A Half Assed Plan [Phil]

After planting the bait, Kogami would send a series of phone calls towards local gang members that was around the area of Nadashiki. It was more of a mass text message it a few of his friends that he would work with on some scores, they owed him a few favors on that retrospect. Heading over to nadashiki, Kogami was in disguise as usual, but it was more in plain sight. He looked like one of the clubbers and he practically immersed himself within a group that was planning to party all night. It was easy, when it comes to the guy who brings the drinks, they don’t really ask a lot of questions. This was definitely the night life, and if he was lucky, Aburai Mojii would show up and look for his girlfriend. Sure, the plan was half assed, and he originally did this as a team effort. That was something Kogami would regret, especially after talking it over with the people that was supposed to be on his side. Bad judgment calls, miscommunication, he honestly tried to play it by the book this time. “And yet, I’m always the one that gets cut off.” Sending the picture along with Aburai’s face was also a beneficial thing, if he didn’t cut his hair, it was as simple as taking a picture of the year book, there’s always a separate slot for each teacher and staff.

Once again, such a half assed plan, but what else was he going to do. He lacked a motive to find this man, because even if he was the killer, Kogami didn’t really care. The truth was, Kogami only cared because Lori, Gabby, and everyone else cared. Trying to have everyone’s best interest to heart, he tried his best to do what was best for the group, taking everyone’s opinion to account, giving his own opinion and if a few was alright with it, he acted on it. That was practically the biggest cooperation that Kogami did with anyone, but when the chips are down, even the children would eat each other. After seeing what that Sal girl did, his whole entire drive was to ensure that his own group didn’t turn out that way. That was all wasted, but he was all out of apologies. This was the way it had to be, the simple fact that Kogami can have the best interests to heart, but manages to mess things up without even intentionally trying. So in the end, there was no point in caring anymore. After a while of hanging with the party group with no text message , looking around the streets and not seeing this man, he wondered of all the possibilities. Planning all of this out in his head, he started to wonder of his next moves and all of the worst case scenarios. “ Once again the police could be involved, but I practically set myself up as a drag queen online talking about some random gossip. It wasn’t as aggressive as it was when I directed it to kiryu, which was practically an open challenge to him no matter how it looks. But with no team, who knows… I might not be so “Fortunate…” “ Kogami paused his thoughts to throw out a playful smile and raise his hands in the air.

The rest of the group did a small cheer, he was determined to blend in and it was working. “ What a despair inducing situation…”

Kogami had a small smirk on his face as soon as he revived the phone call. There were always a few people that he could rely on, and they were his fellow delinquents. They were rejects of society just like him, but because they were the same, he could see both sides of the coin. This was always the main point of trust among these kinds of people, loyalty was everything. Those were his brothers, and they did more than a fair share of scores with him. Of course, this was illegal activity, but Kogami had no job and he was a wanted felon. He was in one of those special spots where he wouldn’t pass up on money if it was offered to him, he needed to survive and clear his name. But as Kogami went on, clearing his name started to grow more and more difficult for him. It was like he was cursed, and it was a little upsetting for him. Pondering the situation, he had hope that the guys didn’t use too much force.  “Ehh, I guess that’s what it means to be the super duper high school criminal. Wouldn’t it be a perk if I had some friends with me?”

Kogami finally makes behind the building of the nightclub. “Yo guys, thanks for the help. Ill explain everything later, I just hope you didn’t hurt him. “ Kogami then  points at a nearby guy and calls out his name. “Ace, could you take the hood off him? Might be a little hard to breathe, don’t want him to suffocate. “ Kogami would then wait, starting to brainstorm as to what he was going to do, and what exactly he was trying to do.  There were plenty of endings within his grasp, and getting his friends hurt because this man was the killer was one of them. Having Kogami in one spot where he could find him would be easy, since Kogami had plenty of places to hide.  The second ending was the small hypothesis that he could somehow find out the true motive of this guy and negotiate. There was no real reason to not hear what Kogami would have to say, he would use his girlfriend as leverage. However, he would have to abandon the killer case and go back on the trail of the smiling mask,  which would definitely be a pain in the ass but it would be worth it if he was selfish enough.  This was always a 50-50 of actions when it comes to kogami and his emotions involved. Selfishness and self-perseverance, or selflessness and compassion towards his fellow children? But they abandoned him didn’t they? Either way, that was something he had to worry about on his own. Kogami had a code of loyalty, he wouldn’t betray anyone as long as they didn’t betrays him.


"so, lets wake up sleeping beauty.."

Kogami’s smile quickly faded when his friend Ace started to talk about all of his past failures. Sure, these things happen, and people make mistakes from time to time, but there was no need to rub it in. As a matter of fact this was the first time that Ace ever spoke out against him in such a way, Ace was the one that vouched for him to become a part of the gang. So something was definitely wrong, and there wasn’t a lot of “Taking off the fucking bag off the fucking teachers head”. However, there was a whole lot of talking shit behind Kogami’s back with a weapon, these were the things that you wasn’t supposed to do. Kogami ran with Ace, he knew how things worked, so he wasn’t exactly surprised at the fact that an attack was coming really soon. However, the question is and always will be, why? Handling the attack isn’t anything like a sixth sense, Kogami wasn’t the type of person who can just guess things are going to happen. It’s based off feelings mostly, the tone of his voice was aggressive and slightly upset, and the feelings of being upset about something are usually associated with kicking someone’s ass to make yourself feel better.

