The Current Status at Hand [Cain/Raphael]

"Here we are..."

With Raphael leading Cain towards his museum, he could see that it was rather busy today with other socialites bein around the place. As for the design of the Royal Explorers Vault, it was definitely something to behold. From the outside, the explorer's vault looks looks nice and traditional. It has been built with poplar wood and has brownstone decorations. Small, triangular windows add to the overall style of the museum sides in a very asymmetric way. From the inside, huge braziers attached to one side of each of the twelve marmoreal columns light up most of the hall and shroud it in a dark orange radiance. The paintings of angels and cherubs on the curved ceiling dance in the flickering light while statues look down upon the porcelain floor of this august hall. Plenty of works from the finest artists that have either been dug up or recently created to be immortalized within the city of Endymion.

An ivory rug runs down from the information annex and splits to encircle the entire hall while ribbon banners with gilded needlework droop from the walls. Between each banner hangs a lantern, a few of them have been lit and in turn illuminate the statuettes of late rulers below them. Narrow, stained glass windows depicting ancient legends are neighbored by curtains colored the same ivory as the banners. The curtains have been adorned with emblazoned edges and intricate embroidery while displaying the Royal Explorer's Vault insigna. From within these walls are social sections of the vault, with personal rooms as well for private conversations upon reservations.

The designs give off an air of Royalty once someone steps in, because the items here and the perseverance of the people who created them or obtained them to be displayed here should be treated with the highest respect.

"What do you think?"

Xavier walked with Raphael and looked at the mesuem. It wasn't as he expected. Rather than looking bland, it looked very pristine. Xavier didn't have much eye for decor, but he could recognize a place that had effort out into it. He gave a knod with his head. It was a change of pace compared to what his farm looked like. He attempted to take in the joyous wonder that was in front of him. However is worker bee mind wouldn't allow such pleasures. "So what do yuh need fixing."

While inside he looked around. He examined various exhibits around the room the museum, waiting for a task. "Actually, tell me about some of this stuff here."

"What do I need fixing? Well, I don't know... I walk past the walls of this hall for a different reason. The idea of wiring placement and working electricity is for people who know what they are doing and are good with their hands. Perhaps you can check some of the locks for me to ensure that they are well secured, I do have some rooms that are blocked off to the public. "

But Cain's interest in the pieces of work allowed Raphael to transition towards something he also had an interest in.

"A small tour won't hurt...Right, this way!"

Raphael started off small, stopping in front of a statue of some kind. It looked like a griffon, it was a bit tattered and still had some moss on it. However, it added to its authenticity as a piece.

"This is Mneme, a phantom greek statue. I say phantom because it serves as a ghost of the past or not necessarily visible in our history books. There were numerous amount of gods or symbols that represented a group of people, most of which never saw the light of day again.  This was made to commemorate the people who stood up for what they believed in and paid for it with their lives during darker times. Its position within this community is meant to represent the collective mind of the people and their goals in life for themselves and this community. It was designed by a famous international artist who perfectly captured the natural beauty of the region and used a smooth style to convey his vision in this piece of art. The name of this artist is Apollon Antonioglou..."

There were a few works located in this vault about this artist and the mystery of their life.

Huh. Gods and symbols that represented groups of people are patrons. They were usually patrons to city-states, if I remember correctly. I read about it in a book a week ago."
Xavier looked at the griffin and tilted his head . He had a great urge to clean it up. His workoholic and perfectionist tendencies had began to take over. He decided to at least mention it to Raphael before going out of his way and doing it anyway. " Are you sure you don't want to get the moss off of it? Make it look nicer. For the exhibit. I don't think fungi clinging to the statue is a very nice good looking. I could do it, no problem."

"There is a process of getting it off that I would have to teach you. I figured that the novelty of the item would have grown exponentially with the showing of the moss in order to be the telling sign of its age. But at the same time, I don't mind it being there. But if it really bothers you and you have the time to not only learn how to treat these priceless artifacts but the very bare minimum of amatuer excavating to get the debris off, you might have more of a future here than you originally thought, But that is ultimately your choice.."

Nothing was to be done without his say so, but he could teach Cain if he wanted.
