Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) Empty
PostSubject: Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby)   Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) EmptyTue Nov 26, 2013 11:22 pm

Times were certainly getting a bit more serious for Lorielle. She had been doing a bit of thinking lately, and she was considering taking a trip with her allies that were available to a certain area, in order to gather a bit of info. There was no doubt in her mind that what had happened in school sometime ago with the Principal, as well as that mysterious Scarlet woman had something to do with the recent events that happened regarding the disappearances to some extent, or maybe the Shadows and Limbo itself. ‘Too many questions, not nearly enough answers,’ she thought, while walking down the streets of Iwaigodai. Her priority at the moment was to go where her thinking has led her, but on the other hand, she knew that going there would be a risk whether she was prepared, or not. So as much as she wanted to go there right now, she will have to put some time aside to do what she was planning today, which was also important.

She needed to find a quick way to get her and her friend Gabby some practice in. They were both not that powerful, and it would be a better plan to get training done, so that they could possibly learn something new. This was favorable instead of Limbo, since there was less risk of dying. She also trusted Gabby to want to fight in order to strengthen herself. She had called Gabby the night before asking of this, and she agreed, to Lorielle’s confidence. She was on her way to pick her up. Lorielle had pickedout an area around Iwaigodai where they could train and not be spotted. A simple warehouse would work wonders when out in the far reaches of the area.

It was also in Lorielle’s mind to call up Kogami. She had mentioned that they may be sparring at a certain time, and conveniently, this day was the time. So along the way, she had planned to stop by the church to pick him up. ‘It would be a good idea to have a mediator calling shots on the battle, given his power’ she thought. After this event today, she intended to go to her location at a moment’s notice. It would also be worth telling the two once she met up with them, as she has not told Gabby yet about this; she only asked for a small spar. She would approach her door, and give a couple knocks before remaining outside. Lorielle would have a greeting smile on her face, as today was not supposed to be too stressful. ‘If anything, this will help us blow off any steam we may have after jumping into Limbo’.

PostSubject: Re: Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby)   Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) EmptyThu Nov 28, 2013 4:15 am

Gabby stretched her body, trying to keep herself awake while waiting for Lori to show up. They were going to fight today, and she needed to be ready. Well, fight in the friendliest form of the term. As far as she understood, neither of them was trying to kill the other, but neither of them had intentions to let the other one win. Whatever this was supposed to be, Gabby was going to be ready for it. Now if only she could figure out the best plan of attack to down, but not kill an opponent. So far, the formula was: see shadow, kill shadow, move on to next shadow, repeat as needed. Transferring that same plan to a person, a friend, no less, was going to cause problems.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knocking at the door. She didn’t need to think twice to know who it was. She got up from the floor and brushed the dust from her knees. With a deep breath for courage, she went to answer, “Hello, Lori.” She put on a smile to greet her friend, “Ready to bring the world crashing down?” She was joking, of course. She didn’t expect them to get that brutal with their attacks. At worst, they would break someone’s window, and could blame it on the throwing rocks, “In all seriousness, though, I hope you picked a good spot. We don’t want to explain the whole ‘summoning beasts out of thin air’ thing to a lot of people. They’ll burn us as witches.” The thought made her shiver. Her only comfort was the fact that sparring with each other meant they probably weren’t going to die, and now she had gone and ruined that, "Never let me speak again, okay?"

Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby)   Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) EmptyThu Nov 28, 2013 11:43 pm

"Heya Gabby," she began, giving her a smile, and a winked eye. She remembered not to hug her this time, and be nice to her. They were all set to go, and Lori had brought nothing but a few bottles of water to split between the two. When she made her joke, Lorielle grinned. "We shall for it under our feet!" she said back. If only worlds could be made so easily, she might have believed her own statement. Looking at her, Lorielle gave a confident smile to address her concern. "Absolutely. Iwaigodai has plenty of places. I have seen some where we can hide in," she said. She would give her a nod and chec her phone. Right on schedule, in fact Lorielle may have rushed a bit over here. She just wanted as much time as possible is all. She would wave at her to follow and turn out to walk onto the sidewalk down the road from her house, walking with her assuming she was with her.

