PostSubject: Re: The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine?    The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine? - Page 2 EmptySun Dec 15, 2013 1:56 pm

Scarlet was between a rock and a hard place, with her vortex at her back and this strange new pixie demon that was summoned by the girly looking male. Before Scarlet could boost herself out the way, she found herself being hit with a blinding light sending her back with huge force into the vortex and then flinging her down onto the ground with a powerful thud; making a small indention in the earth. Laying with her face in the dirt, Scarlet shook her head attempting to regain her bearings. Her golden eyes looked up to see two arrows being aimed towards her, and in response she swiped a hand across her chest and sent a large wave of wind towards Kahn and Hibiki with enough power to send them, and their Personas, flying off the shrine and down the stairs down into the street. Meantime, the arrow went through the wind unphased and struck her completely, tearing through her chest twice and causing her to fall backwards. Placing a hand on the hole through the fabric over her chest where the arrow went through, Scarlet would flip back to her feet and dust herself off. This was becoming a pain, and the longer these boys were allowed to gain momentum the more troublesome this was going to become. She took off in a sprint, grasping the hilt of one of her blades, and taking off in a swift sprint to close the distance between herself and the users. Keeping in mind of the electric net on the ground, Scarlet would do an agile flip over before hitting the ground on the other side and taking a powerful stride forward. If the users went over the staircase from her wind attack, she'd make it to the top of the stairs so she had the high ground. However if they somehow dodged the attack, she would still attempt to close distance between herself and the users, keeping her blade infront of her as if awaiting something.

Kahn covered his eyes slightly as their was a bright light, and he saw a pink object get tossed into the vortex, and then into the ground. Fortunately, the vortex was now gone, and the red haired young man began to remove his blade. He heard the two arrows cut through the air towards Scarlet, and he watched them fly through the wind that Scarlet had summoned. Uh...oh he was still a little stuck, and Richard was exposed. "Oh....cra-" He muttered as the wind struck him, and his Persona. The knight would fade away after getting hit, as Kahn was not keen on seeing the side effects of what additional hits could cause. The magical wind was powerful, but a combination of Kahn's innate resistance to wind, his blade that acted as an anchor, and his above average strength prevented him from being knocked all the way to the Shrine's stairs. However, there was a great fissure where the strength of the wind forced him and his zwiehander back.

Fortunately, this made it easier to remove his blade which he did so quickly, and getting to his feet just as quickly. He watched Scarlet charging them with his green eyes watching her movement. His soulbound weapon was pointing straight up into the sky with the guard resting gently on his right shoulder. This was considered to be a neutral stance for most zwiehander wielders as it allowed the user multiple offensive or defensive uses against an enemy. His knees were bent allowing him to quickly jump horizontally or lunge forward for a preemptive strike. A jump backwards could all be used in case a foe closed in too quickly for preemptive strike or just to make space. If Scarlet were to charge him then he would be ready for her next attack, and would quickly prepare his own counter for whatever she unleashed on him. He was not about to go down so easily!

PostSubject: Re: The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine?    The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine? - Page 2 EmptyWed Dec 18, 2013 6:51 pm

Pixie’s attack worked well, and Hibiki watched Scarlet get flung through her own vortex and then down with quite the force, leaving a dent where she slammed into the ground. As he straightened up from his previous crouch, he could see Scarlet getting hit by two arrows that struck her in the chest, which was most likely Kahn’s work. He had not risked to look over at the other teen before, in case he would have something coming at him. Which he had now, as Scarlet sent a wave of wind towards them, probably trying to swat the arrows away along with hitting them, although the arrows went through anyway. The wind however steadily continued in their direction, and Hibiki didn’t have much time to think about a proper rebuttal to that. He was already prepared to take that blast, even though it would probably hurt, as dodging direct attacks such as this was just not in his nature. Whether it was a good thing or not, Byakko apparently had a different idea considering the situation, as it bared its fangs in a growl, and slapped its tail against Hibiki while still crouching down, which made him grab onto the tiger’s mane on instinct.

