“Yeah nice try. I promise I will be better in the future,” she said straightening her posture. Maybe she would need to find a way to thin out the sauce. Noodles do not have much flavor on their own already, so maybe if she just heated them up then added the sauce? Maybe she would have to remake it again, and try some more lenience. Taking for her own, a bite of one of the meatballs, she would chew it slowly and see how she did. It was probably the best part of the meal, which to be fair, was not saying much, as while the meatball seemed fine, it had nothing special else besides a mild sauce flavor. Maybe if she added a spice or garlic next time. Turning back to Zong Wu, she would nod at his compliment. “Thanks. Fought a dastardly opponent in kendo with those skills,” she said, grabbing one of her biceps and nodding, sticking her tongue out. Granted, she only one because the man literally ran onto her weapon. So it was mostly a matter of common sense and luck, a victory was a victory. When he said thank you despite his obvious disdain for it, Lorielle regained a bit more of her smile. “Don’t worry, I will get it right next time!” she would say. As the meal went on, she would be feeling a bit fuller by the moment, and she gave a sigh. ‘Maybe this is the end of the day if I am not going to be fit for battle after this meal…’ she thought. She would lean back against the tree after finishing all she wanted to eat.

"Oh, was I this obvious?" Jin asked her with a slight bit of embarrassment.

It turns out Jin needed to brush up on his lying skills. Something that he never really had much opportunity to build upon being a teacher of several school districts in many countries. The teacher was just about halfway through the dish.

He then remarked thoughtfully while continuing to consume the dish, "Dastardly? He sounds tough. You're mean the kendo club captain?"

Jin couldn't think of anyone else being a notable member of the club besides the captain. But, of course, being the person who hasn't been in the school much means he wasn't going to know the finer details of each institution that are in place of the campus. Especially members of each club in that school.

The Chinese teacher glanced at the watch and allowed his eyes to bulge in surprise. This much time had past? He looked back at the sky to see if the sun had gone down yet. The star still was high in the blue overview above. So maybe it wasn't that late. Yet those papers that needed grading...

"Sorry, Lorielle. I'm going to have to cut today's practice short, he began hurriedly and apologetically, I got papers to grade due in a few days. Let me know if you want to practice again. I'll see you later."

With a few more slurps to finish the dish, Jin then gulped the last of his tea before quickly disappearing into the trees with his practice spear back home.