She would pass by the church, not seeing Kogami there, around the time she expected him there, and while she was a bit hesitant to go without him, she would move on ahead. She will have to spend a day here and see him again to explain. She would look down an alleyway leading into a smaller complex to see if people were there. She would turn to Gabby and nod. "Yeah, it's fine. No one is here," she would say, before walking down with Gabby assuming she would follow. If not, Lorielle would try to explain. "That is the best way to the warehouse," she would say. Were they walking together, Lorielle would look around each time the road split to find no people before moving on ahead. Eventually, there would be a general-sized warehouse that seemed to used to hold cars given some old models in the parking lot. Lorielle would give a grin and give a dash towards a door that she had made sure was unlocked, and took a peek inside before turning to Gabby. "All clear," she would say at a bit of a hushed tone. She would wait for Gabby to walk in before she did and would close the door behind her and lock it, to prevent intruders.

Inside, was a large room, perfect for a small brawl. It had eight rows of cars of average size, yet peculiarly, they all had a truck in each row. Though they were all old models, and most likely forgotten. They stretched about a hundred feet while the warehouse itself gave about twenty at the edge of each row, and in between each row was about thirty. They had enter on a door near the left, so they were near the ends of the second and third row to the left. "Cool place. Wish I drove sometimes," Lorielle said with a giggle. She would put down her water near the door, and lean back against the wall. "Alrighty. I am all set, but feel free to prepare, since I showed you where it was....and Gabby?" she would add holding a hand out to her with a grin. "Good luck. Of course I am not gonna hurt you. If it gets bad, just shout and we can take a break. I shall as well," she said. Gabby was probably her closest friend and she wanted to be fair. This was for practice after all. If gabby did not make the first attack when she got situated, Lorielle would walk in between the second the third row of the cars in the middle, ready for battle.

((Feel free to attack first, or wait for me. No issue.))

PostSubject: Re: Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby)   Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) EmptyFri Nov 29, 2013 12:22 am

Gabby followed as Lori led her to their sparing spot. She really did know how to pick a spot, “No one will find us here, as long as we don’t make too much noise.” She observed all of the cars around them and began formulating a plan. She could always try using them as a weapon, but they would crush anybody they landed on, “I don’t know if you’d want to drive these things. They don’t look that good.” As Lori held out her hand, Gabby would look at her and nod, shaking her hand, “Yeah. It’s just for fun, so no worries. I’ll stop when you tell me to.” With that, she moved away from the cars, creating distance between them.

She had to weigh her options. Going first was always risky, but it was also a sound strategy. She had to try. With a smile and a snap of her fingers, she called out for her partner, “Hippocamp” The pain in her head was intense, but she bared with it. If Lori wasn’t going to go first, she would, “Don’t hurt Lori too much now, just play around a bit.” She laughed as Hippocamp swam forward toward one of the cars, hiding behind it so Lori couldn’t see him approaching. He went around the cars, circling her like a shark watching his pray, “Better watch everywhere. Hippocamp likes to be the hunter.” Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. The beast came up from the left of Lori and brought his claws down toward her shoulder. He was following Gabby’s orders and not trying to damage her too badly, but he still had his urges. Trying to hit someone without hurting them, meant he could easily miss her if her wasn't careful. If he managed to hit her, he would sit there, almost taunting her. If he missed, the beast would dive back down behind the cars and circle around her once more, waiting for another opening. Either way, Gabby would speak up, "You okay? He didn't do anything to bad, did he?"

Lorielle watched as Gabby stood from the cars, but still able to be viewed from where she was. She would watch as Gabby would almost immediately unleash her Persona. Lorielle took a moment to call forth her soulbound weapon, a naginata which she held in her right hand. Gabby was to her right, but her Persona was only near her for a brief moment before it flew to the next row over to hide itself among the cars, so most likely, he was planning an attack. Hearing Gabby’s words, Lorielle assumed that her Persona would be the one actually attacking for the moment, and would be on high alert on both sides. Eventually, the Persona she would see coming from her left after her surveying and try to attack her. She could have used her Persona to fight back perhaps, but to save energy, it would probably be wiser to back up. Once more, that plan would only help her if gabby was near her, since she could quickly counterattack. Luckily, she was a very nimble person. Had she not seen the Persona coming, she would have most likely taken the hit even with her agility. She would quickly jump to the car’s side and jump away, avoiding the attack. After the Persona would leave and continue to circle around her, she would make a mad dash towards Gabby, calling forth her own Persona in front of her, which caused her to stumble a bit, in the usual intense pain, but get right back to running, at this point, getting closer, but still not near striking distance, for her at least.

Her Persona Yhoundeh, the elk Goddess of Chaos would fly to Gabby, and in her right hand, a blade of energy would form in her fingertips, the length of the average human being, and make a horizontal swipe towards her. Assuming her Persona was not near her as it was circling around since the rows of cars were rather large, it could not return to take the hit or otherwise, cancel it out. If Lorielle was closer, this would have been easier, but this was for the moment all she had. She would continue to run towards her, still plenty of distance away, though she would hear her words. Lorielle wonder if that was a taunt, and would smile on the way if Yhoundeh made a successful hit on her. "I'm fine! How did that go?" she would say. If it missed, she would grin and remain silent.