‘Wha..?’, he thought in confusion, as Byakko sprang up in the air from its crouch, vaulting them both quite high up over the wind wave. ‘……..’, Hibiki had totally not thought of that. Scarlet did send the wind in a wave from her position on the ground, which didn’t make it too high, as it hadn’t been launched into the sky. He ignored the urge to ponder whether his Persona was smarter than him or he was just slow this time, and looked down, seeing Scarlet grabbing one of her blades, which suggested she was going to rush them, or at least one of them, as he didn’t have time to look back and see how Kahn faired against the wind. Still in midair, he would let go of Byakko, flipping himself down onto the ground, however unpleasant the landing was. He didn’t want to risk Scarlet getting a hit on him while he was up in the air, as that would be even worse that taking the previous one. Byakko, on the other hand, was still slightly above the ground, and would send a wave of electricity towards Scarlet in a downwards motion with a flick of its head, hoping that she would not be able to avoid as she was running fast forward, which could make hard to change direction. Of course, it wouldn’t be much if she used her wind again, but it was worth a try. Whatever would happen there, Hibiki would straighten up from his landing meanwhile, raising his scythe in front of himself, as if he was going to attack her directly soon. He wasn’t completely decided on that yet, but he was willing to cross blades with her if she came close enough for that, as he was already pretty sure he did not like her wind skills in the least. Hopefully, Kahn was going to do something too, whatever happened to him.

PostSubject: Re: The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine?    The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine? - Page 2 EmptyWed Dec 18, 2013 8:03 pm

It seemed that today may prove to be a bit interesting when Cyril walked, nearing the shrine of Nokawia. He had learned of an interesting rumor through a new website that popped up, and it had spoke to go “where the clowns meet”. To Cyril it meant the shrine, since this man was clearly acting like a god, maybe he thought other gods were fools? He would be around the midway point of the steps as he used his eyes, which were well above average, to look up and see what was going on, as he heard plenty of noise. Actually, it seemed others would get this assumption about his clue considering there were people he saw. There was a woman clad in pink; an attire that made Cyril cringe just looking at her, flipping around like a madman and trying to take out a pair of people. On the other hand, he saw two figures, and one of them was rather interesting. One figure had black hair, and had a creature looking like a white tiger; perhaps a Persona? He looked rather plain until he flew through the air trying to avoid an attack from the pink woman. But the other person he saw put a sneer on Cyril’s face.

It was Kahn. No doubt in his mind; as he could recognize the red hair and green eyes, and his stupid grin. That man had left him to die that night at Kizuna Academy. And he had the nerve to continue his life as if he had a purpose? “Well, time to change all that,” he said softly; practically grumbling. His mind suddenly became a single track: revenge and fun was what he wanted this very moment. He had no fear unlike his foolish other self, who hesitated at every opportunity. Nor was he a caring being, he would gladly kill this man for his own sake. Especially when they were focused on her; they would not notice him at all as he took a small moment  to transform into his True Self; the insect Pestilence. He would then quickly take to the skies above the shrine, out of reach of both the pink woman, Kahn, and the other boy. What a perfect opportunity to make his job a bit harder. He would make a hiss and send down a cloud of green mist towards Kahn and the boy, attempting to panic and stop them from using their Persona abilities. As much as he wanted to use it on the pink woman, he understood that she was trying to defeat them as well, which played right into his wishes. Why ruin that? He will just not hesitate to fight if she fights him. So the mist would not hit the pink woman, and only the two Persona-Users. Once it was over, he would remain in the sky, keeping a close eye on what they would do next.

