It was about time she made this journey. Lately she hadnot gotten into contact with Cain and Sagami, but had left them a rather long message over phone explaining to them what she could, and if they could, to meet her at this time at the carnival in Yoro. With Kogami and Gabby, she was able to explain to them face to face about why she suddenly sprung on them this gathering. She had recently come across a peculiar woman right after the principal was murdered at her school, and after some thought, and consideration on what she said, she had little doubt that this woman had some sort of power that related to Personas, or even Shadows. Once more, she also was trying to get them to meet a man, perhaps someone above her whom she referred to as “Smiling-sama”. She had given a hint to come “where the clowns meet”, which to Lorielle, seemed like she meant the local carnival. She had trained with Gabby to prepare for the upcoming trip, and had explained to her and Kogami what was going on. She would walk into the carnival, standing near the entrance, and wait for any of her friends and allies to show up. She had little hope for Sagami and Cain, but she expected Gabby and Kogami to be there. She may need them if whatever happened here turned out poorly.
She had grew a bit in strength, and felt a bit more prepared to see what happens, though she was a bit on edge today. Recently, an announcement came up on a known website, where this one man had given a similar message, to “come where the clowns meet”. Pulling out her phone, and looking at the website from it, she would look at the picture of what this man “may” look like. Was this “Smiling-sama”? Once more, he had very golden eyes, which only was a hunch for Lorielle, but if she was right, this man had a special power after all. He seemed to be spouting the same stuff Scarlet was talking, about a world of pure joy and happiness, and referencing Anya Satoshi and Yostun Kirito, the former was now at the hospital, and the latter woman was still missing….or was she? Lorielle would give the website a glance over one more time, seeing a face she knew pop up. Naito Tsurinai if she remembered correctly. When she met him, he was not acting this way, so why would he put this up on the website? Unless someone was posing as him? He also had the golden eyes, so maybe Kogami’s suspicion about him having a Persona was not entirely unfounded. Either way, she would put her phone away and wait for her friends to arrive, eager to get on with this event Scarlet and “Smiling-sama” seemed to want them to take on.

There was a reason Gabby didn’t go to the carnival; it was loud. Se was getting better with being around people and in loud places, but she wasn’t great with it yet. She wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for Lori calling her up and explaining about the masked man. She wasn’t too keen on the idea of fighting a man she knew nothing about, but Lori had asked for her, so she was happy to oblige. She passed by until she finally saw the blonde standing there, waiting, “Sorry to keep you waiting. I’m ready to go whenever you are. Just be on your guard, okay?” She was honestly nervous. She didn’t know what would happen once they went looking for this guy. Maybe nothing, maybe a brawl that would send this entire place to the ground. She was worried about it, but she wasn’t going to show it. She needed to be strong. One person panicking could bring everything crashing down, “Oh, or are we waiting for the others?”

“So ill make myself relevant…” Kogami thought to himself as he was approaching the carnival. He wasn’t too sure of himself as to why he decided to get involved after seeing that streaming webcast. However, this was a request from Lori. It seemed that things were starting to get serious, and he wouldn’t want her and Gabby to go alone. “I talked a big game of being one of the strongest, it has no merit if I don’t fight for my own. “ Yes, this one of the new meanings that Kogami found for himself. It was worth it if it comes towards helping other children, because nobody wants to really be alone. It completed him in a sense, that he was actually able to do something positive for once. Kogami arrived to the meeting spot with his purple hoodie and street clothes. He looked at lori and looked around a little bit, it seemed that Gabby didn’t arrive yet. “ I see, not sure if anyone else is coming. But either way…” Kogami mumbles to himself, not really enough of a pitch for Lori to hear. “Yo..” Kogami finally said to Lori after a little bit of silence. “It seems to me that the strangest of things is starting to happen, but I’m sure everything will be alright. Attest I hope so, but I can’t help but shake off this strange feeling. With all these things he talk about, the new world and saving people. Sounds alot like the religion that i made up..right?“
That was true in a sense, it had a few of the things that made the religion relevant. It was a good thing that people didnt start to piece these two together and harass the Cult. Its also been a while since he allowed his mark of chaos to engulf his entire body and cha nge his appearence. He kind of liked to appear as the prophet, but perhaps this wasnt the time. When Gabby arrived, he waved. "Alright, i guess the gangs all here.. or were waiting for more? Cain?"

