrust his broadsword forward into the lunatic's gut. Hopefully this would knock the lunatic to the ground and allow the rest of the group to pounce on him, and deal some serious damage or lick their wounds.

Watching the Mask in a much heightened state of awareness, he would unleash with his focused mind a large wind blast directed towards Kahn, who could not avoid it. But luckily it did not hurt him too much since he was able to get up and attack once more at him, though again missing one of the attacks, and most likely not doing much damage with the first one either. Hibiki would get a decisive lightning strike, and Naito would use his other Persona to once again, weaken the Mask’s current strength. Speaking of which, she saw that her own form of resilience was now gone. She would have to keep that in mind for the future battles. Soon this mode would be done, and she would overheat and not be able to do anything, so she had to be ready for when that happened in case the Mask was planning on hitting her. Immediately running back, she would feel a light sensation over her body most likely from Destiny, but she could not waste a single second pondering that any longer. She would make four stabs at him again, two from each hand as Maya would point towards each of her arms in turn, the blue flames increasing in intensity wherever she pointed. While Maya sat in a rather lazy posture, her mouth pursed as if curious to see what resulted from her strikes. For Maya had no eyes, and her emotions could only come from her mouth, posture and voice. Once the attack was done, she would apply pressure to the ground with her arms and push herself back next to Destiny, looking straight at the Mask, readying herself for a final strike before she eventually overheated.

    Tsk! Striking Kahn while his guard was down was awful. Then again, it wasn’t as if there were any rules to this fight; even if there were, Destiny didn’t think Smiling Mask would follow them, anyways. His intent was to kill, not scare or hurt. Luckily, diverting his attention to only one person left Naito, Ruo and Hibiki to strike at him again, and as far as she could tell, they all hit their mark. That left her clear to take care of Kahn.

    How convenient that Thalia could communicate wordlessly with her owner. The blonde merely shared a glance with her persona before the blue-skinned woman nodded and grinned, skipping a few steps closer to Kahn before she blew him a kiss and twittered girlishly. In response to her gesture, Kahn glowed white for a moment. Sending the redhead a bashful wiggle of her fingers and a friendly grin, the persona quickly twirled and skipped back to Destiny’s side, locking her fingers behind her back and focusing on the others as the fight continued. // So far so good… //

Kahn watched everyone else unleash a barrage of attacks, one of Ruo's seemed to hit home! The criminal was knocked to the ground. Now they had a chance to do some real damage to him! As he was getting ready to make his next move when he felt a white glow envelop him. A rejuvenated feeling flowed through his body. He looked toward Destiny to see her Persona wiggle a finger and smile at him before returning to her owner's side. "Thanks, you two." He would say before turning his attention back to the Smiling Man who was just struck by Naito's lighting. Well fortune favors the bold, or so they say.

Not wanting to be left out, he would summon Richard once more. The knight appeared with the English longbow in hand and an arrow already knocked, however there was but a single arrow this time around. The tip of the arrow was sheathed in a flame that nearly matched Kahn's red hair. The bowstring was pulled as far as it could go as Richard lined up the shot. Fingers encased in a metal gauntlet would loose the shot, and a loud "Twang" could be heard as the bowstring's vibrations cut through the air. The burning arrow would catch the Smiling Man in the chest burning him and his clothes as well.