PostSubject: Re: The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine?    The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine? - Page 2 EmptyWed Dec 18, 2013 8:30 pm

Mr. Wendy's took the attack full on and raised his blade ready for a fight. Meanwhile the girlish boy took to the air, Scarlet's own domain, to counter attack. It was a stupid move. Even though he rolled to the ground, his Persona was still airborne and attempting another lightning attack as if it were really going to do anything at this point. The usual green tint coated her body as she shot upward like a bullet with the power of wind pushing her sails. Burst through the lightning, she hit the tiger with an uppercut and pulled it skyward away from its summoner and the other boy. During this time the strange mist was coming down upon them, and her keen yellow eyes caught notice of some kind of monster flying around. Surely another villain to add to the mess! Using that same power of wind she'd release Byakko so he'd fall down to the Earth from the distance upward she had brought him. Continuing to use the wind to propel herself, she'd fly straight after this bug looking creature. She controlled her swift movements accurately, so if he attempted to shift around, she'd do the same to stay in the proper trajectory. It only took a few seconds for her to reach him and attempt to grapple and send a wind influenced knee into his groan. Successful or not, she would use her hand with her blade currently equipped to attempt to repeatedly stab him in his chest three times while remaining grappled with him in midair. Last thing she needed was another pain showing up. It was the Heroes job to defeat the villains here. "Vile villain, this fight you lose!"

PostSubject: Re: The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine?    The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine? - Page 2 EmptyFri Dec 20, 2013 4:08 am

(Not sure how you want to handle this fight in regards to the new rule, I'm just going to assume we're keeping everything the same).

Kahn was ready for Scarlet should she have chosen to attack him, but suddenly she bolted off toward Hibiki's persona hitting it directly after bursting through lighting. As she did so a rather strange mist appeared around them, he looked up to see some bug creature above them raining it down on them. Did Scarlet have help? However, something was distracting him...a growing panic at how bad he felt after taking that hit from Scarlet's attack. The red haired avenger was not sure he could take another. This panic grew bigger and bigger as seconds passed, and as he watched Scarlet release Byakko he would reach into one of his pockets a take out what the Velvet Room commodities had called, 'Medicine.' He quickly opened the lid and downed it all in a few swift gulps. ......That was single handily one of the worst things he had ever consumed in his entire life, and perhaps the bitterest thing that he had consumed as well.

However, whatever he consumed was working he started to feel rejuvenated and in fighting shape. Physically that is, he could not seem to focus enough to summon Richard to his side. Maybe it was because of that mist earlier, how unfortunate seeing that Scarlet was potentially vulnerable while she was fighting something else. Now would have been an opportune moment to strike. He would have told Hibiki to strike, but Kahn was vulnerable without his Persona. It would not be wise to attract her attention at this moment. He would move over to Hibiki and give him a few orders. "Stay ready and rest for a moment while she is busy fighting that bug thing. The longer they fight it out the more rest we get. Then we will be able to fight Scarlet in better condition than we were moments ago." He would say as he took a few steps away from Hibiki, but remained in the same general area so that if Scarlet were to look at one of them she would see the other. However, there was enough room that they would be able to dodge out of the way if they must.

Kahn would try to summon his Persona again, but fail as this panicky feeling was distracting him every time he tried to summon it. "Also whatever that mist was...it affected me I can't seem to summon my Persona at the moment. Don't worry though, I can still hold my own if it comes down to close combat." He would inform his ally, keeping his eyes on the scene above them as he got into a battle stance. However, he would feel himself shake, which irritated him this panicky feeling was starting to grate his nerves. He had to keep a clear head, and think logically about this. If he goes into a full blown panic he might as well surrender to Scarlet now, because he was as good as dead in that scenario. However, he was not in danger, so he was safe....nothing to panic about....yet. He just needed to stay calm. He could handle this!

PostSubject: Re: The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine?    The Masked Invitation, A Smile At The Shrine? - Page 2 EmptyFri Dec 20, 2013 12:29 pm

Well, the good thing was that she didn't hit him, but she turned her attention onto Byakko instead, swooshing him up into the air with another of her wind attacks. That wasn't nice, and Hibiki supposed he should have expected that, as being in the air made his Persona an easier target for a wind user such s Scarlet. Before he could try to do something about it, however, a strange pink mist descended onto them. It didn't affect him but, Scarlet quickly flew up, thankfully releasing Byakko back down. Hibiki looked up to see her attacking some sort of weird bug like creature. He guessed that was where the mist came from, whatever it was.