Maybe it was instinct after all when Kogami ducked and rolled near the garbage can to get out of the way. He wasn’t some super acrobatic person, so being all fancy with his movements was out of the question. Kogami wasn’t going to summon his soul bound weapon either, this was starting to get ridiculous. “Ace, what the actual fuck man?! That’s not what were about, we don’t turn on our own Ace! I always thought you could of made the better leader but you was too much of a punk to take it up yourself so I took it for you! Are we really going to argue about this shit now?!” Kogami was hysterical, and as soon as Ace removed the bag over Arub-…”That’s not Arubai! You really picked today of all days to fuck with me?! I don’t even know who the hell that is!” Kogami said with a point at the man who was tied up, just some random bystander that’s going to say he was kidnapped by Kogami Shibuya and his band of merry man. This is great, let’s add kidnapping to the long list of things he’s done, and boy how long it is.

Shibuya, did you know there's a hit out on your head right now? 10,000 to see you dead. You're pissing off some big cats, huh?"

Kogami was pretty shocked this time, he wasn’t even angry. Who could afford such money? Who could desperately want him dead up to the point that they were willing to put up a bounty on his head? Looking towards the most recent things he’s done, what was the most recent that he didn’t even put the effort into hiding his identity much to intentionally piss off some rich asshole. And then it hit him, the most common word that he associates with plenty of people, but these people are usually wealthy. “Kiryu…..” Kogami was pissed off once more, this was basically Kiryu saying that the survival game was starting. The survival game that he instigated with a guy that probably has all the money and connections in the world to end his life. “Oh, so that’s how it is? Your coming to take my life Ace? After I shared that casino score with you when I did all the work? Oh yea?!” New gameplan, Kogami could probably hack and slash his way through, but these people were his friends. They took him in taught him how to rob people, taught him plenty of other things, got him a place to stay. Fuck, this means his apartment itsnt safe anymore either. Kogami can’t go home anymore, it’s a good thing he doesn’t attend the church anymore. That’s probably the last place he could go, that and limbo. However, going into limbo would just increase the wound, and he couldn’t afford that. He didn’t want anyone else blaming him, or he would want to avoid making it worse if he can help it.

Either way, it was time to retaliate, but Kogami was going to handle human affairs with human limitations. He owed them that much, and surveying the area proved pretty useful for Kogami. The back alleyway of the club had a lot of trash and random things that kogami could use to protect himself. For starters, there was an old car tire right next to the garbage can. Kogami quickly picks up the tire with his amazing strength, and throws it into the group that was blocking the exit of the alleyway. With the strength backing the throw of the tire, and with the simple fact that the throw would be unexpected due to someone probably misjudging his strength to try, it would probably catch two guys off guard, maybe three. But Kogami was confident in his strength if anything, holding those heavy ass soul bound weapons wasn’t just for show. After the sudden distraction of the surprise throwing attack, Kogami needed a provisional weapon, or something that could be considered practical in this situation. Luckily for him, the metal trashcan still had its lid. Kogami quickly takes off the lid and holds it the same way that he holds his buster shield, having it in front of his chest in a ready position. Taking out a bear bottle from the trashcan and breaking it, he would have his own form of a knife. “Alright Ace….” Kogami had his back against the wall, but at least he wouldn’t have to worry about any attacks from behind.

We lost alot of guys to your shit, and now that you have a price on your head there's a reason we're doing this now instead of later. But just know, Shibuya. This day was coming. Echoes throughout his mind began to fill, it constantly repeated throughout his mind like a broken record player.  Was he really going to lay down his life for these so called “Friends”? They were going to kill him, and with all of these things that were echoing throughout his head, it was hard think. He wanted to cry, he wanted it to end, maybe he should let them.

The voice was familiar, this was none other than the voice that Kogami had in his Chaos Mode.  But why? What was the point? Either way, this wasn’t up for discussion. Maybe  his two sides of a coin personality, only needed one. The stronger one needed to be the more dominant, the current Kogami was too compassionate, social, and weak.  No one would care, and he would continue to say this as his current sub consciousness would slip to the back of his mind, and a more aggressive one would take form.




This Kogami would immediately turn into chaos form and block the attack with garbage can towards the head, and would allow the attack to the kneecap. In his human form, it would of surely been broken and hindered his way of walking. However, he was past the point of human limitations, and his kneecaps was sturdy enough to take the attack head on.  Afterwards, this Kogami would summon Raiza  to appear above him ontop of the roof with an  intimidating shriek as it started to flap its wings rapidly in the form of a magarula.  This magarula would be a high speed wind attack in such a closed area, all of the gang members would hit the wall pretty hard. “Foolish humans, did you seriously think you can approach the prophet with your feeble attempts of harm. Learn from your mistakes in the af- heheh hahahhaha.. oh boy..its always fun to play god!”

"What the fuck!?", Ace backed away from the strange looking being as the gang members did the same. One of the members had been recording with his phone and sending the screen to their employer. After all, he wanted video proof of Kogami's death, right? But he wasn't counting on seeing this strange transformation. When the shriek from above came, the gang members looked up to see the wings begin to flap and blades of wind coming down upon them. Some immediately took off running, while those closer to Kogami were hit in the back and knocked out completely; hitting the ground face first and laying motionless. The remaining gang members that were still standing ran out into the crowds of Nadashiki, yelling various things about a "freak" and "monster" in the back alley. People were confused on what the hell they meant, but regardless the gang members fled for their lives and left Kogami be.

“Hmm, that was satisfying. Now what should I do…hmmmm..hmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmm….Ah! I know…. Let’s See how Limbo is doing! It’s been a while since I played there! Oh what fun! “Kogami then notices that there was a phone on the floor he picks it up and notices that there was a video playing that was already sent somewhere. After changing back, Kogami would frisk all of the gang members and take their money. “Hmm… this must be the guy who wants to kill me. “ Kogami would then pick up the phone and send a mail to the original sender.

Email -“Scum for hire, why kill what you can use? Give me a purpose... think about it..." – K

Kogami would then put it in his pocket and use a magarula to escape to the rooftops.