She had felt a bit of relief when Gabby showed up. She was glad she decided to come along. She was also wearing something casual like Lorielle herself, so blending in would most likely be no trouble. She would give her a smile. “Yeah, I am glad you came. We are waiting for others to show up. Cain, Kogami and Sagami may show up….though I haven’t heard from Cain or Sagami in a bit…so I dunno about them…” she said making a passive frown. If they did not show up, it would only hinder them a bit. But they may have to continue on without them. For now, her bets would be placed all on Kogami. In the meantime, she wanted Gabby’s input, as she told her all she knew, about Scarlet, what she said about the Smiling Mask, and her own opinions. Even on who she thinks could be Scarlet Red, but it was only speculation. “Was there anything you thought of about all this? Your opinions regarding what happened?” she would ask, with a bit of a hushed tone so only Gabby could hear. She would listen to anything Gabby might say until Kogami would show up. For once, she was rather happy to see him, and her gentle smile showed it.
“Heya Kogami. Glad you could make it,” she would say in response to his greeting. When he made his comments about his religion, that did actually give her a bit of pause. Both his religion, which if to be believed, was given to him as a mission from Nyarlathotep, and this Smiling Mask and Scarlet seemed to be going for similar ends. But they were not quite the same. “Not entirely. What interests me is what these people mean by all this. And more importantly, how and why would they do this?” she said in a hushed tone again so the two could hear. After a little bit, it became clear the other two would not show up, and Lorielle would rather not wait. “I guess the others don’t intend to show up. We may just have to go without them. Sorry…” she would say to them. Looking ahead into the crowd, was a pathway ahead, branching off into many different pathways leading into various attractions. Though, they may have to stick to the singular one unless circumstances changed. “Alright then. I guess we should just go on ahead. Staying together would help too. We should be on guard for anything that might approach us, no matter what,” she would say to them. Assuming they agreed, she would lead the walk with them down the pathway and looking around seeing for anything odd, and staying near the group. She knew her way around here, and hopefully, that may come in handy later. She had to put her trust in Gabby and Kogami, as well as help them and keep them safe in places that could be more dangerous than she may think.

Gabby looked around, pretending to be looking at everything the carnival had to offer, but was actually making sure no one was listening to them, “I don’t know. I wasn’t there myself, so I can only speculate on what they say. Personally, I don’t want to jump to conclusions. But, based on what Scarlet said, it doesn’t sound like he wants a fight. If we play our cards right, we may not get into an altercation. Though, I’d harden your heart. It sounds as if he takes those who are in despair and promises them happiness to convert them. I wouldn’t trust someone who said something like that so casually. As for Scarlet Red, I don’t think we’ll have to worry about her. As long as we don’t aggravate the Smiling Man she shouldn’t be a problem.” She had no basis for these ideas. She was only speculating most of it. Once Kogami showed up, she would turn to him, “Glad to see you.” She was being honest.
Kogami’s religion? She knew a bit about it since she lived in Iwaigodai, where the church was. But, she had never caed enough to look in to it. She could only laugh, “Is that your way of saying that Nyar is somehow involved in this?” She only knew the god they worshipped, “I doubt it. A god wouldn’t have to play around like this. The Smiling Man is most likely just a human with some kind of power.” Once again, it was only speculation, “Just be on your guard, you two. We don’t know what will happen.” Lori wasn’t going to wait for Sagami and Cain, and she was alright with that. Personally, she now just wanted answers, “Yes. Staying together would be the best plan of attack.” She made no comment about watching out, since she was already planning on it.

“Your right Gabby, maybe I’m overthinking things. And it’s good to see you as well, you look fine. Both of you do, actually…” Kogami looks over to lori as well, then he puts his hands in his pockets and looks around the busy carnival as he follows lori’s lead. I guess there’s no real time to get a candy apple huh? That’s too bad, its been a while since I been at a carnival…in fact..this is the first time I been at a carnival. “ Kogami shrugs as he simply continued to follow lori, but just pacing around with a nervous look on his face would seem suspicious. It was a good thing his hood was on, he wouldn’t want to attract any attention. Especially with his circumstances, things could get bad. However, Kogami wasn’t trying to think of the bad. “Staying together is the best course of action, we wouldn’t want to get lost. That would be bad, especially in a big place like this. But as long as we have our phones, I’m sure the worst case scenario could be cleared with just one phone call. Its about time we get to the bottom of this…

