| So I had a little discussion with Term Paper about the problem of new members being unable to participate in the current plot properly for being too weak.
I was wondering if we could increase the Awakening Thread requirements by 3 more threads for each rank up desired to start with. That way it is up to the person's decision on when they want to start. Of course it would be limited from Rank 4 to 6. We don't want people coming out of nowhere with Rank 8's.
Also Term Paper has another idea, but I'll let him speak his piece here. | |

| A solution that is also available, which is fairly simple, is just to add some item into the Velvet Commodities store that would increase all newcomers' stats by x amount of points minus the PEnd and MEnd; which could be calculated from the new stats, (Like 50 maybe, probably not that low, but this is only an example). It would be priced to where it is not painful to get in terms of Vc, but it is not being handed out to people. This boon would increase all stats only in certain major event battles like a plot boss fight (The current battle with Scarlet Red would be an example of when this boon would activate), whereas normal trips to Limbo can still give them the opportunity to rank up and get skills.

| In an unrelated note. We're adding that each rank up, HP and SP will get an extra 15 points. This means if you're a Child and you rank up, you'll get 12 points around the board, and an extra 15 points in HP and SP. This is so you don't have to rely on items so much. Enjoy. | |

| In addition to my previous post, the PEnd and MEnd resistance will be lowered from 4% to 2% for every 12 health added to your base stats. I'll edit this in to the actual rules. | |

| So for the problem regarding newcomers gaining strength and keeping it fair, we have come to a solution that we are going to be testing over a period of time. The solution would be to give newcomers the option to start at up to rank 6, with a total of six skills unlocked once they awakened. This makes it so the players do not have to put in as much time into ranking up and will be a lot easier for them.
The drawback to starting that high is that they will have decreased stats, and will not be as strong as those who had ranked up naturally. Meaning, someone who started at rank 6 after awakening to their Persona will not be as powerful as someone who started at rank 3 or 4 and worked up to that point naturally. You will still get the extra 15 HP and SP stats once you rank up, but will not get the extra points to distribute among your stats. This is currently in a testing period. This is also open to suggestion if there is a better idea out there. Thank you. | |

| Alright, so I'm basically going to sum up everything here.
Recently we've noticed newcomers are forced to sit out alot of important fights and boss battles because they are joining later on in the plot where the enemies are tougher and they are basically outmatched. To fix this we decided to implement something so they can stay in the fight, and lend a hand to the Players who have already been here.
How are we doing this?
We are going to allow users to start at higher ranks once they awaken. For example; since this plot is towards the end we're allowing users to start at rank 6. This means all your skills up to skill 6 you can start with.
When it comes to stats, you will level up like normal, HOWEVER you will not be able to distribute the extra stats after each of the previous rank ups. This meaning the skills you start with, you don't get to use the extra stats you would have if you ranked up normally. However, all following rank ups you do yourself, you get the extra stats you may distribute freely.
Users and ASSW who accept this head start will have the starting stats of:
HP: 113 SP: 93 MEnd: 10% PEnd: 10% Pmstr: 28 Ppstr: 24 Dx: 21 Lk: 20
Children and Shadow Selves who accept this head start will have the starting stats of:
HP: 131 SP: 111 MEnd: 12% PEnd: 12% Pmstr: 46 Ppstr: 42 Dx: 39 Lk: 38
It is completely option to start at rank 6 once you awaken. Keep that in mind. We'll be doing a test run with all those awakening soon if they wish to participate in it. | |