Gabby was partially glad to see Lori dodge the attack. She didn’t need her getting hurt this way. The only thing that worried her was Lori calling forth her weapon and her Persona. Gabby could see the Persona rushing toward her, a blade in its hand. Was it going to cut at her? She couldn’t move left or right to avoid a horizontal attack. Instead, she could only move backwards. Based on how she started this fight, she couldn’t move any further back and Hippocamp couldn’t protect her. She would have to take the brunt of the attack. She jumped back the little distance she could, so she wouldn’t have to suffer the full of the blade. Right before Yhoundeh hit her, she called out to her own Persona, “Blow this place to the ground.” If she was going to be in an unavoidable attack, so was Lori. If Yhoundeh was attacking her, the same issue applied to her that applied to Hippocamp. They couldn’t make it back to their owners in time, “That hurt quite a bit. Tell me how this one works out for you.” Hippocamp rose above the cars and got close to Lori. He appeared to smile right before he blew at her, attempting to blow her into the cars behind her, “Sorry, he’s not a kind creature.” If he hit or missed, the beast would go back to Gabby so she wouldn't be defenseless again.

Lorielle, basically running towards Gabby did not take into account her Persona jumping in front of her. Even with her agility, she probably could not have flipped onto a car before the wind attack had hit her, sending her back a few feet and hurting her rather badly. 'Fuck, that thing hits like a truck,' she thought. It really did hurt. It was the element she was weak to, which was certainly an issue in things. But on the other hand, she still had Yhoundeh there while the Persona was returning, and willing it to strike, Yhoundeh would produce a small crystal of ice and firing it basically at point blank range to Gabby, considering she did not move back too far, nor did she adjust her position, so this attack would most likely hit; would be Lorielle’s assumption. Hit or miss, Yhoundeh would return to Lorielle as well to protect herself, and the Persona from any possible attack. It seemed that Lorielle would have to take a more tactical approach this time, and took the moment to rush to the side, sliding over a car to the third row away from Gabby, and remained close to that side of cars. She would bend down under the cars, which concealed Gabby’s view of her most likely as well as provided possible cover. Her agile body went over the car easily, so she had enough time to move at a moderate pace, the distance between the two, with Yhoundeh to her left, ready to defend her if things went awry. She would not respond to what was basically a taunt from Gabby, as that would give away her position.

Hippocamp was near Gabby now and the elk Persona was even closer. Gabby watched as the goddess summoned ice to her hand. It was so close, even a moments delay would mess this up. She had to calm down and wait for the Persona to fire at her, and the moment she did, Gabby bent backwards at the waist. She fell so far back, that she was forced into a back flip. By the time she landed on her feet, the ice shard had passed, “Nice one, Lori. I think I landed on my foot wrong though.” She bent down to check on her leg. She had been under so much pressure when making that maneuver that she hadn’t thought about watching how she landed. The good news was that she didn’t damage it; it was only in a little pain, “Okay. I’m alright.” She couldn’t see Lori hiding in the cars. She could never make a successful attack like this. She grabbed Hippocamp’s mane and pulled herself up, “Those cars are in the way.” The beast understood the message. He blew at the cars, not aiming for anything hiding in them. His only intention was to send all the cars flying out of the way, so Lori had nowhere to hide.

PostSubject: Re: Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby)   Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) EmptyFri Nov 29, 2013 3:39 am

As Lorielle was moving, she would feel a decent pressure, which did not cause her to adjust her moderately slow pace. What did make her stop is up ahead a car was moved into the middle of the row, while the two to either side of it moved a bit near the middle to one side. The wind blast was not too powerful, so it could not do much more, but it was still something to be reckoned with, especially for Lorielle. Luckily, she was going at a speed that might have thrown her off, and could remain where she was without being caught. The only issue was she was at least fifty feet away from her. If she tried to rush to her, she would be spotted immediately. She could try going to the other side of the cars, but she may still be noticed. She would have to remain in her current position. Or would she?