“I do hope it does not end in a fight,” Lorielle agreed. If there was some way to at least learn what was going on without causing something, maybe this will not go over as bad as she had hoped. But it never hurt to be careful. She would listen to gabby and Kogami speak about how Nyarlathotep was probably not involved and Lorielle would nod. “I agree with Gabby. On the other hand, we have no idea if he is with us or not. Either way we should be careful, but it is a thought,” she said. She never considered that maybe he was given a power by Nyarlathotep. Was that true? This man, and this woman, Scarlet, most likely had a Persona or some sort of power that had to do with Shadows. But was this given to them from Nyarlathotep? Mayb someone else? Along the way, Kogami had made a gesture about food, and to be fair, she did skip dinner for this, to have less risk of getting sick. Maybe if they acted natural it would be okay. “Let’s move as a group, but yeah, let’s get a snack. We might get them out if you catch me,” she said, hopefully signaling to them that maybe they could lure them. Or not; if anything this will help them blend in. If they agreed to, she would point at a nearby candy stand and would walk with the two there. They would have enough time to get something, and take it with them as they would eat it along the main pathway they were walking down. If anyone objected at all, Lorielle would nod. “Aright then, let’s continue,” she would say, and move on down the path with the other two.

The sky over the Carnival began to darken as a hint of red began to form as what appeared to be clouds. The people of the Carnival began to freeze in place with a dazed expression, and the lights and sounds from the carnival would suddenly fall silent. Even the cellphones of those who held the potential would suddenly die, as if the power from them were lost. Suddenly the loud carnival had fallen silent, and there was not a single sound to be heard. The red clouds began to part, and what appeared to be some sort of symbol appeared in the sky.
This darkness was abnormal, and the tint of crimson also held an abnormal feeling. Liquid that were in cups and soaked in the ground from earlier rain began to sprinkle upward towards the sky almost as if gravity had reversed, but yet it had not. Reality itself seemed to be going through some sort of metamorphoses or something along the lines, as nothing seemed to be making sense. The doors to Limbo that were spread around the Carnival all began to open simultaneously, and then would vanish; leaving only a gaping hole into the other world they were previously keeping out. It appeared reality was being swallowed by this other world, and soon after pools of black began to form around the area. The Shadows were being beckoned.. Called here. Reality was losing its presence, and Limbo was slowly coming upon it. What the Smiling Man had spoke on the Deepnight-Deadline was indeed true, reality was going to be swallowed soon. Shadows would become the dominant predator in the real world soon enough.. and this was only further proof. What those without the potential did not know was this was only temporary. A weakened time where Limbo was able to leak out into the actual world. If the Shadows were defeated, everything, in theory, would return back to normal. Either way, it seemed the Masked Man was not there to being with...
Escaping from one of the doorways into Limbo would be an abnormal Shadow that took the form of what appeared to be a tank. It hovered slight over ground heading towards the group of users.
-PvS Battle Phase Commencing. Sub-Boss: "The King" has appeared. It's the killer, do not die. This battle is inescapable.-
Note* Horde of Shadows or Team of Shadows are enemies that share stats, strengths and weaknesses. They, however, attack twice unlike the average Shadow who only attacks once a turn. AoE magic attacks hit these kind of enemies twice.

Gabby looked up as the sky turned red, “Well, that’s not good.” In the back of her head she could feel Hippocamp growling. This was definitely not good. A symbol of a clock formed, and a door was appearing near them. She bit her lip and muttered under her breath as a group of Shadow appeared, “Persona.” Hippocamp would appear next to her, ready to fight, “Send them crashing down.” He sucked in air and roared at the group that had shown up, “You have to hate party crashers.”

Kogami’s eyes turn yellow as Raiza appears next to him and started flapping its wings. “Lets see if we can get away from the excess crowd over there, alright…raiza?!” Raiza made an ear shattering caw in response as it fired a magarula that was heading straight at the horde. “I guess I have some use after all, this is the least I can do.. Ready… Lori… Gabby.. this is going to be a tough one. I fought that King shadow before… alone though... but its different this time” Kogami wasn’t alone this time, and the king shadow’s flunky wasn’t there with him either, perhaps he stayed dead, that was lucky for Kogami then.

