Blood Work [Philemon/Soki's People]

Tsurinai Soki sat in her lab staring at computer screens with faded eyes and a lethargic expression. Giving a yawn, the young woman would stretch her limbs and begin to type on her computer with precision and speed. Looking over her shoulder was her younger sister, with curious eyes. "Onee-chan, what are you doing?" Miki asked innocently as the silver haired woman continued to type with a bored expression on her face. "Research. Apparently someone was killed at the school recently, however there were no physical injuries on their body. It leads me to suspect the supernatural was involved in this murder, so of course the cops won't be able to do anything. I gathered two blood samples. One from the walls in the room he was murdered in, and then his own blood sample to see if there is a match. It's technical, so don't try to wrap your mind around it, Miki." Soki responded in a playful tone to her little sister that contradicted the tired expression that was currently on her face. This test was rather important in learning what really happened in that room. It'd have to be one amazing human to be able to slash up the entire room that badly, and even leave blood splattered upon all the walls. Once the blood test began, Soki would lean back in her chair and wait. After all, this didn't take just a second.

Turning around in her chair she would look at Miki with a tired smile. "It's rare that you come down here in my lab, Miki. Special occasion, or are you up to trouble?" Soki pat her sister's head while Miki crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks. "Nii-san was on the internet last night. I saw him and he said he loved us! When is Nii-san going to come and see us?" When Miki mentioned the strange webshow, the female Tsurinai cleared her throat to hide a nonchalant laugh. She had seen the webshow at all, and just from its contents she could tell that wasn't her little brother. Though she could believe him being in love with Miki, he was nothing but ice cold when it came to her. "I'm sure he'll come when he has time. I'll call him for your birthday." Soki folded one leg over the other and crossed her arms beneath her breasts while thinking. Would he even pick up a call from her? It was worth a shot. Also, what was the deal with that strange webshow? First some weird man appears talking about the world ending, then her younger brother, and soon after a young woman proclaiming her love for another woman? How brave of her! Soki felt as if she were a kindred spirit!

Stars sparkled in those faded as for a few seconds before she released another tired yawn. Man were these days getting longer? She felt so drowsy. And with those Shadows suddenly appearing around Ueitawa, things were getting worst. Sadly her Father had her on standby. She couldn't get involved with the affairs, and if things were to go even more south, she'd have to leave Ueitawa and return home. The young woman gave a sigh and tapped a gloved finger on her pale cheek.