Yhoundeh, still next to her, out of view of the cars, would float near the ground in the opposite direction she was running, and would then suddenly fly up over the cars, much further away from where Lorielle was currently hiding, blasting another shard of ice that appeared from between her thorns. Lorielle assumed that attack would most likely miss anyway, but that was not what was going to help her. The fact alone is that unless they focus on the attack, either her or her Persona would be hit. And if they focused and dodged, it would give enough time for Lorielle to kneel and scurry past the moved cars, and continue on to the edge of the row, still hidden beneath the last set of four cars, behind the third one. Yhoundeh was far enough to where the blast and dodge would give her enough time to make that distance, though on the other hand, should they just choose to take the shot, Lorielle would be most likely revealed if they were still looking at the area where they currently blasted. Yhoundeh would remain where she was, and if her plan worked, that would create a distraction for them, since Yhoundeh was with her when they went hidden. Hopefully the gamble was worth it.

Yhoundeh was moving. Gabby tried to watch her as she moved. She was making more ice. She could easily avoid this attack, so she had to laugh at the attempt. She and Hippocamp moved away from the ice with ease. Why would Lori order an attack that was so useless? It must have been obvious that it could be avoided from this distance. She froze in spot then. Thank goodness Hippocamp had her read up on battle strategies, or she never would have thought of it. People couldn’t focus on two places at once, so by drawing away her attention, Lori was free to move anywhere she wanted. With that plan, Gabby no longer knew where Lori could be hiding. She had allowed herself to fall for such an obvious trap. Now Lori had the advantage again. She could literally come from anywhere. But Gabby knew where she wasn’t. She would never be next to the distraction. She couldn’t move, or she would have nowhere to escape to if one of them attacked again. As long as Lori was hiding, she wasn’t the issue though. Yhoundeh was. Hipocamp could tell what his master was planning, and was all for it. He swam up to his enemy Persona and clawed at the creature’s chest. If he managed to land a hit on her, he would stay attached to her so she couldn’t move toward either of the humans. If he missed, he would go back to Gabby and wait for the next move.

PostSubject: Re: Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby)   Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) EmptyFri Nov 29, 2013 4:21 am

Lorielle, now about thirty feet from Gabby, given that she was only one row over, could probably make her attack now, and then some. Though the problem was that Hippocamp was going directly for Yhoundeh, and that brought Lorielle a dilemma. If she had Yhoundeh evade, which she could easily do, no doubt it would alert Gabby of her position if Yhoundeh moved to help her. She could have Yhoundeh avoid Hippocamp’s attack and remain there, but it would keep the Personas focused on one another, and no doubt that would make most attacks they tried to do moot. She had no other option. Yhoundeh would remain there as Hippocamp struck her, causing Lori to feel a sudden jolt in her head, where for that moment she felt like Yhoundeh was not there. It was as Kogami informed; if it was hit a few times, her Persona may leave her for a moment. And once more, Hippocamp was now attached to her. ‘What, now he wants to give her a cuddle?’ she thought. But that would also mean she could not strike Gabby even if she had a shot at her. So Yhoundeh would summon another ice crystal from above the middle of her horns, and strike directly at Hippocamp, no doubt hitting it, and using that distraction, Yhoundeh would push on him to wrench herself away from him and remain floating in the air in front of him should it succeed. Meanwhile Lorielle was closing the distance, holding her naginata at the ready, and ready to strike at her with her weapon to get a possible edge on her, maybe even catching her off guard given her close proximity to her. She would strike at her by stabbing forward with her polearm, and if hitting would back up some feet to create distance between the two. Lorielle remembered Gabby telling her she was a street performer, so she may have excellent agility, and did not know what to expect. “Oh hi there. Forgot you were there,” she said, finally giving a response to her taunt moments ago, her golden eyes as much as this fight was supposed to be sparring, she was enjoying herself, glad that she knew she had no intention to kill her, and could still revel in a lovely brawl.

Gabby knew that Yhoundeh could hit Hippocamp from such a short distance. Her hope was that it would keep her from being the target, and it worked. She didn’t expect to feel as if Hippocamp was vanishing when he was hit though. Was that the risk of Persona fighting each other? She had to remember that. But now there was distance between them. It wasn’t enough to keep her safe though. Hippocamp would blow at the enemy. Hit or miss, he would stay next to Yhoundeh to keep her away from the humans. He couldn’t let her and Lori have the advantage. Lori was still nowhere to be seen. Gabby was a sitting duck while she waited for anything to happen. Then, she could feel something hit her. She turned to see Lori, “Finally, you’re showing yourself.” There was distance between them now. She didn’t attempt to attack, only keeping the space between them. Hippocamp was occupied, and she didn’t want to call him away at the moment, “Isn’t it nice to have a small fight between friends?” She would be on her guard so that Lori couldn't get her again.

