This paticular thread will have some voiced narration done by myself as an option for those who just want to listen to the thread rather than just reading it. You can think of this like an audiobook version of a work thread if you will. It is of course entirely optional to listen to.
Why am I doing this? Mostly because I want to try it out, and testing the waters a bit. If I like how it turns out, these "Voice Acted" threads will be more frequent for my solo threads. Of course, the option of an actual Social Link thread getting voiced is also open, depending greatly on the characters that are involved. I cannot for example do a female voice all that well, and my voice isn't super deep either. I might do these volountarily during important threads with Lloyd, like when a Social Link is maxed out, just to make it all the more special. If so, I'll of course ask you first, just to make sure everyone involved is okay with it.
Now without further delay, enjoy the work thread, with or without the narration.
Working late night hours wasn't really that big of a deal for someone like Lloyd. Being a man used to staying awake for long periods of time without rest, spending a few hours working at the bar didn't seem so bad to the bouncer. Besides, working late came with some marginal benefits which he certainly didn't complain about, and the job itself not only quite enjoyable, it also payed well. More than one might expect. The club itself was nothing out of the ordinary. The big speakers blasted the halls with loud, techno music, while the interior was quite bombastic to boot, giving the place a very energetic and feel-good atmosphere which was appreciated by everyone. It was almost as if the facility itself urged one to break into a magnificent dancing fever, and many did. It was quite the spectacle to behold, even for someone like Lloyd. But everything wasn't perfect. Because of the club's reputation on the streets, it brought some rather undesirable guests to the bar. Guests which no one really wanted there. But you couldn't just throw people out for no reason. That would just attract legal trouble, which was the last thing the club needed. Much to Lloyd's delight, the rowdier customers usually got drunk enough that throwing them out was justified. He always found it fun to toss a drunkard out on the streets. So satisfying. And tonight was no different. Partygoers came and went, some louder and more obnoxious than others, but usually they were all in all good, friendly people. Most of them came here just to have a good time. Genuine troublemakers were rare, which everyone was quite thankful for. Of course, this being a club, it didn't take too long before Lloyd noticed something going on at the bar. Steering his footsteps towards the noise, Lloyd pushed his way through the crowd. It didn't take long before he had found his troublemaker. An older man with a rather crooked nose and flushed cheeks was making quite a fuss over something. Loud, obnoxious and obviously very intoxicated, this was clearly a problem he needed to deal with. " Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." Lloyd said rather forcefully as he approached the old geezer. " Excuse mea, schonny?" The pungent smell of processed alcohol permeated through the air as the old man spoke with a rather toothy grin on his blushed face. How he was still sitting on the barstool was a miracle, given how incredibly intoxicated he must've been. " I said you can't stay. You're making the other customers uncomfortable." " Urfcmoontable? Noooo, uwhat makes you think thaft?" Lloyd rolled his eyes. Of course he wouldn't co-operate. They never did. " There's no reasoning with him, Lloyd. Trust me, I've tried." The air of annoyance that the barkeep exuded was practically tangible. His patience was running really thin. Giving his colleague an understanding nod, Lloyd grabbed the old bum by the waist and hoisted him over his shoulder, after which he carried the drunkard through the club right to the door, and threw him out. " And stay outside until you're sober!" Closing the door behind him, Lloyd slowly walked back to his post, quite content with another job well done. | |