Byakko, being a sort of cat, managed to fall down on all its fours, although it was a little shaken as it walked off to stand behind Hibiki. Meanwhile, Kahn made his way over too, telling him to stay put for now. ''That may be the best for now.'', he replied with a sigh. Scarlet was up high, so he couldn't have reached her even if he wanted to, no matter how distracted she seemed with the newcomer. He would bet she would just wind through an attack if he tried, and getting up in the air just wasn't an option. Too dangerous.

''That's not good. Although, I'd say, it would be better for you to avoid that. She's probably proficient with her blades. It wouldn't be good to rush it when you don't know what exactly that mist does. Be careful, okay?'', he said, as he moved over a bit too, Byakko following him. He would not go completely close to Kahn, as that would indeed make for a harder dodge later, but he would stand in front of Kahn, in case something happened. While the redhead said he could defend himself, he didn't seem completely okay, and Hibiki wasn't about to go and take a risk of letting him get in the line of an attack now. He would stand with his weapon prepared, while keeping an eye on the action going on in the sky.

Not really having any ability to avoid this, he was charged into rather quickly by the pink woman. After what he did, again he had made a grave error in giving this woman her chance. She would defeat him quite easily with incredible strength and sped, and cause Cyril to fall from the sky into the shrine ground whenever he was let go by Scarlet. Not having any strength, he could not maintain his form and transformed back into his human self. What a fool he was, to walk in so carelessly, the revenge practically palpable. But he made his silly silly decision, and took the fall for it.

He would not be able to say it out loud, but many obscenities were roaring through his mind, particularly hateful sexist ones towards the pink ninja woman. ‘What in the world was her issue? And here I was trying to help the stupid bitch. She is just like the rest of the backstabbers…’ he thought screaming in his head as he hit the ground. Why could he not make it out alive? Why did nothing ever work out for him? He failed just like his other self. That would teach him never to give a woman a chance.

Releasing the bug like being that seemed to lose the will to fight, Scarlet would fall back towards the ground and look towards the two Persona-Users. They seemed to be regrouping. There was a chance the crazy creature was working with them to get her attention. Well it worked, but it wasn't like it was going to save them. As she descended, the aura of wind would once again surround her body. The green hue cushioned her fall as one foot touched the ground before she shot off with impressive speed towards the two users. "You two sure like to talk alot! And ganging up on me? Psh! Villains make me sick!" The wind still remained around her body to propel and protect her, as she extended her arms to create two "blade wings" that stretched out by five meters each way in an attempt at going between them and slashing them both. This also was a clever ploy at separating them if they did not make the right counter.

Kahn nodded, he figured that she would be skilled with her blades. He watched Hibiki get in front of him, though not directly in front of him, to protect him while he was defenseless. He appreciated the gesture, but he would rather fight and hold his own...regardless of how shaky his hands may get. He saw Scarlet began to charge with wings made of wind, and he moved forward a bit. He changed the grip on his blade so he would hold it more like a pike. His knees were bent once more ready to dodge left or right, though he noted with her wings of wind....the most optimal way would be to duck or dive under one of her long wings. Then again that maneuver may leave him open to something else, but if she wanted to charge head on into him while there was about five feet of steel separating the two, then she could go ahead and try. He was practically guaranteed to hit her first with his reach, unless she changed her direction or something else happened. As he readied himself, he saw a light from the corner of his eye. A blue light, and suddenly a very familiar samurai charged out from behind some decorations intent on intercepting and capturing Scarlet.

Moments later Naito appeared from hiding, this caused the panic Kahn had to settle a bit more, "The cavalry has arrived!" He would say not taking his eyes off Scarlet. His back up plan or ace in the hole just appeared, now they could really turn the tides! Scarlet may be a bit upset, but if there was one thing he learned when dealing with the less savory people that gave him a few of his scars, it was to always stack the deck. If Naito's grapple was successful, then he would notice his classmate appeared to be injured somehow.  He would take out another item that the Velvet Room had labeled 'Medicine' and open it up. He wanted to use it on Naito, but oddly enough upon opening the bottle, it would be empty. However, a green aura appeared around Naito briefly moments after the bottle was open restoring him to or near top shape.