“Now that’s not fair, you got me good earlier,” she admitted to Gabby, giving her a grin. But now there was an even bigger problem surfacing. She expected her Persona to return and go for her, giving Lorielle the chance to attack, but instead he remained, focusing on Yhoundeh. Yhoundeh was floating along with Hippocamp, so she had no way of avoiding the second attack, which brought another feeling of her vanishing, a bit more noticeable this time. She should have had Yhoundeh go low by the cars, and she would have had a chance. She had to make a risk. She would suddenly hurl her naginata at Gabby, missing no doubt to her poor aim, and turn tail and run to the first car of the row where the Personas were battling. Causing the nagainata to reappear in her hand, she would smack the car loudly, hoping to get some sort of distraction from them. They acted like other entities, so maybe with Gabby distracted she could get something out of them. Regardless, Lorielle would have to break out the big guns and start fighting a bit tougher. Yhoundeh, holding her hands near each other, formd a black and purple ball of pure darkness, that grew three long tendrils that would attempt to shoot forward and attack Hippocamp, sending him as far away as possible. If neither of them had moved, then this may be easy pickings, unless Hippocamp decided to move, in which case, would keep Yhoundeh safe from another attack either way from him. Regardless, she would fly down near the ground on the other side of the row from Hippocamp and fly over to Lorielle, to return to her daughter to protect her. Meanwhile, whether her plan worked or not, she would keep the look back at Gabby and prepare herself for any oncoming attack. Though she had to keep in mind if Hippocamp had to come at her from behind, and had to be ready for that as well. “Sorry,“ Lorielle said seemingly a bit embarrassed. It was strange to see how a girl like her could still act this way along with Gabby, but then, this was just a friendly spar. “Had to find some way to keep going right?” she said, almost giggling.

Gabby stepped aside so that Lori’s attacked missed her completely. This was getting intense, and she could feel it. As Lori ran past her, she could tell what was going on. That intense pain that Gaby felt when Hippocamp was attacked, could she feel it too. She could only assume so, “Hippo, avoid whatever is coming. Stop holding Yhoundeh back.” The beast listened and obeyed. As the other Persona created her ball of darkness, Hippocamp moved away from her so he wouldn’t be hit. He returned to Gabby, just as she returned to Lori, “I’m having a lot of fun. We should do more things like this. Only, be on the same team. Deal?” She still had a few more rounds in her. She seemed to be holding up slightly better that Lori was, “Sorry about this next one.” Both Persona were protecting their maters now, so letting hers leave her side was suicide. She smiled, “Maybe we should relax after we’re done here. You know, mend ourselves so we don’t walk around school half beat up.” As she said this, she mounted Hippocamp. She wouldn’t split them up, so she needed to get there the same time he did. She clutched his mane so she wouldn’t fall off and he went straight for them. Gabby was a wind user. She could see that it hurt Lori, but it was what she had. He came close enough to make it look as if he were going to claw at Lori again, but as he approached, he let out a ferocious roar. There was barely any distance between them now. He would bring her down with one more wind attack. If he hit, Gabby would call him off. After all, this wasn’t meant to be anything violent. If he missed, Gabby would just have to put up with a few more attacks.

Exhibition Match (Closed/Gabby) Empty

“Likewise. You are way too close to beating me up. I cannot afford to make you my enemy,” Lorielle said, still hanging on for the most part. Though she would happily agree with her once after a few more goes, they would take a break. ‘I feel like I am practically going on a breakthrough,’ she thought. This battle may pay off for the future. Though the real shocker came when Gabby jumped onto Hippocamp and proceeded to charge at her with an attack. Using her agility, she would jump back to the side of the car and prepare for the strike, ready to counter with her own power as she did not want to take the risk. But the problem was, that she threw her off. As Lorielle was ready to counterattack, the creature instead blasted wind at her, sending her tumbling backward a few cars and onto the ground. ‘Dammit….too close…..cannot take that risk again….’ She thought. Risk was not her style. She could have jumped onto the car, but backing up was the option, and still got her onto the floor. Picking herself up, she would be staggering, having to keep the naginata on the ground for support, and would call Yhoundeh, now beside her, to summon the ice. Only this time, it would be a single, human-sized icecicle shooting up from the ground from them. It would most likely hit Hippocamp, and had it been a stronger attack, possibly Gabby as well. But hitting the Persona would be her best bet. Once the attack was over, she would be struggling to hustle a bit away backwards to gather distance, able to keep her footing for the most part. She would kneel down next to another car in hope it would conceal herself, but most likely, she would be seen before she was able to kneel, but she had little options.