Right when they were visiting the candy stand, everything would turn….red…everything from the area around them to the sky. Lorielle did not even need to check her cellphne, because what she was fearing, may be true. She had looked up at the red sky, and gazed upon with widened eyes at the clock, spinning backwards into the sky. She would look around and see everything act much differently, from liquid flying into the sky as well as the couple doors they had passed by leading to Limbo, presumably with the rest, opened and vanished, leaving a void where Limbo….could get through. ‘He was right…Limbo is coming into this world?!’ she thought with a look of disbelief and frustration. But what was happening here attested to her fear. Were they really losing all the time they had? They had little time to begin with and had to hit the ground running as well? Once more, they were seeing similar pools of black form in the same fashion that happened when they all awakened to their power. “We can’t be out of time already…!” she said, her disbelief clear on her face. She wanted this to not be true, but it was. She wanted to do something, and all she was doing at the moment was getting angry. Was this able to be stopped? ‘Had all our fighting and what work we did go to nothing?’ she thought.
Even the Masked Man was most likely not here. They were wrong in their assumption. The clue seemed so obvious about the “clowns” part. Was that part not meant to be taken literally? She did not have time to think, as a small horde of Shadows appeared along with a larger one that she had never seen before. She let out an angry cry as she clutched her head, her golden eyes returning and Yhoundeh materializing in a blood-red mist behind her. She saw that Kogami and Gabby focused on the horde, which was fine with her. She could let all her anger out on the big one. Yhoundeh would send a spear of ice from one of her fingers and shoot it forward to the Shadow. Whether it would hit or not, Lorielle would remain focused on the Shadow, and speak to Yhoundeh out loud. “Did you know about this at all?! Please tell me you know something…” she said. “……” Yhoundeh would not speak to her. Of all the times she would give her encouragement and gentle pushes to help her, she decided not to speak now. ‘Fine, the Shadow dies first,’ she thought. "We gotta get them! Fight the horde if they are still alive Gabby! Kogami, with me if you can!" she advised, giving them all the possible orders she could. If either of them were suspicious of her anger, it would be plain on her face by the time Lorielle had her naginata summoned.

The blades of wind ripped through the horde, destroying various Shadows in the process, but not all of them. From the hundreds that were destroyed from the two bursts of wind, thirty four Shadows from the horde still remained amongst the crowd. They were now well aware of the Persona-Users and counterattacked with their own assault. The horde of Shadows made a screech as a ball of light began to form above head from their combined might. Within a second, the ball of lightning burst into multiple shocks, aimed towards Aithne and Kogami. The Mazionga would not only strike once, but would strike again for a dual twice on both of the users that had stepped forward to fight them.

Lightning hurt. Gabby had to remember that from now on, seeing as she just took a few bolts of it. She inspected the spot where it had hit her, seeing that she was just singed. This would make her angry, had it not been for the fact that she and Kogami just took out most of their numbers too. Hopefully, one more attack would take the rest of them out. She could handle that. Lori, on the other hand, was fighting alone against a brute and it didn’t sound like she was too pleased. That, and she asked for the help, “Kogami, get over to Lori. She needs you more than I do. Don’t worry, I’ll join you once I kill them all.” Gabby didn’t have any other plans aside from killing all of them, so whatever Lori wanted could work. She would give a smirk at the horde before speaking, “Hippocamp, one more time.” With her order, the Persona would attack the same way as before; a nice blast of air from a beast with bad breathe.

The damage was pretty shocking, but Kogami took the attack pretty well. “Alright… don’t die… and don’t hesitate to ask for help either…” Kogami said simply as he moved over to Over to lori with Raiza besides him. “Yo..king.. you remember me? “ This was the same boss that Kogami had a run in before when he ventured into the plains. “Raiza!!!!” Raiza snarled at the king as his wings started to flap, he sent an incredible gust of wind that was heading straight at the king shadow. “ You ok?” Kogami slightly turned his head towards Lori with a reassuring smile as he summoned one of his soul bound weapons, his buster shield. Kogami then remained steady, and ready for any retaliation from the king.

Perhaps Lorielle was getting too distracted by her emotions at the moment. It certainly showed when she missed her attack, and was then hit by the Shadow’s own projectile, causing her to fly backwards, and luckily land on her feet. This was getting out of hand, and while the horde was mostly gone, Gabby had to remain to fight it and finish it off, while Kogami joined her and gave a large blast of wind towards the Shadow, which hit it perfectly. Kogami would look at Lorielle and ask if she was alright, to which Lorielle took a deep breath. She had to calm down, or risk endangering their lives and getting her own life erased. She was ready to go and calm, and would give Kogami a confident smile back. “Yeah, I’m fine. Let’s get to it!” she said standing up right, holding her naginata out. Once again, she would call upon Yhoundeh, still floating behind her and her Persona would unless another spear of ice towards the large Shadow. She took a short moment to face the Shadow, assuming Yhoundeh also aimed properly as well, before firing it at the Shadow. Should it hit, Lorielle would nod. “Alright. Keep going!” she would say. If she missed, she would give another shout of anger, and would be even more annoyed than before, as the miss would put her on edge.