However, if Naito's grapple attempt failed, then he would maintain his pike stance with bent knees ready to receive her charge. Once she got close enough he would lunge forward attempting to catch her by surprise before she maneuvered out of the way. Hopefully this would stop her charge cold and knock the breath out of her, if nothing else. If it proved to be effective then maybe this would be a great opportunity that he and his allies could seize, and take advantage of.

Scarlet's attention quickly shifted back to them as the bug like creature fell down from the sky, and transformed into a human. That was indeed surprising. Before, he would have guessed that the thing was a Shadow of some sort, but this was strange. He couldn't recognize the person though, and they had a fight on hand, so he left that somewhere in the back of his mind to ponder over later. This time, Scarlet went swooping head on, charging them with her hands outstretched and coated with wind. That one sure looked painfull to get hit by. Kahn reacted by holding his blade in a way that would intercept Scarlet's charge when she got too close. That wasn't a bad idea. Afterall, she had to meet up with them for her wing attack to hit. As long as they struck her midway, she should at least loose her balance. He crouched down, ready to swipe his weapond forward too, when he got his attantion slightly captured by the sudden blue light coming from the side. He concentrated back on Scarlet quickly though, and saw her getting charged at by a samurai of a sort. He would have been surprised if it wasn't for the familiar voice that sounded soon after.

''Well, alright then.'', he would say shortly, trying to not get too distracted from Scarlet, in case she came through. He was glad for the back up though. It might be much easier this way, although he figured Scarlet was going to get pissed about it. If, Naito's attempt at intercepting Scarlet would be succesful, he'd straighten up and walk a bit closer, watching Kahn go about with the healing. There wasn't much he would be able to do while Scarlet was being held like that, and so he would just wait cautiously, ready to do something in case Scarlet somehow bolted and attempted something.

In case the Scarlet somehow avoided the Persona grappling at her, he would stay crouched down, swiping his weapon forward when Scarlet approached closer, with the blade right in the way where Scarlet was running. In case she was focused on Kahn's sword or running to fast to move about at the last moment, she might just trip over the blade of his scythe. Would be a plus if she fell forward against Kahn's sword too, or the other way around, if Kahn managed to strike her first. Anything would be good as long as she got derailed from her attack, and maybe disoriented for a bit.

As Scarlet charged towards the group she saw the sudden flash of light coming from her side. She turned in an attempt at hitting it instead, but instead of grabbed by some massive hand and smashed into the ground full force. The young woman let out a grunt, as she looked up towards the undead looking Samurai. "Get the hell off me, Villain!" She cursed the monstrosity as she sent a kicked towards its face and shot a splicing burst of wind straight into its head. Of course she had done this right before before slammed back into the ground again and pinned down. Even though she was being slammed with forces powerful enough to probably break a regular human's body into pieces, she continued to fight back. Kicking and screaming for the thing to let her go as the aura of slicing wind surrounded her, and the Persona. If it didn't let go, it would be in the risk of breaking soon. Regardless, she continued to seek her freedom while being caught in this troublesome situation. The orb of wind around herself and the Persona wouldn't let up in a bit, as she had fully planned to rip it to shreds and reclaim her freedom.

Kahn watched as the samurai took a hit and flinched, so Naito was vulnerable to the same thing that he was. Perhaps it was an all around weakness or something. Suddenly The Tsurinai shouted that Hibiki was useless at this moment, and that he would need Kahn to heal him once more. "Consider it done!" He replied as he took out another bottle of medicine and waited. He watched Naito show the skill he had honed multiple times in Kendo Club, thus Kahn was not surprised with the speed that he unleashed a flurry of attacks with. Granted, it was an exchange of blows that occurred Naito took some damage in return so it was not a free exchange, which would have been more optimal, however they had to press her vulnerability as much as they could.

Once the flurry of attacks was complete and Naito was in the clear, Kahn would open the bottle up and a green healing aura surrounded Naito once more restoring some of his health. After he was done healing Naito then he would snap to the neutral stance for zwiehander users. His hands still shook a bit, but they had help they could handle her now. Victory was within their grasp, they just had to seize it, and win the day. Perhaps they could get more answers after all this is done.
